Location was perfect, central to the Florida State campus, football and baseball fields. Staff was extremely friendly and courteous. Rooms were incredibly modern and clean, plenty of amenities and a great hot breakfast available each morning. The only drawback is the proximity of the train tracks and the 4:30 wake up call from the train.

Sometimes the convenience of staying in a hotel close to your destination can be a good thing , but in this case it definitely is not. Stayed here recently ( near FSU) ,and the road noise is absurd and it doesn't matter where your room is located and here is why : they have single pane windows that lets every little noise into the room. They have refurbished the place , but they really should have impact glass windows and then I would recommend staying here. We were on the 5th floor , in back by... Read more

Walking in the front desk person saw me did not acknowledge me and I waited until she was ready. I wasn't greeted merely asked if I had a reservation. The room shows signs of aging (I'm not sure the bathroom was entirely cleaned before I arrived there was hair in shower and bathroom floor) it is pet friendly for those of you who need to bring your furry friends. If you live spacious rooms this is for you but you will sacrifice a decent nights sleep (I had the misfortune of staying in a room ... Read more

Loved everything about this hotel - cleanliness, service, spaciousness, good breakfast, workout room, etc - but the bed was absolutely terrible. We dubbed it "the marshmallow". It was so soft that we both had neck and back pain the next day.

I am big on cleanliness and customer service. The hotel is very clean inside and out. The person that checked me in was friendly, informative and checked me in quickly. Hot breakfast was included and wasn't bad. The employees that were working the breakfast area were not very friendly, bothered when asked a question and in a hurry for breakfast to be finished to clean up (it was 10 minutes to the end of breakfast and they had already started picking up). My room was spacious, clean and the ... Read more

Very close to FSU. Excellent parking. An older building that looks to be recently updated/renovated. A comfortable and inviting lobby. The desk clerk was very helpful. She upgraded us to a nice suite on the top floor. They must have the slowest elevator in town! Otherwise, a very pleasant stay. The suite was very nice, and spacious. The bed was a tad too soft, though. Their complimentary breakfast was excellent. The fitness center is small with a treadmill and elliptical machine.

I gave this 4 stars because the train isn't anything the hotel can control.. But this thing kept me up all night! I was only staying one night, so maybe I was just there on a bad day - but the freight train is loud and honks every hour at least four times. The room is HUGE, comfy Marriott beds, very clean and a full kitchen with dishes etc. it's a great hotel for both one night and also for extended stay guests. Breakfast is the typical free Marriott spread, no complaints there - it's always go... Read more

We were at the hotel for a meeting at the Tucker Center (about 2 blocks away). The hotel is close to FSU too. I think that they accept dogs -- I heard one barking in a room down the hall, but the dog stopped yapping thankfully. The breakfast is just 'OK'. They will meet guests with a hotel van at the TLH airport. This is a great convenience. But the van does not operate after 10 pm -- could be bad for late arrivals. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is a bar and restaurant next do... Read more

I lived in Tallahassee for many years and recently returned for a visit and my friend's daughter's high school graduation. I chose this hotel because it was close to the Civic Center (five-minute walk), and it is on Gaines Street which is totally different than when I lived there in the early 2000's. When I go to Tally again, I will certainly choose this hotel. The breakfast was great (waffles, eggs, bacon, juice, muffins, oatmeal, etc.), and the pool was fine too (it also has a whirlpool/sauna ... Read more

The hotel itself was very clean and our room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was the BEST that I have ever had in a hotel. They had all kinds of food that was presented wonderfully and taste great.I would highly recommend a room facing the parking lot! It seemed like every person has a loud muffler making it hard to sleep.

We often stay at this Marriott when visiting our daughter at FSU. The hotel is always well maintained, the staff greets us like old friends, and we are always minutes away from events on campus. This will always be our go to hotel when in Tallahassee!

The hotel is extremely clean and comfortable and the bed and pillows are heavenly. It was great having a couch to relax on and the microwave popcorn was a nice touch. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the free shuttle to FSU and to the airport is a major plus. The only downside was that being on a main road, you can hear traffic occasionally, but it wasn't loud enough that it woke me up or interrupted my sleep.

