The room was beautiful and quiet. The property was still very scenic regardless of the renovations. The room was quiet and very clean, just wish there was a microwave. We will definitely be visiting again and I would recommend this property to anyone (:

I've played the Meadows course twice and will play it at least once more before we leave the end of Feb. The course is challenging for a mid level (high 80's to low 90's) player. The course is fair in that if you keep out of trouble you can score well, especially given there are 4 sets of tee boxes. The fairways are a bit tight in many places and a number of holes have dog legs which makes you think about club selection so as not to hit it through the dog leg. The greens are in pretty good s... Pros: -Boardwalk was beautiful and private for only people at the resort. -Spa area looked incredible. -I know timing is key, but if there wasn't any rain the golf resort area looked very appealing. -Mini-fridge -Spacious -Comfy bed Cons: -I know this time of year (March 2016) leads to a lot of amenities not being accessible, but I felt almost disconnected from anything in the area. We stayed in villas away from the main office due to the construction on property. I read reviews after seeing... Read more

While the staff was very nice, most of the amenities of the resort were either under renovation or closed. One golf course was completely closed, while the other was only able to open 14 holes due to massive rains the week before. The suite was very dated. It was very tricky getting the door to open in the room--you needed to turn the door handle up, not down. Parking near rooms was inadequate, causing us to park far away from our room when we returned in the evening. The towels were so thin... Read more

We stayed for 3 nights and we booked it because the rate was really reasonable. I knew it was under construction when we came. They are doing major renovations. We stayed in the Doral villas. People, understand if you can't afford $120 or more a night... Don't expect to have a room like a high price or rating resort. But this place was pleasant. The only complaint we had was that our sheets were somehow dirty when we got in the room and the carpet when you walked in was nasty. It smelled old. Bu... Read more

this place creeped me out big time. I was in town for a business trip and thought i was booking a normal hotel room at a Sheraton on the water via the information from my companies booking site- WRONG!! I showed up and place is totally under construction and was given a room on bottom floor of a grungy Villa. The place was filthy. Also it was not a location I felt comfortable staying on the first floor given there were construction workers and seedy location so I requested a room on higher floor... Read more

While on a recent trip, we found ourselves in Panama City Beach and in need of a room for the night. We arrived at the Bay Point Golf Resort and Spa and spent 20 minutes trying to find the check-in area. Lots of renovations going on and locations are not clearly marked. Finally found the check-in area and still spent too long getting into a room. The young man on duty was not very accommodating and we waited while he took other phone calls before attending to us. The room itself has great p... Read more

My husband surprised me with a birthday getaway from the kids and I was so excited. His plans were to take me to the resort, let me relax at the spa and enjoy jet skis since I have always wanted to do it. We had to work that day and get our kids situated at the sitter so we didn't arrive until after dark. Upon arriving we noticed construction and had to drive around until we finally found the check in area. It was in a scary part of the resort because of construction and the guy told my husb... We chose Bay Point for the convenience of its location. It isn't by all the traffic and noise but it's close enough to everything that getting around isn't a daunting task. Granted the resort is a little old and the buildings are showing their age which is evident as soon as you pull in and see the main hotel is under what appears to be a full renovation. Check in has been moved to accomodate, which for me, was a bit tough to find. If you go you'll wonder why, as do I. Anyway the second floors ... Read more
