"Wonderful condo but a nightmare trying to check in. Condo is privately owned and very nice but there was a $109 surcharge we weren't told about till we arrived. The check-in is at another location down the street and we got the run around for 20 minutes till we ended up in the right place. When we finally got checked in and located the room, the keys didn't work and we had to make the 10 minute trip back to the office down the street. Not a good way to start."

"When we first arrived I was very excited. Then as we settled in we didn't have a light in our bedroom, just one lamp in the corner which made the room very dark. Both bathrooms were very slow draining out of the tubs and sinks. We did not have any fitted sheets on any of the beds. They used flat sheets.The pull out sleeper sofa was awful! The mattress was extremely thin and you could feel the bars and springs. After about 3 hours of being in the room, we noticed our fridge was very warm and was not running properly. We had already bought groceries so we called to report it that night. Maintenance did not show up until the next day around lunch time. Overall our trip was good. The pool is amazing which is the main attraction in my eyes. "

"I loved my stay at the Shores of Panama. The room was huge and clean. We had a big balcony that overlooked the pool and ocean. Parking was great we didn't have any problems. The pool was clean and very big! The location was in the center of everything. Only thing I did not like was the wait time to get my room keys. We traveled 6 hours to get to the hotel and we left later than usual because check in was 4:30pm. Once we arrived we had to wait like a hour and a half before our room was ready. I did not like that because it was like a whole day waisted. Check in time should be alot earlier, instead of so late in the afternoon. And if it must stay at 4:30 please have the room ready for 4:30 not a hour and a half later."

"The Negatives:
Our booking arranged for an early check-in, but the resort was unaware of the arrangement, nor did they attempt to accommodate. Our booking was also for an ocean view, which the resort was also unaware of. They said we would be given one, then placed us on the first floor behind some palm trees. Eventually, after making some demands, we were given a similar room (right above the same palm tree) on the fourth floor. We could see the ocean at the side, but not directly. On Thursday night they played a movie for children by the pool, but it was some unknown, weird, hateful thing. What a terrible selection. You should also be prepared for waits on the elevators and for reserved parking up through the first four floors of the parking garage...don't know who those VIP's were, but it wasn't us.
The Positives:
We thought our room was clean, big, the pool was really nice, and so was the beach. There were good restaurants nearby, and also a Wal-Mart. The resort also made a strong attempt to provide security, which was very nice and appreciated."

"This was our first stay at Shores of Panama by The Resort Collection. We were very surprised at the quality of the room, the service,the ammonites, etc. The guests who rated this property poorly almost scared us off but we decided to give it a try. The elevators were slow at times but this was a huge resort and had 23 floors which was completely understandable. We stayed in a one br with bunks and the bunks were large and almost in their own 'bedroom'. The two bathrooms were great, we had everything like home and more! dishwasher, clothes washer, dryers, pots pans, blender,refrigerator, it was amazing! WE loved the pool it was huge and had a large kid area that was 1.5 feet almost like a wading pool. Our toddlers loved it and so did we. It was a low price comparable to a double beds only room that was not beach front! We had a great value, loved the properly and had a smooth check in and check out. I would come back in a hurry :) loved it!"

"Shores of Panama had potential to be a nice resort, with a nice pool and property. The main problems are that it was obviously not designed to have more than half of the units occupied at any one time. Not enough elevators on the property, we stayed on the 23rd floor and probably spent a total of 3 hours of our vacation waiting on elevators. The pool seemed well maintained, but if you want any chance of getting a seat around the pool deck you would have too get out there at 6am. There are signs stating 'Towels don't reserve chairs, people do', but I was laughing every morning from my balcony view down on the pool area of the many fathers of the other families staying at the resort that had staked claim to 4 or more chairs before 7am. The poor guys looked miserable down there waiting hours on the wives and children to get out of bed and finish breakfast just so they could have that treasured spot by the pool. I normally prefer the beach anyways, but it would be nice to have a place to sit and relax while watching my kids when they want to play in the pool. If you like to spend most of your time on the beach, it is an ok place to stay, just make sure you request a unit on the first or second floors. I personally will not be back."

