There was a cheerleading competition going on and the hotel was filled with screaming teen age girls. When we checked in, there were not bath towels available and the people at the front desk were rude. No towels every appeared for Saturday night or Sunday morning. Being industrious, we went to the pool looking for pool towels and they were all dirty. Sunday morning breakfast was a disaster, with nothing left in the chafing dishes by 9am. Overall a terrible weekend. Being a Marriott reward... Read more

I guess timing is everything based on the earlier reviewer's bad experience from a weekend stay. I arrived on Sunday afternoon and found the hotel quiet and spotless. Only confusion was the marque sign out front says St. Petersburg Marriott Pineallas Park and not Clearwater, but my GPS said I was in the right place. Although I generally left in the early morning and back late at night for the 4 days I was there, I did have a morning free one day and spent some of it by the pool. It is a small... Read more

My wife and I were staying at a boutique hotel in downtown St Petersburg. However, the tiny room and bathroom got to us after one day. We were booked for a week but after one day of living in a room the size of a large closet, we checked out early and I booked us into the Marriott. We arrived at the hotel at 9:00 a.m. and thought we would check in leave our luggage since the check in time was 3:00 p.m. However, the front desk person found a room for us right away. Our room was fantastic: cl... Read more

This is your standard hotel. The hot water went out while I was there with no communication or compensation for that inconvenience. It was fixed by the evening when I returned from the office. The buffet food is ok but if you order breakfast from the menu it's much better but prepared to wait a long time for it. I couldn't figure that one out because there wasn't a lot of people ordering from the menu. The local shuttle service is good and friendly driver.

Booked via Marriott for 115$ a night. Checked in after 1am from a late flight and was provided the option for either breakfast or points. Ended up using one breakfast and got points for second night . The room was nice with a king bed, LCD TV, nice clean bathroom with full toiletries, clean towels. The corridor and room entrance is odd, as each two rooms share an initial common door, then their own door, so this may be awkward for people with lots of luggage. The breakfast was quite good, wit... Read more

The king suite is very large 1 and 1/2 baths. With separate master suite, n large sleeping couch, large full kitchen. Able to join another suite creates private "Presidential" space for great price. Close to drive down town st Petersburg or to visit Tampa or beaches. we stayed to visit friends at the Vinoy for 1/2 price. If you need a room, restaurant, pool to call the "base" to drive or Uber/ Taxi. This place offers lots of "near everything" typically 10-20 minutes drive to everything Tampa, St... Read more

The St. Petersburg Marriott Clearwater is a very nice property. We've stayed there many times, as my wife is from St. Petersburg. It was top of the line, and with a little tweaking it can be again. The complimentary water is excellent with fruit flavors like pineapple/blueberry or strawberry/kiwi or strawberry/lime. First class staff and beautiful rooms. Our door handle needed fixing, as did the A/C vent which rattled all night. Other than that, this has become our "home away from home." ... Read more

The facilities were nice, and the room was clean. We were in town for a softball tournament at the Eddie C Moore complex, which was about a 12 minute drive and honestly didn't spend much time at the hotel. The room and linens were clean, the only complaint is the beds were too firm and not comfortable for us. One of the box springs squeaked every time my daughter moved in the bed, which was very annoying. We only stayed two nights so it was manageable. The staff was friendly on our few interacti... Felt like I was in the middle of nowhere (which made our stay more peaceful) but was actually close to everything. Odd layout in the hallways (double doors to enter every guest room) made it feel like I was on a train. Very quiet for sleeping and comfortable beds in spacious rooms. Overall staff service was very good however we did get up and leave the restaurant at breakfast after sitting for over 10 minutes waiting to place an order (they were obviously pushing the buffet which did not look ap... I've stayed at this location many times and it's always great. My most recent stay was pretty good. There were some minor cleanliness issues with the room and the front desk staff was not as friendly as the staff during my previous stays, but all in all my family and I enjoyed our stay. Great location and good value. We will defintely stay again.

Had a late flight into TPA and had a free night to use so I decided on this Marriott. It was perfect. The room was ready and check-in was a breeze. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bed felt like a dream. Bathroom and toiletries were spot on. Ordered room service for breakfast. It was fine but my orange juice was forgotten. So I felt for the price I paid I should have received the entire order. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel.

We were pleasantly surprised at this Marriott Hotel because of the location and its accessibility to the water front. The staff at the front desk were personable and very informative. The rooms were large and comfortably furnished. They provided a shuttle bus that took you anywhere downtown or to the waterfront and then picked you up. You did not need your car. Parking at the hotel was free. I giggly recommend the Marriott for tireless to this area.

The people and service were tremendous from start to finish in every aspect of the property. Check-in was extraordinarily easy and fast, and room service and bar and concierge-lounge staff were awesome. The gym was large for a full-service Marriott. But the concierge lounge and the pool were small. The pool was one you would expect at a Fairfield, not a full-service property. Regardless of that, we would return in a heartbeat.

If you want to have fun in St Pete I will recommended choose other property. This hotel looks it's only for business.. it's nothing around and all the attractions are far away. The pool looks like a less hotel category.. if you are hungry in the night ..all are closed..no restaurant ..so you have to drive out or order outside pizza...Room Service it's not 24 hours as usually other Marriott's hotels. Marcella from the front desk needs to be fired or be placed in a job that does not require human contact. Aside from mean Marcella, the staff was friendly and helpful. This hotel is a real jewel. I'm serious. I would go out of my way to stay here again. As a Gold member of Marriott, I travel a good bit and this will now be one of my favorite places. The rooms are fresh, very well appointed, and unique in that they have a separate set of doors for access to the rooms, that really keeps your room exceptionally quiet (there is a separate door to access the two rooms in a suite). The restaurant to the left of the lobby is also nice with friendly service, a solid beer selection and tasty food. I got upgraded to a suite, which was awesome and way more than enough space. My family and I were in town for a weekend of Rays baseball games. All of the hotels in Treasuer Island and downtown St. Petersburg had no vacancy, so we had to stay a little further from the stadium. The hotel is about 20 min from the stadium which is still convenient. We booked our room online the same day as out stay and checked on at 10 PM after the game. The front desk was very friendly and room was more than we expected. The room smelled and looked clean!

Stayed here for a week for work and family trip. Staff was nice and the room was clean, but the bathroom was small and the room was showing it's age. Restaurant had decent food and really good service. The morning attendant in the executive lounge was great, super polite and helpful. The parking at this location was a major let down. There aren't enough spots when the hotel is full and the layout is inconvenient because of the limited entrances.
