This is more like a small apartment than a hotel. Plenty of space to relax and the full breakfast with omelet bar was amazing! I'd recommend this for both business and pleasure travel. There were two televisions; one in the bedroom and one in the living room. The living room was spacious with a couch, chair, TV, and desk with chair. The bathroom was luxurious with all the extras. The bedroom had plenty of extra pillows and blanket with a comfortable bed and there was a ton of closet space. A kit... Read more

Hotel was clean, rooms are big, however air conditioner didn't cool the room. Maintenance brought us a fan to use. If the air conditioner worked I would of given this place a 5 star. I did have to pay an additional 25 dollars to check in early and parking is 24 dollars a day.

The hotel itself is in a great location with the trolley stop outside, close access to the Riverwalk and close to the TB Lightening Arena. Breakfast, Manager's reception, pool and room itself was great. We had service issues with the door - our keys would work once and then not work the next time. This happened over six times on our two night stay and was extremely inconvenient. Especially at 2 am!! When I talked to the concierge, they sent someone up to change the battery in the door - twi... We stayed here in April 2016 before our transatlantic cruise to Barcelona. The hotel also had a Budget rent-a-car office, which is what we used to drive to Tampa. The valet park personnel took the car and parked it for us at Budget's part of the parking garage. I did go to Budget's office the next morning to ensure they got the car back, and got my receipt. As for most Embassy Suites, the atrium area is very nice. However, the evening reception was lacking. Drinks were available as usual, ... Read more

Stayed here in March 2016. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are spacious. The pool area is really nice and the pool is heated. You can order food from Trolley's café and take it to the pool. The breakfast and social hour are very good, too. There is a trolley right out front that will take you to Ybor for shopping and restaurants. We rented a car from the hotel and drove to the beach for the day (20 minutes). I would recommend doing that.

This property is centrally located with great views and great service. Rene, at the front desk was efficient and professional, the room service was fast and delicious and the valet service was super helpful. The trolley stops right out front and the views from. The elevators are stunning. I would definitely stay again.

Great staff and spacious rooms. There was something that happened but the staff tried to resolve the issue in a timely manner. Though they did nothing to compensate their inconvenience, the hotel is beautiful and at a wonderful location.

Would recommend this place to anyone as the rooms are big and very clean . The pool has a very nice view off the 3rd floor and is kept clean . Only issue we had was needing to make extra time for valet service coming in and leaving.

This hotel maybe deserves very good to excellent grading until they fix the chaotic, absolutely disorganized valet parking. Nobody serves as supervisor to simple create a line where guests can claim their vehicles. Two times I have to put order and create a line so people can be served as first come-first serve basis. This is absolutely unacceptable for a this type of hotel and the high price for a service you don't receive.

Great hotel if you are going to anything at convention center or Amelie arena, very short walk to either. Rooms are all suites and nicely appointed, only negative is the elevators are a bit slow at busy times. They serve free drinks at happy hour and the best breakfast I have had in any hotel. Omelets made to order by friendly people. Great way to get any day started!

Stayed at this hotel recently for a mini stay-cation. There was a very large conference going on and we were worried that it might not be the relaxing week day we were expecting. Pleasantly surprised. The room was lovely, we actually were up on the top floor, No noise at all. Pretty view of the city. We had the buffet breakfast, very good selections and the food was delicious. The staff worked hard to accommodate the large crowds and kept the place in a tidy condition,

We stayed here because it was connected to the convention hall. This was great and convenient. We were kept busy and really didn't have time to contact the desk about our problem with the air conditioning. While there was a control on the wall and the A/C unit was cooling, it never lowered to 70 degrees to where we set it. On complaining about temperature in our room at checkout the desk clerk said it was a common complaint at this hotel. He'd heard it before. Knowledgeable and helpful front people. If you don't have that you may as well close your doors. To much competition and Embassy Suites has always done a fine job. Had trouble one time, years ago with a night time manager not wanting to keep guests quiet in the lobby at 1:00 AM. With the way Embassy Suites are set up with the lobby in the middle of the rooms, it was real loud. They took care of it.

I am a big fan of Embassy Suites. You get a lot more for your money than other properties--manager's reception, more room, and a great breakfast. This property offers all of those plus a great view of downtown Tampa and the waterfront. It also offers some things that aren't so great like expensive parking. My other criticism involves the hotel pool. It's small and is in shade much of the time--unlike the Marriott pool across the street that I looked at longingly from my room. My biggest co... Read more

This hotel is fine if you are looking for an affordable place to stay. It is not the nicest or cleanest environment. The rooms definitely need upgrading. Again, as in my other reviews of various places, the one horrible part is hotels charging for WiFi. This hotel especially...$14.95 a day. Absolutely ridiculous.

Just stayed six nights there and was not impressed at all. The staff wasn't helpful at all, including standing there watching my wife struggling to unload the bags while I paid the taxi. The Internet was down for two days, which isn't ideal for a hotel catering to business travelers. To top it off, the cleaning service forgot to clean our room twice. The pool and one of the elevators were down during our stay as well. Definitely not worth the price.

