"We love the grounds and location of this hotel. Away from the ugly Panama city beach strip. It's so peaceful and quiet. The rooms might be a little old but ours was clean. Staff was very friendly. Bay view is a MUST. Across the bay you can see St Andrew national park. It's 10 minutes by car. We took our lunch (delicious sub from Publix right up the road) ans spent the day there. Beautiful beaches on the ocean, tons of deers, and it's also a bird sanctuary. Living just two hours away, it's the perfect getaway place for us. There are a few nice outdoor restaurants close by, the Boatyard just 5 minutes away and across the bridge going to Panama City St Andrew Marina, 20 minutes away, Uncle Ernie's and Gracie Rae. We will definitely go back."

"My husband and I stayed at Wyndham over the weekend. It was a great experience. The grounds were beautiful, the staff was hospitable. We were especially impressed with the staff at the Lime. all in all it was a great weekend - we would definitely go back!"

"The outside of the resort was beautiful, you can tell they take pride in it......but as for the inside well it is in need of a serious update and deep cleaning....I feel a guest would be a lot happier with a clean updated inside then the outside. They also say rooms with a balcony.....dont know what they consider a balcony but a hall linen closet has more room."

"After looking at numerous hotels/resorts in Panama City I decided to choose the Bay Point. I had stayed there years ago and was very satisfied. Upon returning, the resort is still a very nice area, however, lack of routine maintainence, and general upkeep has brought it down. My son and myself were looking forward to spending time using the pools and hot tubs. When going to the indoor pool the next morning, there were no pool towels to be found. (I should have known, as when I checked in the night before, someone was complaining at the front desk about lack of pool towels) Then when we went to use the hot tub, the jets would not come on. We were told that both this hot tub and the one outside have been broken for a while! We were told we could walk to the next complex to use the one there! Very disappointed how Wyndam has let the resort run down."

"Ok- I was very disapointed for reasons. 1. lighting was very poor near the pool areas. 2. We attempted to go to the beach however, even though the schedule stated to be at the pier at a certain time, they had left early. We had a toddler with us who was very upset and disappointed. When we finally attempted a second time it took 20 minutes to get to the secluded beach via boat ride (not a problem). There was no bathroom at the beach. The experience was nice. But I would rather stay at a Condo right on the beach for conviencience sakes. 3. Weaks DRINKS at the hotel! 4. The 4 th of July Fireworks disaplay the pier a were extremely disappointing. When we return next year, we will stay on the beach. 5. We wanted to rent jet ski's unable to do so at the secluded beach. There wasn't as much of a crowd at the secluded beach. Food was good however, expensive. There was the cutiest bunny that would show up several times a day eating the grass while visitors would come and go."

"I was so excited to stay at this resort. It looked wonderful on the internet. But I could not have been more disappointed. We were in a room that was so very small, it was only a little bigger than the king size bed. The bathroom also was tiny.....but that was not the reason I was so upset. We were in a connecting room, and of course the door was locked. But the connecting door was only a regular door, not a sound proof door or not even a double door. The people staying in the room next to us were yelling and screaming. We were trying to sleep, so after a little while, I was so upset, I banged on the wall to let them know they were bothering us. Well, that only made it worse....they starting screaming at their kids even louder blaming them for the noise. I finally called the hotel office and they sent up security. I would not blame the hotel for this EXCEPT that one of the problems was the walls were paper thin.....I could hear every word they said even when they were talking in a normal voice. I expect the walls to be that thin at a cheap hotel, not an expensive resort."

"What a joyful day to celebrate our 23rd Anniversary at the Wyndam Bay Point Resort. It rained, but there was so much to do at the resort. We got pedicures. Ate at the Lime Dock. It was beautiful on the water, watching the birds, boats and jet ski's. The resort was beautiful. Customer Service was wonderful. Every one was so polite."

"This was our second trip to Panama City. The resort was originally a Marriott and changed to Wyndham which appeared to be seamless. The resort itself is showing some signs of age and could use updating but all in all we were very pleased and would return."

"I was a bit nervous when I booked the room online because I wasn't sure what to actually expect. However, to my surprise the resort was awesome. This trip was mainly for my children and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The used the indoor heated pool majority of the time because it was a bit chilly for them outside. I also enjoyed the fact the resort offers complementary boat rides to Shell Island. This was an added bonus for my husband and I as we were able to escape the Spring Break noise of the main beaches and relax on Shell Island for several hours while the kids played."

"Our experience at this facilitiy was not a great one. The room was not available at 4 o'clock. We were not allowed to check in right away. The room was nothing like we expected. When asked if we could change rooms we were told to wait until a certain time and once the time came the room was no longer availabe to us. The rate for the room was unreal. For $179.00 a night and no breakfast was unheard off. We spend extreme sums of money when we travel. I would not recommend this service to anyone not even the rich and famous. If you are going to spend $179.00 per night stay somewhere that have more accomodations. Not a great experience will never book again. 4.5.12-4.8.12"

"far starters when we arrived around 4 pm our room wasn't ready and that started everything off wrong ........after getting into the room we found that there were two full size beds not the king size we were expecting. We stayed in the room over night and went to report our room condition to front desk We were told that we would be able to change rooms later that day after room service cleaned one for us , but when we went back to the front desk they said that we would have to stay another night in the room with the full size beds. At this point I really want a full refund"

"First time we stayed at this hotel--the pictures on the internet look better than the rooms actually do. The grounds were well kept, nice lobby and the staff was friendly. However, the rooms are dated, the ceiling fan was filthy (complained and housekeeping cleaned it). The A/C made a noise every 15 min. (which woke us up in the middle of the night), we told the front desk after the first night, and no one came to fix it. Thank goodness we only stayed 2 nights! Since it is off-season, the rate was great, but some of the restaurants were closed. Took 15 min. to get seated for breakfast (which was adequate - coffee was lukewarm) in an empty restaurant, after tracking down the restaurant manager."

"1st time i have stayed in hotel but have used other properties ay bay point in the past. also have dined at hotel several times in the past

Hotel is generic room. doors are not flush and space under doors. Elevators very slow. these are not issues that would keep me from returning but suggest fixing the doors
staff was outstanding and better than i remember. Room cleaning team was really good and food has always been above average

"My daughter and I stayed at Wyndham for a 'Purity' weekend. We had a great time. The facilities were in beautiful condition.
The only complaint I would give is that the tenants next to us were loud and drunk in the middle of the night (they were there for a wedding party), which has nothing to do with the facilities or the staff. Apart from this, we had a great time learning about Purity and my daughter's future in a beautiful environment..."
