"Stayed for 3 nights and thought the hotel was alittle old. The gym was horrible nothing like the pictures you see (hardly any of the machines work). Renting a beach chair is $20.00 (no discount for hotel guests) and worst of all a cockroach was seen coming out of the bathroom ceiling. Had to take everything out of my luggage and shake it. Did not give us other room , only a $30 voucher to use at the restaurant in the hotel."

"The Hotel was very nice. Customer Service was wonderful. VERY CLEAN. We had a great experience with Grand Plaza Beachfront Resort.
The building from the outside looks a little old but on the inside is very nice and they mantain it very well.
We ate at Bongos and the waitress was a little careless, we did not like the service too much. The food was ok.
We were not happy that the beach was very dirty, they should clean it some how.
I would recomend this hotel to my friends."

"The hotel is very well kept. It is quite clean. The staff is very nice and willing to help. The Bongo's Beach Bar on location is an added bonus as it has great food at a reasonable price and stays open late. You can eat there in your bathing suit, which is really a plus. The negatives of the hotel are that the pool is very small and usually very crowded. There are a lot of lounges around the pool, but they are taken quite early in the morning. The lounges that you see on the beach in the resort pictures are actually rentals at $20.00 per day (not exactly cheap). If you can't get a spot by the pool, you either lay on the sand or you rent a cabana. The rooms are quite spacious. Unfortunatley, there are about 12 of them that face the 'City/Bay View' that are actually behind the outdoor elevator to the upstairs restaurant. What this equates to is 1/2 of the patio taken up by a wall. You cannot sit on the patio as what is left is either behind the wall or in front of the air conditioner which blows hot air. We tried to move but were told they were completely booked due to the numerous weddings. I would stay at the hotel again only this time bring my own umbrellas/lounges and book an Ocean View room. "

"This hotel is really OLD! It is also very loud. There is a band that plays every night until 11 and the housekeepers start at 8a.m. The ONLY good part was the beautiful beach."

"Our room was very clean. The bed was comfty and sheets were great. We were excited about our stay. We were disappointed by how dirty the beach was and how small the swimming pool was for how many guests they have. We decided to have lunch upstairs on the spinning resturant. Big mistake! The waitress was the rudest one we have ever had. The food was very dry and not worth the money. My husband ordered buffalo wings and they came with barley any sauce on them so we had to order more, come to find out their kitchen is on the first floor so we had to wait about 15 minutes just for some buffalo sauce! Our waitress never came to see how we were doing, my husband had to get up three times from the table just to get service and to even ask for the check. Later we decided to go to bongos to have a couple of drinks. Another mistake! $7 for an alcoholic drink, that had no alcohol! I was watching the bartender make the drinks and she put a little rum through the straw as if that was going to trick everyone that they have a lot of alcohol in their drink. This place just seemed to be cheap for what we paid and didn't seem to care about the guests. The only friendly employee we met was one of the check-in clerks, he was great. The room also has little signs saying things like 'save the earth, tons of water is being wasted by cleaning towels that have only been used once. please help us conserve and place the towels on the floor if you need them washed, and on the rack if you dont' This seems like a nice gesture at first, but with the way they are cheap about everything it just seems as if they are trying to save themselves from high water and energy bills. There are two elevators for this whole building so it takes forever if you don't use the stairs. I would not recommend this hotel to any of my friends or family. We had to drive to Madiera Beach to enjoy a cleaner beach."

"My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. Check-in and out was extremely easy. We did not have to wait more than three min in line. The breakfast buffet was really good and the price was not bad for hotel food prices. We also ate at the spinning roof top and the prices at lunch were reasonable. I was impressed by the food, most hotel food is overpriced and taste horrible. All the food at this hotel was great!
The rooms are nice and clean. The serves was really great, I did not have to wait long for anything I asked for, more shampoo, towels, etc.
Our neighbors got into a huge flight the last night, I called security and they were there in a few min and handled the situation very well.
Was very pleased with this resort and would stay again. I love the location to the stores!

"Nice Place. The rooms were nicer than the exterior, and the hotel is well fixed with amenities as can be expected of a 3.5 star hotel..
The elevators are a bit frustrating, and parking during july 4th weekend was not fun. Bongos, the beach bar, has good frozen drinks, and lunch selection.
My wife liked the balcony, with beach view, and sunsets are great from just about anywhere.
Overall a thumbs up. Hotel could use a little exterior update, but dont let that fool you. Good value here.

"The hotel is dated but on and all great location right on the beach. WE were on the 9th foor with a view of the gulf and Bay belconey had two chairs and table. The Tv was only able to view from the bed which was not convenient for daytime watching.the coffee pot was only four cups so when two people like two or three cups when arising not good. Best thing about the room is laying in bed at night the view was a fantastic one ,and in the morning seeing the sunrise on the belconey was great also the piece of the Gulf view perfect. Would stay again but not at full rates."

"Having just returned from our stay we overall found the hotel to be a fine place to vacation. The location could not have been better with an outstanding view of the Gulf of Mexico and Bongo's food and drinks were delicious. Most of the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. However, the disappointing parts were the fact that the elevator was extremely SLOW and the hotel most definitely needed more employees manning the front desk. The wait at the desk was way too long as they were understaffed and that happened each day we stayed. But after all of that being said, my family and I would return to this hotel."

"Recenlty, we stayed at this location for 11 nights. The room was excellent, very clean, and the staff extremely friendly. I used the fitness room each day, although the upright bicycle did not work properly. It need repairing.

The pool area could be larger, but we enjoyed the outdooring restaruant and the beach.

Also, I liked the idea of having two computers for guests to use.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay."
