We had to get a hotel room last minute and found this one on hotels.com for $84/night. It wasn't bad- you get what you pay for. The bed was VERY comfortable! We slept so well during our stay here. The TVs are nice. When you check in they inform you that they take $25/night deposit. This was refunded when we checked out. Good water pressure in the shower. Outdated appliances in the kitchen but who cares? The free breakfast wasn't great but oh well. Again, you get what you pay for. Bahama Breeze i... Read more

As you'll notice, I rarely write reviews. A place must be exceptionally nice, or in this case. Exceptionally bad. After an uninspiring check in, we discovered the AC in our room wasn't working. When we returned to the desk, instead of a quick and easy room change, we were told they couldn't take our word for it, they needed to make us wait while maintenence checked it out. Really? Call your guests liars? It shouldn't matter if I wanted a new room because I didn't like the art on the walls - just... Read more

We've been here to stay numerous times, i like it because i can get two rooms for a reasonable price at the last minute for a quick family trip. My husband likes fishing off the small dock area to just kill time but we also like that is close to other fishing areas. I have noticed however that it seems as if it isn't as nice as it was the first several years visited. Our last room we stayed in (Oct 2015) was very smelly like old wet carpet, but we are born & raised Floridians so during certain... Read more

Growing up in Tampa has given me a bit of an advantage on the places to stay when coming back for a visit. The Chase Suites ranks number one for my family and I. Excellent accommodations, comfortable bed, free breakfast, free wi-fi, full kitchen facilities, fireplace, patio and a great view of Rocky Pointe and Tampa Bay. Compared to other hotels, Chase provides and excellent value, clean accommodations, a nice pool, and the convenience of both Tampa and Clearwater very accessible. A short distan... Read more

Chase suites is a multi-building suites hotel. I was in building 5 and this hotel appeared to have 15 or more buildings, situated on the north end of Tampa Bay, just off the Courtney Campbell Causeway. I found the reception area and my suite clean and functional. The hotel offers free wi-fi and a free buffet breakfast and my room was nice and quiet. There is the option of Bay Front suites, though I did not choose one of these. This hotel comes in at, or around $100 per night, which is good value... Read more

This was by far the WORST hotel experience I have ever had and I didn't even stay here!!!...Where do I begin? First off, I had a large group of friends coming from all over the state to stay. I booked 2 different rooms 4 months prior to the stay and received confirmation for both. The week of my trip, I called the hotel to see if early check in was available, at that point I was told that I only had one room, not two and there was nothing they could do since it was sold out for those dates. This hotel is conveniently located near the Tampa Int'l airport, just minutes from Clearwater and downtown Tampa. Although the suites are comfortable, the bathrooms need some updating. I had to request a suite change because the shower's knob was broken. The staff was polite and made arrangements for another suite rather quickly.

Stayed here with family and the room was not clean and very dirty the person at the front desk said it was a common issue and others were in line with the same issue as me. I'm not a complainer but I will never stay here again.

Very run down. Upstairs unit and the stairs leading up to it were cracked and made noise when you walked on them. Held on for dear life! Furniture from the 80's in desperate need of replacing had holes, tears and smells. Carpet is gross and outdated as well. Don't even try to open the shades, they don't work either. Even if you do, your view is of the neighbor hanging their laundry in the window and the roof falling in. (Pictures attached) Flies all over the window sill. Mold coming fro... Read more

This was/is my second time staying at this hotel and I will probably never stay again. It was a Residence Inn but I guess the owners opted out of the franchise(or got kicked out) We stayed here about 4 years ago for my anniversary, I guess under different management/owners, we had a lovely stay, nice room, extremely comfortable bed, complimentary breakfast buffet, all at a reasonable price.Fast forward to now, I'm typing from my room right now. The only thing still nice is the bed. My first room... Read more

One can have good breakfast for free and a bay side sitting is an added advantage. Nice staff and fine dinning cutlery. Clean suite/studio/Standard room. Ask for suite, they may be bay facing. if they are then you will feel like living in 4 star hotel with bay view :)

I've been to plenty of Hotels and Resorts and this is by the far the worst one I've been to . My children hated it and so did I my kids had no place play and no way of entertainment , the bedding gave us rashes all over and one room was burning hot and the other freezing cold . And the thing they call a kitchen is disgusting it's so filthy the microwave was so small I couldn't even fit a plate in !!! They say they include a breakfast but that "breakfast" is the worst I've eaten I'd rather eat ro... Read more

Maintenance is slow in responding, had fire alarm go off during a thunderstorm, called front desk and they stated maintenance was on his way. Don't know where he came from, but it was 10 minutes later he finally came over and turned it off. The fire department showed up 3 minutes after that, only because another resident called 911 to report it. Apparently someone at front desk or elsewhere cancelled alarm going out for FD response...very unsafe for residents!! There is no dresser drawers to pla... Read more

Having stayed there before on business trips I wanted my girlfriend to enjoy it with me. Bad mistake on my part. In just a few short years (2-3) it is now a rundown, poorly maintained ghetto in paradise. Looked more like what you would expect in a pay by the hour transient property instead of the resort I remembered. Avoid at all costs!!! The only reason I gave it a poor vs terrible was in support of the staff who were friendly and professional but fortunately for them were perhaps only temp hel... Read more

As a family of 4, we loved the idea of having a space for everyone. We had the kids upstairs and my husband and I took the bedroom. This allowed everyone to spread out instead of being on top of each other. With that being said, this was certainly not the cleanest or most modern property we have stayed at. It wouldn't take much to make it feel a little more up to date. The showers were very skinny and the bathrooms weren't the cleanest. The breakfast was less than what we expected~ the room wa... We stayed for 3 days. On the first day the toilet clogged up and flooded the bathroom. We called down to the front desk for maintenance. The guy came plunged and left the bathroom flooded. We asked for a mop or some towels and he didn't understand English. We called down to the front desk to ask if we could come get a mop and they told us they don't have one. So then we requested towels and the snarky girl with an attitude told us she can't give us any. We ended up driving to Walmart to buy a m... Read more

After reading the reviews on the hotel, i was honestly scared about what we were about to walk into. I chose this hotel because it was located close to The University of Tampa, but not IN Tampa. We were taking my daughter to get settled into her new journey,,,COLLEGE!!! I liked that there was a pool, since i am to scared to really go into the ocean, (although we were to busy to use the pool). We stayed here this past August and regretted it from the minute we pulled on to the property. The location is great but this hotel is a dump. Also, there is no beach just a deck overlooking a bay and the highway. The driveway needs repair. The sidewalks to the rooms were dirty and in some areas there was trash. The photos the hotel provides for its website are quite deceiving. We had a two bedroom suite and the living area and kitchen were dingy with old furniture of poor quality. The c... Read more

Checked into this hotel, stayed for 3 hours and had to leave. I was disappointed as soon as we pulled up. Check in was quick and easy the stairway was breaking apart and dirty I was a little scared I'd fall through. The room number sign on our door was broken, like literally falling off but that's just something you can look over right? Fine! We went inside and realised it looked nothing like what we saw on the website. The chairs had some type of stains on them, the kitchen floor was disgusting... Read more

The reviews I saw were very misleading. This hotel is a hidden gem! When we arrived we got checked in quickly without hassle. We got a Bay side room. This is definitely recommended for the view! (See pictures) This place is an ideal home away from home. The room itself was nice, there is a full kitchen with utensils, tableware, and a dishwasher. The room is spacious and includes a desk, flat screen tv, couch, and very comfortable bed. Some reviews say that the place needs updated, but they are ... Read more
