The hotel is perfectly located downtown, within walking distance to shopping, dining and local businesses. It seems recently renovated, both in the lobby and in the rooms. The double-queen suite was spacious and generally comfortable. The bed and the sofa were a bit hard for my taste, but still suitable.

My husband and I stayed here on a mini-vacation and love it! The is situations in the heart of everything - we parked the car on the night we arrive and didn't take it out again until we needed to catch our flight four days later. I would say that the proximity to the water was our favorite part - from the hotel, it was a short five minute walk. As for the hotel itself, our room was clean and well kept - the air conditioning worked like a gem and the shower had great water pressure. The st... Read more

Free happy hour during the week starting at 5pm. There is a safe in the room to lock up valuables. It is within walking distance to many stores, restaurants and attractions. There is also a trolley that makes a big loop around the downtown area. The public beach is about a mile walk on a very nice path ... Read more

We received (due to my HHonors Status) a room upgrade ... . The room was big ... (the only plus) ... with a very noisy air condition and all in all not very clean ... . By far not the hampton standard I'm used to. The bright light on the balcony could not be switched off ... . Therefore leaving the balcony door open for fresh air was also impossible ... . In room lights were partly electrically dangerous and not well maintained ... . As is the A/C! To top it off, there is only valet parking... Read more

Hotel & staff very nice. CONSTRUCTION of large building next door is not. Sound of pilings being driving into ground starts before the sun comes up (6:30a) so if you're on vacation plan on getting UP then. Valet parking ONLY @ $16. Value and Sleep Quality poor because of construction noise.

Good service. Efficient check in. The room was clean and the bathroom had Neutrogena products, which I like. Had a microwave and mini fridge. Breakfast was great and varied each day with either omelets, bacon, chocolate-chip scones, plenty of fresh fruit. We had a rental car for the first two days because we wanted some beach time, and with the limited parking you must use the valet. After that they provided a shuttle for each day of our seminar. The Hampton Inn St. Pete has a great location. It is easy walking distance to all of the fun downtown. The parking is a bit odd, but efficient. The pool is small and because of the construction across the street, very noisy. This should get better soon. The breakfast buffet is very good. This hotel has the best location in St. Pete. Eventhough the only logical parking is valet, it was very easy to get your car in and out when needed. Room not made up by 3:30 pm when we needed a rest after long day sight seeing. Found a maid and asked that the waste baskets be emptied and the towels be replaced. The morning breakfast offering offereda wide enough selectikn to please even the most finicky palate. Very pleasant atmosphere. Staff members Francis and Stacey were very accommodating, and there was a nice happy hour and free breakfast. We had a suite which was nicely appointed. Great location, too, near the Museum of Fine Arts and the Dali Museum and just a few blocks from Florida CraftArt where I like to shop for art and gifts.

The hotel is clean with complimentary breakfast. More then You would expect The location is exactly where you want to be if the entertainment district is your goal. It's One block from the yacht club. Great place to walk. The bars for the entertainment district are literally one block away so if the action is where you'd like to be in St. Petersburg downtown is definitely the right hotel for you.

We came here because of the close proximity to concert venue. This is great place to stay if you are looking to do the museums also. It had a great pool. The terrace room we stayed in was lovely. The room was very clean and the room was very quiet.

The room was comfy and clean. I would say there is a lot of noise from the construction but you can't blame the hotel for that. Just be aware. The lobby serves as the breakfast area and complimentary happy hour (which was awesome!) You can also chill down there with your laptop. Valet is mandatory and is $16/day. I didn't care because we just walked everywhere we wanted to go so it was worth it. Breakfast and coffee were ok. Nothing special but it was free and the area was kept clean and stocked... Read more

This was the perfect hotel for the bride, groom and the family! The service was great and the location was amazing! Breakfast every morning was fresh with 24 hr coffee and fruit water in the lobby. The Valet parking guys would go above and beyond when help was needed. One guy helped make copies for me and even grabbed items from my car when requested. The night audit guy was the absolute best! He went totally out of his way to help make a print-out of my daughters wedding vows that we had forg... Read more

A lovely hotel within a few short blocks of local restaurants and the various harbor marinas. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Parking in the downtown area is an issue but the hotel offers valet parking at a fairly reasonable cost. Even after you check out, you can leave your car for a few hours with no extra fees. Our room was close to the elevator, so you could hear the 'bing' whenever the elevator reached the floor and the doors opened. We also found the chaise lounge chairs arou... Read more

Downtown St. Pete's hotels seem a little expensive, but I got a good night's rest, and the staff were helpful when I needed them. They even got a room ready for me to check in early so I didn't have to carry my bags to my appointment.

With my friend getting married, my wife and I needed a place to stay for the weekend, in St. Pete. My friend said he was staying at the Hampton Inn. With that in mind I went online and started the booking process, I choose a suite with a terrace and got my AAA discount to boot. When we checked in the staff was very helpful and quick. The room was very clean and the terrace as it turns out was private and super spacious. The complimentary breakfast was great and so was the check out process. Just... Read more

We stayed at this hotel with a wedding room block for my sister's wedding. Everything we needed was within walking distance which was very convenient. The staff at this hotel are exceptional! Everyone was nice, they always had a smile on their face, they were accommodating to our special requests and the front desk even greeted us by name! I have worked for years inspecting rooms during my hospitality career so I tend to be pretty critical when I travel. I have to say, this hotel was immacul... Read more

The Hampton Inn is a nice chain hotel in a very convenient location in St. Pete, close to the yacht club, dining, and the waterfront. The service was consistently friendly and my room was large and clean. I appreciated the free breakfast, which included a rotating variety of breakfast entrees so longer term guests weren't force to have the same thing every morning. Equally appreciated was the free happy hour M-Th with hot snacks and beer and wine. This was totally unanticipated and very welcome.... Read more

This hotel is ideally placed for the bay waterfront and marina, which puts it in quite a picturesque situation close to some nice bars and restaurants. More importantly for me it was very convenient for the Dali museum and for the Fine Art Museum. The public areas and breakfast room had a good feel. Our room, overlooking the swimming pool, was spacious with two very comfortable beds. The only problem was that the pool was closed for the two days we were staying. However, we were offered the alt... Read more

A very enjoyable place to stay in the heart of the lively part of the city. The staff was enthusiastic and the access to restaurants was phenomenal. The only thingthat bothered me and this is true of many hotels was the ultra thick blanket. You either froze or roasted.

Spacious and clean rooms, 24/7 coffee and tea and a good complementary breakfast selection made this stay enjoyable. The room size is large for a Hampton Inn and having access to a little balcony is a nice touch. The staff are always friendly. Whether walking to restaurants along Beach Drive or to the west or going in the other direction to the Farmer's Market or Dali museum, the hotel is in the perfect spot for a staycation. Which is a good thing if you're too impatient to wait for the valet to return your car.

Terrible room. I had a business partner to walk-in and he was given a rate of $99.00 versus the $200.00 that I paid booking online. Its better not to book online and walkin. If you walk in its half price and if you book online its better not to book ahead.

Our room and the rest of the hotel was extremely clean and nice. It wasn't as fancy as some places, but had a small workout room and a pool on the second floor.
