"This was one of the dirtiest places I have stayed at. I felt like I was at an old run down dorm room. Floors were filthy, not sure when they washed the blanket last, I had hair on the bed when pulling back the comforter. Walls were dirty, found dirty sock, change left behind from a previous occupant. The fitness center very hot and broken equipment. Elevator system extremely slow."

"I was disappointed from start to finish. The staff was rude, difficult & completely unhelpful. The entire hotel was filthy. I was given one hour to check-in (across the street from my hotel!!) & rush across the street to my hotel room with a full page checklist/inventory of room items to complete & bring back across the street to the office or I would be charged a penalty fee. My children & I had to wear armbands & there would be a $50 charge if these armbands were lost. We were unable to use the elevator the entire 4 days that we were there (and we were on the 5th floor!!) due to the fact that it was always full of foul-mouthed spring breakers! We would wait for sometimes 15 minutes for the elevator until we would end up taking the stairs up & down every time. The whole hotel was just nasty & smelled terrible. The rooms were nothing special & the phone didn't work so, I ended up having to use my cell phone to get in touch with the office! We had to call the office via my cell phone to request a roll of toilet tissue & a couple of towels, we stayed 4 days & our room was never cleaned or restocked but were charged for all of those things. We were given a checklist of things to do before checkout that included taking sheets off the beds & collecting trash cans & placing them next to the door, I was appalled that I had to 'work' on my vacation that I had to pay for! Lastly, we were awakened 2 hours before checkout & told that we had missed checkout! I will never visit this hotel again & I will not encourage any of my friends or family to either...

"I thought the unit was very nice! I was disappointed that our ocean view was from the side also overlooking a trailer court. The pool area was very nice, cool the way it was on the fourth floor overlooking the ocean. The public areas (lobby, elevators) were very dirty and needed some major remodeling. The elevators were also very, very slow. The beach was a short walk across the street. For the price, I thought it was a great deal overall."

"The comforter on the bed was dirty, we asked for clean towels all day and didn't get them until the end of the night. We could not get through to the front desk and didn't see one cleaning person the whole time we there until the morning we checked out, then she banged on our door at 8:00 am and said it was check out. When I told her we don't check out until 10:00, she realized we were there as a family and not spring breakers. We also ran out of toilet paper and if I hadn't packed extra TP and towels we would have been out of luck. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. It may look nice on the outside but the inside and the customer service was terrible!"

"THIS PLACE WAS DISGUSTING!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY OH WAIT ITS NOT $69 YOU PAY BTW ITS $190 W/ ALL THE FEES!! You pay $60 for cleaning OMG the air freshner they use triggered a migraine instantly. The carpet was gross, red & blac stains I wouldn't even take my shoes off. The air freshner was so bad when I got home my clothes still smelled like it. Went to take a shower used shampoo bottle in the room went downstairs you checked in across the street you have to go over there. Doors close to elevators. Staff was awful key didn't work to room and maintainence said DOORS WERE EASY TO PICK AND BREAK INTO but I have a key to open for you and then go get batteries for you. Made me feel 'real safe' NOT! The beach is cleaner and safer to sleep at than this place. I WOULD NEVER EVER GO HERE AGAIN. SAVE YOUR MONEY UNLESS YOU WANNA CATCH DISEASE FROM CARPET. I WISH I COULD UPLOAD THE PICS TO SHOW YOU B/C CLEARLY THERES ARE PHOTO SHOPPED."

"The hotel stay started off on the negative side. We had to call about a dirty blanket on the bed..We requested a change of linens for the entire bed and extra towels. Four (4) calls had to be made before this was corrected. we had made sure that the room included a full kitchen and a balcony facing the ocean. Upon our arrival neither request was honored. We were led to believe that our reservation included both. We were told there would be an additional charge plus additional fees for cleaning and damage. Upon further inquiry, we found out that if we had booked our reservation directly with the Origin we would have not only saved money but have had truly hotel service. Will visit Panama City again"

"We arrive to friendly staff at check in. Once we got to our room the room was spacious but dirty. The carpet was filty, the room was musty and smelled really bad. I was shocked! The bed linen was dirty and had staines on the sheets. They were obviously dirty based on the smell so I had to go to walmart to get washing powder and wash all the linen. I can not believe that this place looked so clean on the outside and in the lobby but the room was not up to standard. The dinning room table was missing a chair and a bar stool. I reserved a two bedroom and the second bedroom was the same. The carpet was filty and had something sticky on most of the floor. Sheets unclean and smelled bad. We made the best out it because after checking in trying to get someone on the phone was like pulling teeth. You call and they put you on hold for 30 minutes or so. There is no wireless and the ethernet cable did not work. Bad experience and will never stay again!"

