If you are in the Tampa area do no hesitate to stay at the Diuble Tree by Hilton @ Tampa Airport. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The valet parking guys are extremely helpful. Great location and the premises were clean and the rooms very comfortable. Bar next to the lobby very good ambiance. Also very affordable rates.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. We use the park and fly. We have shuttle service to and from the airport when we get in. For the price of parking your car at the airport you can stay the night and get up and not have to stress. Breakfast was great. With Hilton Honors we got it for free.

We have used this hotel for airline flights several times as it is minutes from the airport and offers covered parking for up to 10 days at no additional charge. Also, the facility is clan and quiet, well appointed and the staff are tremendous. prompt drop off and pickup at airport are always the case. No complaints, only praise for this operation!!!

Stayed here for business. Parking was a nightmare, was directed to park at the restaurant next door (but only until 5 pm) then I had to go move my car and look for another space. The building itself was very old and the decor was dated. Weird musty smells in the room (which was even an HHonors room). I did not have a good customer service experience here, the staff were standoffish and refused to even smile, the food was mediocre; this is an old hotel in major need of upgrades and they have bugs (roaches).

Although the breakfast was excellent, the customer service was average and the room was dirty in areas. The room temperature could not be adjusted. The location was good and the shuttle provided was good.

This is an extremely convenient location to stay if you need a ride to the airport and a place to park your auto for a trip while you are gone. The staff is courteous and there are restaurants in walking distance.

This was my first time staying at the DoubleTree located in the Westshore area. I arrived after midnight on 7/14/16 and was exhausted from traveling. All I wanted to do is check in, take a shower, and go straight to bed. I just was not in a good mood that night, but the lady at the front desk changed that. I attend a weekly business owners meeting in the restaurant at DoubleTree. The food is basic, but the bacon, sausage and cook to order omelets are hard to screw up. I was put in a room on the ninth floor so I never thought to look down and see what was smack next to the building before I went to bed. But I kept getting woken up by roaring sounds. The hotel is dated (as many are in this location). The 50% off buffet breakfast for HHonors Silver and Gold members was a plus. My biggest gripe was the lacking of detail to cleaning in the restroom of my hotel room (326). This hotel was chosen on brand experience and hotel convenience. The convenience was nice, but the hotel failed miserably. It was very tired and run down. Although the hotel lobby was updated and nice, the rooms were sub-standard. There was a pungent smell throughout the hotel once you got on the elevator or walking down the hall.

Average hotel of DoubleTree brand. My impression is that Hilton wants to rejuvenate this brand. Beside that, this hotel needs some uplift. Room was relatively small, clean, mattress comfortable, wall built A/C noisy. Front desk staff "hit or miss" some very friendly some not so.

And the warm cookies when you check was the best tast just line grandma cookies in the cool winter the location was pretty easy to find check in was fast and the room was very clean we had a room in the tower but the walk is very long to get to the elevators but overall I love it and would recommend this to anyone

Staff was friendly, rooms were ok and clean, bathrooms on the small side. Breakfast buffet was ok, but Andre made a great omelette. Hotel it self is old and need of remodel. There was a car in the parking lot that had its windows smashed in and tires slashed, still had glass on and around car and was still there the next morning. There were two dying fans that ran all night just outside our room.

My family and i recently stayed at this hotel. The staff were always very helpful. However, the hotel itself seemed like an older hotel that they just put new paint over it. The AC unit didn't work the greatest and it wasn't sealed to the you could see daylight and traffic noise from the interstate through these cracks which helped the florida humidity to come into the room. The staff as a whole were nice and friendly but the girl that checked me in Sunday night was personality ZERO so she might have set the tone for my stay. I stayed here after staying at a Doubletree the night before in West Palm Beach, Fl. Staying at these 2 properties shows that the doubletree brand (Hilton) can vary from city to city largely. I would not recommend this hotel to any Hilton Honors travelers. They would be better to stay in a local or other Brand hotel. Until the cooling systems are fixed customers should not be permitted to sleep ovenight perticulary if they have allageys.

Right from the start this was a great trip. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The staff is awesome. They got me signed up to be a HHonors Member and even upgraded my room. They were very friendly and helpful. The room was awesome...clean and stocked! Breakfast was alright...kinda overpriced for my liking but the selections were great. The bar and grill was great, they were short staffed but you couldn't tell. Service and food was great!

As a Hilton Honors member, I always have high expectations of the Hilton hotels. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. I was booked in this hotel because I was participating in a training. The carpets were dirty, my bathroom was full of silverfish. The bath tub was pretty nasty and the bathroom floor looked like it hadn't been mopped for days. This hotel needs quite a bit of renovations. Restaurant and bsr was very good. I will not stay at this location again.