"We checked in later at night and the first person we were in contact with was very rude and acted like he was bothered by us. Then when i went inside to check in I had to wait for over 10 minutes before the lady showed up (was outside smoking). I feel like there should have been more information about what all the hotel had to offer and the map of the facility should have been more detailed. The elevators were horrible!!!! Wasted alot of time waiting on them and they were so dirty and wet from people getting on them from the pool area but they were never maintained during the day. Also the kitchen was suppose to be fully equipped.....well it wasn't!! If having a blender means fully equipped then fine. The best thing about the motel was the pool - it was beautiful! Guess that's why that's the only pics posted..... I expected alot more for the amount of money paid. Will not return or recommend to anyone"

"I booked a condo that sleeps 6. When we arrived, the only living room furniture was a loveseat that seats two. We had to have additional furniture delivered, which the staff did upon request. The condo was not clean. The carpet was filthy. The elevators are SLOW!!! It was noisy at night, couldn't sleep. The parking garage is dangerous, cars speed in and out. The parking spaces are not designed for larger vehicles and I actually had to take up two spaces in order to open my car doors without hitting the vehicle next to me. If you park in only one space, you can barely open the door enough to exit your vehicle. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax and enjoy the beach, this IS NOT it. I will NEVER stay there again."

"Very surprised that the online pictures actually matched the Condo! All was very clean and looked new. Great views from each room! Above average in quality. I am a neat freak and an RN so it was a relief to have clean bedding and good mattresses. "This was my first visit to The Shores of Panama. Upon our arrival, we entered our condo and was completely overwhelmed by the smell of cigarette smoke. Since I am allergic to cigarette smoke, I immediatly went back to the lobby to request another condo. The staff was very accommodating and we were given another condo for our stay. Although the new condo did not wreak of cigarette smoke, it was not very nice. The carpet was stained everywhere, the walls were all scratched up, the kitchen floor was very sticky, there were drink wrappers behind furniture, etc. It was not what I expected for $250.00 per night. The parking garage was very small, barely able to fit your car in a space once you found one. Also, the elevator situation was unbelievable. Minimum wait time per elevator trip was 10 minutes. There were lines of people at all times of the day trying to ride the elevator. We were on the 20th floor, so we had no choice but to wait. Overall experience was very disappointing. I would not recommend this condo unless they cut the cost by at least 50%. The pools were wonderful, but that was about it."

"We checked in right after 10:00 pm. My condo had not been prepared so they put us in another unit, different floor.
The unit had very little in furnishings, had no glassware, we drank from coffee cups. The bed linen and pillows were of very poor quality. A little trash bin (one used for a powder room) for the kitchen.

"When we got there the check in was 4 hours late. When we got to the room and someone had used the toilet , not flushed it, and there was soap wrappers all over the bathroom counter. The third day there Staff Security failed and let in four men who were NOT guests of the property, who were causing a SCENE. "The condo was a beautiful piece of property. Lovely pools, nice balconey and ours was clean! However, the parking garage was a COMPLETE MESS...sorry. Cars were flying around an already tight situation, it just didn't seem to be designed very well. It served its purpose I guess. Also, I have to give the elevators a huge thumbs down. Yes they got us from point A to point B...but it took a while. Very slow elevators. The beach was always crowded with people and seaweed! Would I go back and stay there...yes but at a different time of year.:)"

"The condo has a great view and wonderful pool area. However, if you wanted to actually visit the pool you would need to get a chair by 8 am as people cover the chairs with towels and this seems to hold the chair all day -ridiculous. You rarely see anyone in the chairs until afternoon hours. The pool area is great but not large enough for the condo capacity. The condos alos put a large number of chairs for rental on the beach, not many people rent these and they simply take up room and the bach was packed. I have stayed at this condo a total of 3 times, the first two were great. This time was simply too crowded for enjoyment. I seriously don't think the elevators would pass city codes, there were way too many people staying at the complex for the elevators to accomodate the need. Overall, the place is nice but would not stay there again during the summer."

"Our stay may have been a little more enjoyable if we traveled earlier in the year. The ocean was completely full of seaweed. The resort itself was very nice although you could never find an empty chair by the pool. The staff was very friendly and had our room ready on time. Just an extra note, if you are staying for more than a couple of days and have more than two people in your party, you may want to take extra trash bags and dishwasher detergent. There was one replacement bag and two packages of dish soap. Hardly enough for eight people staying 5 days."

