While it's a bit of a walk to the downtown area (10 minutes), this hotel had some nice perks like free parking, nice rooms and an excellent staff. The breakfast buffet (we paid $5/person when we booked through Hilton's website), was delicious and had lots of options (including made-to-order omelettes and fresh fruit/berries). The breakfast staff was awesome - super attentive and friendly. The fruit-infused water near the front desk was a nice touch, as were the animals in towel shapes left o... Read more

This hotel is fabulous with excellent staff who are friendly & helpful. The rooms are nice & spacious (a balcony when building would have been nice), very clean & comfortable. Breakfast is super with lots of choice, fresh fruit & the service is very good. The pool area is decent & very clean with beds & umbrellas. The hotel is walkable to several eateries but also has its own bar with an adequate choice of food that was enjoyable & reasonably priced for inside a hotel. It is nicely situated in t... Read more

Clean rooms, ready when promised, fresh warm cookies at check in, very comfortable bed, free parking, crystal clean pool and abundant towels. The whole experience was great. Turn down service offered with new towels. Lots of power receptacles to charge all of our devices. Relatively quiet and efficient room AC units. Recycle trash can combo's in the room. This Doubletree was a wonderful place. The staff was amazing, food was very good (though a bit high, which is not unusual in an in-house hotel restaurant), & accommodations were stellar! I felt positive about this hotel prior to arrival after calling the day before and speaking with Tia / Front Desk Representative. This is a bit off the downtown bustle, but there is free parking and if you are going to do the tourist tram it stops here. The staff was nice enough, although I booked through a 2nd party and I didn't get my HH points or breakfast vouchers. If you like local coffee shops, there is a great one that is one block away--good coffee, breakfast sandwiches and games to play while we ate. Standard Hilton experience--clean room, cookie, wifi.

Being a Hilton Honors member I usually stay at Hilton Branded Hotels but have usually not been overly impressed with the DoubleTree brand. This hotel was an exception. Not only was it clean and modern looking, but the service was superb. Superb breakfast offering. Hotel is a short walk (1/2 mile) walk to historic downtown St. Augustine. The only downside is that the hotel is in somewhat of a commercial area and there really isn't much of a view from any of the rooms.

Not directly within the historical area, but close, and somewhat convenient. I have stayed at Hilton properties, and this one is depressing in decor, and not up to standards, in my opinion. Staff is helpful, polite, but personal appearances, could use some sprucing up. Adequate, but not a first choice.

Stayed here on a Monday night. The front desk employees were very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean, and the bathroom was the cleanest hotel bathroom I've ever seen. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The only problem was the noise levels. We could hear the upstairs people walking around, and the next door neighbors on both sides talking and/or using the bathrooms. Will definitely stay here again.

Excellent location within walking distance of the attractions and super restaurants. Accommodations were clean and fresh and the staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We stayed here for Thanksgiving (3nights) for the past two years and will likely be here for 2017.

Nice, comfortable stay and location on your visit to St. Augustine. All of the sights we wanted to see were in walking distance which made it nice for parking. The young man at the front desk was friendly and we felt at ease staying there on our first but not last trip to St. Augustine.

We only stayed here overnight, but had a very comfortable stay. The room was a little small but it was well designed to make use of the small space with nice amenities and adequate storage space. Location is in walking distance of most activities. We did have dinner in hotel restaurant which was very good for hotel food. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is a great place to stay when you are traveling to St. Augustine. It was the perfect location to where my appointments were located while working in the area and for walking to places to eat and see when not working. Staff was very friendly, clean and attractive hotel lobby, and room was comfortable and clean. I will definitely stay here again on future trips to St. Augustine
