This hotel is much more than it looks. The beds are soooo comfortable. The room lay out is modern. Love the whole feel of being at Melrose Place lol! The restaurant has the best wings and grilled veggies. To top it off, there is Kayla ( Kaylee?) At the desk. She is the type of front desk agent every hotel needs. She is professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and just the sweetest. She helped us tremendously. She really responds to guest's needs and reacts accordingly.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Busch Garden two nights. Pros: Nice location near USF, room was upgraded due to my platinum status, bed was comfy with a firm mattress (which I prefer), pool was nice. Cons: The only time I was ever greeted was when I checked in; when I would enter lobby from my car during my stay, staff never looked up or offered a friendly greeting.

We ordered our 2 burgers the specialty here and the kids food. Our burgers came and they were so greasy the bread was soaked and falling apart. The burgers cost $13 and no sides with them at all. When we told our waiter that we weren't paying $13 for a grease soaked hamburger we were told that there was no manager on site. The cook "Keith" was very disrespectful. Don't eat there when Keith is the cook. On the other hand James our waiter was very polite very helpful. Burgers suck made by Keith!!!... Read more

Reserved this hotel well in advance of my son's graduation. Spent two nights in a very clean and comfortable bed. Pool was clean and pool towels are available. Breakfast was very good and the staff was very helpful with local directions. Busch Gardens is a quick 1/2 mile walk.

From the outside off 30th Street, there is an moderately landscaped entrance with free parking. The lobby, pool area and courtyard are inviting and decorated. Inside the room there's a larger minifridge, small microwave, one cup coffee maker, a small flat screen tv, a nice sized desk, a wall mounted a.c. unit with a remote and lots of outlets. Behind a large sliding door is a large countertop with a large mirror. Behind another sliding door is the combo shower / tub and toilet. The room was r... Read more

This hotel has been totally updated to a new modern theme. It was well done but in places you can tell it is an older hotel. We were given a very large suite with a separate bedroom with 2 queen beds which was great since there was 4 of us. The separate living space was comfortable with new furniture with a second TV. The bathroom was very large &very clean. We had a good breakfast in the hotel restaurant for a reasonable price & good service. We would definitely think about staying there agai... Read more

We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back. Our room was perfectly clean. The rooms are modern, but I do recommend a room away from the road. The staff is wonderful. We would like to especially thank Tara, Linda, and Ms.Audrey for the excellent customer service.

We really enjoyed this three night stay. Conveniently located near Busch Gardens, Adventure Island and the University of South Florida. I was here for a conference at USF and really enjoyed our stay. Overall it was quiet, the beds and especially pillows were comfortable, and my daughter loved the pool and fountain. The front desk staff was very competent. The Burger place here was conveniently located and delicious. Would definitely stay here again.

I came in for a one night stay and a conference at the hotel. However I did not arrive thanks to plane delays until after 1:15 am. The staff was nice and courteous even when my card was having issues. I could barely function I was so tired and worn out. Ciieve let me go to my room and sleep. I then was able to take care of the issue in the morning. Thank you for understanding and seeing how wiped out I was. While I hate not having a free breakfast the breakfast at the restaurant was good. ... Read more

As a Chaplain, I do a lot of national & international fundraising. I utilized this hotel to host a fundraiser for Sierra Leone, Africa on June 17th & it was a rousing success. The 120 guests raved about the lush tropical grounds, the amiable & accommodating staff, the food & the service. I also use & or highly recommend this hotel to house those who are getting treatment at Moffit Cancer Center or the VA. Their newly renovated suites & amenities enhanced even more an already existing beautiful h... Read more

We were able to get a good deal through the Busch Gardens website for our visit. The staff, overall, was very welcoming and helpful. We did have issues getting enough towels for everyone in our room (we had 6 people and 4 towels) on our last two days. The rooms were clean, but they definitely need to spray for bugs (some roach issues). The housekeeping staff was fantastic and did a great job each day! Be sure that you do breakfast by 9:30 though it is advertised as open until 10 - we had a l... Read more

We stayed at the hotel while visiting the USF campus. The double queen executive suite was very spacious and clean. All of the rooms face inward to the pool/ courtyard area, which was very nice. The hotel restaurant, Burger Theory, had some of the best burgers we have eaten in a long time, with very pleasant staff. The hotel offered a breakfast, but we didn't go. I would definitely stay here again though.

