Amazing hotel, right on the water, best service, staff and room in the area. Great for both business and personal travel. If you want the very best at an affordable price, look no further than this hotel. I have stayed here on business for the past 3 years and always have an exceptional experience!!!

This was a great hotel for our weekend getaway. We were visiting colleges in the area and wanted a couple relaxing days. The hotel was great. Location is in a nice quiet area surrounded by condos so the beaches are not crowded. Staff is very courteous and the hotel very clean. They do a great job cleaning and preparing the pool and patio areas early every morning. Great stay!

My wife and I have been coming to the Doubletree Beach Resort for the last 15 years and have never been disappointed with service, food or quality of the rooms. You will not go wrong staying here for a couples getaway or family trip. Pay a little extra for a gulf front room. It is well worth it. It is one of closest hotels to the ocean in Florida. Sitting out on your balcony hearing the roaring of the ocean can't be beat.

We had not been to the St Petersburg/Clearwater area in 20 years. We were not sure where to stay, since we could not remember what all of our options were. I am glad we chose this resort. The room overlooked the Tiki bar and the beach. The room was spacious for three occupants. Cleanliness was not an issue at all anywhere that we went in the resort. The closet was big with plenty of hangers and there was also a good sized chest of drawers. The pool area is bigger than most photos portrayed. On s... Read more

My family spent Thursday and Friday night during early June 2016, and we were pleasantly surprised how this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. We spent the previous three nights at the five-star, Loew's Portofino Bay Resort in Orlando, so we were expecting a slight let down. Not a chance. Redington Beach has a much more laid back, island vibe than the crowded beaches and mega condos/hotels up on Clearwater Beach. This hotel is comfortable and clean but it could use some updating. Our air conditioning was having trouble keeping up with humidity. Parking is located under the hotel and is very convenient. The resort sits on a great spot on the beach. The best part of our experience was the staff at the resort. They were friendly, courteous, and very helpful. The food in Mangoes was good but a little pricey. I would tell friend about this resort simply because of the employees.

Very, very, very friendly and welcoming staff. Really awesome experience here and the location could not be any better. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Directly on the beach with an awesome outdoor area with tiki bar and entertainment. I would stay here again and again and I am very picky. The only downside was the restaurant wasn't the greatest but wasn't bad either. However there are lots of restaurants that are wonderful in the area. First of all let me start with DO NOT BOOK WITH EXPEDIA..as we did. Our confirmation we printed out as well as the person I spoke with both said we would get the breakfast buffet for $8.95 not the regular $16.95...wrong!! The waitress "sent me" to the front desk to work it out ...even after showing the manager my confirmation she explained that Expedia knows better and they continue to tell people the buffet is $8.95 for booking with them..( there was also some issue with what floor they would p... For the money and what I had read prior to booking, not really impressed. I think this would be better if you are Hilton member and book through Hilton, which I did not. My room was on the second floor and over some noisy equipment. Cigarette butts on my balcony. Room was average. Who can complain about a Tiki bar on the gulf though? My favorite part of the hotel. Well I enjoyed that but somebody had charged a whole bunch of drinks and then dinner for two to my room. Had to clear that up before... Read more

Just stayed there last week (June 2016) -- and the only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because it is fairly expensive (and possibly, in an EXTREMELY specific way, because of the location -- I'd prefer that it were a little farther north, maybe around Indian Rocks/Indian Shores). But other than that, I can't say a bad word about the place. The room was up to date and very clean, and the staff was every bit as friendly and helpful as they could have possibly been. They advertise early check in and late check outs. Not true. Do not bother asking........ Our toilet was not clean upon arrival, stools on and in toilet. This very dated facility needs a complete overhaul. The rooms have been renovated to some degree but this alone did not solve all of the issues. The staff is extremely helpful. This hotel is located right in front of the beach. Rooms with a beach view are great. Restaurant has ample menu. We had breakfast, food was good, priced very reasonably. Only problem I would point out is with how comfortable are the beds and pillows. Not terrible but could be better. My favorite thing about this hotel is the distance from the end of the hotel to water's edge and the tiki bar. I enjoy the beach chairs which were $25.00 daily, but Kevin made sure if you wanted to be under the umbrella you were. You didn't even have to ask. The pier is close for a nice walk too. It's our 4th trip to Tampa where we've stayed at the Doubletree. We enjoy it for its closeness to the water. We also enjoy it for its central location on the coast. Its about as long to get to Clearwater as it is to St. Pete's Beach. It's also central to the restaurants we like to visit, too. Granted, this strip of the Gulf Coast is largely tired, so the Doubletree's condition wasn't a huge surprise. But for the price ($250/nt) I did expect better. The staff was in most cases strong, thankfully. There are some basics missing though: hey can we get some more pool towels? "No, we've run out for the day." Huh?! Stay elsewhere. Our 2nd stay this summer, overall a nice property with friendly staff, especially Stephanie at the front desk. Only major complaint was the continuous running and associated noise of both the cooling units and the humidifiers in the rooms. These were on the HHonors floors 5 and 6, and the Gulf view rooms where you pay the highest rates. However I'm sure the problem exists in all rooms. I say cooling units since they seem more like evaporative coolers than air conditioning units. Either that or t... Read more

