"The Condo was nothing special. There were bugs in the sofa/sleeper. The waterpark was too small. The price offered on the website is not what you end up paying. Beware! There was an advertised special for get a 4th night free. I never saw it on my bill. ."

"The outside makes you think your staying in a 5 Star hotel, but the staff was less than welcoming. I thought wow Im getting a wonderful deal, well as I entered to get keys, bands etc I was told you have to have a credit card on hold the only charge would be a cleaning deposit of $45.00 however, my card was charged over 6 times for several 'fees' which put a fraud alert on my acct, and I had to call family to get them to send us money. Im just beyond upset about this, and I just want other people to really read to look at the 'fine' print! I thought all the charges were taking care of well I guess NOT!!!"

"We stayed at this resort 4 nights at the end of July. We arrived later than expected but to our surprise their lobby office was still open. Check in took all of 2 minutes. Parking is accross the road, but a nive air-conditioned walkway makes it easy to get to the condo. The condo is seperated into East and West towers. Our room was a 2-bedroom unit on the 20th floor of the West tower. It was a nice sized unit with a huge master bedroom. The unit was nice and clean, but not as nice as others I have stayed in for the same price. The bathrooms had tubs, but not jacuzzi's. The walls needed paint, furniture needed repainting/repair, the carpet was stained, the fans in the bathrooms didn't work. Little things but they add up. Our children LOVED the pools! There are 3 pools, a waterpark, a lazy river, and a hot tub. The waterpark was smallish but they didn't care. It was very cool, but not cold like others have stated. The hot tub was always crowded. The pool next to it was cold. The second pool, third pool, and lazy river were all warm. The lazy river was small and crowded, but fun none the less. The beach...oh the beach. CROWDED. Terribly crowded. I am not a fan of the rent-a-chair things. There were the normal chair rentals, then lawn chair rentals in front of those. By the time everyone packed in there were umbrellas 3 deep by 10 a.m. Another small thing worth mentioning. The kids had a blast, the adults not so much."

"weather was great. ocean was clear. free of seaweed and jellyfish. which we usually encounter this time of year. the resort itself was not worth the money. i had no idea at a resort i would have to wash my own washcloth and towels. no maid service for fresh sheets. which at a sandy beach no matter what you do sand will get in the bed with small kids. i had to buy trash bags and toilet paper unexpectedly. there again staying at a resort for the price i paid i should have had all the things mentioned. the indoor pool with the small water area and the hot tub was ice cold. i will ask from now on when booking a resort if all these things are included. the sterling splash resort should say in advertising we do not furnish toilet paper, trash bags,room safe or maid sevice. if all sterling resort,hotels etc are like this i will not stay at any of them. i am not the only guest that was caught off guard with having to buy these things other guest i talked to was unhappy with that also"

"I rented a two bedroom unit at the Splash resort, for the month of February, 2012, and noted when renting that my sister and her husband would be with me. Due to some medical problems and conflicting schedules, we were not able to arrive at the condo until the evening of the 9th of February. Upon our arrival the security person was helpful in finding us our condo. Upon entering the condo, even before unloading our suitcases, I noticed dirty dishes in the kitchen sink. We had not used them. Because of our long drive we decided to order pizza in for dinner that night. Much to our surprise, the phone didn't have dial tone. Then, when I attempted to connect to the internet with the username and password given to me on my printed agreement, I couldn't. When I contacted the internet company I was told that it wouldn't be connected until April. There were only a few dishes in the cupboards, the pans were old and few of them, no cookies sheets, only 3 glasses other than wine glasses, the carpet is dirty, so is the upholstery, the slipper chair in the living area has a big tear in it. The lamp and clock in the second bedroom did not have an outlet close by to plug it in, and with the setup in that bedroom, no room to change anything to make it work. The drain in the main bathroom didn't drain. The tables are scratched and worn, probably because there wasn't any placemats or anything to put a wet or hot glass or cup on. There wasn't any mattress pads on any of the beds. All in all, this unit doesn't look like it has had any TLC in a long time. By the way, when I complained about the phone, I was told it wouldn't be connected until March. (Strange, since I paid for the month of February). I will say that when I was able to contact the maintenance person, he sent someone over to work on the air conditioning, and when we went out to eat, a complete set of dishes and pots and pans was delivered to the unit. At that time I was given a way to connect to the wifi. Having the wifi was one of the reasons I chose this place to begin with. I most definetly do not feel that the unit was worth what I paid for it. I would hope that some money will be spend on cleaning and replacing some of the carpet and furniture."
