I recently came in town to participate in a triathlon and brought the family as well. The staff was very professional & courtesy, the rooms were very clean and quiet, and the location is great for rest and going out to dine. I must say it was much more than what I expected and I look forward to coming back soon! By the way... i guess the great night's sleep I got the night before really helped me to do very well in the race. Thank you and see you next time!

Stayed for 3 nights at this hotel. First the good: friendly, helpful staff including the shuttle drivers and housekeeping. very convenient shuttle service at your call until 11:00 pm. and very reliable, especially Marco. Now the not so good: You can only do so much with a very old hotel and it needs updating on so many levels. The elevators(2) are super slow, super hot inside, and very small. Lobby is just very basic, not inviting and certainly no pizazz. Our room was on the seventh fl... Read more

I stayed at the Courtyard Marriott for five nights while in town for a business trip. It was extremely comfortable and I found my room very spacious (one King bed). Pros: - Very friendly front-desk staff - Great common space, especially in the Bistro restaurant - Wifi worked well - Excellent room Cons - Small fitness center (only two treadmills so you might need to wait) - Bistro staff was hit or miss. Some were fantastic, some were very short with me. - The AC vent in the room blows right a... Read more

This is the 2nd time I have stayed here. The hotel is a remodeled hotel. It used to be Hotel Pennsylvania. I had packages shipped to the hotel and they were waiting in the room. The front desk told me that they were received on check in. The 2nd round of packages were treated the same. I was greater by name when I came and went. The hotel is in walking distance to restaurants, museums and breweries. Great staff and location.

This is an older, historic property. Part of the hotel is a historic building and part is new construction. My room was in the older part. Room shape was a little odd, but newly refurbished and comfortable. I had a nice view of the Ocean. Free shuttle to take you to restaurants and other local attraction. I would not hesitate to stay hear again.

Im rarely impressed with hotels, I managed one and have traveled a lot. But this hotel is great, the staff is just really friendly and helpful. Ilove the bistro downstairs, no need to walk to eat, we had 6 different menu Iitems and found evetything fresh and cook perfectly. The room was perfect, no issues. I am used to a secondary sink, but that doesnt matter. Sonewhat slow elevators, but again no big deal, very good valet service. The pool is nothing to get excited about, but it was clean with ... I had made reservations at this hotel back in February requesting (and also this is in our profile) a double room NOT near an elevator or ice machine. So when we stepped out of the elevator, there was our room directly across the hallway from the elevator. Then when we walked in, we noticed we had a king size bed. I directly went down to talk to the front desk and asked to be moved to a room that fit our requests. I was told they were totally booked--since February? and could move us to anot... Read more

I stayed at the Courtyard St. Petersburg Downtown for three nights because of its close proximity to a conference I attended at the Palladium Theater. I had mixed feelings about my experience. The hotel was quite small. The first thing I noticed when I stepped off the elevator was the musty smell, both in the hallways and in my room. However, the hotel staff must have been aware of this issue, because on the second day there was a notice on my door that the carpet in my room had just been cleane... Read more

I spent a night at the Courtyard and discovered the place thanks to a friend from Tampa. It is close to the bay front and tourist spots including Bay Shore, Beach Drive a lovely street with nice restaurants and rooftop bars. Also not too far from Central Avenue to enjoy street art. The hotel is modern, comfortable and perfectly clean as well as the room. The staff is friendly and guest oriented. i was here away from my family on business for over two weeks. the staff was absolutely awesome. they made my stay comfortable and made me feel like i was the most important customer there. the shuttle to local eateries and shops was very helpful. When coming back in the evenings they would welcome me by name which i thought was a special touch. if in downtown St petersburg florida i would recommend the stay. The only suggestion i have is a possible upgrade to the pool area.

We stayed here for St. Pete Pride. We liked that the hotel was within walking distance of the downtown waterfront district. The room was very nice but we did have some trouble with getting our key to work in the door even after getting it re-programmed but we got the hang of it. The staff that we encountered were friendly. If you don't want to pay for valet parking there is a parking garage across the street that charges $10/day.

I am physically challenged and my room was Fantastic. The room was large enough for me to move around in my mobility scooter. I enjoyed the pool and Hot tub and the hotel staff was kind and helpful. I will definitely return to this hotel.

This hotel was great for a quick business trip. It's in an older building downtown but they've done a great job of renovating. My room was very clean, new looking. The king size bed was comfortable. Elevator is a bit slow in this building but it's old so what can you expect. I would definitely recommend this place to other travelers coming to St. Petersburg.

