Upon arriving at the Holiday Inn Lido Beach, Kara and her staff were amazing and very hospitable. Every time we walked by Kara she called our family by name and asked if there was anything we needed. Paul was the gentleman at the front desk and always greeted us with a smile and was super friendly and also referred to us by name. The entire staff was super friendly and made our family vacation one we will never forget. I highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Lido Beach! Once again yo... Read more

We had breakfast this morning at Holiday Inn Lido. It was completely awesome. We are local so we plan to do this much more often. The view is beautiful. Floor to ceiling windows with view of the beach and aqua gulf waters. Major bonus, the food was great. We didn't take part in the brunch but on the way out we got a good look at it and it was really beautiful. Next time we'll do brunch. It's about $23 plus tax per person but very well worth it. For a little weekend getaway for my wife and me: we were upgraded to a higher floor and Gulf view. That was great! Unfortunately, the hotel was under renovation so it missed the mark for ambiance. Also in a strange set of circumstances it was very windy that night and the gusty wind kept blowing and vibrating the metal railing on the balcony, pretty much all night and the noise kept me awake. Not really much to do to fix that... Hotel staff was helpful and courteous. The location is great: beach... Read more

Went to hotel just for one night getaway for our anniversary. Check in was quick and done with a smile. Lobby is bright and colorful, water is available at the entrance. Room was clean and very pleasant, very nice decoration. Location is amazing, just across the street from the beach and minutes away from St. Armand's. We wanted the ocean view but it was more expensive so we got the city view. This worked out perfectly because the view at night is much better looking at the city and during the ... Read more

Really nice hotel with a hidden gem of a restaurant on the top floor with stunning views including the sunset. One of the best meals at that restaurant on our two week trip to the Gulf cost. Although the beach is across a road still not a problem do not let that put you off. The pool is good with a bar and again overlooking the beach. Staff really friendly and the rooms excellant.

Loved this hotel! After traveling all week for business, decided to stay over an extra day at the beach to relax, so opted for this Holiday Inn instead of a hotel in downtown Sarasota. It was a great choice. Two blocks from shopping and restaurants at St. Armand's, and just steps from the beach. Make sure to get a room with a gulf view balcony. I would definitely stay here again.

The location cannot be beat. It's directly across the road from the beach. It's not a huge property, but the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. A small pool on the side of the property allows ocean views from poolside. We ate lunch poolside. It was just OK, but it saved time from driving for food. A slightly long walk takes you right into St. Armonds Circle.

The interior of the hotel was recently updated. It was modern and attractive. The one restaurant was open only for breakfast and dinner. The wait staff was overworked. There was so much traffic in front of the hotel heading towards St. Armand's Circle that it wasn't worth the drive. There were no walk paths eitheer down the busy road. We were very pleased with our three day stay at the Holiday Inn on Lido Beach. Our room was spacious and clean. The hotel faces the beach and one only needs to cross a small street to enjoy the beautiful white sands of Sarasota. We chose to eat breakfast in the hotel each morning and enjoyed the restaurant on the 7th floor overlooking the water. Spectacular view!

The best thing about the Holiday Inn Lido Beach is the location. You are located right across from the beach and very close to shopping and restaurants. The hotel has plenty of free onsite parking which is a plus as well. I'd recommend a room facing the beach otherwise you'll have a view of the parking lot. The property has a lobby bar/restaurant and a top floor restaurant as well. Even if you don't eat on the top floor, the views are worth going up there! My room was ok and the bathroom was... The hotel stay overall was pleasant. The outside is a little outdated but the location was great. You have Win Dixie supermarket and Starbucks across from the hotel so you can walk to it. I had three kids and myself stay in a double bed. The size was great. Just enough to sleep and relax. Front desk were very friendly. At our stay we went to MOTE it is very educational and kid friendly besides the aqurium they have a bird refugee as you walk over to pet the baby sharks. The only reason I gave t... Read more

Incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. Highly recommend for family and pet getaway! Right across from the beach and an easy short walk into town for the shops and restaurants. The rooftop dining at hotel also is worth doing. Will definitely come again!

Stayed for 4 days because the resorts we hoped to book were sold out. Kudos for the location (across the street from a wide, sugar sand white beach) and just a few blocks walk to St Armand's circle for very good dining, shopping. Abundant free parking off season, nice breakfast at the top floor restaurant. Housekeeping and front desk staff were friendly. We left the front desk a list of 5 or 6 maintenance issues with the room when we checked out. Among them, bedding needs to be replaced (very... Read more

Had booked for three nights and left after the first night. At check in the lady was extremely rude. I gave her my name and she stared at me blankly. Then said "what? Are you checking in?" Most of the time People say "checking in? Welcome! Have you ever stayed at our property before? But not this lady. She proceeded to be very dry and rude acting through the process. ID? Credit card? Fill his out. I asked where a sports bar was to watch college football game. She was not helpful at all and acted... Read more

I stayed here one night for a work function in the upstairs restaurant with about 50 people and the food was amazing! I had an oceanfront king room with a balcony and the view was amazing and directly across the street from the beach. The bed was comfortable and the room was quite but also pretty dated. Good value compared to other hotels in the area. I would stay here again.

We stayed for 2 nights. The view and location were amazing!! However, after a long day of traveling, I decided to take a shower. I was greeted by someone's nasty body hair all over the bathroom. After informing the front desk, we returned the following day to ants/fleas all over the nightstand!! It was terrible. The entire 5th floor smelled of chemicals, and I bet that's why. They have bugs!!! Not to mention, they hide the mini fridge in the dresser with a hide away door. Not really the best ide... Read more

We were going to St. Armand's circle for Halloween and staying at the hotel. It's an easy 2-block walk, so there's no stress is trying to find parking on the circle. The hotel was not crowed, so the manager up-graded us to a corner, beach front room, which was wonderful. There's nothing like having morning coffee, on a balcony, hearing the waves and watching shore birds. The room was clean and the king bed was super comfortable. Everyone was very accommodating. We will do this again.

The hotel was very nice and clean. The location was perfect since our main goal was to shop and eat at St. Armand's Circle. The location is also ideal for a beach vacation as it is right across from a beautiful beach. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a beach vacation that will also include all St. Armand's has to offer.

First time in a long time staying at Holiday Inn. The hotel has been across the street from Lido Beach for a long time but they have maintained the place to look like new. Spectacular views of the beach or intra-coastal. Arrived for our 20th Anniversary and were treated like VIP's (thanks, Paul!!). Rooms aren't large but you won't be staying inside in this area. Best beach walks in Florida. Sunsets are mesmerizing! Two block walk to St Armands Circle means no vehicle travel required while... Read more

This is an "original issue" Holiday Inn, which has been completely refurbished recently. We couldn't have been more pleased. The rooms are spacious and furnished in an excellent manner. The roof top dining room was also a pleasant surprise. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
