I had a quick detour in my travel to visit a client. I stayed at LaQuinta for its Known quality. I've used LaQuinta now for several years, if I had to make one statement I would make this one. I know that LaQuinta is a "Pet Friendly Hotel"..but there are clients like me who work the field throughout the U.S. I would make this suggestion if I may: Keep the Pets segregated from your guest who don't have any..It gets kind of bad. I also have been bitten by fleas in Jacksonville Fla on Hartley Rd &... Read more

This old hotel should be renovated. The odor, lack of business center, poor breakfast and rickety balcony and elevator are just the beginning of substandard business practice. No business center. uncomfortable bed, running toilet, very tiny bathroom. Pillows not good. Parking terribly close and not fenced.

The staff was friendly. Enjoyed my stay. The snacks for breakfast were tasty. The maid service was good. Repaved the parking lot and smell of tar was very unpleasant. This hotel entrance is a little hard to get into.

Very pleasant 6 days at this hotel. The Bob Evans next door has very good food with akot of selections. The hotel has a continental breakfast, clean eating area, laundry room and friendly helpful staff,

Plain and simple. The worst, filtiest place I ever stayed. Seriously, pubic hairs in the tub AND the sheets? I wouldn't even bathe there. Granted they changed my room, but not much better. No security, all external doors leading to hotel rooms were unlocked. Ultimately, I refused to pay for the one night I stayed, and cancelled the following nights I was supposed to be there. Horrible.

Yes I have stayed here. I feel that the rooms are very small and very outdated. It really needs to be torn down and make a new one that people will want to come too. The pool is very small. You must bring your room key to get in so the drunks and drug addicts don't come in, and the gates feel like jail as the yellow metal gates bang as you enter the pool area. I prefer to go to La Quinta Central Drew and US 19 I love that pool all of the rooms and their updated on all of their things. TRY and ... Read more

Whenever we are in the area, we choose to stay in this La Quinta. It is near our family who we are there to visit. It is also centrally located so we can easily make day trips to the beaches and other tourist areas. We can also be back to have dinner with our family after a day of sightseeing. It is right off the expressways and is easy to get in and out of.

However I tried again. I first booked a smoking room (did not get that). Then when I officially arrived this (NO NAME TAGS AT ALL ON ANY OF THE EMPLOYEES) guy was so rude he told me check in was at 3pm. I then told him I told the hotel to expect me between 9am and 10am. He did his click click thing saw my reservation but told me I was lucky that he had one room available. So unprofessional that alone has deterred me from ever going there again. Then I found in the shower MOLD. The area where the... Read more

Look, I realize the this place is a low budget place. The thing that ticked me off was I was given a " non smoking room". Well to be honest my room stunk to high heaven of stale smoke. Should I have gone and demanded another room yes, but I didn't and that is on me. As you go up and down the stairwells to go back to your vehicles, I encountered numerous employees sitting right outside smoking like there is no tomorrow. Look, I get it that people smoke, but I don't believe that guests should have... Read more

I would like to say that I will never refer this place to anyone. First we did our reservation online through Expedia. When we arrive at the place the person at the front desk said that I had 6 rooms reserved in my name instead of 4. He said we had to call Expedia to solve this and he could not help. In the meantime, he kept taking care of other peoples' problems, while my family and I (7 people and one child) trying to understand what was going on. We all tired from spending the day at the beac... Read more

Have stayed here before and it was nice. It is showing much wear and pool area was very dirty. The pool had green algae on the sides and bottom and was very cloudy. It would not have been in such condition if it where cleaned each day. The restrooms by the pool were filthy. They had no pool towels at the pool like they used to. They ran out of breakfast items and did not replace or replenish them. Also we had a poolside room and it is very small and cramped. We also killed a German roac... Read more

Honestly we were not looking for a lavish hotel but this La Quinta has some issues outside and in. I don't know why all the outside door/floor mats are not thrown away. They are disgusting. The elevator walls need cleaning with cleanser. The water bugs outside around the hotel were abundant. I purchased some repellant to spray around the doorway to keep them away from our room. I think they live in the walls of the hotel. I notice a lot of cats around. The area where the ice machine is loca... Read more

Found the Refrigerator small compared to other La Quinta Hotel Rooms and uncomfortable where it was located, on the floor. Desk was not appropriately clean. Had sticky residues from previous usage. Shower and toilet area uncomfortable to move around because it's too smal.

