we had just left the Beachfront Bed and Breakfast after having a bad experience there and upon registering I asked for a Military discount and not only did I receive that but I also received a discount because I am 100 % Disabled Veteran. The Beachfront DID NOT GIVE me any king of a discount.. We would stay there again when we come into town. The room was big and spacious and clean.

I had ocean view with a balcony. The front desk staff were fantastic. Beverly and Maryann were extremely helpful. The room was fine and will be nicer since the hotel is under renovations and will be all new when done. I will be going back soon.

Had a wonderful time..the building was under construction but that don't stop my husband and I from visiting. The beach is beautiful and the staff was great. We try to visit once a month for a getaway from work. People complain about this hotel but that's their opinions. My opinion is that my husband and I love this place and will keep continuing to visit. Cannot wait to see when its finally finished with the remodel. I did notice that the price went up a bit from the last time we had a visit. A... Read more

Very nice staff, I asked for a king instead of the 2 queens I booked and they gave it to me. Bed was super comfy. Room was very large with a nice chair with ottoman. Room and bathroom looked to have been recently redone. We did not hear any construction noise, of course we were there on a Saturday night though. We didn't try out the pool, although it looked very clean and inviting! Will stay here again! We stayed in room 212

Really nice family hotel - very clean, friendly - beds were really comfortable - they are upgrading on the south side of hotel so ask for north side room. It's not a 5 star hotel with all the luxury - accepts pets, kid friendly and prices are not 5 star either. Has nice, clean pool and bridge over the dunes to beach. Very accommodating !!!!

The reviews for this hotel almost made us cancel our reservation, but I'm so glad we didn't. We arrived way earlier than we were suppose to after a 14 hour drive and the staff let us check in at 8 am. The room had an awesome view (even for just "partial view") and we had a balcony. The room was clean and all the staff were exceptionally friendly and always helpful - even maintenance. A lot of reviews complain of a musty smell, but it's impossible to be right on the beach and a building not smell... Read more

The people who work at any hotel, regardless how nice the actual hotel is, can make or break an experience. In this case, specifically Greer, went FAR beyond what I'd normally expect. This young woman is surely to be commended for providing some of the best customer service I've ever received. How proud the Holiday Isle must be of this enthusiastic, polite, and fantastic young woman! I will absolutely return and would recommend this hotel to anyone!

The hotel is undergoing a renovation. The staff was more then friendly and worked hard to ensure any construction did not bother our stay. The swimming pool, tiki bar and beach location is perfect to unwind and enjoy life. Chelsea the bartender at the tiki bar went over the top to ensure our experience was enjoyable and we felt as if we were at a 5 star resort due to her service.

We just had the pleasure of staying at this diamond in the rough while waiting to move into our new home in Saint Augustine. This is a classic example of PEOPLE MAKE THE DIFFERENCE! EVERYONE that we encountered was awesome! ...From first phone contact with Greer at the front desk to Destin the manager who went way out of his way to accommodate us, to the great housekeeping staff... Yes this hotel is in the process of renovation and there are small issues, that are improving daily. I can't... Read more

My husband and I just wanted a weekend getaway by the ocean, the Holiday Isle was perfect for us. The staff were all amazing and friendly. The oceanfront room was a little dated, but the view can't be beat! The balcony was nice, it's closed in so it feels private. The resort is near lots of restaurants, unfortunately for us the Tiki Bar was closed during our visit. I hope we get to return and give it a try.

The reviews on Trip Advisor made this look like a great choice for our weekend away. The hotel is under renovations, which is not a big deal to us. Sometimes you get a good price when a hotel has some "inconveniences." We had a room overlooking the pool and beach. The lobby is a separate bldg. from the rooms, so you must go outside to get from lobby to the rooms' bldg. The lobby is nice and cool, the rooms' bldg., no so much. There was NO AC in the hallways. We have stayed at this hotel before and liked it because the location is great and the price is not bad. Before booking I read reviews as I always do and a few people mentioned there was construction going on but only on the South wing, it did not really occur to me where the south wing was in respect to the rest of the rooms but I will tell you the south wing is directly across from most of the rooms in the hotel. Toilet seat was all cracked and discolored, carpeting needed to be cleaned, no a/c in the hallways or elevator. House keeping never came and cleaned room or brought clean towels. Ever time we needed towels we had to go to front desk and get them. The Good: Walk out of the hotel and go to the outside pool (with bar :) or continue up the steps to the beach. There is a guy tight there that rents and umbrella with 2 low chairs for $30/day. It is about a 12-15 minute drive to downtown, passing a ton of restaurants along the way. Our room attendant, Kinga, was great! I felt so bad for her. Was ok. The pool was crowded and there are a lot of rules that make it hard to have an adult vacation. Though it is on the beach and Pet friendly. The staff was ok, not overally friendly but not rude. You are close to the downtown area and the beach restraunts are close by. The minigolf in front is a lot of fun. People in St Augustine are very friendly, I recommend Jack's for drinks and trivia.

Our family of 4 stayed for 2 nights. We loved having access to the pool and beach but we did not receive any house keeping nor received fresh towels, even after calling the front desk. There is major construction that is ongoing in the building. The halls are filthy and dust is every where. The carpet in the room was worn and very dirty, to the point of making the soles of your feet dirty after walking on it. On the upside, the beds were comfortable and the beach was great.

Yes it might be cheap, but the hotel is being refurbished. I read a review stating this from February, but didn't realize it would be still going on in July. The hotel has 5 floors and instead of refurbing a floor at a time, so the dirt and dust could have been confined to just the one floor, they're doing all floors at once. The hall ways were dirty as expected because of the work. there was clear plastic film put on the carpet to protect from the builders boots, but some of that was peeling up... Read more

I get that families want to enjoy the pool but at sunset, they should get out and let the adults enjoy some time before the pool closes for the night. I don't know how the "adult supervisor" could even see the kids in the pool to supervise them. It was actually dark before the kids got out. The "tiki bar" was only open until 6 pm but the "no drink policy" was not enforced, so we took our cooler to the pool. Just went thru a major renovation. Very nice place. The drinks were great but much more expensive than anywhere else. Lots of iconic signs that make great vacation photos. Postcard Inn is kind of attached -- but the beach is for hotel guests only. That's a shame. It was empty and we probably would have had lunch or more drinks if we could have gotten into the water from the beach.

This hotel is overpriced and poorly run. We stayed Saturday and Sunday nights. We left Sunday morning at 9 am to see the sights around St. Augustine and got back around 5 pm. The room had not been cleaned, we had no clean towels, the garbage had not full been empty and none of the supplies had been replaced. They had no towels out by the pool. Being right on the beach and the service provided by the manager saved this from a 1 star rating. Our room was filthy, floor sandy and the walls had black hand prints that looked like a crime scene dusting. There were also electrical and cable outlets that were exposed with no covers. If you are bringing your own chairs and umbrella for the beach I would suggest driving to an access and drive on the beach with your things. The rooms were ok.
