This place was incredible. We usually stay at another hotel in the area but that hotel became increasing bad. We found this online and found most of the reviews to be excellent so we took a chance and booked our room. After a 12 hour drive we arrived early and was pleasantly surprised to find our room ready. We had been upgraded which made everything much nicer. We were greeted by the most friendly ladies. They treated us as if we were long lost friends. They were welcoming and helpful and got u... I cannot say that I would recommend the Residence Inn Plantation. Firstly, I requested a quiet room on an upper floor away from the elevator. Without my asking, I was supposedly "upgraded" upon check-in from a studio to a 1 bedroom queen, which sounds nice, but it wasn't. While this room was on the upper floor, it was adjacent to a room that was blaring loud music. Also, this room was right next to the stairwell, which had the door open so you could hear all the noise carrying up & down it f... Read more

We stayed here just before a cruise. We booked a 2 bedroom suite and got a 1 bedroom suite so had to go down and get it changed. Good thing we did not have out luggage with us. This is supposed to be a category 6 now (it used to be a 5). I am sorry but I do not in any shape or form see this as a cat 6 hotel. Pool was small, Breakfast was passable. separate buildings to maneuver to. Old property. For a one nighter it was fine but I would not stay there for any amount of time. Marriott need... Read more

This is one of the better Residence Inn's I have stayed at. The rooms seem recently renovated, the staff is friendly and the location is close to nearby shopping and restaurants. As well, the food offerings during the week were better than expected! I will look to stay here in the future, no complaints! Even the cookies were great!

Stayed here a single night to attend a retirement party in town. Had used the mobile check in, was on my way to my room in under 30 seconds. Had requested a room away from traffic noise, was in a 2nd floor 1 BR suite as far away from the traffic as possible. (Thanks for the upgrade) The room was well appointed and, with the exception of the sliding closet doors, in excellent repair. The room appears to have been recently renovated and the furniture is a significant improvement from what I have b... Read more

I recently stayed at the property over the weekend and was amazed at the superior level of Good customer service displayed by guest service representative Danielle!!! She was amazing, went well above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and my requests were accommodated. Now to the review; the check in process was smooth, the room was very comfortable. The room we had was equipped with a stove, large fridge, dishes, and a dish washer. The WIFI was free and worked very well in the lobby and roo... Read more

We stayed here last night while visiting Plantation. The rooms are really nice and I loved the layout. However, I did not sleep as well here as other hotels. The air conditioner was pretty loud and the bed was not the most comfortable. The staff were very nice.

We stopped on our way to Key West for a 2 night stay. This is the neatest place! Although we missed breakfast this morning, we were able to catch a quick bite of chicken tacos during social hour / dinner in the lobby. Newly renovated, the 2 bedroom suite provided ample space for us to scatter to our respective corners. The front office staff is SO nice and very accommodating. We definitely plan to stay here on our return trip from the Keys!! Fire pit and pristine pool are bonuses! Highly recomme... Read more

We stayed here for a few nights as the location was convenient to our cousin's house, and I am accustomed to the quality Marriott hotels deliver. The hotel was tricky to find as it sits behind a school, so it is not visible from the main road. That was the first hiccup. The parking lot was dark which worried me for the safety of my car. Luckily nothing happened. Certain doors in the hotel looked like their security had been previously compromised, as I was traveling alone with my 2 child... Read more

I have stayed at multiple residence inns over the years and this one is a little old. ALso the dinner is not dinner compared to most residence inns I have stayed. For example the dinner on thursday was waffles, really it was waffles not a dinner, not sure they even have it on thursdays since there was no menu.

I spent a week here and found the staff to be delightful. The rooms are all recently remodeled and the minute I mentioned an issue with my air conditioning it was repaired. The meals meet the need and the coffee is okay if iced. There is always ice water and lemonade available.

I really enjoyed my stay at this property. The staff was very friendly. The beds were nice and comfy. The breakfast was on point. The hotel was very clean and up to date. There were about three entrances to get to the hotel. The hotel is conveniently located near a mall and several retail stores and restaurants. The only downfall of this property is the loud HVAC unit when it is on.

Stayed for 3 nights. Received a lovely handwritten note upon our late arrival, which was a nice surprise. Living room and kitchen area were clean and spacious, as well as the bathroom. Our queen room was snug and difficult to manuever with the large bedroom and bathroom door. Breakfast was good, but often crowded and unorganized in the food area (some people need manners). Somehow our room was missed for a cleaning on Friday morning, but we didn't press the issue. Also, the AC was loud in ... Read more

Nice and clean room with a very helpful staff. The grounds are well kept as well as the swimming pool. The staff is very attentive and will help you with any issues. The front desk is efficient and very polite. The breakfast is plentiful with different dishes and breads. This is a pet friendly hotel. BTW, basic but nice gym.

