We were greeted warmly by the front desk. Hotel is lovely with its modern touch. Staff were all friendly. Rooms were tastefully decorated, breakfast was very good. HIE is in a great location in St. Augustine. Hope to be back later this year.

Clean & comfortable! The room was big -beds were comfortable and the price was reasonable! 15 minute walk to downtown and the staff were very friendly and Courteous! The lobby is updated and offers a restaurant and bar - our daily housekeepers were so nice! We loves this Hotel and plan to be back soon!

Stayed here in April 2016, I originally thought that the walk to the main area of the old city wouldn't be bad... and it wasn't, until we walked it for a second time. I'd rather stay closer to the main area. The price was too high to be that far away. The room was okay, but the bathtub that was in the room next to the bed looked bigger in the picture than it actually was. I thought there was room for two, but it turns out there is barely enough room for one.

My wife and I want everyone to know the George is a terrific ambassador for Holiday Inn and St. Augustine. Angie asked for a map and had some questions. George gave a superb run down on the Trolley map and interesting options along with way. We felt very at home.

At check in we were welcomed as spire elite members and given a virtual tour of the area with a personalized map. As George was explaining available amenities, places to go and options for local travel, the lobby was invaded by at least 50 children in town for a Ripley's tour. He handled the sudden chaos like a pro - both acknowledging the chaperones arrival and making me and my husband feel like dignitaries.

The room was very nice, beds comfortable and the building much nicer than expected. We would give a 5 but the breakfast was less than desirable for the $13.95 charged. Additionally, children are only free with a paying adult, and my daughter only wanted a banana and we were told we would have to pay a la carter prices. The housekeeping staff were helpful - we accidentally left our laptop in the room at check out and the room attendant turned it in and we were contacted by the general manager... Read more

There were a lot of choices for hotels but I wanted something close to the history area but in a main hotel chain. This hotel is only a few miles from the historic area. I did a 10k run from the hotel to the fort, historic district, over the bridge to the island and back. Very nice hotel with nice rooms. The beds were comfy and clean. Lots of pillows and they even had special wipes for the remote and phone! They have a small gym and nice pool with hot tub. They had free parking and wifi but ... Read more

We spent a day in Saint Augustine on our travels through Florida. This hotel was nice and clean and had a decent pool. The location was quite a ways from the any beach so if your wanting ocean front, this isn't for you. The drive was not too far away from the St. Augustine Beach which was nice but very crowded as expected. We saw many of the tourist attractions before checking in which I recommend. We found parking that was across from the Pirate Museum which was a couple bucks for an hour... Read more

We stayed at this Hotel for 8 nights and 9 days for my son's 11th birthday. It was in a great location for all the places we wanted to visit. We were able to walk to most of the attractions, which was nice. We did not have to worry about trying to find a parking spot or pay for a parking spot. After 5pm, the parking meters are free if you are lucky enough to find one available! The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. We even felt safe inside during Tropical Storm Colin.

My sisters, grandson, cousins and I all stayed here for 3 days during a recent visit and were very pleased with the location, personnel and rooms. The only disappointment was the Cafe and we only went there for one meal--breakfast. If you don't order the buffet, it took way too long to place the order and then get your food (think it was over an hour for our group of 6). It's a nice place for the price. Our first room was moldy with a broken ac unit, but we were given a better room quickly. The rooms are not perfectly maintained and cleaned but are pretty good.