Enjoyed hotel as I was in the quiet tower location of the hotel. This is a super south Tampa location with easy access to bridge over to St. Pete and Clearwater. Close to airport without the noise. Has bar open late and room service until 11 PM.

Very convenient for a short stay near Airport. Free Bus 24/7 to from Hotel, staff very helpful but rooms need up dating. Sports Bar opposite reception very handy for snack and drink in the evening. Nice hotel with amazing front desk staff we had dinner there and then had breakfast the next day we were to fly out. While at breakfast eating i bit into a muffin only to find something that looked and felt like a bone we immediately contacted the waiter gave him the item he told the chef and gave it to the chef. My friend who is also staying at the hotel described it as vintage. There is plenty of fresh paint but the structure, furniture and decor are dated. The rooms are small. The building it's self looks like it was built in the 70's. I had to change rooms due to a strong musty smell. I get a hotel almost every weekend, and thought I'd spend a little more for this past weekend Sep. 18-19. I got a king size suite for $129.. The real price was $166 according to my bank account. I came here for a two day conference and I was total aggravated by the room and the noise from the highway about 75 feet from my window. Just had a conference here and the staff was very efficient, friendly and accommodating. Bill, Gina, Trish and Iris of Banquet went the extra mile to make our event successful! We had so many last minute changes and they were quick to deliver and didn't give us a hard time at all. They were awesome! The shuttle service crew were friendly and helpful too! Don't chose room 470 or you'll look at a wall with no view. Housekeeping left dirty laundry on the floor in the hallways in the evenings. The overall hotel smells very musty. What an awful night at this Doubletree hotel. After listening to an alarm for about 10 minutes, we vacate our room to find the parking lot full of police, fire trucks, and hotel guests. The main door to evacuate was shut so we manage to find a way out by the pool. The fire was contained in about 15 minutes but hotel did not get their company to turn off the alarms for over 2 hours and then another 30 minutes after that until we got back in after midnight. Make sure you look at your bill before you sign. I stayed here a few weeks ago, I had found a deal on line BOGO showed it to the front desk and I was told " I got it" when I got my receipt 2 days later I was charged for both nights. I called, because i assumed it was just an oversight. Troy told me " i never said i could give you that deal" which is a lie. I contacted corporate, they gave the run around for a week. This hotel and its staff have taken care of me and my Employees on several occasions. The front desk personnel is always accommodating and they offer early morning shuttle service to the airport for my business. Me and my Team are able to save on car rental fees because there are restaurants close by or within the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel for leisure or business travel.

Needs updating. Not worth $100/night unless you are here for a convention IN THIS hotel. While not located in a 'bad area', I would suggest women walking to nearby dining areas, etc, to have company. Came to Tampa for the buccaneers game this pst weekend and had a wonderful stay at the doubletree. Kelli at the front desk was warm and welcoming when we arrived and helped us in every way she possibly could to ensure our stay was nothing short of perfect! I have stayed at many Double Tree hotels in the past. This one was disappointing. The hotel looks to be an older building, cleaned up and sold as a quality stay. The beds were in need of replacement as you could feel the springs as soon as you sat down. No refrigerator in any of the 3 rooms we had booked. I didn't expect the hotel to be a fancy place based on the photos and price. However, I did expect maid service to show up to replace the coffee, toilet paper, and towels. On the third day, I went to the front desk to complain and got some towels sent up. Keys never worked and had to get them replaced daily. Don't waste your time. Find a better place to stay!

We got a great rate less than $100 on a Saturday night so we decided to stay at this Hilton brand location in our quest to keep Diamond status in 2017 with 30 stays in 2016. The room I had chosen on pre-checkin was not ready, but Patricia (Patrice, je pense) from Bordeaux at the front desk went above and beyond and found us a room which was supposedly an upgrade. An unsatisfactory hotel experience! For this price point among competing hotels this experience bottoms out. Maintenance of rooms is below expectations and management's concern for these issues is non-existent. Also this survey is redundantnand tedious.

The employees were very accommodating and friendly! Very nice rooms They were under construction during my visit, but that did not cause any problems. We arrived early and had to wait a bit for a room because they were full to capacity the night before, they suggested we go to lunch and we came back to our rooms being ready, and our group had 4 rooms.

Could be a great property but found dirty underwear on floor of room and broken glass on bathroom floor. Property looks tired but has great potential with a little TLC. Employees courteous but could have done more when my problems were brought to their attention.