"I had high expectations since I was at Origin once before (3 yrs ago). Then, I was so impressed that I even entertained the idea of buying a one bedroom condo. I am so glad I didn't. This time, the place looks rundown and the common areas were badly kept. I rented a one bedroom ocean view for 3 people and the sleeping sofa did not even have linen. When I asked for linen they were unapologetic and they did not give me a pillow. The unit did not have washer and dryer either.nI have to say though, that Kat, at the Origin check in counter was very nice and helpful. She represented the company well."

"Our stay was a disaster to say the least. The condo is owned by two different companies which was confusing. Upon entering our room, my kids picked up nasty cigarette butts that were left all over the balcony. The door handle on one of the inside doors was completely broken. The dvd player was not hooked up and the remote was missing batteries. After requesting new batteries, they never came. The turn in linen service, which specifically states it is for both towels AND sheets, was a mess. We turned in both, and only got towels in return. When I called about this I was told the service was actually only for towels so we were waiting for sheets to be brought to us after 9pm with two tired kids. The towels must have been bought on special from the dollar general store, along with the 150 thread count sheets. The walls are scuffed and the carpet is so nasty I had my children wear their sandy flip flops indoors at all times. The room, which was non-smoking, reeked of smoke. The coupon book we were told we would recieve actually had to be gotten from peir park, not from check-in. I called the front desk numerous times and no one ever picked up, for each problem I ended up walking across the road to get some service. We will not be staying here ever again."

"From the Begining: The check in was confusing. The condo building is actually owned by two different companies with two different check-in places. Upon arriving in our room, my children promptly picked up cigarette butts left all over the balcony. The door knob going into the bathroom was broken to the point of not functioning. The room (non-smoking) reeked of smoke. The DVD player was not hooked up and the remote did not have batteries. I called the check in manager only to get no response. They never showed and I ended up taking batteries from my son's toy in order to work the dvd player. The carpet was stained and the walls were very scuffed. The pull-out matress was a joke.The 4 seater table only had 3 chairs. The shower was fine, as long as you aren't expecting enough water pressure to do anything crazy.. like wash your hair. The towels must have been bought on special from the dollar general store, along with the 150 thread count sheets. The turn-linen service specifically states on the information sheet it is for towels AND sheets. I turned in both and only got towels in return. When I called the front desk (yet again) I was told the service was actually only for towels. By the time I realized I hadn't recieved what I turned in, it was after 9pm and my two kids were cranky waiting on someone to deliver sheets we should have had to begin with. The 'coupon book' you should recieve has to be picked up from pier park, don't expect it upon check in. If you stay here, you'll have a lovely trip.. as long as you have low expectations and spend your time on the beach."

"My experience wasn't very good. the efficiency condo turned out to be a very cheaply furnished room with no place to put your clothes other than a closet. The room and facility needed a complete remodel. Hallways were dirty and one of 3 ice machines didn't work. The room overlooked the swamp in back. Was required to pay an additional $100 at check in for a check in fee, non-refundable damage waiver, and cleaning fee. After trying to get clean towel, etc. using the directions in the room, the check in desk across the street said I needed to call them instead. The pool was OK and we learned to deal with walking across 4 lanes of traffic to get to the beach. Believe all of the negative reviews on this site. I was advised the property sets the cancellation policy and I would be stuck for two nights lodging plus their $19.95 fee. Although frustrated with their lack of customer service, It's very overpriced and should be a much lower rated property."

"On arrival our room was not ready, which we expected since arriving a little early. They later called, said room was ready. When we got to room, door was unlocked, lights on, sweeper in middle of floor and no beds made - NOT ready. Called them back and were quickly changed to different room and cleaning fee refunded because of our inconvenience. The room was small for 3 people, there was no place (chest) to put clothing away. Kitchen area was extremely small. Bathroom was large (best room in the place). We were told to go to 4th floor area to get clean linens, but after several attempts called office and they brought us some. Would have been good room for 1-2 people but not any more than that. Would recommend with some reservations."

"I think I may have gotten over charged, I know they told me there would be a fee for cleaning the room. We also didn't have a room that looked like the ones in the video. I was told that Seahaven was on the beach but it was accross the street plus I was told I would have an ocean view I had a view of a swamp that was out back!!! After I complained to the desk ACROSSED the street I decided to pay 10 extra dollars for each night to upgrade me to a better room so I'm sure I paid $100 to $200 more than I should have. I will probably just book through Seahaven next time. Visit was fine once we got a better room with an ocean view!!!!! "

"a. I just find out about extra fees (cleaning and non refundable deposit) after the payment, and if we cancel they said they would retourn only 50% of the money.
b. nom refundable deposit? What is that? Owww that is a Scam.
c. They charge extra cleaning fee but they don't clean the room until you leave.
d. Talking to other people at the hotel I realize they paid $20/day less for the same room and they booked the day before the check in (I booked a month before).
e. they self called 'resort' but the spa don't work and the chlorine is almost umber able. (I asked to the the people at the front desk to turn on and they didn't even bother to show up). There is more... But not enough space here. "

"Never, ever ever again..... Stayed last year and it was a wonderful experience in a beautiful one bedroom suite, but evidently management changed and all went down hill. We arrived to a room with dirty and dingy sheets. TV did not work so maintenance had to come and change the out the wires and cable box. Frig quit working and air quit on last day. Maintenance came in and used blow dryer on it and it kicked back on, but an hour later it was out again. Check in was across the street and it was hard to get someone to answer the phone there. All three ice machines were out of order.... Horrible experience."

