13 family members from the north spent 3 fabulous days at Guy Harvey. The staff couldn't have been more friendly, warm or accomodating. The rooms spacious & very clean. The beach a paradise. Couldn't have been happier. We all would highly recommend this resort

We had a great time at the Guy Harvey Outpost. The room was clean and comfy, we had a larger room with an attached single room. The kitchen was nice and the fridge was plenty big. The balcony had a great view, however if you have small kids pay attention, the bars on the railing seemed a little far apart. The pool was nice and the availability of pool towels was helpful. Their is an "Adult only" pool, however the bar is next to the "Family" pool. Not sure how to remedy this, it just seemed odd. ... Read more

My mom, sister and I booked a girls weekend at St.Pete's Beach and did so using another resort. When we checked in, we were extremely disappointed, and decided the following morning to switch hotels. I called Guy Harvey Outpost at 7:00am and spoke with April at the front desk. Not only was she extremely kind and understanding, she gave us a beautiful room, and held it for us while we checked out of our other resort. She was patient and very courteous! We have stayed here 3 times in the past, before it was re-named. The rooms appear to be the same, the outside area by the family pool seems to be the area that had the most up-grading It is beautiful the fire pits and couches are very comfortable. The staff is always very welcoming, friendly and willing to help. The restaurant by the pool has good food (a little pricey). The beach bar charges $10 for a small cocktail which seems really high to me! Our room had a stove top, microwave and refr... Read more

My husband and I stayed here for our 10th anniversary and it was an amazing trip. Our room was great with a view of the beach and a balcony. We loved our cabana and the staff was the most friendly and helpful we have seen in a long time. If we would have brought our kids they would have been in heaven with all the things to do. The pools get a bit crowded but the adult pools were great and quiet. It would be nice to have one of the fire pit tables or hammocks near the adult pool since we didn't ... Read more

We are a family of four. Planned to stay here 4 nights. Booked Standard Room with 2 beds. Extremely tiny rooms, can't even turn around, forget it if you have luggage. Advertised as free wi-fi, in our room we had 1 bar if any at all and I swear it was as slow as dial-up. Barely warm water in the shower. One elevator working to get us to the 6th floor. Checked out after one night and went to another resort.

It was a good experience. The staff was very nice, from the gentle man who helped get our luggage to the gentleman getting our cabana on the beach. Everyone was so friendly and very professional. They all seemed very eager to accommodate us. The rooms were nice and very clean. The pools were very well kept, The hotel was well staffed, every one was helping even when they were busy working they were eager to help us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The housekeeper for our room was Mary Spiller. I can't say enough about her!! She was the best I have ever had. Went out of her way to be helpful & was articulate & interesting. Please give her my top rating. I was at the Resort with my daughter who was there for business. I enjoyed the beach and food by myself & was perfectly comfortable & felt very welcomed by the employees.

There were many activities for the children to enjoy while staying here. However, the huge blow up slide that the kids were looking forward to using was down for two days of our stay. Rooms were adequate, but could use some updating. Vents in the bathroom would be helpful.

I Liked the resort overall. The staff was awesome. The bellhops were very nice. I liked the beach accesses, cabanas, and loved the giant waterslide. I recommend the Rumfish grill. Melissa M was our server and did an outstanding job. She was very accomdating and informational. The worse things were the paddle boats and the elevators. The Elevators were slow. My grandkids had a great time in the pools and and we liked the games the staff put on there.

The hotel was just an OK place, First when we got there, there was no place to park your car, They have one spot per room and people took advantage and brought multiple cars, Then we went to check in it was 2:15 when we got there and we still had to wait almost 2 hours before we got to our room. When we got the room and saw it I was shocked by the size. I do wish the suites had balconies, but I knew when I booked the room it just had a sliding glass door. I ended up at the Guy Harvey Resort when its sister resort, Trade Winds, overbooked their hotel. The move was a nice upgrade to a suite at Guy Harvey. The room was large, nice view of the ocean, beach and pool and was clean and neat. The staff at Guy Harvey was fantastic, courteous, professional and accommodating. My wonderful experience started upon checking in with Lisa (her last name not known). She was very personable, professional and she made a real effort to make a connection with guests.

I booked this hotel directly with a TradeWinds associate over the phone. I wasn't sure what type of room would be good for our needs, and she directed me to the Guy Harvey Outpost. This is a great property right on St. Pete Beach. We had a room right off the 'adult' pool (there is also a family-friendly pool) and the hot tub. Dinner at Rumfish was good. Love the fish tanks. Went over one morning for the Touch Tank for the kids. Wow, don't bother. Rude people, overcrowded gift shop where the Touch Tank was and zero attempt by employees to make sure the kids got to see. The girl leading the Touch Tank experience had ZERO idea of what she was talking about. When she told the group that a sea urchin was a sea anemone, my kids walked out. The Outpost was like a low class version of the Tradewinds.

We absolutely loved this place & will go back! Thanks Captain Tim & Staff for being so wonderful & helpful! The only reason I gave 4 stars!: One disappointing piece of info was that could be a digruntled employee but since everyone was so helpful & had smiles on their faces, glass door employer site rated very low for employee satisfaction. Not in pay but in fear of losing jobs constantly. As much as I loved it, it could be a deal breaker later on.
