"I was very disappointed with the quality of the lodging for the cost. Also, the surprise $75 cleaning fee plus another $17 dollars in 'FL fees' was not stated in the confirmation but politely presented to me at checkin. The advertisement and map made it looklike the Beach Walk villas were close to the beach, but they were not. The rooms for 6 travelers were adequate. We called engineers out immediately as there were not any lighted porch lamps, or the house number lite like the others. Also the master bathroom toilet did not flush properly after the 1st attempt. No, I would not suggest this location again, as even the site was confusing to get around."

The people were great and friendly always helpful, the room was great as well.
The shuttle to take you to the beach and wharf was nice, since we didn't have a car, the waiting time in between was sometimes a little long but since they had an app you could download, we knew exactly when it was coming our way..
We had a great time with the free boogie boards and kayaks and although Monday and Tuesday were VERY quiet it became more lively on Wednesday at the wharf with live music and other things to do. Kids loved the arcade area that looks like D&B with nice games. Great stay for a little trip and worth the price!!!"

" All flights and arrangements were perfect. We stayed in a Condo on the BeachSide II section The Sandestin Beach & Golf Resort. The condo was immaculate and very comfortable. The pool was also very nice and also very clean. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to relax and/or golf!! "Little disappointed in the Luau ...
Being local to the area we have enjoyed Sandestin and have stayed at almost all the locations in the resort... we usually try to spend a weekend or two during the off season times. ..personally i was slightly disappointed in the room accommodations here at the luau facility (lipstick on a pig ), the room was slightly above a Motel with a view but not much more- furnishings (CHEEP) No Ironing board, Nicked up furniture, Cleaning was almost non existent other than making the bed and the welcome staff wasn't what i would call helpful - Check in is off of 98 and didn't offer help or directions to my location .. Will i go back to Sandestin - YES .... Luau - NO"

"The overall appearance of the hotel was beautiful and beds were comfortable. The trip would have been great if we had stay only one night. The issues start with process of rooms that are being checked out are clean prior to any rooms occupied. Our room was not clear till the late afternoon. The towels were just folder and not replaced. The pillowcase had make up on it but not changed since we did not put a sign out stating to change the sheets. Since I had rented two rooms the 2nd room did have the sign out but the sheets iwere not replaced. Then when we reported the incident to the front desk the employees return to the room upset over having to chnage the pillow case. I never knew that housekeeping can make a trip so unpleasant when you have to wait all day to have it cleaned."

"We decided to take a short vacation to the beach. We took it and were very satisfied. It was not on the beach which would have been the best way to go but had no problem with the tram that will take you to and from the beach. Our only negative about that area was the beach was very crowded! The positive is the Crystal Clear water! It was gorgeous and you can see all the fish swimming by. You can not see at Gulf Shores area which is where we normally go. The pool, restrooms, and tiki bar which is located on the beach is very nice. At the end of the day, I couldn't find my beach bag and the Sandestin worker in the yellow sales hut went out looking for it. I was so thankful bc I was tired of walking through the sand. Our room which was located on the 2nd floor had a spacious balcony looking out at the pool across the pathway. We had everything we needed. Loved being able to walk to the wharf to eat and drink. And walk back without driving. Felt very safe. I would stay there
again."

"Entering the facility I was completely amazed. The landscape was beautiful. The area was so big felt like I was on my own private island. I stayed at the Grand in a studio room and it was up to the expectations I was looking for. Room was spacious and most important clean. I had a problem with toilet not flushing but staff was prompt to check on the problem. The only downfall with the place was parking. It was underground parking with limited spaces. The private beach was one mile away but transportation was provided. Enjoyed my stay and will definitely return."

"We arrived to find the we had a king bed when we asked to two doubles. We had our daughter with us and needed two beds. no other room with a bay view was available for us. We asked for a cot bed. The bed did not arrive until 0100 after repeated calls to the desk. The bed appeared to have bed bugs, my daughter had bites all over her legs. The next issue was a clogged bath, repeated were calls made to the desk resulting in a lack luster result. They did not fix the drainage problem until the next afternoon. The resort itself is a great place as for the accommodations I would look elsewhere."