Room was great. Clean nice couch, kitchen. Tried early check in, not available, no biggie. They said an hour, came back a few hours later and not ready (1.5 hours after check in time). Gave me a different room and knocked a little off the price, so ok. Towels not stocked in gym. They deactivated our keys before we left. ice maker in room but made very little ice. Bought a water and Mountain Dew at the market (no vending), $3.26 each plus tax - would expect that from room bar but seemed ... Read more

This was a great 1 night stay after a long day of driving. The hotel was very nice and clean, the staff was friendly and the room was very nice. I could definitely see staying in this hotel for a long term stay. There was a full kitchen, desk, dining table, couch with chaise lounge, comfortable bed and ample space. We had been in the car for several hours so we ordered pizza in from the place across the street. It was very good as well. They delivered right to the room. We enjoyed a n... Read more

We stayed here for three nights while visiting Tallahassee and it was awesome. The whole hotel is modern and new. The rooms are really nice and clean. This was one of the best Residence Inns that I have ever stayed in. We will definitely stay here again.

We love having a bedroom and a living room. The King bed was very comfortable. The shampoo and other amenities are Giovanni brand and smell wonderful. The room was well-kept and clean. The whole property seemed well-maintained. The breakfast buffet includes eggs, meat, biscuits, yogurt, fruit, grits, oatmeal, and a waffle maker. The serving area is kind of cramped. I found it difficult to get through the crowd to reach the beverages in the back. If there are no more tables, there is more seatin... Read more

Stayed at this hotel for our son's graduation, the worst hotel ever. Very noisy, blowing whistle train passes literally under your window, toilet paper roll is left over from previous guests, unprofessional and inexperienced front desk staff.

Stayed here for business. Enjoyed nearby restaurants that you can walk too. Also, close to campus, which makes for a nice walk/jog away from traffic. Room was very spacious and clean. Lobby area was nice and spacious, as well. Complimentary breakfast and comfy beds! I would stay here again!

The hotel advertises that there are eating establishments within walking distance nearby. I arrived with no car and was given a map. The map was not correct; two places were closed (one for good it appeared) and the third was a 90 decibel sports bar with terrible bar food only. Other places are open only for breakfast and lunch. If you arrive with your own transportation it's probably no issue, but it's absolutely not a place to be on foot and looking for dinner. There isn't any.

We have stayed here before and not had so many issues first issue was the door is a pain to get into the next was the air-conditioner sounded like it was going to fall apart several loud distracting noises outside not necessarily the hotels fault but definitely you will not be staying near the pool side (wasn't swimmers).

We stayed here while my son was visiting FSU. The front desk is not what I would call overly friendly. The room was spacious. The full kitchen was great for an extended stay. The pool and facilities were well maintained. The breakfast in the morning was great. Lots of choices and the breakfast staff were courteous, friendly and accomodating. It was a nice nights stay.

This place is the typical and well run Mariott Residence Inn, but is sits right beside a night club. We were here on Friday and to call it noise, was not doing it justice. The bass was so loud that even putting on headphones to Netflix and chill was impossible, as the bass had a big punch. We called down to the front desk several times and they finally admitted they had no control over this club. It stopped at 2 a.m.! Our room faced Gaines Street, but frankly, I'm sure the other side of the hote... Read more

Stayed here for a FSU football game. The hotel appears to be recently renovated and our guest room was great. Very clean and well laid out. Full size fridge was a pleasant surprise and comfortable bed. Plenty of room for luggage so you don't have to keep moving it around to get something out. Nice work area and no problems with internet connectivity. You can walk to the games from here and is within walking distance to many restaurants and shops, including the FSU campus itself. The hotel is lovely. The room is clean and spacious. There is some insane nightclub nearby with music that is so loud the windows on our 5th floor room rattled until midnight. The thumping base made my heart hurt. Note to Manager - you folks need to take legal action against this club. We will never stay here again if that madness is the norm. Doesn't Tallahassee have a noise ordinance?

After checking in I was then informed of the hidden fee to park in the open lot of the hotel per day. When questioned the desk person was told it's on the web site and we charge the fee to all. What good is a web site if you call in your for a room. I have stayed at a lot of Marriott's but never been treated this way so be careful at this place. Who knows what other hidden charges they have .

Checked in late, and the young man at the desk was courteous. The hotel was easy to find, and their lobby clean. The room was large, and nicely decorated. In this extended stay category, they have done a good job in addressing the needs of the traveler. Great breakfast! They have all your bases covered, and FANTASTIC coffee!. Great scrambled eggs, good fruit, several bread options, and if you are in the mood, self made-to-order waffles. The gym has the very basics. Some cardio equipment... Read more