"I agree with some of the other comments about this property being very beautiful in the pool area and loved the zero entry pool area but the staff at the front desk needs to take some courtesy lessons. The nicest person we met there was a valet/bellhop and he was working for tips! The elevators were slow and whoever designed that parking deck sure missed the mark. You had to back up sometimes just to be able to go up or down a level. It would be a hassle to live there for sure. Glad we were just visiting! We only had one couch for seating in the living room area when we arrived (they eventually brought in two more chairs after we called twice). We had to get a vacuum to clean the carpets as there was trash all over them. Some of the chairs at the dining table had some kind of yellow sticky substance on them that we had to clean up. (We had to pay a $120 cleaning fee for that!!) No skillets or pots and pans. You could tell the 3 bedroom deluxe condo was just thrown together with some furniture out of a warehouse. Apparently, they can't sell these condos and are renting out the ones that haven't sold yet so very sparsely furnished. No upgrades as I had hoped. Was kept up one night by people hollering outside event though there was a 10:00 PM quiet time. Not enough places down by the pool to sit. I feel sorry for anyone that owns a unit there. I guess they have to just go and sit by the Gulf and forego the pool area. Very sad. The weather was nice and I did get to visit with my family. That is the only reason I put a 3 down for the overall experience. Not worth the amount of money we paid for this place."

"We stayed in #1324. The unit was larger than we expected so plenty of room. The unit had plenty of towels, dishes, silverware, etc... Decorated simply but nicely. The carpet could use a good cleaning, but I'd imagine it was due to heavy rental volume. The view was fantastic and the pool is awesome. I had an issue with my truck not being able to fit above the 5th level of the garage and the parking attendant was very helpful in finding us a space that was close and convenient. The elevators are slow and at times overfull, but with 23 floors and at prime summer vacation time it was to be expected. Pineapple Willy's was right next store so we walked over, which was nice because parking over there seems to be a major issue as they are very busy. We went out one night to let the kids look for crabs on the beach and the security guard was nice enough to let us know that a storm was coming in and we might want to stay close. All in all it was a great trip and plan on staying here for our next trip to Panama."

"The rooms were very nice. I loved the staff except for one thing. The elevators. The wait was forever and they made noise. They were so loud they sounded like there was a bearring going bad on the pulleys in fact the noise kept us awake at night. There were also a deposit fee and some charges that were not known until time of check in. I had to pay an additional fee that i did not know about."

"This unit 1308, was the most sparsely supplied condo that I have ever stayed in. This is also the most I have ever paid for a condo. You don't always get what you pay for. No kitchen trashcan, no plates, no bowls, no coffee cups, no sharp knife, no frying pan. Not much of anything in the kitchen. We also had no hot water for 2 of the 3 days that we were there. This unit was very clean. Quite a disappointment, as the past 2 years that we have stayed at the Shores of Panama, we had beautiful, well furnished units. The pool area is fabulous!"

"We had alot of problems this time, our key did not work to get into the parking lot. After going to shop for food , our key did not work to our room we had 150.00 dollars of food waiting for the maintenance man to show 2 hours later . There is only one maintenance man for six resorts. What is wrong with that. On one morning someone was using a hammer drill next door at 8 am could not sleep. Not happy need more elevators too."

"We had a WONDERFUL time at the Shores of Panama! Everything in the condo was brand new. Our room was HUGE. The staff was very polite. The complex was centrally located to everything. The elevator situation that everyone complains about was really not a big issue. The longest I ever had to wait for the elevator was 10 minutes. It was no big deal!!! I was not in any hurry because I WAS ON VACATION!!! Furthermore, the reviews about parking were ridiculous!!! There were plenty of parking spaces in the 12 floor garage. I think people never realized that there was an entrance at every level of the garage! In fact, we parked on the 11th floor ( so the car wouldn't get hot ) and took the stairs up one flight so there was no long wait for an elevator. Pay no attention to the negative reviews... People LOVE to complain!!