First of all this has not been renovated it is still under renovation. Strong smell of paint all night. Rooms are ok but it's more like a motel than a hotel. I was quoted a price by IHG which when I checked out was nearly $50 more than quoted . It was $115 per room per night which didn't include breakfast which I think is a lot of money for what it is.

This hotel is excellent for being within a mile of Busch Gardens. The suites are well appointed with good facilities including a sofa bed / lounge and separate master bedroom with the bathroom in the middle. There's a fridge / mircowave which is perfect for dining out boxes. There's a central pool which we unfortunately didn't have time to use. Their on-site restaurant is fab value (Burger Theory) and recommended for families as kids eat free whilst at the hotel. Staff at the restaurant... Read more

Loved my stay here, highly recommend. Great location, just a couple of miles from Busch Garden's with complementary transportation to and from the park. The service was fantastic at the front desk, had our rooms set up very quickly with a great greeting from everyone. Available parking, close to various restaurants, including one within the hotel that serves kids menu for free!!! The food was top quality and very affordable.

Very disappointed with the room I received for the price paid. The room was barely big enough for the king size bed. Only one elevator and it was in the back of the hotel. No complementary breakfast. I would not stay here again.

Excellent front desk service from Audrey. Truly customer service focused. Arrived early for check in and she went above and beyond to get checked in so we could enjoy the remainder of the day. Thank you to her for making it a great customer service moment

We stayed with our football team and that is about 75 players - service was exceptional - they were friendly and accommodating to our needs - we had access to meeting rooms and catered lunch they helped us set up as we are not from the area - you can see Busch gardens from it and there are a ton of good places to eat on same street - I would recommend this place to anyone going to Busch or south Florida campus as it is convenient location

My husband and 18month old stayed here for one night and I was less than thrilled with the actual hotel. The room was small although it did have a fridge, microwave and coffee. We had a king sized bed but it took up the entire living area. With an 18th month old - you can imagine, the space shrinks quickly. The wifi in the rooms was terrible and my son couldn't access his network fav's like PBS on his iphone. For those reasons, I probably wouldn't stay here again. If offering free wifi - it shou... To say that your employees are real professional is to not say enough about them. They are superb to say the least. I know as I am a former training manager, and I use that knowledge in my job as a commercial insurance agent. First we start with Audrey at the front desk. She is a super smart person who is a great ambassador for your company as she is the first person to deal with and she does her work with a SMILE and with a POSITIVE Attitude. We had breakfast at the Burger Theory and asked... Read more

From the friendly checkin experience to the top notch service at the hotel restaurant everything was amazing!! Very clean hotel and the setup/layout is so unique. There is a courtyard in the middle with beautiful landscaping and even a koi pond! Like a personal paradise! I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Glad it was only for one night. Older hotel that is in need of updates. Room had a couch so dingy I would not sit on it. The sink clogged up. The restaurant took about 45 minutes to provide food. Sorry to say it, but the only positive for me was that the staff was nice.

I have stayed at this hotel several times as I am a patient at the Moffitt Center, which is only a half mile away. The hotel offers a discounted rate for Moffitt patients as well as a complimentary breakfast. This is a huge perk as patients have enough to worry about. The hotel is always clean and the staff is friendly. The on site restaurant has great food and service. Unfortunately, I'll be back to Moffitt, but it helps knowing I have such a great place to stay.

Came for a conference but brought my family as they went to Busch Gardens. The restaurant staff was wonderful and food was excellent. Front desk not so helpful. Pool is very nice but not heated so we could not really enjoy. The room was beautifully renovated and clean. Funnily enough the newness of the room meant that there was a rubber mat under the mattress that I found uncomfortable. I'm sure they were trying to keep the mattress nice but my husband and I did not sleep well. Meeting area was ... Read more

The room looked dirty. First night someone started running a leaf blower at 8:30PM in the parking lot and woke our kids up. Second night there was a wedding that was extremely loud (I would never have even thought this tiny hotel would have a ballroom). Called for towels and they never arrived. Will never stay here again.