"I stayed at this resort for three nights, I had requested a crib with the reservation and they claimed that I didn't request it. I was told they would bring it to me in two hours, I still had not received it until I called three times. One of the shower heads was broken spraying water everywhere. I had let the staff know but they just checked it, not fix it. I asked to speak with the manager and I was told he would call me in a few hours, he never did. It seems to me the customer service is not up to standard for this resort."

"The overall resort was very nice but our room was a disappointment. I booked a studio, which I would have expected to be at least the size of a normal hotel room but it was significantly smaller and claustrophobic with barely enough room to move around. The bathroom sink area did not have much surface space and no place to hang a hand towel and few other towel hooks. Not good for a family of 4.
The grounds were beautiful however and we were in the Market Street Inn which was close to all the restaurants and shops. We enjoyed the clay tennis courts and played several times. Pool was very nice.
Upon checkin, we didn't really receive much of an overview of the resort which is very different from other resorts we have stayed at. Also, since the Market Street Inn had no lobby of it's own, you had to walk all the way back to registration to talk to someone in person. With no lobby, it was hard to find luggage carts, and we had to ask several times for new towels to be brought to our room. In addition, the parking for our room was the same as the parking for the public at the Sandestin Village and several times we had to park in a completely different lot because day visitors had taken all the spaces.
Overall, I think if we had booked a larger room (which I would have done if I had known the Studio was so undersized), we would have enjoyed our visit more but I would not return to this resort. I have had much better experiences at other resorts around the country than here."

"The resort was very nice. I really liked how the tram took us everywhere we needed to go. Our room however was awful. We were on the 1st floor and they didn't have sheer drapes, just the blackout drapes, so we basically stayed in what felt like a basement. In the bathroom they had a 24 inch vanity with a sink in the middle, so our family of 4 had no place to put anything. They didn't have a safe to store our belongings. I could go on and on about how this was not a 4 star hotel. We stayed at a Wyngate for $99 a night and it beat this hotel hands down. Very disappointed."

"Great location! One bedroom was NICE! washer/dryer, kitchen, seating area, dining table, 1 bedroom with king, huge bathroom with shower and tub. Great food at Village and basically right out the front door. Close to beach but have to tram it or drive it - very easy. Cost of umbrellas and chairs are high but worth it. Only take credit cards or room charge. Didn't realize: resort fees and taxes ( did see in paperwork but didn't realize that we had to pay upon arrival), no cleaning/towel service. Can get extra towels and we did wash. Cleaning fee of $50 was listed. Would definitely recommend it and would go back again."

"Clean and convenient condo. This is my second rental here. The bayview was super for watching the evening sunset and having morning coffee on the balcony. The pool area is very large.Plan on driving to the beach, I found it is easier for carrying my beach things. There is ample parking on the beachside. "The was a beautiful play to stay and we enjoyed our stay. The property is absolutely gorgeous and our room in the Bayside Inn was recently renovated. Our kids, 8 and 15 truly enjoyed themselves at the pool and the beach. The staff was friendly and my husband enjoyed the fitness center every morning. There were plenty of activities for the family, bike riding, tennis, golf, beach, pool, shopping, you name it. I can not wait to go back for another trip later this year."

"Overall my stay at Sanedestin Golf and Beach Resort was good. The property is beautiful and serene. There are a variety of amentities at the resort for both adults and kids. However, the hotel where my daughter and I stayed was a little outdated. I expected more considering this is a 4-star resort. I would recommend the resort to others especially for the price. When I go back to Sandestin, I would definately like to stay at the resort again just maybe in a condo or villa."

Not once have I been disappointed, evey year we stay in different homes or condos and have been impressed every time. "The Luau at Sandestin was beautiful, but if you want extra towels or pillows, you will have to pay an extra fee!!!! I already paid a cleaning fee, but that doesn't include any extra linens. It's hard to keep up with washing the towels, when you are using them for the beach as well. There are also no food stands or food courts or vending machines to get any snacks, within a reasonable distance. I will not visit this condo complex again. There are less expensive condos out there that would be just as good as this place."

"Our stay at the Sandestin Golf and Beach resort was VERY pleasant! We did not bring our kids as this was a get away for us - but it's a very kid friendly place. There's a kiddie pool next to the regular one. Biking was fun. There are kids' bikes too. Very peaceful stay. Nice rooms. Plenty of restaurants close by - ranging from fast food to elegant. Great price for this place through bookit! "
