"We just returned from 5 days at the Hyatt Regency Hotel on the beautiful beach of Clearwater. The hotel was excellent with great views of the gulf from most rooms. Our room was perfect for us with two teenagers. The room had a full kitchen in it which allowed us the opportunity to make our own meals and also enjoy the many restaurants that are in close proximity to the hotel. The hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely go back to the Hyatt again!"

"Grandest hotel on Clearwater Beach! Wonderful balcony views, very nice room amenities. We especially enjoyed the full kitchen. Centrally located so it is easy to walk to restaurants and shops. Hands down the best hotel property on Clearwater Beach and we would definitely stay at this property again if we find a good deal (daily resort fee and parking fees drive up the rate by $40 per night).

With that said, beaches in Clearwater are public so you must cross the street to visit the beach which isn't all that convenient if you are spending time at the pool on the 8th floor and the resort fee does not include beach chair set up. Biggest inconvenience is that the elevators that service the guest rooms are on one side of the hotel and the elevators that service the parking garage and beach access are on the opposite side of the hotel."

"I've stayed in Hyatt Regency hotels in other locations before, so this wasn't my 'first rodeo' with a Hyatt. On a scale of of 1 - 10, I would have to give this one a 6 or 7 based on my personal experience there. (To be fair, one of my main complaints was that the top floor balconies are not covered, and it rained a good deal of the time I was there. Not the Hyatt's fault it rained)

My overall experience, however, went just okay. The valets were great. Very efficient, helpful and friendly; as was our bell man. The front desk staff? Not so much. (At least the one who checked us in wasn't very 'welcoming'. She did her job, but not much else). Also, never could find anyone manning the towel station at the pool, so we weren't able to get towels for the beach). So, I'd give a big thumbs up to the help staff, but only a big 'take some friendliness classes' suggestion to the front desk people.

The parking was an issue for me, as well. I don't think I should have to pay $16 - $20 (valet) to park my car when I'm paying those kinds of room rates!! It should be INCLUDED in the cost of the room. And, not for nothing, but those 'resort fees' were pretty ridiculous too, in my opinion. $20 extra for the use of their 'free' wireless internet, etc.?? Really? Can you say, 'nickle and dime'??

Not gonna lie.....it's a beautiful hotel, with really nice amenities in the rooms. It doesn't have a whole lot more going for it than that. For what it costs to stay there, I don't think it is a super great value. I won't waste my money again to stay there. Just saying."

"The hotel is absolutely beautiful: clean, breathtaking views, great amenities. The downfallis that the parking garage is not owned by the hotel, so we had to pay $16 a day to park there. Also, I think they should calculate the resort fees into the price. We weren't expecting to get hit with an additional $20 a day plus tax. I would recommend eating somewhere else for breakfast....wasn't expecting to pay $110 for a buffet for 4."

"All in all, our trip was very enjoyable....as for th champagne on our arrival, we didn't get that till we asked about it when we were leaving...you are charged a daily resort fee of $20.00....we didn't always receive the morning paper or fresh bottled water daily so not sure if that was included in that fee...had a mani/pedi which was very relaxing since I was the only one there...the nail polish chipped off w/in two days which was the only downfall to that experience. The room was nice, the view breathtaking and we had a week of awesome weather to boot...if not for being a package deal, we probably wouln't have chosen this resort due to the price"
