This was one of the lesser expensive hotels in the area of Sarasota I could find. Near the area I wanted to be. It is dated, clean, but it smells musty. Clean rooms, adequate, comfortable bed, decent cable selection in the tv. If I was traveling with my gf, we would have not stayed here. She prefers a more upscale hotel. As a single traveler, I was happy with this. The breakfast as advertised, is packaged sweet rolls, instant oatmeal and frozen waffles. Coffee, tea oj and apple juice. The adv... Read more

This motel was reccomended to us by a local medical facility. It was AWFUL!!! Where do I start? The room was dirty and smelled moldy. We called it the Petrie dish. Sliding glass door had a hole that looked like it was shot by a small bullet or BB gun. The Doors were not secured at night. Questionable activities in the parking lot at night. The property is not in good shape, I did not feel safe and I would not reccomend this establishment. AWFUL!

My wife and I stayed recently at this motel and had been there twice before. We like it because its close to Lido Beach and downtown. The staff is always friendly and the rooms are large and clean. There is a Publix grocery store across the street and with a microwave and fridge in the room its perfect. My wife love the 25 foot statue of the sailor and nurse right near the pier. We have styed a total of 3 times so far since 2015 and will be going over to Sarasota again soon and this is the place... Read more

Stayed here 2 nights visiting from Long Island. Did not want to spend much since I was by myself. They had a coupon in one of the travel books that you can pick up around town. I believe it was $59 per night. The room was very nice. Good location but it is a far walk to the main part of downtown Sarasota (Main St.). There is a Publix supermarket next door so you can walk over and pick up what ever you need. Just a 5 minute drive to Main St. where many of the restaurants are. I would stay here ag... Read more

Had breakfast and a pool. Free wifi worked perfect. The bed was cozy and the room was comfy and very clean. Arielle at the front desk was very accommodating to us in helping us extend our stay and helping us with our packages and phone calls. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Have been staying there for an out of town work project. Clean, affordable, and pleasant and attentive staff. Good breakfast. Will be sure and continue my stay as the project continues. Kevin with R.L. James

After reading other reviews, I feel like I need to share my experience. My husband and I came to town to visit family and I needed something in my budget. and you know cheap places can be a hit or miss...The girl at the front dest was pleasant and courteous. My room looked amazing. it was clean and smelled good, the fridge looked brand new. AC was cold and wasn't obnoxious. We had a balcony in our room and it was relaxing

This is my second time to visit Sarasota and we couldn't have been happier with the hotel we selected. This location is convenient to the shops and restaurants downtown as well as the world famous Siesta Key Beach. We prefer to book a mid-grade room in order to save a little money for excursions and entertainment. This older hotel is charming and has real character. It is very clean, as you can see and hear the housekeepers working hard in the late morning and early afternoon. Our bed was n... Read more

I was there with my 2 kids and mom because of Tropical Storm Colin, we are from town and live in a trailer park nearby, after looking for a few hours i chose the closest "cheapest" option for one night, i was charged a $30 deposit for one night plus the room charge, about $95 for the night, after 30 minutes my mom had a bedbug on her back, she had been in the bed for no more than 15-20 minutes, please dont take your family there, of course i had to get out of there in the middle of the storm, pl... We had booked 18 room this past weekend. The staff was very friendly and professional. The rooms were nice and clean, some were in the process of being remodeled. The price was under $100 for per night. Hotel is directly across the street from Publix, McDonalds and Taco Bell. We kept our motorcycles out in the open and no issues with security. The pool is nice and located inside the hotel (no outsiders).
