Great stay. Beds comfy! Updated rooms with mini fridge, microwave, plates, glasses, and utensils. We LOVED the thick cushioned lounge chairs right on the beach with adjustable shades. Our daughter enjoyed the water slide and paddle boats. Our favorite activity was s'mores around the campfire at the Guy Harvey location while watching the sunset. I had limited mobility due to my hip. They even had a beach buggy wheelchair made of PVC pipe. I was able to check it out from time to time. My husb... Read more

My husband found this place online by chance and we decided to book for a3 day trip while visiting friends in the area. Upon checkin we were greeted and treated very nicely by everyone we came in contact with. Our room had a great Oceanview, with lots to do. The kitchenette was perfect for what we needed! I live the cabana service and the ability to reserve them online. No more waking up super early to try to get a good seat. The slide was so much fun! I'm pretty sure my daughter could... Read more

Paddle boats, yoga, great fitness center, fire pit, trampoline, ping pong etc. At the beach there are covered chairs, towels, giant blow up water slides. they also offer paddle boards, jet skis and para sailing. Many food venues to choose from. No need to leave the property. Down side was our room, although clean,... Read more

Shirley for making our transportation arrangements and Thomas for being a great driver and travel guide. Dominic was the best bellman ever! We met a lot of people that Clyde works with. I summarize this place like a campground meets resort. We stayed at TradeWinds Island Grand the first week of June 2016 in room 1504. This room is on the main floor and directly next to the pool and the elevator (no issues). The location did expose us to more noise, but we were informed of the possibility of greater noise in this location. It wasn't that bad. This place is like Forrest Gump's box of chocolates.. you never know what you are going to get. One family would look perfectly no... Read more

This is an overall very good destination for families. Though the property is showing signs of aging, it is very well maintained. However, the employees are exceptional. In particular, "Terry" and "Alpha" went above and beyond to turn a challenge upon check-in (AC was not working in our two-bedroom suite), into a great ending! It was my daughter's birthday weekend and the two of them were generous in giving her free ice cream coupons and complimentary dinners for our family of four! Terry a... Read more

We spent a wonderful weekend at Trade winds! The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms super clean with comfy beds, and the amenities were awesome! Our son loved the huge slide and putt putt golf. The beach has the beautiful powder sand and emerald water the Gulf Coast is known for. We loved the fact that the Bermuda and Beef O Brady's restaurants were so good we didn't have to drive anywhere. Will definitely be back!

This is a nice location but the downside is it was an expensive hotel and no sea view you get a room which is located near to the road with noisy traffic staff are nice but beware of the surcharges on everything. The views may be of the patio but not that great for a beach hotel. We were charged a daily rate for the parking and when we complained we were given a fruit basket which was not that great as we would have preferred to have our money back. Once we found out that we could get our favorite ice cream (orange-pineapple) here we made it a nitely ritual. Lilly F. was so helpful. We came close to closing (about 9:55 pm or so) and the gate was already up and said they just closed. She noticed how disappointed we looked that she opened it back up for us so we could get our ice cream! When we tried to pay her she, "there's no charge, it's on me". We thanked her and we were on our way back to our room with smiles on our face!

Just finishing a family vacation at Tradewinds Island Grand Beach Resort. Great beach location with lots of activities for the kids. The hotel needs a facelift and the clientele was a little rowdy for our liking. The daily DJ raw party at the family pool didn't help. This is my second year treating my wife to a Mother's Day weekend at the Tradewinds and it is now a family tradition. We stayed at the Guy Harvey Outpost because the room suited our family of 5 perfectly. Traveling with a 3 little ones isn't always easy but Marco and the housekeeping staff made sure the rooms and amenities were always clean and with plenty of available towels. Clean, comfortable rooms removed the stress my wife usually has to deal with as a working mom. See you next year!

Awesome place - fantastic for families, events, or a romantic weekend away! The resort has done a fantastic job with recent renovations. There are plenty of dining options, both casual and upscale. If you want to explore the rest of the area, the location is perfect. There are several outstanding eateries within walking distance. If you are travelling with children, I would suggest booking one of the two bedroom suites. They have a full kitchen and a living area to hangout in.