"We will never stay again at Origin at Seahaven. The unit was filthy and smelled of mildew. The bed linens were stained, including the comforter. The carpet was damp and we dare not walk on it at all without shoes. The walls were stained with black marks. We requested a beach view and we got a partial of the beach but mostly of the unkempt trailer park just east of the building. We also did not receive the Pier Park Coupon Book as indicated we would on our booking information. NEVER will we stay here again nor would we ever recommend to a friend or foe!"

"I would not recommend staying here to anyone. I had multiple issues with Origin. To start out, we got a room that we did not book, I was suppose to have a one bedroom king bed master suite, and was stuck with one bed and a sleeper sofa that was separated by a night stand in the dining room!!( which would be fine for one couple but not two couples!) I requested fresh towels at four o clock in the evening and did not get them sent up until check out time the day i was leaving!! Also, we went without air conditioning for 24 hours until that was fixed, and a broken kitchen sink. The elevator was always broke which made me have to take the stairs several times! I could list many more, but overall had an awful experience. The manager was amazing at check out with compensation due to all our issues, but would never stay there again."

"Our stay at the Origin at Seahaven was the most unpleasant experience I have ever had. You are better off going to a Motel 6 or Holiday Inn. First off when we got there, we were given the wrong room. We called the front desk, and they stated it was the agency's mishap. Coming from a 8 hour long drive I was not in the mood to argue so we decided to suck it up. The sink faucet was leaking and coming off, the floors were stained and dirty, we called for towels several times and never got any until the last day, the customer service was awful, we went without air for a day and a half.. called for help, and the maintenance guy told us to take a blow dryer to the thermostat. I was EXTREMELY disappointed. The front desk associate and the customer service associate with bookit made me feel like I was out of luck as far as getting help. I will never go back to Origin at Seahaven."

"Very misleading. I asked specifically for a beach front view and was assured over and over that's what I was getting. When I arrived and got into my room I went and looked outside and I was put on the side of the building where if you look straight out all you see is the strip. To the right looked like a trashy wasteland and if you hung over the side then you could see the beach to the left. They said because of how the building is shaped that every room is a beach front view. That is a lie. I was told I could call and check with the front desk every morning I was there to see if another room came available because they were all full when I got there even though I made arrangements months in advance. Will not return. This hotel is advertised as a luxury hotel and it is mediocre at best. The pool is too small and elevators sounded like they were about to fall apart. The ice machines are located on three different floors and ALL of them quit working."

"My family had the worst experience at this condo. I would not recommend Origin or Seahaven and would never return. The majority owners at this condo are fighting with each other and the beach access has been moved to down the street. The pool was yellowish green. The room was not clean and the condos do not have washer and dyers. They only provide 6 towels and do provide towel service. If you wanted to stay here for more than 2 days, 6 towels for a family of 4 will not go far. Stay away!"

"The overall stay was good, The only real complaint we have is that the carpet was absolutely totally filthy, my grandson could not crawl on the floor because of the carpet his knees and legs were totally black he was in a differnt room from us but the carpet was the same in both rooms my nephew who is one would have to
wear shoes so his feet were not black so did every on else I think for 110.00 cleaning fee it could have been better plus a 40.00 a non refundable damge fee
I have always recieved my damage fee back no real comment on staff never seen any

"The hotel has potential to be great. The floors were so filthy. Our feet looked like we had walked around on dirt floors, the dishes and pans still had dried food in them from people who used them last. One of them smelled like the fish that was cooked in it. The toilet kept getting stopped up, the shower knob kept falling off every time you touched it, there was no ironing board but there was an iron. To get clean towels was a hassel. We had called several times withing 2 hours and still didn't get clean towels. I had to walk across the street with my dirty towels just to get clean ones. They didn't give us any washclothes. I will never stay there again."

