Rooms and hall smell of cheap deodorant. Stayed only 1 of 3 nights booked. Bag of mystery gel hanging in closet. Furniture in room tattered/worn and stained.

There was a leak somewhere under the sink and so the carpet was wet and the room smelled musty. The hotel did give us a 20% break on the room, but did not offer to move us to another.

As I was falling asleep the low battery signal on the smoke detector kept going off and I was so tired I did not have a choice but to disable it myself. The bathroom was in need of of a major overhaul, the towel rack was falling off the wall as well as the bathtub shower curtain was hanging like paper that was peeling off. Had to take a shower with the curtain open because if I moved the curtain, it would have fallen off the wall ! The carpet and the colors of the inside room as well as the hall... Read more

Our 4th stay here . Having a continued pleasant experience is what brings us back here time and again . Clean room . My wife has cerebral palsy and we were offered a room with a bath that allows one to sit down easily before standing up in the shower. Wonderful breakfast that keeps our bellies full until dinner. Perfect for access to I-75 and all points Sarasota . 7-11 and Burger King right next door . It says something when you see the same people working here each time we come.

This hotel is good for convenience, but it looks a little rough around the edges. We wanted a cheap place to sleep for four nights while in the Sarasota area. We paid $63/night. Room was clean but a little shabby (old furniture, fraying rug). However, the bed, sheets, location and price made it worth it for us. Room includes shampoo, conditioner, soap, coffee, coffee maker, hair dryer, refrigerator. Shower and vanity were new and worked well. Breakfast included eggs, sausage, breads, cereals,... Read more

sheets did not fit, bathtub did not drain, bedroom smelled musty probably due to the filthy rug, table legs wobbly, lamp did not work, single nylon shower curtain allows for floor flooding, walls needed updating/painting. The air conditioner did work.

This was a last minute decision to stay here. My room had clearly not been vacuumed since the last guest (food crumbs, etc on floor), there were a lot of hairs in the bathroom, and the smoke detector in the hallway was beeping all night because it needed a new battery. I alerted the front desk about the beeping, and he said, he would see what he could do - which turned out to be nothing. When I mentioned all this to the front desk in the morning, the guy there didn't seem to be the least bit int... Read more

Visiting siesta key for fourth of July weekend, 250$ later, and half the Clorox container, able to hopefully sleep in room. The cleaning crew must have forgot to actually clean...door handles filthy, roach droppings underneath alarm clock and phone, chairs that you sit and eat from had so much scum we actually had to scrub and use several wipes per arm, each chai!, table had dried food and crumbs. When we got to the third floor for the first time we couldn't believe the awful smell. It smelled like urine! The room smelled damp- which is whatever, it is Florida after all. My husband started the AC and immediately started sneezing. This went on most of the night. He checked the filter before bed only to notice it had not been cleaned in a very long time. We arrived early (2 hours early) but the receptionist checked us in without a quibble. The room was standard fare for Days Inn, so more than adequate for our needs. What we liked:- Exceptional breakfast. Give the caterer a pat on the back. This was our best dining experience in our Florida road trip. Handy for the I-75. Early check in. Things in need of improvement:- Towels at the poolside. Where are you hiding them? The hot tub was not hot, nor did it whirl! A group of single men drinking beer ... Read more

We found hair in the bed sheets at check in, it seems the sheets were not crispy, possibly not changed at all. There was a stale, moldy smell in the room for the entire stay. We had to ask for fresh towels the second day, room was not even cleaned. The place needs major renovations, owners must be very economical (cheap) people and frankly I wonder how the franchise allows them to operate under their brand... Bathroom shelves are falling down. Stayed there for a couple of weeks. With a couple of exceptions the staff is discourteous and rude, and the upkeep is terrible. Every trash can on the property was overflowing for days, including those at the pool. The hotel is dingy and poorly maintained. On the outside it looks like a decent, clean hotel but it's what's on the inside that counts! The carpet is multi colored stripes covered in a lovely layer of dirt and mysterious hotel room stains. The window has dirt in the track and spider webs. The ceiling and walls look like they had poorly "repaired" water damage or maybe mold?