"We were very dissapointed in our stay at this location. We had made reservations the previous year and the condo was perfect. This place was filthy and definitely not well taken care of. First of all when we walked up to the door of our condo someone had urinated all over the wall in the entry way. The smell was so bad it would literaly make you want to vomit when you walked in or out of the condo. I told someone at the front desk but it never got cleaned. The room was so dirty. There was a layer of dust on the fans. The carpet was disgusting and I had to clean the tub myself before we could shower. The kitchen was barely stocked and did not have everything that we needed. For the money that I paid for this condo I expected much better. Had it not been a holiday weekend I would have found somewhere else to stay and DEMANDED my money back. There was also an elevator situation. We were on the 18th floor. There are 4 elevators total for the complex of 750 rooms. We waited at least 20-30 minutes to get on the elevator then it took us another 20-30 minutes to get to our room or to the ground floor. The elevator would stop on every floor even when no one was there. The elvators also were not air conditioned which made it quite uncomfortable for the amount of time that we spent on them. Every other guest on the elevator with us complained about the situation. Most of them said that they had complained but pretty much were told there was nothing that could be done. I feel like I literaly spent my whole vacation waiting for the elevator. Also the parking garage was horrible. Most of the spaces were reserved. the spots that were not had cement blocks as borders which were hard to get in and out of especially because most people would take up two spots. Also hard to get around the corners. Its a two way garage but not enough room for two cars. I was also unhappy with the damage fee. I could understand if they returned the money to you if there is no damage but otherwise it is like giving them free money. We paid over 2500 to stay in this resort and had to pay another 160.00 which we were not made aware of until we checked in. We will definitely never visit this location again. Truely horrible experience!!!!"

"When we arrived Tuesday night, July 3, we were checked in to our room. We were told that we had been upgraded to a deluxe...we thought this was great until we went upstairs. The room was great with all new stuff (still had tags) it just wasn't ready to rent yet. There were no plates, very little cook ware, no light bulbs, no water in one shower and no hot water at all in the place. I could deal with all but the hot water. I went down to the front and spoke with a very nice young lady who said she would put in a work order right away.
Some other things to mention are super slow elevators, good chicken fingers at the tiki hut but don't try to use your 10% discount....they don't honor it. The Pier Park Coupon book isn't good and when you go pick it up (at Pier Park) they try to sign you up for a timeshare presentation.
I think the vacation ended up pretty nice, but not for what we paid! Our vacation at Boardwalk last year was actually more fun (no hassels) and we had a much better view. The way this resort is built the views just aren't as nice as they should be, but the beds were great!"

"The pool is great and clean the faculty is very nice. Our room was terrible I have never paid $400.00 a night for a room that was half ready to rent when we got there. We had no TV in the living room no water to the washer until the day before we left no light bulbs in any of the fixtures no hot water in one of the bath rooms and the same bathroom the tub dripped all the time. When the maintanance guys did show up they were very nice. They just need to make sure the rooms are rent ready when you put some one in them"

"Carpet was horribly nasty/stained. Bedroom lighting was limited to 1 lamp and ceiling fan only, no light and stains all over walls. Cable would go on and off and internet not available in room. Parking deck was a nightmare, cars meeting around turns going in opposite directions could not pass at the same time, one would have to back up in order for other to pass. Pool was awesome as usual and sheets were clean.........Pay a little extra and rent. "

"We arrived and were put into a very nice 3BR 3Bath newly renovated condo. However, after hauling all of our things to the 23rd floor, which takes forever because of the elevators and how big the resort is, we realized we did not have 1 trashcan or even a trashbag in the entire condo, nor did we have enough plates, silverware or glasses for 6 people. No pans and very little cooking supplies. Also noticed the water smelled like sulphur. Reported all of this to the desk (Resort Collection desk--there are 2 companies that manage this property) and they said they would notify maintenance. Several hours later we had heard nothing and the guy at the front desk said they probably wouldn't get around to us until the next day. Then while my daughters were in the shower/bath both of the bathrooms water turned black and smelled awful. We immediately got them out with shampoo in their hair and my husband and I went downstairs to tell them what was going on. After 8:00 there isn't anyone from the Resort Collection on property and the other management property cannot do anything for anyone that booked with the Resort Collection or to their rooms. So they notified the manager and maintenance. We waited for over an hour and nobody showed up. Finally went downstairs and asked if my daughter could at least rinse the shampoo out of her hair somewhere and they told her she could go to the outside shower by the pool. Just then the maintenance guy showed up and took a look at it and told us that apparently there is a lawyer that came in and bought 300 condos that had not been sold and is renovating them. The condo we were in was on of them and they hot water tank was new and had not been cleaned out. They moved us to another room which was a huge hassel because we had just went to Walmart and bought 5 days of groceries so we had to move all of our things (2 adults 4 kids) and all of our groceries at 11:30 at night. We were told by the maintenance man that he would offer to help us move but had to check several other issues with units. If it weren't for him, we wouldn't have even been moved to another room. So we were very thankful for him. Hate to be a complainer, but this was our only family vacation this year and it was very stressful. Some things to mention: elevators are very slow and it takes forever to get on one, it is very hard to find pool chairs as people put their towels on them early in the morning and leave them there all day even if they are at the beach, the beach is VERY crowded and the staff in not very friendly and act like they are bothered if you approach them. The manager did say he would refund our money for the 1st night but haven't seen in come thru on credit card yet and did offer me a massage but we were leaving the next day. We came across at least 5 other families that were having to move rooms because of maintenance problems."