"I have been traveling to Panama City for the last 4 yrs. . My family and I always had a great stay but this is the first time that I had to leave a comment. UNBELIEVEABLE.......Arrival day, I had to walk across the street to check-in but their were staff at the front desk. 2nd.... I was charge a fee of $100 for cleaning only to arrive at the room to find the Comforter set stained, sheets did not look clean and the sofa sleeper was broke!!!!!! The website advertised a CONDO, I paided over $600 just to arrive to what we call a motel.... Ice machine was broke my husband had to go on the 14th floor for ice when we stayed on the 9th floor.... Overall I would NOT recommend this place to anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"This place stinks!! It has great modern interior in the lobby which makes it look chic, however, when you go to the front desk to check in to your 'Hotel' it is not, Apparently this is a Condo and the 'Association'staff sit at the front desk and you have to walk across the street to check it with the reservation staff. It is advertised as a hotel not a condo, so, imagine my surpirse when we check in to find that it is a Condo, forget that I didn't read the FINE PRINT and upon arrival you are charged an extra $50 some dollars a night in a 'cleaning fee', which by the way is for when you check out, so your stay, you do not get more clean towels, trash taken out, bed made, etc....The condo we stayed in was clean, however it was on the 10th floor, the elevators are slow, the trash cans that sit in front of the elevators were always over flowing with trash, the ice machines (apparently there are only 3 in a 15 story building) are on floors 6, 10 and 14.... 6 and 10 were broken so you had to go to the 14th floor to get ice, if there was any? The first 2 days we went to CVS and bought our own!!! Don't come here!! We called prior to booking the room and were told it was 'on the beach' it is not, normally, I wouldn't be so picky, (walking accress the sreeet isn't that big of a deal), however with 2 small children, beach stuff and the amount of $$$ we paid (over 225.00 a night) I should have gotten more for my money, plus the beach isn't that clean (go to Saint Andrews instead, it's clean and the water is crystal clear! it's a 15 min drive from this dump!!!!) Good Luck, I would never stay here again!!!"

"'All i can say about this place is filth, our original room was so dirty i asked to be moved. there were yellow stains on the sheets, some large spots on the comforter, the carpet had many stains including some gum, the ironing board had so much dirt on it that it was unusable. the staff did upgrade us to a larger unit, but it wasnt very clean either. the carpets were nasty in this one, there was dried red sauce on the counter and floor, the blender had stuff dried in it, the bed was so worn out you sunk in it like a hammock, ashes on the balcony where people had obviously put out their cigarettes, there was some spot on the door in the bathroom. There is no amount of desperation in which i would consider staying here again!"

"The room that we stayed in had stains all over the carpet sand was still on the bathroom counter top and was still on the floor. The shower did not drain at all so my first shower I was standing in water, when my husband looked in the drain it had so much hair in it it was unreal. The front desk inside the condo could not help you with anything you had to go across the street to that office if you needed anything. I heard other people complaining about how dirty their room was, one couple even refused to stay in the room they were given and had to be moved."

"upon check in which was across the road i was hit with a hidden fee that was over $100 which i was not aware of, the room was not what was described. It was suppose to sleep 6 and it only had one bed. I had to use the stairs because you would stand forever by the garbage shoot waiting on the elevator. anytime you needed a towel or anything you had to go across the road. The room itself was nice if that was what i wanted but i paid over $500 for a one bed motel instead of a condo like was advertised."

"My BF & I went to PCB this past weekend and stayed at Origin. It was a great experience, even though we did not have a room with an ocean view, the hotel is RIGHT across the beach! Great Location! Very clean! COMFORTABLE beds, our king size bed felt like a swimming pool, it was so COMFY! Staff was friendly. Our iron was broke when we arrived, however, we asked a housekeeper for one and a few mins later she brought it! Yes, we did have to check-in across the street, but no big deal, it was literally facing the hotel!

"stayed at this dump july 8th and 9th on my way to Disney worlds Boardwalk resort (which was very Nice) This is the Seahaven condo rentals not the regular hotel rooms which I did not know untill check in when they said I had to go across the street to this old shack to check in. The advertisement video looked very nice. It was not. The room needed new carpet, it was very old, worn and stained everywhere, we had to wear flip flops to get out of the horrible bed. The walls needed painting, hand prints, stains, etc. The king size bed was slanted at an angle like a 6-12 inch drop from headboard to footboard plus a lumpy and cheap old mattress. I paid with the cleaning fees and taxes about $260 per night for this room,- and this was the second room we moved to after bringing all our stuff up to the first room we were given which was worse than this one. This hotel is also NOT on the beach, it is across the street which you have to cross to get to the beach. It did however have good a/c and ocean view. We spent our entire days in the beautiful town and beach od Seaside (about 15 miles west) and only went to the room very late to sleep. I am 52 years old and this was the worst place I have stayed in my entire life!"

