Amazing hotel, right on the water, best service, staff and room in the area. Great for both business and personal travel. If you want the very best at an affordable price, look no further than this hotel. I have stayed here on business for the past 3 years and always have an exceptional experience!!!

This was a great hotel for our weekend getaway. We were visiting colleges in the area and wanted a couple relaxing days. The hotel was great. Location is in a nice quiet area surrounded by condos so the beaches are not crowded. Staff is very courteous and the hotel very clean. They do a great job cleaning and preparing the pool and patio areas early every morning. Great stay!

My wife and I have been coming to the Doubletree Beach Resort for the last 15 years and have never been disappointed with service, food or quality of the rooms. You will not go wrong staying here for a couples getaway or family trip. Pay a little extra for a gulf front room. It is well worth it. It is one of closest hotels to the ocean in Florida. Sitting out on your balcony hearing the roaring of the ocean can't be beat.

We had not been to the St Petersburg/Clearwater area in 20 years. We were not sure where to stay, since we could not remember what all of our options were. I am glad we chose this resort. The room overlooked the Tiki bar and the beach. The room was spacious for three occupants. Cleanliness was not an issue at all anywhere that we went in the resort. The closet was big with plenty of hangers and there was also a good sized chest of drawers. The pool area is bigger than most photos portrayed. On s... Read more

My family spent Thursday and Friday night during early June 2016, and we were pleasantly surprised how this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. We spent the previous three nights at the five-star, Loew's Portofino Bay Resort in Orlando, so we were expecting a slight let down. Not a chance. Redington Beach has a much more laid back, island vibe than the crowded beaches and mega condos/hotels up on Clearwater Beach. This hotel is comfortable and clean but it could use some updating. Our air conditioning was having trouble keeping up with humidity. Parking is located under the hotel and is very convenient. The resort sits on a great spot on the beach. The best part of our experience was the staff at the resort. They were friendly, courteous, and very helpful. The food in Mangoes was good but a little pricey. I would tell friend about this resort simply because of the employees.

Very, very, very friendly and welcoming staff. Really awesome experience here and the location could not be any better. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Directly on the beach with an awesome outdoor area with tiki bar and entertainment. I would stay here again and again and I am very picky. The only downside was the restaurant wasn't the greatest but wasn't bad either. However there are lots of restaurants that are wonderful in the area. First of all let me start with DO NOT BOOK WITH EXPEDIA..as we did. Our confirmation we printed out as well as the person I spoke with both said we would get the breakfast buffet for $8.95 not the regular $16.95...wrong!! The waitress "sent me" to the front desk to work it out ...even after showing the manager my confirmation she explained that Expedia knows better and they continue to tell people the buffet is $8.95 for booking with them..( there was also some issue with what floor they would p... For the money and what I had read prior to booking, not really impressed. I think this would be better if you are Hilton member and book through Hilton, which I did not. My room was on the second floor and over some noisy equipment. Cigarette butts on my balcony. Room was average. Who can complain about a Tiki bar on the gulf though? My favorite part of the hotel. Well I enjoyed that but somebody had charged a whole bunch of drinks and then dinner for two to my room. Had to clear that up before... Read more

Just stayed there last week (June 2016) -- and the only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because it is fairly expensive (and possibly, in an EXTREMELY specific way, because of the location -- I'd prefer that it were a little farther north, maybe around Indian Rocks/Indian Shores). But other than that, I can't say a bad word about the place. The room was up to date and very clean, and the staff was every bit as friendly and helpful as they could have possibly been. They advertise early check in and late check outs. Not true. Do not bother asking........ Our toilet was not clean upon arrival, stools on and in toilet. We found roaches and left them in a coffee filter so they could see when we left. We only stayed one night. Thank goodness. When we complained. They said we are sorry. we will give you warm cookies. This very dated facility needs a complete overhaul. The rooms have been renovated to some degree but this alone did not solve all of the issues. The staff is extremely helpful. This hotel is located right in front of the beach. Rooms with a beach view are great. Restaurant has ample menu. We had breakfast, food was good, priced very reasonably. Only problem I would point out is with how comfortable are the beds and pillows. Not terrible but could be better. My favorite thing about this hotel is the distance from the end of the hotel to water's edge and the tiki bar. I enjoy the beach chairs which were $25.00 daily, but Kevin made sure if you wanted to be under the umbrella you were. You didn't even have to ask. The pier is close for a nice walk too. It's our 4th trip to Tampa where we've stayed at the Doubletree. We enjoy it for its closeness to the water. We also enjoy it for its central location on the coast. Its about as long to get to Clearwater as it is to St. Pete's Beach. It's also central to the restaurants we like to visit, too. Granted, this strip of the Gulf Coast is largely tired, so the Doubletree's condition wasn't a huge surprise. But for the price ($250/nt) I did expect better. The staff was in most cases strong, thankfully. There are some basics missing though: hey can we get some more pool towels? "No, we've run out for the day." Huh?! Stay elsewhere. We live locally but were having some repairs done to our house so we decided to stay here for a few days and "play tourist". We had such a wonderful time and everyone was so friendly and accommodating that I am already thinking about the next time we can escape to the beach and stay here. The rooms with gulf front views are spectacular. The view is just amazing. Everything was spotless and I am a stickler so they really do go above and beyond. The people from the gentleman at check-in to th... Read more