"Nice size living room and bed room, pool and beach area very nice. Now my issues: The towel rack, and the toilet paper holder were broken off the wall. No place to hang towels. The closet door in the bedroom was off the hinge and fell and hit my daughter in the head the first night and had no cable for the first day.
Very displeased with overcharges @ check-out. Watch out for all of the add on charges.
The bathrooms were very small. I paid extra for a 'deluxe' condo and saw pictures of nice condos with garden tubs, so assumed that's what we would get since we paid the top dollar amount. They also stated the deluxe condos were new, but this one wasn't. All in all, we enjoyed our stay, but I don't think I would stay here again.

"The pool was beautiful and the staff at the pool bar were friendly and efficient. The room was very nice and clean but didn't have even a roll of paper towels, coffee filters or dish detergent! We spent most of our time on the beach, where the rental of beach chairs was $40 ... this on top of over $250 a night for a room. There were only 4 individual elevators for the 720 unit complex and 1 was broken until the last day of our visit. We requested and were given a 2 hour later checkout time but when we returned to our room to pack up the keys had expired and we had to return to the desk for new ones - from the 11th floor any trip down and back took over 20 minutes! Outrageous cleanup fee over $100 on top of the $45 'damage fee' assessed on arrival - for a couple of neat 60 yr old women this was like free money. Next time will stay somewhere else!"

"We really loved it here. Yes, there are extra fees, but we read all the fine print and were prepared for that. The pool and beach were beautiful, although it was very difficult to get a lounge chair next to the pool. Inconsiderate people would put their towels on a chair and then leave for hours. The staff was very nice. Some of the negatives: the kitchen wasn't very well equipped. We had the bare necessities but lacked things like a pitcher and cookie sheet. We had no internet in our condo. There was a wired internet jack and ethernet cable, but it didn't work. When we asked about it, we were told the owners must not have internet for that unit. Don't know why they would have ethernet cables and no internet. There was wireless available by the pool. You do have to keep a wristband on to go to the pool area and beach, but that was no problem for us.
The bathrooms were very small. I paid extra for a 'deluxe' condo and saw pictures of nice condos with garden tubs, so assumed that's what we would get since we paid the top dollar amount. They also stated the deluxe condos were new, but this one wasn['t. But, all in all, we enjoyed our stay and would probably stay here again if we were able to get a good price."

"Reserved this condo through an agency and found out when we got there we would be treated second class compared to if we booked through the Oasis Resorts which maintained the front desk and a majority of the condos at the Shores. Upon arrival, we were directed outside from the front desk to a hut with one attendant to check us in. We proceeded to the room and none of the keys opened the door. Called the hut and they wanted us to come down for re-key. Did that and still didn't. Waited outside door for 30 minutes until maintenance arrived and let us in. This key problem existed until the day before we left. For a two bedroom, sitting area wasn't adequate. No wireless in room nor did network cable work, so no internet. All day on Friday, we had to listen to kiddy Kareoke at the pool. Little kids singing top 40 kareoke. Nice resort but this visit is not on our list to re-visit,"

"We stayed four nights(June12-15,2012). Room and accommodation was sub par at best. The sofa sleeper had a air mattress which the pump to inflate was broken! Requested replacement pump several times and never received one. Therefore sofa sleeper was useless to fold out into a bed!!! My son sleep on the sofa cushions which was very uncomfortable with a limited sleeping area!!
Dining area did not have a table eating area,only a bar which would not seat everyone to eat at the same time.
Master bedroom had a bed spread which looked like a white cheap hospital cover.
Overall, not a pleasant experience and very overpriced for value received.
We stayed last year at Boardwalk and received a much better value and certainly a better facility. Pool area was the only bright spot this condo has to offer!! Parking was very tight and difficult!!!!!!!! Unpleasant stay and will n0t return"

"The nicest amenity was the pool. My kids loved the pool. Parking is a bit of trouble. We stayed on the 19th floor and parked on the 6th( first five floors had a lot of reserved spaces). The elevators are very slow and one was out of order. Our room had a funky odor. One toilet did not flush and after two maintenance workers 'fixed it', it still did not flush. We used one toilet our entire stay. There was no linens for the pull out sofa. I had to ask for some and then they did not bring a blanket, so they had to bring one later. Not enough kitchen utensils or any extra pans. Over all very disappointed!!"