"As ususal what you see is not what you get. The carpet on the floor was very dirty and the bathroom had some mold around the edges. The floor was so dirty I wore my flip flops all the time, the bottom of them was black. The cushions on the couch were very questionable as well. Half of our vacation time seemed to be wasted on waiting for the elevators, walking up the stairs to 10th floor wasn't always an option but we did do a few times due to slow elevators. For the price I feel like we could have stayed somewhere a little nicer. Probably wouldn't recommend for families, saw lots of younger party type crowd all the time. The kitchen was the nicest thing there, really enjoyed it! Would return but would like to see it a little more clean! Would only recommend to friends if I told them everything about it."

"When we first got there tropical storm Debbie had hit. The only real problem is we requested a beachfront view and ended up with a view of the pool and hot tub. It was a problem that was fixed and the room I eneded up getting had a great view. Over all I was very pleased and ended up staying an extra day. I have stayed in this Hotel a few times before and have enjoyed my stay everytime. And yes I will be staying here again."

"Wow I live two hours from Panama city beach, so I go alot and have stayed at many places. I would never recommend this place to anyone.Its SUPPOSE to be a nice upscale condo.NOT. We booked last minute for the day after the 4th of july.I would a have stayed at home. This is a nasty place. Every part was unclean. The entrance when you walk in is nasty and it is that way through out the entire property.This could be a nice place, but is not being kept up. For sure I had a big problem with being charged a damage fee of fourty dollars non-returnable....and told to look around our room for any damage . So I have to inspect my own room and pay for damages I have not caused.If you want clean towels you have to get them yourself...and it goes on....There was a broken lamp, broken couch...wow..save your money..dont go here.."

"People need to read the terms and conditions before they say anything about paying extra fees. I read them and when i arrived I paid the fees that where stated on the terms and condition. Now. My stay was overall a good stay. If you listen when you check in they give you vouchers to get more towels. If you call they will bring them to you. we had a partial beach view. While that is not the best it was o.k. Frogs are noisy . For the money that we spent it was an overall good stay"

"I don't know if I am the only one who had these issues but I am going to put this review up so hopefully I can save someone else the trouble.
When I first booked the trip it was four eight people in two rooms. Since one of the people going was afraid of heights, she wanted her room as close to the ground as possible. I love looking off the balcony watching the ocean so I wanted my room as high as possible. Not one time did anyone mention anything about this room not being gulf view. I was told that it had put in a request for one room as high as possible, one room as low as possible. I paid for the trip and we started packing. Fast forward to a week before we are scheduled to leave. I check our booking online and realize that it DID NOT say one room as high as possible, one room as low as possible. It said BOTH rooms as low as possible, preferably on the same floor. It took at least an hour of calling and calling to finially get through to call the hotel to verify. They pulled up my reservation and told me that it had my request included. This was also when I found out that neither room had a beach view. Since this hotel is across the street from the beach I would not have booked it if I had of known that I could not get a beach view. The lady at the front desk or Origin told me sorry but they were already booked up so there was no way I could get a beach view at that date. She then told me that I would have to pay a cleaning deposit when I got there of $250.00. To be honest it was listed in my e-mail confirmation but I assumed it had already been included. That was my bad but we moved on. When we got to the hotel neither room was ready. We were early so we went to the beach after we reitterated that we wanted one room high, one room low. When we finially got our rooms the girl at the front told us that she 'pulled some strings' and got us on the same floor. Why would you do that when it is not what we asked for and it gave completely different directions in our reservation? By then we just wanted to get settled so we said what ever, paid our cleaning deposit and went to out rooms. When we walked in we should have turned around and left. The 'forest view' that a non-gulf view room has is actually a mud hole. The is absolutely NO room service. You have to take out your trash AND exchange your towel. You can only exchange towels once per day or there is a fee. The elevators are incredibly slow. The is a coffee pot in the room but none of the stuff that goes with it. The can opener didn't work. The eyes on the stove were completely warped. The thermostat had a short and spent the entire last night we were there flashing. We were there for five days and by the last day every one of us was ready to go home. I really don't mind paying a cleaning fee but NO ONE cleaned my room. Basically I paid so that I could do it myself. The staff was rude. They griped if you happened to get on the elevator with them and heaven forbit you should be wet. It's not like we were at the ocean or anything. The rooms are nicely set up if there is only two people coming. I ended up bringing my twelve year old niece with me and I called to make sure that I didn't need to pay extra. The lady told me that each room can sleep five so it was no problem. What she didn't mention is that in order to sleep five you have to have three people in one bed and two in the other. Since I have two boys we had to ask them for an air mattress for her to sleep on. This would not have been a problem if the lady hadn't been so snotty about it. She acted like I should put a twelve year old girl in the bed with an eleven and twelve year old boy. She told me that the rooms WOULD sleep five. Just not comfortably. This is not a place I will ever stay again and I would not recommend it to anyone that I know. Before you book look around. There is a hotel right across the sreet that will give you beach view penthouse for less that what you pay to stay in a place that offers swamp view."

