"We just returned from Shoreline Island Resort after staying 7/29/12 - 8/3/12. We travel to the Madeira Beach / Treasure Island / St. Pete Beach area at least once a year and this hotel was certainly one of the best resorts we have stayed at and will definitely return. The room was newly redone and had a nice large glass-top table. The staff was very accomodating and friendly. The screened in balcony was nice, but also hurt your eyes if you were sitting outside and looking at the beach. Speaking of the beach, the hotels in this area are right on top of the water unlike most hotels to the South at St. Pete Beach or to the North in Clearwater so it is a short walk to the Gulf. If I had to find a complaint, there is only one ice machine and it sucked. I don't know if it was on a timer or just wasn't working right, but I tried getting ice all times of day and night, and could never get more than one ice bucket full, even if I waited 2 or 3 minutes and tried again. I didn't try the breakfast, but my parents went down a couple times and said it wasn't fancy, but there were a few different things to choose from. My experience is that no other hotels in the area have offered anything for breakfast, so anything they offer is a bonus. I would definitely recommend staying here."

"The staff at Shoreline Island Resort is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is older but clean and waking up to a view of the Gulf was amazing. The pool was refreshing and quiet. Johns Pass is a short walk away for shopping too. We will definitely be coming back."

"We recently stayed here for five days on our first trip to the gulf coast. The adults only status had a lot to do with my choice, and it was well worth it. There were no kids in the pool or yelling in the hallways, no partying teenagers. In fact, it was probably the quietest beach stay we've ever had. The beach is practically under your balcony, and man...the sunsets were spectacular. We booked the king ocean front and we both loved it. The screened-in balcony was nice; it gave you a little privacy. The bed was super comfortable and the bath was roomy. Housekeeping was first rate. Some might be bothered by the age of the facility, but there's no need. Our bath looked recently remodeled and the carpet looked fairly new. If we get back to Madeira Beach in the future, we will definitely stay here again."

"Short, cold and a month ago. Would like to be back at the Shoreline Resort right now.
Everything at the resort was in place to provide an excellent experience. Really have nothing negative to say. The resort location provided a great base to see lots of area attractions."
