We had the pleasure of meeting friends for wine and snacks at this classic Florida hotel. The wine list was delightful as was the service and terrace ambiance. Hence we plan to make this our go to spot for cocktails and light snacks in future......

A superb blend of fabulous customer service, famous historical hotel, and fantastic dining experience. In my opinion, has the best fish tacos I have had anywhere. It is on the very short list of vacation spots to which I would return.

I loved our stay at the Vinoy. The hotel is a classic. It has a very nice pool and great poolside service. Our room was spacious and lovely. The location is right in St. Pete, so you can walk everywhere. If you want to stay in town, no need for a car. You can get taxis or Uber if you want to go somewhere outside the city. The staff are friendly and helpful. We felt so welcome in this gracious old hotel.

Checked in on s Friday afternoon. Checked out on Monday. Beautiful room (447) in a beautiful hotel. A friendly and helpful staff - ALL OF THEM. Really! This really is a beautiful hotel and I recommend taking a few minutes to walk around and see it. The location made it easy to enjoy the nearby museums. Be sure to check them out too!

The Vinoy is a marvelous old hotel overlooking Tampa Bay just steps from the trendy main drag in St. Petersburg. The lobby has that old world feel about it. I found the staff friendly and attentive. The room was clean. They had comfortable bathrobes, a fully stocked minibar, safe ironing board, hair dryer and a 50" flatscreen TV. The bathroom had double sinks, a nice rainmaker shower head and refreshing rosemary mint bath products. The towels were not particularly soft and fluffy. Just avera... Read more

Very service oriented, which is to be expected with Marriott properties. Housekeeping staff (called "room stylists" here) left fresh towels and coffee outside door when "Privacy" tag on door. Excellent conference venue. Restaurants are excellent. My only concern was the additional charge for internet service, which seemed cheap for a nicer hotel, especially when being charged a resort fee every night.

Everything you would like for an elegant, high-quality stay is here. It is a place for romance and special occasions. You feel like you are in an art gallery walking in and around the property. The decor is modern and memorable. We particularly liked the small "studies" in the lobby where you should not miss the Chihuly exhibits. We found this Marriott to be soothing.

Just returned from a four day visit to this lovely resort hotel. The staff are simply wonderful, the atmosphere beautiful and the restaurants spectacular. A special shout out to Richard our "navigator" from the hotel restaurant Marchand's. He was extremely personable and gave us fantastic recommendations for our daily excursions.

Service was outstanding - housekeeping left a basket of fresh towels outside the door; Chihuly in the lobby and ballroom are beautiful; restaurant service and food was excellent; easy parking; spa/salon staff efficient; poolside eating quick and quality. Was there for business but wish I had stayed longer to enjoy for pleasure.

Faded but still beautiful and elegant, this is the grande dame of The Pier in Saint Petersburg. The lobby and common areas are lavish and extravagant, the pool is drenched in sunlight, and the main dining room serves delicious food. Service was impeccable almost without exception. Rooms could use an upgrade; certain areas (bathtub, carpet, upholstered furniture) were in need of repair or replacement. I was assigned a room that was on too low a floor and too near a common courtyard (Room 257)... Read more