I always choose this property when I am visiting Tampa. It is close to entertainment, shopping, and restaurants and offers easy access to highways. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast and evening reception are a plus. Starbuck's located in the hotel is a bonus!

The hotel is connected to the convention center via sky walk which was wonderful! My room was warm and I had a hard time getting it to cool down, the shower tile was pulling away from the wall and the door lock was not locking from the inside. I had room service twice and both times it was fine and fast. The hotel "gift shop/convenience shop" was so tiny and did not have many things but it served its purpose for bottled water. I love the morning breakfast options but wish it started earlier sinc... Read more

This hotel was identified as a conference hotel offering free wifi as a conference guest and Hilton honors member. Three out of the four days, I had no access to free or paid wifi. As a hotel guest, I was instructed to contact AT&T to seek technical assistance for a hotel wide issue. I contacted the front desk manager after being on hold with AT&T for 30mins who offered to contact the hotel engineer. The front desk manager informed me that the engineer was in contact with AT&T and would be i... Read more

This property is tired and needs to be renovated. The manager's party is very weak, with the snacks they put out.The lobby and all common space needs to be upgraded , as well as the rooms. The location is excellent.

Our group stayed at Embassy Suites Downtown Tampa for a conference at the Tampa Convention Center. We booked through the conference agency which sent the information of reservation over to the hotel. The convenience of being so near the convention center was nice but many issues arose before and during our stay. First, I called two days in advance to change the checkout date of one of our 4 rooms. The reservations attendant was very short and rude, stating that I was not able to change the... Read more

Excellent location, walking distance from the River Walk and downtown area. The view of the bay is quite impressive-a great plus- from both sides of the building. Friendly staff quick at check in and helpful during stay as to places to visit! Enjoyed the good selection of small buffet warm breakfast.

Valet parking needs to be better supervised. Breakfast very nice as were the check-in folks. in the heart of Tampa waterside. Tram availability or within walking distance to local restaurants. Somewhat pricy charges for early checking-in and wasn't willing to do late check-out had to ask twice. rooms quite nice I had a suite.

This is one of the largest Embassy Suites properties I have ever seen. I had a wonderful experience and would return. The location is excellent if you have business at the convention center. I didn't rate it as excellent as I had lots of trouble using the wifi and it wasn't available in a crunch when I needed it. Also the parking was all valet and a bit pricy.

Checked in and room smelled of chemicals. 30 minutes in the room and I became ill was moved to another room and Airconditioning didnt work. Sweat all night and slept horrible. Asked them to fix AC why away at work. Came back that night at AC still didnt work. Tech arrived and said hotel GM requires rooms to have preset temperatures. Thats right. You have no choice in room temp! Moved to another room and with tech adjustments and box fan was able to sleep. Next morning I couldnt bathe because on... Read more

We checked in still wearing our wedding apparel. They offered us pineapple water as we waited. The check-in was pleasant and the person was very friendly! I wish that we had remembered to get his name, but we were a bit distracted from the day's events of course (They sent us complimentary champagne and chocolate covered strawberries! SO SWEET! They made us feel very special!). For some reason, the keys would not work when we got to our room (We went downstairs to get new ones, and they did not ... Read more

In April 2016, I made a reservation for a 3 night stay for January 2017, which I do every year. Due to financial reasons, I decided to shorten my stay by one night. After trying several times to modify my reservation, I finally called their corporate office. The Guest Assistance Specialist sent an email to the manager. After several days, I received an email from the Front Desk Manager, Daniela Cabrera, stating that because the hotel was booked, they couldn't change my reservation, which didn't ... Read more

What a sad situation when the Internet service is down, you are at a business deadline, and the staff at the front desk tells you, "Call AT&T." No interest in staying here again. We were leaving for a cruise and chose this hotel to stay at due to the convenient location and they offered Internet service. No Internet service caused me a huge business problem since I had a publishing deadline I could not make!

Overall the stay was fine. Room furnishings were a little old, but fine. Refrigerator and microwave in room, and complimentary breakfast was extremely accommodating. Location was great! Overall good experience. Would stay there again.

Right from the beginning, I knew this was going to be an exceptional stay. Arrived very early but the agent at the desk offered to check me in anyway; as soon as I got to my room I received a text message asking if I was satisfied and if there was anything else I needed to let staff know. What other hotels do this? I had a corner room on the top floor and it was very large with a fantastic view. Valet staff were friendly and took the time to answer all my questions. Convenient downtown Tampa hotel with very good amenities and service. You are right at the Convention Center with easy access to transportation. Breakfast and restaurant on site makes it very accommodating so you don't have to leave unless you really want to.

We had a good stay. Check in was quick and easy and even though we were early our room was ready. Our suite was nice, large and clean. It had everything we required for a 2 night stay. The breakfast was great, lots of choice and although there was wasn't any non-dairy milk on display it was provided when I requested it. The complementary drinks and nibbles were very basic but a nice gesture. The location was great, very central, close to the tram and the river walk. The walk was the highlight of... Read more