"We made reservations for the King Bed Efficiency Condo for 2 nights, paid a total of $500.03. When we got to our room, we found that our advertised 'balcony resort view' was actually a view of swamp and mud. As I began to get our family of 5 unpacked and settled in I found that there was no dresser or drawers in the room to use for clothing. Soon after, we began freshing up to go eat dinner. While my husband was occupying the bathroom with shower; my daughter and I naturally began seeking the traditional wall mirror that normally hangs inside your room so we could finsih getting ready and found that there was no mirror for us to use..period- except for the mirror inside the bathroom. The tub faucet handle kept falling off the wall during each shower and the soap/washcloth rack was located in the corner of the tub, faced down. Bolt holes were exposed inside the shower where it once stood. The blow dryer only worked for about a minute before it 'burnt up', shutting off. It never would power back on even after re-setting the electrical outlet. Having 2 smaller children, the need for Kleenex is frequent, there was none provided. The first morning there, I awaken with a desperate need for COFFEE. After searching high and low for a 'singles' complimentary coffee for the provided coffee pot I finally give up and send my daughter down to the lobby for a cup. OMG! It wasn't long before she came back to the room to tell me that she was told we would have to go across the street to get it. At this point I called the lobby ' across the street' and discussed all the above findings and my displeasure. The desk rep. did not offer any apology, exchanges, or partial refunds. I was very diplomatic. Also, I wanted to add a few other inconsistencies to their ads. They provided an iron but no ironing board, and the hot tub/sauna should have been called a 'kiddie pool' because the water was cold all 3 days we were there. And finally I wanted to note this about the $40 NON-refundable DAMAGE waiver fee we were charged when we arrived, as we're the other 328 rooms, the bathroom conditions were unacceptable. Several repairs were needed in the bathroom before we arrived. Their was also evidence that a 'handy-man' fixed a towel rack above the toilet where it had been stripped from the wall because the towel rack was bolted back to the wall just under the original bolt holes left visible for all to see..very noticeable and cheap looking."

"I do not recommend staying in this hotel! I booked it because it seemed nice and was a very good price in comparison to most places during peak season. However, once I paid the cleaning fee (they do not tell you about this until you arrive) I could have stayed in a much nicer place. WHen you check in, they require that you pay a $112 cleaning fee, but they do not clean your room until you check out. They treat this place as though it is a condominium, but it is a hotel. So, I paid $112 for someone to clean my room after I left. Throughout my stay, there was no room cleaning service. I had to go to the front desk to get clean towels. The guests are required to provide the garbage bags and toilet paper. They give you an initial supply, but after that you must provide these items. I have stayed in many nice condos and I know this is typical. However, the Origin is not a condo. Most condos require a 100-150 cleaning fee.THis was a small hotel room with one king size bed and a small kitchenette...not a condo! The rooms were not in bad shape, however they are very basic..there isn't even an alarm clock. I would compare it to staying at a Days Inn..it's not even on the level of a Marriott. You definitely get what you pay for at this hotel. I would not recommend it to anyone I know and I will never be back. Spend a little extra money and stay at a nicer place. Besides the cleaning fee, none of the ice machines ever worked. One of them would barely produce a little ice. The other 2 machines were not even plugged in and one was completely taken apart. THe carpet is dirty and the elevators are constantly backed up. Also beware that they may tell you, you are getting a gulf view. My particular room overlooked a sandy swampy area. I could go on and on with complaints about this place. Overall, it is not worth what you pay. You can pay a little more and stay in a nice condo that has multiple rooms and is worth paying the money for."

"There are extra fees you have to pay when checking in. You also have to check in across the street and not at the desk in the front lobby. The condo floors had sand all on them and we had to ask for someone to come vacuum the floors again. When requesting anything that would require a visit from the staff you have to be present in the room. This is a little inconvenient. The pool area needs more chairs. it was very crowded. The rooms were nice. We stayed in a King efficency. The beds were comfortable and besides the floor the room was clean. We would probably not stay here again as it wasn't the deal we thought it since we had the extra fees to pay at check in. We also would prefer staying directly on the beach."

"Let me start by saying that when you book make sure that you understand clearly that you have to check in 'across the street' from the condo, as an added inconvenience the staff will ask you 'where you checked in at', if you check in at the desk that is located in the lobby they are more than willing to be nice and helpful, but if you had to check in 'across the street as we did', should you need anything such as towels you have to take your old ones across the street and they will then tell you that they will get fresh ones up to you. We asked for towels for two days after we had given them our old ones. When we arrived, the staff was not friendly or welcoming. The room was just 'OK' we have stayed in some really nice places and some others that were not so nice but we have never experienced this type of treatment. My husband asked a staff member of the hotel if we could get some clean towels and she replied 'will you be in your room?' We were on our way to dinner, and he said 'no mam we are going to eat' and she said 'well what do you want me to do about it?' She then asked where we checked in and he replied 'across the street', she then told him that she was not allowed to get us towels we would have to go across the street, or call the front desk which the front desk would never answer the phone. There is no business center, so if you need to print something you can't do it. I