"As a family who lives only 5 hours away from Panama City Beach, we have visited often and have stayed in a lot of resorts, condos and hotels along the main strip and Thomas Drive. We were excited about staying at this relatively new 'resort'.
Before leaving though, I was already disappointed in the outrageous fees for cleaning and the 'damage waiver fee' that was not refundable even if you leave the room as you found it but we decided that this was just a necessary evil in this area. Arriving at the hotel just at check in time, I stood in line for over 25 minutes at the main desk only to find out that customers who booked through a 3rd party had to check in outside in a tiki hut behind the bellboy/valet stand. I was a little embarrassed and felt a lot like a second class citizen. This theme continued throughout my stay. when my card for the parking garage wouldn't work, the main desk would not help.
The room was cheaply furnished and poorly decorated. The bathroom sink and counter in the master bath was 2' wide total- seriously. We found damage in our room. It was never repaired and for three nights we could not shut the bathroom door or lock the sliding glass balcony doors. The view from the balcony, however, was fabulous.
I used the pool which was nice but crowded from about 10 til 5. I don't know what they will do when this hotel is booked up and the units are all sold. The bartenders at the pool bar were great. I tried several times to use the 20% off coupon that was included in the booking but in three days I never saw the spa open. I didn't have the chance to try the restaurant.
I checked out this morning around 8:15 am and had to leave my keys at the main desk (they begrudgingly took them). they couldn't give me a receipt though.
There are much better hotels/ condos on the beach when you consider the fees round the price out to about $300 a night."

"We live close to Panama City Beach and due to high school sports, we travel a lot and have stayed in many of the PCB condos before - as well at the Shores of Panama. Our previous stay was not as disappointing as this one. Upon arrival and entry to the unit, housekeeping had left the tile floors (kitchen and baths) with a sticky residue (our shoes stuck to it) - which required that we mop the floors again ourself. Second, while the accomodations were 'nice' and the one bedroom with 2 bunks indicates you can sleep 2-6 people - you cannot actually SEAT 6 people in the living area without using the hard table chairs or bar stools (i.e., not enough couch or chair seating for 6). Most frustrating was that it was NOT a fully-equipped kitchen as there was NO coffee maker, only 2 coffee cups, no dish drainer and no bottle opener. We contacted the resort directly and the personnel at the kiosk (specifically about coffee pot) but because we booked through an agency, the resort will NOT help you and the people at the kiosk had no idea how to. We had to go to the local Walmart and buy a coffee maker and bottle opener, and we were not happy about that at all. Other items lacking in the unit were a local phone book, channel guide (or a TV with one), minimal bath towels and no extra blankets. At the pool area, it is evident that there are not near enough chaise lounge chairs (the nice kind) as we ended up sitting in an old (and it looked it) lounge chair on the grass area. While there is background music at the pool, there was no type of live music or integrated day activities - like next door at the Laketown Wharf - and it would be a nice benefit to guests for staff to offer more food opportunities at the pool area as the sandwich shop was rarely available. Last, the parking was terrible. There are so many 'reserved' spaces that we spent a lot of time looking for a free space. If you are staying in say, unit #1000 and you know that because you are there - the owners are NOT - why can't guests utilize that reserved space for unit #1000? It is understood that the owners 'paid' for that space, but they 'paid' for the unit as well and they are getting a good dollar for guests to use it. The parking situation made no sense whatsoever. We love PCB and will return, but the Shores really needs to work on the above quality control issues that we have not experienced at neighboring resorts."

"I had a great time. We stay there with my son and a friend and they enjoy the bunks beds. The elevators were slow but I was not in a hurry. My goal was to relax for a few days.
I will recommend it to anyone. It was close to supermarket and to other attractions.
Wireless Wi-Fi was only available in the lobby, if you wanted connection to the internet you need to bring your own Ethernet cable. It will be nice if they say something about in the description.