The back of the hotel has a restaurant and a tiki bar which was 3 steps to the beach and a delight to sit and enjoy a drink or snack while lapping up the view Rooms and staff were great and it includes free covered parking - great for keeping your car cool. Honors members have included breakfast buffet which was nice and upgraded f... Read more

Beach front location excellent, nice Tiki Bar and decent breakfast buffet. Small dated rooms are typical older beach front hotel style, this was not a problem for me personally but thought it might be worth mentioning for others.

We booked a long weekend (Friday through Sunday) at the Hotel in order to get away and relax. The Hotel is neat and clean and the staff is attentive. We had a room on the "premium" floor (6th floor) which was nice but not anything special. I'm not sure why they designate it that way. We enjoyed the balcony on our Gulf facing room. For most people the party downstairs with live music on Friday night wouldn't be bothersome but we are early to bed people and waiting for the amplified music to cea... Read more

Three great days at the resort with a lot of time spent at Mangos Tiki Bar. Every server was super friendly and within minutes knew us by name! Special thanks to Eddie, Krystin, Kimberly and Darla for making our stay so enjoyable!

Stayed for just 2 nights on our way South but felt sorry to leave. The perfect location on the beach with a Gulf view from our balcony. Room was clean and bed was really comfortable. All we needed was at the hotel and the staff were warm and friendly. Very good breakfast buffet. Did not use the restaurant as the Tiki Bar provided a good range of food as well a drinks.

Nice quiet stay with a very friendly staff and great amenities. View was fabulous especially at breakfast sitting outside. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had plenty of diverse foods to meet everyones tastes. Rooms were nice and comfortable. We were there two days and wish we could have stayed a few days longer. Staff was always wiling to help.....no matter where you saw them and asked. Unfortunately there was a domestic dispute in the room next door on our second night. We call... Read more

Good place to stay overall. I would stay there again. Needs an elevator to the beach level. The buffet gatekeeper was very very rude. The other people were nice. The parking is limited. Located on the Gulf beach at a good location.

This was our 2nd year to stay at the hotel and we are so happy we did! We stay on the top floor with a balcony and the view is spectacular!!! Walked the beach ever morning and saw the fisherman in the surf and all the sea birds waiting to get their share! The only complaint I would have is the bed needs to be replaced. Our housekeepers Marina is the absolute best and we were lucky enough to have her for 2 years in a row! This hotel has wonderful people working there and it has a good location to... Read more

Got an excellent rate through a bidding website. Enjoyed our stay. Hotel needs updating and the AC in the room was noisy. Comfortable beds! Beach is nice and a close walk. Beautiful sunsets. Pool was a little small but towels for pool and beach are provided.

Overall a ok stay. Smokers next to our room and it was reported with no response. The staff just told us if it continued to let them know. These people smoked all hours of the night. Beach view room and the partying continued until early morning many nights. Seems there was no patrol on present. We had the patio doors open since the a/c unit was very noisy. You have the perfect settiing but poor attention to details as I mentioned.

Great location. Small pool. No hot tub or fitness room. Staff was friendly and the food on location was decent . Overall I was very happy with the quality that we got for the price that we paid. Also make it easy to park on location.

The hotel is on its own beach, Excellent restaurants nearby. Shaded lounges available on the beach. Great staff all around. Fish Tacos, Pina Coladas. By the way, the water is really, really calm, great for small children. This was such a great find and surprise, Have been back with my family for a mini vacation. All loved it (Nov 3- Nov 6 2016, over 80 degrees every day)
