I had read on reviews that there had been renovations to this hotel. But there were ongoing renovations that were not even mentioned when we checked in. Staff at front desk was not friendly. Our room had new flooring and the mattress was replaced during our stay, but the bathroom was awful. No hot water at sink, ceiling in bath needed repairing or replacing, hole in Sheetrock, sink took forever to drain. I believe it would have been better to close the hotel, renovate the entire hotel instead o... Read more

This hotel is within walking distance to everything you need. The beach is across the street, the bay is in the back area of the hotel. The Pensacola boardwalk is 5 minutes by foot. They have kayaks, wake boards and float chairs. (at no charge). The hotel itself is clean and smells new. No carpet all tile floors. The linens are crisp and the mattresses are new. I'm not one to complain often. I understand that this is a Travelodge and not a Marriott; HOWEVER, this was by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in and I spent $220/night (Memorial Day Weekend). To start, our room smelled like some sort of chemical and was extremely potent. The floors and bed were covered with sand granules the minute we stepped in the room. There were NO towels and when I called for towels, it took 2 hours to get them. The curtains were stained with mold, the sheets on bot... Read more

I will just state the facts not my personal opinion. (1) There is no carpet on the floors. We woke up to wet wood floors due to condensation. (2)The toilet in our room was leaking and the noise was distracting. (3) The internet was unreasonably slow. About .3 meg. compared to 20+ in the other hotels we stated at on this trip. (4)We received a 6:00 a.m. wake up call that we did not request. (5)There was no getting into our room at all before 4 p.m. (6) The hotel was being renovated. The dumpsters... Read more

We arrived on a Monday, and departed on Friday. We had the best time ever! It was a very clean, and taken care of property. The private beach was beautiful and clean. My children had a blast in the pool while we were there. Between the pool, and the across the street access to the beach, and all the restaraunts ,I would stay here every year without question! We got a newly renovated room but it wasn't a full renovation and bathroom had mold and fixtures were not updated. We had several issues the first night I had to call staff at 3am because the person staying right next door was yelling and cussing someone on her cell phone. It was a very loud motel with doors around you would be opened and closed. The worst part was the floors were nasty because maids were cleaning them thoroughly. We though that the location would be great since we could walk to the beach but if you like to have a relax drink on the beach this is not a good location. The beach area right in front of the hotel is alcohol prohibited. And I mean not in glass or cans but none whatsoever. And there are lifeguards all over to make sure of it. So we ended up using our car everyday to go the eastern area of Pensacola beach close to Navarro beach to find the liberty and relaxation.

My stay on the beach at Travelodge was fantastic. The room was large enough and clean. Cassandra at the front desk was excellent in serving my particular needs. We arrived late Saturday evening as we were shooting a wedding nearby. The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly and told us we were the last to check in. Our room was on the fourth floor. When we got there, we first noticed the floors were bare (no carpet) and sandy. Then, there were no towels, just wash cloths. Next to a loud bar & out dated. Feels mildly unsafe and dingy. Over priced for quality. Next to everything walking distance and the beach which is a plus, but not sure it outweighs the noise until early morning and smelly water.

We enjoyed the room and stay because of the access to the bay/beaches. They only had one washer working for linen's and the staff worked extra hard to make sure we had what we needed in our room. They were always courteous and never gave any attitude when something was broke. We will probably stay here again. Just hope management can fix some of the issues with the support equipment.

I surprised my husband last minute with The Blue Angels plus a day at the beach. We were on our way home from a vacation when I looked online to see if a hotel was available. He had initially checked several months before, but all hotels were filled. The hotel was passable. Its redeeming features were location across street from beach, price and friendly staff. The drawbacks were outside rooms (heard all local traffic and bar across parking lot) and sketchy continental breakfast. Overall would r... Read more

Customer service was great. This location however left much to be done. Our bathroom ceiling had mold and had been scraped about halfway. The floors were nice, but were swept not mopped. Pool was dirty and weeds needed to be taken care of. This location was also near a bar that played loud music until 2:30am.

The hotel is a bit run down but it is awesome to be able to walk everywhere. They have bikes, kayaks, paddle boards and spectacular view. Staff were all very nice. Check in not until 4 and early checkout is later and earlier than the other hotels

The location is the best feature of the hotel. It's across the street from the beach and pier and restaurant. It's not far from other stores and restaurants. The room was ok but very basic. No place to hang clothes though there was a dresser. The paint was peeling and it was sort of run down but clean.

Room was dirty, AC didn't work, bathroom door did not close, light over vanity did not work, our room key was given out to strangers twice in the middle of the night. Frightening experience to have someone try to get into your room while you are sleeping, two different times.

The ONLY good things about this hotel is the location and the staff. The room was grose ( room 128) the bathroom walls were moldy, and I spent the weekend unable to put on makeup because the light over the sink did not work. We stayed there to save a few bucks; spend the extra 10 bucks and stay in a clean non moldy room. Its really sad that the rooms are so pathetic because they have a really nice pool beach area.

Great location. Within walking distance of some of the best restaurants & shops. It's also directly across the street from the outdoor music venu where local bands play each week. Beach access is also directly across the street. The swimming pool overlooks the bay behind the motel. Our room was average, nothing fancy, but it was clean.

There was a triathlon event going on and most of the rooms were booked. But still, for the price charged, they could have at least provided a better contentital breakfast. A standard room like this in any other location would be a lot less expensive but you do have a great location w access to beach!!!

First of all the ads for hotel were misleading. It was listed as a pensacola beachfront hotel but was only on the bayside, not the Gulf.