We stayed here on a little family trip while visiting an aunt, the place was actually pretty nice, it was renovated recently so nothing old, the rooms were good, spacious, the bathroom also nice, the beds were pretty comfy. My only con is the cleaning, everything was apparently clean but they didn't change the sheets on our beds, they didn't even bother to clean them up slightly.

Loved the look and feel of this very update older building, built in 1924. The Marriott corp did a magnificent refurbish of this establishment. Very beautiful, rooms are very pleasant and comfortable. Staff was delightful, friendly, courteous, knowledgeable. Would recommend this hotel to all of our friends. The location is within walking distance of a lot of shops, eating and drinking establishments, and museums and other entertainment venues.

This hotel is extremely clean and well-maintained , it does have a cafe area where you can get drinks and food I think it's reasonable hours. it has a pool and a hot tub and is centrally located to the top of downtown Saint Petersburg, and having a nice hotel and things to do around the area is great, but nothing compares to the people that work there. in particular my family was treated extraordinary well bye Miss Tiffany Morris at the front desk and the shuttle driver Marco. Stayed here recently - stayed in the original hotel built in 1925. Other than a problem with the plumbing - fixed in one morning while I was away - no issues. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. I thought the valet was expensive - and sometimes they park in a lot 3 blocks away - little timing issue there. Room was clean and air conditioning worked hard but was OK. Bed was comfortable and the four pillows were of varying softness. Plenty of hot water. Note that the hair dryer is hi... Read more

We stayed 1 night as a mini getaway and to attend a friend's party at the nearby HofbrÀuhaus (4 blocks away) We loved our room, the decor was really chic, comfy bed and our quiet 5th floor room faced west, away from any street noise. Our room was very clean We loved the pool and spa. The piped in music was really nice, the pool was warm, the hot tub squeaky clean & hot. Perfect. We had a last minute, overnight trip to St. Pete and we decided to stay at this hoetl. It was charming and clean. The room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. The only down side was the parking. We got in late and found a spot on the street behind. The next morning, it was pouring and my husband had to run to get the car. They don't have a safe, dry place to load and unload your car, if it is raining.

Stayed here for 1 night in town to meet friends. Very convenient spot to downtown activities. Uber ride was 5 bucks to central Ave strip. Hotel recently updated , bathroom and decor were nice and fresh. Fridge in room was a plus. Jazz playing in lobby with a vintage yet modern vibe. Overall great stay, would come back.

First the positives: good location, decent size rooms, got a good rate. Negatives: average cleanliness, HOT in hotel common areas and not much cooler in rooms even though there is a thermostat. Hotel staff is ok, not the best and not the worst. Worst aspect is the mandatory valet parking. It makes every time you have to drive a major hassle. And the valets are not super friendly.

First let me say that my wife and I are Marriot members. But, that doesn't jade this review. We chose this property due to its proximity to downtown St. Pete, 4 blocks easy walking distance to Beach Dr and all the restaurants it has to offer! The property is amazing, half of it in the old Pennsylvania Hotel (remodeled) and half in a new addition. Both times we have stayed there we were in the "new" side. The lobby is in the "old" side with that historical feel. Everyone was extremely friendly ... Read more

An outstanding hotel to stay in St.Petersburg. Downtown, close to restaurants, bars shops. Even easier they have a Van that will take you anywhere within 2 miles. It operates till 1145pm. Tiffany at the desk and the entire staff made us feel so welcome. Great room in an old updated hotel, Valet Parking was very easy and the Valets where great. Parking is an additional $14.00 a night but worth the price. When we come back we will definitely stay here.

This hotel is a mix of the old and the new. When you walk in the lobby, you can see the original flooring and staircase, but there was an additional wing added at some point when you go to the room floors. When you first step off the elevator the hallway has an old feel to it with plaster look walls and door jams from an earlier time. If your room has a higher number, you'll pass through to more modern walls. But all the rooms have been redone, and are really nice and modern. And set up ver... Read more

I was in St. Petersburg for business and stayed for two nights at the Courtyard. It was exceedingly pleasant. True, next door is a building full of questionable occupants. But the staff was very friendly, the breakfast was fantastic, and it wasn't far from restaurants and the waterfront. The hotel has a shuttle to bring you to nearby locations. It's lacking an in-room laptop safe, though, but that wasn't a deal-breaker. The fitness center was small (basically a couple of cardio machines and a co... Read more

One can always count on Marriott to take care of you. We stayed for just one night in October and were extremely impressed with this quaint hotel. The lobby area is clean and they maintain a bucket of waters on ice for stepping out into the warm weather. The staff were extremely friendly and greeted us coming and going. We stayed here for Ribfest and we really enjoyed our stay. The beds were nice and we both slept well. The shower was good too. I really felt that this should have been included in the hotel price since there was no onsite parking available. Otherwise a pleasant stay.