"We had a 1 bedroom with bunks and it worked out great. It was me and my husband wtih our 2 teenagers and a friend. We were able to check in quicker than the other people arriving since we went through an agency and you check in at the kiosk instead. We knew there were additional fees due at check in because I actually read all the terms and conditions when I made the reservations. It was worth paying the extra fees just having our own bathroom in our bedroom. The 2nd bath is actually a 3/4 bath having a stand up shower. Both bathrooms had hairdryers and yes there is a coffee pot. The Maxwell House filter packs work great for traveling. Yes the elevators were pretty slow, but there are 23 stories so what do you expect. You're on vacation, relax, enjoy, and don't be in such a hurry. We brought all our own food for breakfast and lunch then went out for dinner. We went to Pineapple Willy's twice which is right next door. Food and service was great. We went between 4 & 5 and didn't have to wait. Also went to Hungry Howies Pizza and Subs across the street which was really good also. Overall the condo was great. I loved having all the extra room and not having to climb over all the kids stuff. Having the washer and dryer was great also not having to go home with wet suits and towels(I also brought a bottle of detergent). They don't dry well outside with the air being so moist. The pool area is great. It never seemed too crowded and the view of the beach was great. Because it's not like a regular hotel, I liked that I didn't have to worry about the cleaning people coming while we were gone. Definitely will stay here again when we come back."

"My stay was only for 3 nights, which ran me $563, upon check in I was charged an additional $40, 'insurance' fee and a $95 cleaning fee, both nonrefundable! From a distance, the property is beautiful, and the same could be said from my condo. However, upon closer inspection the carpets and walls were stained, the spread on my bed had not been washed, and light bulbs were missing from light sockets. I had a hard time getting the front desk on the phone, and the elevators were terrible! I had a one bedroom condo on.the 20th floor, so imagine my wait times. Check out was at 10 am, the slow elevators made this even slower. At 10:09 am, a young girl rang our doorbell to ask of we were checking out or not, I told her yes. She then ask, 'how much longer?' I told her just as soon as we could actually load all of our things. That only rubbed me the wrong way, because no one was rushing to get me checked in! The parking garage is made for only compact cars I'm sure of it, and many of the parking spots are reserved already. Over all, Shores of Panama is nice, for what I ended up paying for just 3 nights, I should have gotten more! The views are beautiful and its mostly a nice place. If I realized, I was going to end up paying so much, I would have just chosen a nice beach front hotel."

"Once my family arrived at this conco, we had to return to the front desk three different times in order to have our room key reset. The staff had to then come to our room to reset the key from the outside. My family, along with a 8 month old baby had to sit outside in the heat to wait for the staff. Once the keys worked, we got inside and settled. The couch was AWFUL!!! You could feel the springs once the couch was let out. To top it off, the master bedroom bed was so hard that my husband and I would have rather slept on the floor!! The pillows had feathers actually coming out of them. Then to top it off, when we attempted to get onto the beach, the staff told us we needed to go back inside to obtain armbands that were not given to us as we checked in. This took more time out of our day and we had to drag the kids along with us. Very confusing to the individuals checking in!! For the money, this hotel was not worth it. Beware that you will also have to pay an additional $100 for a cleaning fee and damage fee that is nonrefundable!!"

"No doubt the elevators are extremely slow (10 min wait at times). The parking deck took almost as long to enter/exit. We arrived and then discovered at night we had no hot water in either shower. Our ice maker we noticed next am had not been hooked up, so we had no ice. You can pay for ice in the lobby, and said there was nothing they could do in the mean time to offer us any ice. We called that night repeatedly. Front desk usually did not answer. Voice mails left to the Resort Collection, and the Oases management side were never returned. We asked next am if there were showers in another unit, or gym/spa. We were told no. The Manager never returned our repeated messages left over our 5 day stay. Maintenance finally arrived the next day to fix both problems; however, we spent everyday trying to contact management. In the end, we were offered less than 10% credit for a 5 day trip that cost $1200 for the inconvenience. If you didn't grab a share by the pool before 9am, you wouldn't get one all day. The pool was extremely crowded. The pool boys were disrespectful as well."

"I love it! It is stunning and the pool is t die for. They have a great kids activity program and Karokee. However, I always rent from a private owner and her condos (4 total) are immaculate, beautifully decorated and stocked well. The elevator situation is my only complaint, and the last time I was there, they were still in the middle of construction, which got a bit noisy. I don't know if it has been completed or not. I would recommend to anyone, and in fact, always do. I don't know if I would rent from the resort itself,they are very accomodating. And Pineapple Willies is right next door. This is the only place I now stay in PCB, and I love it."