This is an older hotel, but it has been well maintained. I found the room comfortable, the gym was above average, and I really thought the breakfast was great. My only issue wads that the parking situation was a nightmare. I stayed two nights last week. I arrived Wednesday around 6 PM. The parking lot was completely full and the garage was closed. I stayed for 3 nights Fri-Sun for my drill weekend. I usually stay on base but for whatever reason it was booked this month so the base put me up at the Double Tree. I had been to the property before, specifically in Players Sports Bar as well an for a holiday party. The hotel is nice, rooms are clean and the food establishments are fun. I am a Hilton Honors Gold member so usually try to find a Hilton. We got a really good rate here ($116 per night). We were upgraded to a Junior Suite. The hotel was fine if a bit odd. It is very large and the room was quite a distance from the lobby. The room was clean, bed OK if not fabulous. The room had a refrigerator and microwave and two large-screen TV's. Representative promise things and don't deliver. Desk clerks are rude. Customer service needs improvement. You have to use one common microwave in the lobby. You have be put on a list to have a refrigerator in your room unless you book a suite.

Bathroom design was mind-boggling! Lights were not over the sink and the electrical outlet was on the opposite wall near the door. The closet was 10 inches wide. Maids were cleaning rooms until 6pm. Comfy bed and great front desk staff! However, I would not stay here again.

This location needs a few improvements. A renovation is of need to meet Hilton's true standards. Housekeeping is horrible. On arrival at 5:30pm the room pre-checked in to was not available. The room we received was OK but house keeping was still working on other rooms as if it were Morning. Sheets lying on the hallway floor. Somewhat dated hotel but location is good for Tampa for what they get for the rates. My biggest complaint with this hotel in there are not enough charging outlets in the room. Nowadays most business travelers are carrying multiple electronic devices. I really don't like having to charge my laptop battery while plugged in on the bathroom sink

In late on Halloween night and had a great stay. Nice folks, nice room and a good rest before heading down the rode the next day. Back on Thursday night and the experience was different in every way negative. First, the room was dirty. Paper on the floor and sticky bottle rings on the desk. I've stayed at many DoubleTree locations and found them to be excellent but this one was the exception. We were there for 3 nights and not 1 time was our room cleaned and serviced. We had to repeatedly request fresh towels and more coffee packets. It was very frustrating to say the least.

At the Doubletree, we experienced predawn truck noise from parking lot outside room 265 which was loud and objectionable; a tractor trailer backing up several times, followed by a cart dragging across the parking lot, and a waste hauler emptying a dumpster were the sources, these activities should not be conducted before 8 am.

I was looking for a hotel close to the Tampa International Airport for a reasonable cost. This Double Tree turned out to be exactly what I was looking for. Everything about it was excellent including the lounge where I had dinner. The only downside is it is a older property and does show signs of wear but is a excellent value near the airport.

All was pretty good. However, I was not a fan of the hotel restaurant. Mostly unhealthy food items and slow, poor service. Housekeeping could be slightly better,but it still was not bad. Everything else was great.

I stayed here for a week on business. Some reviews complained about freeway noise but I did not have an issue with it. The front desk team was professional and very helpful with dining suggestions. WiFi worked great, room was comfortable, and property is very convenient to many restaurants and shops within a 5 minute drive. I will stay here again when in Tampa.

Went to Tampa to visit Busch Gardens during thanksgiving weekend. Hotel was about 15 minutes away from the park. The room was very clean and nice. We got a good nights sleep as the bed was extremely comfortable. The exercise room was nice and the outdoor pool is heated. The price was good as well. We really enjoyed our three night stay

I stay here often, as I have family in Tampa. I like the brand, atmosphere and the staff here at Double tree inn, on West Cypress in Tampa.The friendliness of the staff, they have a can do attitude. We appreciate this.

Rooms are filthy, old and service is awful. I'd rather stay in Holiday inn , Not up to Hilton Standard. Motel bed with spring mattress, Layout of hotel is horrible - so many turns you get dizzy without any signs. Dusty hotel, old and not clean. Employees are not accommodating and rude. Breakfast was disgusting - nothing is fresh - all greasy and not well prepared. Needing a place to park car for 6 nights, this hotel was perfect. Had a very comfortable night before an early flight, room was excellent. Morning of early travel, the shuttle was waiting for us to go, arrived at airport in no time. An excellent way to take and early flight and park car for duration. Highly recommend this hotel.

Could not find a bellman, parking garage is separate from hotel, room I checked in digitally was not clean at 10 pm, placed in another dirty loud room. Needs major repairs. Building doors were not secure. The sports bar/restaurant was great, service and food.

We had a nice time. We checked in early. Room was nice & clean. Housekeeping was so friendly & front desk helpful with everything. The only complaint would be there is no refrigerator in the room. The food was good in players lounge. Breakfast buffet was also really good

Enjoyed our stay over the Thanksgiving weekend. Courteous staff and comfortable rooms. Enjoyed a drink and an appetizer while watching college football in the Players Sports Bar. Overall a nice hotel.