"Beautiful place to stay. Outside is deceiving compared to the inside. Our room was a nice Studio condo. The carpets all over building were in need of deep cleaning. the game area was in the middle of traffic not in a room to itself. The welcome area/entrance needed some additonal landscape and pressure washing. Our stay was at the same time as a girls soccer tournament and we could never get a washer and dryer to use at any time of day or night. The pool area was nice but the pool was always full and there was even a person shocked in the jacuzzi during our stay because of faulty wiring. The pool and jacuzzi was closed 2 of the days because of the incident. The fact that the beach was covered in heavy green seawood it didn't leave us anywhere to swim. Only after the 2 days did we find out that we were welcome to swim at there other condos. NO information from the desk informed us of that option.
We did like the marked crosswalk to the beach but the area needed cleaning also. We are pretty easy going people and the vacation was ok but for the price we paid we expected a little more. Our next vacation will not be in such a busy vacation party town Never a quiet moment on the strip."

"Was very excitied and looking forward of speading time with our family and grandsons. I had called a day ahead to confirm our room since I had paid for the 3 bedroom King Master Suite in full several weeks ahead. On our way down, I had called the front desk to see if our room was ready since we were going to arrive a little earlier than check in time and was told by the desk clerk it was ready. We were greatly disappointed when we arrived at the desk to be told they had sold our room to another family an hour earlier. We ended up being seperated and very discussed."

"Highly over rated. Priced to high for the room we had and the view sucked. The sofa bed was terrible. The parking deck did not have any painted direction markers to indicate direction. No indication lights/signs to let you know if a deck was full or not which caused traffic jams that cut into valuable vacation time. In this case didn't get what we paid for. DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!"

"My family and I recently stayed at Origin at Seanhaven. When we pulled up we were very pleased. The building looked nice it was directly across from the water and on a very busy but happening road. We were excited when we heard we were on the 17th floor. Once we walked in the room we were very disappointed. The carpet was disgusting. I have a one year old daughter and I was worried she was going to get sick from the carpet. There were stains everywhere. In some areas there were even chunks of stuff. The walls were covered in dirty hand prints which could have easy been cleaned off but were not. The microwave top vent was busted in. rnAfter complaining we were told that the owner refused to make any repairs. We were also showed other rooms in Origin at Seahaven that were managed by the other management company and they were beautiful. The only plus to our room was that we had a great view. If we paid half of what we did it would have at least been a little more acceptable. rnrnOtherwise, we loved Panama City Beach. It was beautiful there and a lot of fun. "

"The location of the Origin at Seahaven is perfect. Although the building is on the north side of the road across from the beach, your view from the balcony is breathtakingly beautiful. The crosswalk going to the beach is very convenient and only a few steps away making accessing the beach as simple as possible. And being that Sharky's is right next door, you are always near a fine place to eat or drink right on the beach with access to volleyball nets, parasailing, jet skiing, umbrella chairs, etc. I was very well pleased with our room also. We were on the 11th floor and there are 4 elevators that are there to get you up and down as quickly as possible. We will definitely be staying here on a yearly basis."

"This was my family's second year staying at the Orgin. We had such a good experience that other friends and family came with us this year and made there reservations through Book-it. However.we were told upon arrival that new owners had taken over and we had to go across the street to register. The cleaning fee was 150.00 instead of the 110 that was on the contract. The carpet was in bad shape and did not appear to be clean. I also noticed that the pool area did not look like last year and the towel service was not good. Overall we had a good time,but was dissappiointed in the conditions when comparing them to last year. We may book other accomendations next year."

"My boyfriend and I drove down in May for a weekend to ourselves. First of all, we drove a little over 6 hours to get there. The check in time was at 4 but we got there around 3 and figured it wouldn't be a big deal to try and check in. When I got to the front desk, I wasn't asked for my identification or anything of the sort to prove that I was who I said I was.. just money up front, thank you, wait an hour and come back because the room is still dirty. Okay, whatever.. so we drove around and came back an hour later.
First of all, let me say that the way the condo is set up is extremely confusing. If you take the wrong elevator, you will be winding around the entire place for 15 minutes trying to find your room. Don't even get me started on trying to find the pool.
We had requested a high room, ocean view, and a balcony. Of course, we didn't get that. We got an economy sized room, which was fine, but no balcony or even windows that opened. We called the front desk to see if ANYTHING else was available, and they told us that they didn't have one single room left.
I was extremely disappointed to have no balcony and no fresh air; That's why we wanted a high floor..
Also, the little economy rooms are kind of shared in a suite. You come to the door, open it, and there are two doors behind it. One is your room, and another couple share the next room. I was VERY uncomfortable with this.. Every time they would come out of their room, you could hear them laughing and talking and slamming doors. I felt like I was in a college dorm room.. and it wasn't even spring break! We felt like we had to whisper and like we couldn't just be ourselves because there was always someone listening.
Secondly, after looking around the room, we discovered that the ceiling fan didn't work. So now we had no air circulation, no balcony and no fresh air.
We also had to deal with using two towels the entire trip which was a huge inconvenience. They have no room service in the main building at all.
Lastly, we had four key cards the entire time we were there because they kept deactivating and we kept getting locked out of our room.
The walk across the street wasn't horrible. We actually liked the fact that they had a walk way to get across without getting ran over.
Over all, not a great experience.. the staff wasn't very helpful and seemed to just want to get rid of us. The room was semi-clean, very cramped and stuffy, and overall disappointing. I understand that not everyone can have the room that they want, but we had booked this 5 months in advance.. you'd think we'd have some kind of advantage.
We will definitely never return. It wasn't worth the money."