Very nice hotel and very friendly staff. The pillows on the bed could have been firmer to provide a better sleeping experience but the mattress was comfortable. Will definitely make reservations at this hotel again.

As a HOnors member I booked the best room available. Gulf view top floor. When I arrived I noticed the carpet was filthy and had an odor. Looking closer I found moldy food under the chair on the floor. A portable dehumidifier was in the room and frequently needed emptying (by us) often times beeping in the middle of the night waking us up. Our first night there the smoke detector went off for no reason at 3am waking us up. Staff was quick to respond calling to tell us it was a false alarm and ev... Read more

We stopped here for 4 nights after a week in Orlando and we will definitely return. The hotel is in a perfect location if you have a car. Staff were very friendly and efficient at check in. Room was very comfortable and spacious with a good size clean bathroom. Safe, parking and fridge all free. The pool is out the back of the hotel and is very adequate and well looked after. The hotel is located directly on the beach and this makes it an outstanding choice. There are free towels, showers and a ... Read more

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Our room was very clean and the view of the beach was awesome. They cleaned the pool in the morning and the beach. This is a great spot on the beach and we would love to come back sometime!

We wanted to take a couple of days on Gulf Coast while in Orlando area and booked here. Arrived around 1 but didn't get into room until after 4, which was OK, since check in isn't supposed to be until 4. Our reservation was supposed to have breakfast and beach cabana as part of deal, but coupons were not there. Lobby staff made it good, but not until later that night. Restaurant is simple, but good. Breakfast buffet above average. Staff were excellent and did work hard to make things right. How... Read more

I have stayed at 4-5 Doubletrees by Hilton over the past few years on business in various cities around the Southeastern U.S. Though some of them are not as updated as some of the other Hilton chains, my experience has normally been good minus 1 I have visited. This one, however, beats them all by far including the upscale high rise Doubletree in downtown Chattanooga, TN. The hotel is very clean, being a beach located hotel, and the entire staff is by far the most courteous staff I have come ... Read more

Arrived on 8/4 and got to check in early into our 5th floor ocean view room, that was starting out on a good note. Room was clean, nice size bathroom.. AC was noisy and ran pretty much all the time. But that was the worse of it. The staff from the front desk to the housekeeping girls were absolutely the most outgoing, cheerful and accommodating people ever. View was fantastic. we actually watched 2 weddings over the weekend or at least my wife did. I wasn't expecting much from Mango's but... Read more

Very comfortable lodgings on the beach and helpful staff. The atmosphere was friendly, room and food quailty great. The staff makes you feel welcome and go out of their way to assist. As a buinsess traveller this hotel has great rooms overlooking the Ocean. Parking is underground and great fitness, pool bar by the beach and ocean location

$11 calamari was terrible. My bed was lumpy and I couldn't sleep well. I was not on the Honors floor and treated poorly for being having only a silver status and not gold or diamond. My friends received a cheaper rate and breakfast vouchers. It was my birthday and 1st night away from my son, I am still disappointed.

Our 2nd stay this summer, overall a nice property with friendly staff, especially Stephanie at the front desk. Only major complaint was the continuous running and associated noise of both the cooling units and the humidifiers in the rooms. These were on the HHonors floors 5 and 6, and the Gulf view rooms where you pay the highest rates. However I'm sure the problem exists in all rooms. I say cooling units since they seem more like evaporative coolers than air conditioning units. Either that or t... Read more

We stayed at the Doubletree over Spring Break/Easter. The hotel was very busy, but the staff were great! We really enjoyed staying here...the area was fantastic, very family friendly and the beach cannot be beat! The hotel rooms are nothing more than simple standard hotel rooms, but the location is top notch and cannot be beat.

This is my favorite place for a relaxing get-away! My suggestion- get an ocean view room and rent a beach cabana! There were several days on our trip that we never left the hotel, or even the beach- just walk a few steps and have lunch at the tiki bar! I can't wait to go back!

Being we are less than 2 hours away this is a nice weekend destination. The Fri night cookout and beach party is a fun experience for parents and children. The staff couldn't have been more courteous. Spend the extra money for the beachfront view, you won't be disappointed.
