What a great surprise! Seaside Inn was clean, quiet, and reminiscent of old Florida beach resorts. It is located on the "quiet" side of the island. Easy to get to, (close to the lighthouse) little traffic, and all amenities ( bikes, kayak, paddle boards, chairs and umbrellas) are all included. Very charming.

If you are looking for a large anonymous resort, this isn't your place. If you live for the hunt and claim of a beach lounge every morning...not your place. If you demand Four Seasons housekeeping, not for you. If you love paying ridiculously high resort fees for things you will never use, again, stay away. What you will find at the Seaside Inn is a quaint, cozy spot so conveniently located. A beautiful sandy beach steps away with some great shallow spots for kids, and plentiful chairs and u... The staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel is a little old but it was clean and the breakfast basket was great. I used their bike to go around the island and there were not limit for how long you can use it. I will go back to this hotel.

My husband and I stayed at this resort for three days and were disappointed. Although they advertised beach chairs and umbrellas, they only put umbrellas out for one day. When we asked about the umbrellas, we were given the run around. Eventually, we were told it was too windy for umbrellas, even though there was virtually no wind and other resorts had their umbrellas out. We ended up buying an umbrella even though we had one at home we could have brought. We found the partial ocean view ro... Read more

The only reason why this place is ranked a 3 star is because there is no restaurant on site , We had a great time , we used all what this place had to offer , we will be back in one more month to spent 3 days on the island and will re book here again . Thank you all that worked there for your hospitality , you have a new guest for life .

My wife and I have stayed at Seaside at least a half dozen times over the past ten years. That's probably the best testament a place can get. The reasons we keep returning-super friendly staff; complimentary bikes; clean and quiet. Plus they don't nickel dime you like some hotels do. Beach towels-lounge chairs -umbrellas -gas grilles all included. It's also an easy walk, run or bike ride to great places like the lighthouse and several good restaurants etc.

This is put 2nd time staying here and will be back again next year. I proposed to my wife here last year and this year we are back with our daughter. Place is amazing and everyone is friendly. People rate it low cause there's no restaurant on site. I'd prefer not to eat at the same place every trip. There's many restaurants within 2 miles. I'm already looking forward to coming back next summer.

We enjoyed staying there a couple of different times that we stayed on Sanibel Island. We enjoyed the light breakfast left for us with scones & fruit. the location was also great. You can stay there for under $100.00 per night in the off-season time. The pool & views are nice. Watch out for the sand fleas, if you go shelling. They will bite you before you realize it causing intense itching long after your vacation is over.

We've been coming here for four or five years and to other Inns of Sanibel properties for longer. This one has not started well. We were supposed to check in at 4pm today per their policy, but our room wasn't ready. It took an additional half hour and I think that's only because the front desk guy pushed the cleaning crew along. When I asked why cleaning the rooms of guests checking in today was not a priority, I was told they were short staffed. However, even if true, my biggest complaint h... Read more

I love Sanibel Island because of the shells and wildlife. The Seaside Inn feels like old-style Florida, but the rooms have been renovated and the decor is pretty. I've only stayed in the building with the shared porch, but it really didn't matter because I spend most of the time at the pool or beach (ask for a room on the top floor for best views of the Gulf). Just a few days before my wife's 70th birthday, she decided she wanted to spend it with a long weekend at some waterfront resort with a room right on the water. Because I have had some bad luck with the big travel sites, I searched the web directly and found Seaside Inn on Sanibel. I called their number directly and made a reservation with a very pleasant agent for a waterfront unit. I was told the room would be ready by 4:00 PM but could probably check in by 2:00. We spent a week at the Seaside Inn in July of 2016 and really enjoyed it. There are a few minuses and a lot of pluses. First off, if you're going to arrive late at night, be aware that no one is at the office- you have to pick up your key from a sister property about a mile away. When JetBlue delayed us 9 hours we called to make sure we could check in, and all the lady on the phone told us was that we could check in 24/7, she didn't mention the pertinent info about late hours. Absolutely beautiful place to visit. we stayed 4 nights, very rustic and natural. The beach is white and soft and gorgeous, A lovely man puts parasols on the beach for you every morning. fabulous shells to collect, and lovely walks.
