"We were a bit concerned about this place after reading the negative reviews but I have to say we were pleasantly surprised. Our room was clean, the staff was friendly, the beach very nice and Bob's Bikini Bar near the hot tubs had great prices. The one caveat that seemed to catch many people off-guard at check-in was the REQUIRED, NON-REFUNDABLE damage deposit and cleaning fee. While those costs are listed, you have to dig VERY hard to find them. I would certainly stay here again - but would factor the damage deposit and cleaning fee into my decision."

"Please reconsider booking here just becasue you are trying to save money. We were assessed a Spring Break fee upon check in, which is standard and I understand but there was no negotiating eventhough I was there with my wife and 7 year old daughter for her School Spring Break...$140! When we arrived the hotel was in much need of an update and is well past it's prime. They did try to clean up after each day but as the old asying goes, 'You can't polish a turd'. Upon entry to our room we had to fill out a damage sheet making sure that any damages previously there were not casued by us. I did so, right down to the scratches on the wall and especially what appeared to be a fist sized hole in the master bedroom. I returned the sheet as instructed within 30 mins to the front desk and exactly one month later I received a $140 charge to my credit card. I called their accounting department and they said it was a damage charge and sent me to department that repaired and assessed damages that to no suprise did not answer and I had to leave a message. We thought we were saving money but they are trying to take us for a total of $280 which was 3/4 of our entire stay! We will never stay at this 'Resort' again and would ask that anyone thinking of doing so to reconsider unless you are a bunch of highschool or college students in that case you don't mind staying somewhere on the cheap to have a good time. Becasue it is definately cheap, definately dirty and if they are trying to take a couple of college grads and their daughter imagine what kind of cash they could try to get out of you...or mom and dad!"

"Could't ask for anything better for the price!Room was very spacious,nice,and clean.
great view of the beach and pool.could hear the live music from the restaurant next door from the balcony which was nice.bring laundry detergent,will need to wash your towels. 2 for staff friendliness because we called and ask if there was an ice machine and they got smart with us and said 'this wasn't a hotel'.but other condos we stayed at had them.overall great place to stay!"

"We arrived at the Summit on 4/8/2013 our departure date was 4/12/2013. we had rented the condo for 2 bedrooms two baths. We got there and there was a problem with the unit we were going to be in so they put us in a different one. We went there and it was only 1 bedroom with 2 bunks. Well that wasn't going to work so I go back down stairs and tell them . They then were going to put us in another unit and befor I could even get back to the room we were at they called said there was a problem with that unit also so we were put in yet another unit. The unit was ok not anything like I expected for the money we had to pay.
We paid for 4 nights and when we arrived we were charged another $163.00 for cleaning and damages so they say.
Well the TV in the living room had no picture, the other two tv;s were so snowy that you could hardly watch them and our husbands did not go to the beach becouse of the sun exposure. There was no broom in the unit to sweep. We only had the towels we initially had when we arrived ,had to wash them to have one for the whole stay.Only had toilet paper what was in the unit when we arrived.I cannot believe this place. We have stayed all over and never have had to do this.
On top of all this I received a letter in the mail on 4/26/2013 that there were sofa spills and stains in the unit. I promise you there was nothing there when we left. I would not reccommend this place to anyone for any reason. This is outrageous.The place wasn t worth that. I am very disappointed and as of today you can tell I am very angry about it.
We are Seniors and we would never damage any property anywhere. I treat anyone else's property just like I treat mine.

"The price value was good for a 3 star hotel. The staff was very nice and tried to be accommodating. The unit I rented had very outdated furniture, bed was uncomfortable, recliner was broken, dishes were dirty even though they were placed with clean dishes and utensils and the carpet was completely filthy, really really filthy.

To the credit of the staff, they took care of it immediately, sent someone to vaccum it and order someone to clean it. While this took up much of an entire day of our stay, with the carpet being wet much of that day, the staff worked with me to extend our stay for an extra day, since we have an emergency and had to check in a day late. The customer service onsite was surperb. They tried to make the stay a pleasant one and I would choose good customer service over a pristine location with bad service any day. So I would recommend this property foe anyone looking for a good bargain with staff that doesn't treat you like a 3rd rate location.

As mentioned above, the staff onsite at the property was very helpful and accomodating but was limited in what they could do. If you want a good bargain, go directly to the property. After this experience

If you don't have a problem, the service is fine, but if you travel a lot, you know that things do not always go as planned. "
