My husband and I booked this hotel last minute as NYC got too cold and we had to escape to Florida. I wanted to try Bal Harbor, Miami b/c I heard great things from friends and had a good experience at a restaurant there. Also, since we are Jewish and shomer shabbos, we were looking for a convenient area for Jews. Fortunately, our hotel turned out to be amazing. Everything was brand new, great smells, and great decoration. Our room was very spacious, and surrounded on all thee sides by window... Read more

We had been lucky and were upgraded to a 3 bedroom suite. Plenty of room for a family of 4 persons. The west bulding is just on the other side of the road opposite of the main bulding. Breakfast buffet selection was huge. We can also recomment the restaurant for a Sushi stop in the afternoon. The private beach from the hotel was clean and the beach service operated very well with umbrellas and chairs.

Visited this weekend on a girls getaway. The decor was very nice and the beach location was just what we wanted and there was rooftop yoga each morning. Our room had three king beds and 6 bathrooms with 2 mini fridges. Ideal set up. Only issue was we were celebrating a big occasion and asked for a view room when booking. We had a street level floor in the building across Collins, somewhat noisy from street traffic and no view.

This hotel is beautiful .When I did the reservation I was a little worry that it was not the main hotel. You really don't need to stay at the main hotel, you can use all the amenities at the main hotel. The rooms are huge, with two bathrooms.Mine was the standard one.It has a sofa bed ,two Tv's ,and two full bathrooms with a little refrigerator. They have chairs and umbrellas at the beach. The valet is $35.00 per day , but you can park around ,they are a lot of public parking .The staff is amazing ,f... Had a short stay here. Nice location on Collins avenue. Beach and the main hotel building is accross the street within one mikute walk. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and modern rooms. Wifi works well. It is not easy to find a parking spot and valet parking on the bottom floor costs extra. An extra fee for towels and beachbeds is required. Worth my money.

First night and we were really amazingly surprised big en-suite double room with 4!! bathrooms. Really friendly staff and nice facilities! Really recommend for a longer stay. Surrounding of the hotel is nice and you are a couple of steps away from the beach.

Stayed at the Grand Beach Hotel Surfside West. Hotel was looking like brand new. The staff was amazing. Was kept extremely clean, new and tidy. 2 Bedroom Suite was stunning. Both Bathrooms were great n clean. Unlimited overnight Valet parking was excellent for 35$ +tax a day. Didn't mind it though. Resort fee was 25$ + tax but covered beach chairs and umbrella and wifi. WIFI had great speed. Had access to all the amenities(like the beach, restaurants, beach service, health center, spa ... Read more

We stayed here for a couple of nights prior to a cruise of the Caribbean, just to give us a bit of time to wind down before the cruise. The hotel is nice, modern and beautifully presented. It has several pools and is right on the beach, however the pools are only for use between dawn and dusk; even the adults only rooftop pool. Which was disappointing, considering how hot the weather was, it would have been nice to relax and cool down in the pool during the evening. The rooms are large, ours... Read more

We got quite a big room that could easily fit 4 people. Having 2 bathrooms is a very nice touch. The only (slight) inconvenient is that a lot of the "infrastructure" is located at the sister hotel across the street (gym, restaurant).Generally speaking, I really liked the decor (clean, light, modern, stylish) but service could be a bit better. I have a feeling they are understaffing certain positions (front desk? pool?). Wifi is free, albeit slow. Plus, we had to ask more than once for them to ch... Read more

We stayed here with 2 other families following a cruise. It took a very long time to get into our rooms - well after 4PM, but once we were in, they were wonderful. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The rooftop deck and pool area was lovely. This is across the street from the main hotel, so there were no amenities right in the building, but restaurant and beach were just across the street. The walk was a small price to pay for the difference in the rates! Best part was the convenience ... Read more

We stayed here for a wedding nearby. We were upgraded to a family suite with 2 bathrooms. It was really nice and clean. The rooftop pools were a little small. Another drawback was that you had to cross the street to the main hotel in order to get to the beach. Overall, it was very nice and comfortable stay.

the rooms are nice, clean and well designed. the mini bar is empty, there is no room service. so basically you have to go across the street to be in the hotel.. this is an extension with no services. the rooftop pool is well designed, but again, no bar, no food, no service.. i'm not sure if the hotel expects me to pack a picknick basket for the kids or what?!

I almost didn't give this hotel an Excellent rating because of a "Tea" issue which I will explain in a moment. First, the most important reason for the "excellent": the hotel, the sister-site of the Grand Beach Hotel Surfside, located across the street, is gorgeous and much less expensive than the one on the beach-block side of Collins Ave. For the small inconvenience of crossing one street, it is a great value. Second, the rooms were amazing. My husband and I had booked a "King" for ourselves a... Read more

This was a lovely hotel for a family stay we are a family of 4 and we had a junior suite which was huge. 4 Flat screen TV's 4 Bathrooms, 3 Double beds and 2 corner sofas. Everything looked brand new and spotlessly clean. Nice roof top pool. Drinks are not cheap but service is very good. Would definitely stay again

Simply an amazing place to stay, not on the beach, but across the beach! Located in Surfside, 3 minutes away from the Bal Harbour ritzy mall and 15 minutes from South Beach. Restaurants, supermarkets, hair salons, boutiques and more right there in the area. The small hotel on the west is part of the big hotel on the beach. All the amenities of the big hotel are available to the guests of the west building. The rooms are fabulous, big, clean, excellent bedding ( good beds, good sheets, good pill... Read more

My wife and I stayed here mid August 2016. We chose the Surfside west location as the larger hotel across the street was double the price. As soon as we arrived, we felt totally in the good hands. Smiles, kind words.. The room was beautiful and spacious and my wife was thrilled. The pool on the roof is exclusive and peaceful. They also told us we could use the amenities and facilities across the street(2 pools, state of the art fitness..) but we enjoyed the cozy and smaller and more private spac... Read more

Stayed here for 5 nights, party of 7. We had originally booked two rooms but were upgraded on arrival to two suites....WOW.... So we had two adults and two children in one suite and two adults and one teenager in the other suite.. Each suite was two bedroomed with a double bed and a sofa bed in each bedroom... This meant 4 bathrooms and 4 TV's in each suite...Felt totally spoilt... The rooms themselves are very modern and very nice.. Staff are all very friendly, beach is lovely and the pools are... While visiting Miami earlier this weekend my wife and I had the pleasant opportunity to stay at Grand Beach Hotel Surfside West, directly across the street from Grand Beach Hotel Surfside and the beach.. The hotel was great. Large, comfortable rooms and a helpful staff. Excellent value for Miami Beach. Staying at the West tower means you have to cross the street to get to the beach, but it isn't particularly stressful. The hotel provides chairs and umbrellas as well as a little stand with fruit and water.

Its the second time I stay in this hotel. The rooms are great and the location is excellent but the service is the worst. We asked for some boxes to be delivered to the hotel and they did not find them, the manager had to step in and find them. They took more than an hour to send someone to pick up luggage when we were leaving. I asked for some ice glasses and plates and they told me that will take 30 minutes. Terrible service!
