"My wife, 9 year old and 3 year old checked in late Wednesday night, The front desk had already closed but the staff left our room key and info with security so we could get in our room. It was VERY appreciated with two tired kids!! The place was nice and our room was very clean and comfortable. DSL internet did not work in our room so we had to go down to the lobby to get wireless which was a pain since we asked about this prior to booking. If you are booking thru this site be prepared to pay an additional fee when you check in. We stayed for four nights and had a $241.00 balance due at check in!! They said for cleaning fees, and some other B.S. fees. The rate of 150 per night was to good to be true!! Overall it was a great experience, the kids loved it and it was some good quality time in a nice condo with the family!"

"My family and I have stayed at the Splash two years in a row and we love it!!!! My kids would not want to stay anywhere else. We plan on going and staying at the Splash many more years to come. Yes you keep your own towels washed (its really not hard to do, throw them in the wash add liquid and hit start and throw them in the dryer!!) You also have to take your trash and throw it down the trash shoot and there is one on every floor. Also if you dont want to see people having a good time (not all rednecks) and relaxing and maybe having a beer go stay somewhere else because this is called a vacation people!! Relax and have a good time and dont be a stick in the mud. "

"My mom, little girl, and I came down here in August. It was the perfect time-no crowds, no problems! My little girl was 20 months old and had a blast! She loved the water slides and the tot area. It was great for a little one because we didn't have to be out in the sun all day since the play area is covered. I can see that it might be a difficult place to stay in the peak season, but for fall it was fabulous! Our room was also beautiful and very clean. Yes, you have to launder your own towels and take out your own trash, but that is how every condo I have ever stayed in is. "

"Me, my daughter,sister,mother,nieces,& grt niece came down on an all girl trip. It was a GREAT vacation for all of us. Not only was the resort a cool place for kids, it had a work out room for the grown ups. I don't know about summer months here, but coming down in Sept. (we were there with Gustav)was great. The ocean was closed for 2 days, but the beach was open with the sun shinning. Not to hot during the day & not to cool at night. No crowds,no drunks,no things being thrown from balcony, no fighting over pool chairs,plenty of carts to carry luggage up to room, the elevators worked properly with no waits, the beach was not crowded & there was no traffic. That's what I'm talking about!!!! NO RUSH - RELAX If you have kids that like water parks close to home. This is great for them. If you're an all beach/ocean like me, beach during the day & pool area at night when everything is lite up with colored lights."

"We go on at least one vacation per year and this has got to be the worst ever! After three different units were shown to us we had to settle on one that looked as though it hadn't been cleaned in weeks! Oh, and I must add that we asked for a layout of the room before we moved our things three times and they didn't have one or this was just too much for the guy to handle! The couch and comforter was stained. The bathroom doors didn't lock. We asked for clean towels and were informed that we must launder the ones we had. You take out your own trash and forget about somebody coming by to clean the room! Also, the elevators were down for hours one day as if they weren't bad enough already! You can get better service for a lot less money just about anywhere!"