Reserved a non-smoking room and the room smelled like smoke. Come back from working all day and your room hasn't been cleaned. Told the front desk about it and they still didn't clean it. Unacceptable.

The free breakfast is great and all. Wish it was more for the price we are paying. But never the less its there. What else seems to be there is the front desk manager joe shmoe. Who is very upsetting and lowered the grade of the hotel right away. He seems to be a drunk and he acts like he hates his job and life. While an older white lady was filling up two lunch boxes worth of breakfast items. He proceeds to tell my children that they cant take as much food upstairs. We have 4 children. Two who ... Read more

Had to be in the immediate area and this hotel was close. It's OK, not great, just ok. The rooms look like they got a recent re-carpet and a painting. Rooms are clean, somewhat dated, furniture comfortable. Multiple buildings, rooms on the lower floor noisy due to traffic.

the room stunk of mold and old smoke. the bathroom was very steamy. the breakfast is a joke, just cold cereal and bagels. even the coffee was bad. i had enough points so that this room was completely free...but we still hated it and left the next day, went to a different (pricey) hotel

Older La Quinta but a good value for the price. Close to I-275 and the various places I needed to see. Also close enough to the shore to find good seafood restaurants. Would have liked a guest computer in the lobby and a waffle maker but what was available served my needs adequately.

The room we had was quite big. However, it definitely needs a facelift. All the furniture is old. It was fine since we were barely in the room. The only issue we had with the room in general was that water would get stuck under the tub lining. There definitely was a lingering smell of mold, which I'm sure is coming from this problem. But everything else was very clean. Convenient location to roads to get you to Clearwater, downtown St Pete, and Tampa. We also enjoyed the pool. Liked having a mic... Read more

My trip was semi-business related so I just needed a centrally located, and low cost hotel. When I booked the room the service I used indicated a "full breakfast." In fact it was continental, but was enough to get going in the morning. The facility is definitely in need of a facelift, as one other Advisor indicated. My room was supposed to be non-smoking, but the smell of smoke was evident immediately, and did not dissipate for the week. The microwave was dirty with what appeared to be pizza... Read more

I booked this hotel with a handicapped room because of the friend taking me for eye surgery. The first booking went well. The second visit we did NOT get the handicapped room because it was overbooked. We even arrived early in the day! They offered us the suite on an upper floor where you had to walk about half a block to get to the room! We were put in a first floor room and promised no points would be charged since we did not get the handicapped room we originally booked. Not so! Points were t... Read more

I expected this to be like other La Quinta hotels but was disappointed. It was more like a motel. The lobby and front desk was fine. Breakfast was all grab and go items, nothing hot. The room was just ok. Sheets had some stains. There was food left in a dresser drawer from a previous customer. Bathroom was very small. Nothing special. Pool was ok. It seems to be a pet friendly hotel because there were about 5 or 6 dogs there with their owners. So, overall, just ok but not as nice as some other L... Read more

I was not happy with this location. There are much better LaQuinta locations. This particular location makes LaQuinta look bad. I suggest LaQuintas to friends and family often. The price is great and the rooms are fantastic. I paid a lot more at a nice new Holiday Inn express a few months back that resembles the LaQuinta in St Augustine, FL to a T! And I paid more for that Holiday Inn room in Fulton, MS; a nothing town. I really wish that I didn't have a poor experience, but I did.

Our stay at this La Quinta was ok ,the staff was very friendly, the room was clean so far and the bed were very comfortable. Our only complaint is: Safety look doesn't work, a towel from the Guest before were hanging behind the Bathroom door, the A/C Unit needs a new Filter (smell of mold everytime when the A/C turned on). Was ok for one Night.

Although this is a no-frills motel, the size of the room is adequate, and the electronics table was excellent. It had a separate office chair and had a 6-outlet plug. Also, the internet connection was excellent. You do not need a password, and the connection is fast and strong.

The staff is friendly and helpful. Even let us check in before check in time. The building is an older motel with outside entrances which is great if you are traveling with pets. The rooms and common areas were clean and neat. The breakfast was not as good as most LaQuinta's where I have stayed.

The hotel is a hotel same as any other. It's the standard La Quinta Inn. What made this trip so special was Nester! He is an AMAZING employee!!!! I called to make the reservation and had a ton of questions as this stay was a party for my daughters 13th birthday sleep over party. Nester handled every question like a champ! Finally after changing my reservation a couple times Nester suggested I just book the suite and.....he gave me a great rate!!!!!! He is bubbly, friendly, and deserves a raise!!... Read more