I stayed in the hotel for 3 weeks, It was nice until I realize, 10 days after check out, I did not receive refund of the charge. I have used 2 cards one for the reservation (company card - not mine) one for charges (my personal card) as mentioned during the check-in and... During the check out they said that charges will be fully refunded on the good one but 10 days after nothing ! They did not want to trust me that charges were not refund on my personal card. I spend a lot of time in South Florida. This is always my hotel of choice. This last trip I had a bunch of employees with me. There was numerous reservations, and one of them needed changing. The reservations were a potential mess. They handled our check-in quickly and efficiently. The re-model is very nice. The staff is great here! There are dining and shopping options nearby.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. Since it's only 2 years old it is still very clean and well maintained. The decor around the hotel and in the rooms is also very pleasing to the eye. We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite. The room was spacious and had 2 bathrooms. The kitchen was self-contained with a large fridge, a cook top and a large microwave. Dishes, pots, pans, utensils, etc are available. We loved the sectional which was in the sitting area, as well as the added plus of a table which ... Read more

This is an excellent hotel away from the hustle of Fort Lauderdale but close enough to get there conveniently. The location is convenient just off Broward Blvd near to where it intersects with University. The Westfield Broward Mall is just on the opposite corner of the same intersection and there are plenty of options to get food either Publix on University (S of Broward) or Publix and Winn Dixie both on Broward (W of University); all three locations are within a mile of the RI. The rooms have a bad moldy smell, much more than the standard Florida hotel. In fact, they probably have actual mold since I am allergic and was having a reaction. The room was dirty and the pool pump and toilet made noise all night. The breakfast was subpar with uncooked eggs and stale bagels. I was told they were renovated, but the walls are still paper thin. Never staying there again.

We stayed here for two weeks and were very happy. It was only one of a handful that met our criteria: 2 bedrooms, full kitchen and pets accepted. The FREE hot and continental breakfast was typical breakfast faire: waffles, cheeses, breads, eggs, and breakfast meats. It WAS free, so I did not deduct the rating for the very same breakfast every day- but after a week, I ended up just cooking my own eggs. But for those who do not have the time- the breakfast was fine. The FREE evening food was a... Read more

My family and I stayed at this hotel over the summer. Unfortunately, about half way into our stay, my girlsā?? two Ipads were stolen from the room. We reported it to the police but the hotel asked us to follow their process which we obliged. After not hearing any news for a day or two we called the housekeeping manager only to be told that there was no evidence that Ipads were ever in the rooms. We were then put on to the manager who refused to meet with us in person. After several attempts to... Read more

My wife and I stayed at this hotel. My wife unfortunately was mugged right outside the front door. There is no security here. The hotel is situated in from the main street. The staff was very unhelpful and didn't seem concerned afterwards. The lighting in the parking lot is far from adequate. The hotel management at the time seemed to change on a weekly basis. This hotel is a franchise, there was no response from the owner. Staying here is at your own risk. The date we travelled was Feb/15

I went here for business and from the very beginning I was treated professionally. My flight was delayed so I arrived very late and I was given a room immediately by the desk clerk. The hotel was very clean and it's animal friendly. The group I was with was able to meet and even have use of the grill outside. I asked for nearby Restruants and was immediately given print outs with directions. I had one problem in my room and it was handled immediately. I would recommend this hotel to everyone tra... The hotel does a good job of trying to mask an old looking hotel into a "remodeled" newer one with its modern decor but when we first arrived we did not like how outdated it looked. We had a two bedroom suite which I assume was one of the nicer rooms but yet we found a huge bug near the bed, the sheets in one of the rooms had an unpleasant smell, and there were huge ants all over the bathroom and bedroom as well. Probably will not be coming back to this Marriott in the future.

I love the fact that each suite has a fully functioning kitchen with all the utensils you need! This is a perfect place for a family to stay. Also a perfect place if you want to just relax. Well, I reviewed a quite few Marriott's Residence Inns (RIM) so far. In general I tend to like them. If you are not picky about the poor luxury of details and furniture you tend to be satisfied with most details, namely, size of room, breakfast, services, etc . But one thing this time was not tolerable for us as a couple: small double bed with no choice of king size or 2 doubles... That was a pretty squeezed night for my wife and I. If double beds (called at front desk queen) are standard f... Read more