"Overall, our stay was great. The room was very nice and exactly as stated on the hotel's website. The furniture appeared to be new and well cared for. We had a beach view on the 11th floor. Even though the hotel is across the street, the view was great.There were a few minor issues. The carpet in our room had a few red stains and several of the dishes were dirty. The trash chute near the elevator was awful. The smell was almost unbearable and caused us to use an elevator that was further from our room. The parking became an issue on the weekend. We were forced to park off property due to cars that were double parked. There were hotel staff ticketing the improperly parked cars, but they should have more parking to avoid this issue."

"We had a horrible experience!! The hallway smelled really bad and the carpet in the hallway was filthy. It looks like no one has been caring for this place meanwhile they charge you a cleaning fee as soon as you get there. First of all we get there and within 10 mins of being in the room my kids feet were black from underneath, my husband went downstairs and complained so finally they sent someone with inadequate cleaning supplies to clean the floors in our room. The lady wiped our floors with a towel which ended up turning black by the time she was done. If we didnt have small children with us we would have left the same day but driving back another 6 plus hrs with little ones is not easy. I don't get why we had to pay a cleaning fee if the rooms look this way, we would never return to this property."

"As a Housekeeping Director, I was not to impressed with how the housekeeping cleans a room. There is a need for someone to inspect the rooms a lot better, if there is anyone doing that there at all. There was leftover lemonade, nuts from previous guest left in a bowl in the cabinet. They should also be required to wear hair nets. It just an added bonus when a guest doesn't have to see the maids hair from cleaning the room. They also need to turn on all the lights while cleaning a room. I noticed one maid on the floor I was staying on, had no lights on in the room, as well as the drapes were shut tight. Other than that, the place was a great location, and all staff was very friendly. Front desk allowed me to check in early, and I was upgraded. That was very nice. Would think of returning in the future if housekeeping works a little better at cleaning rooms."

"I was quit pleased with my previous visits at the orgin but was very disappointed this time. We paid 1,000 for a 3 bedroom condo, for 4 nights. The room had the potintial to be upscale except for the fact the carpet was filty and left our feet black each time we walked on it. The room was not equippted with ANY cookware,Towels, or washcloths, nor was our bed linens changed during the stay. The walls were dirty and filled with patch marks. All of your basic ammenities were missing. We called to inform them the need of these basics and it took them hours to deliver 4 towels/face rags and 1 pot (there were 5 guest). We called at 6 and they came at midnight, literally!!! WE NEVER SAW HOUSEKEEPING but yet had to pay additional $130.00 for cleaning and $40.00 for damages at check-in.
As I stated I enjoyed my previous stays but will have to question any future visits to the Orgin.
Hate to give a bad review because I so loved this hotel and the staff is awesome. Hopefully management will work on getting things back on track... good luck!"

Read the small print you will not get what you were promised.We arrived at 11:00 a flight booked by them and could not get into our rooms till 4:00 after much complaining they did manage to work with us concerning what to do with our luggage for hours.Do you really want to walk around Panama City for hours dragging your luggage??They felt it was against policy to be responsible for our luggage.And of course our condo was not a condo it was an efficiency big difference!! We also did not get beach front as requested. A cleaning fee of sixty dollars for dirty carpets was crazy and an additional forty dollar fee for a damage waiver.It was one hundred dollars before we could even get into the hotel.And if your looking for ice you can forget that none of the machines worked."

"Up until this trip to Panama City. I have to say when I walked into my hotel room.. not a condo as promised, I was SHOCKED. It was dirty, small and not at all what was presented. I took my mother on what I thought would be a nice relaxing trip tot he beach, in a nice facility. We were not happy at all with what we were provided. I think asking someone to walk across the street to get their own towels, while paying a cleaning fee of $100 is just wrong. This is not what I expected. This property is not a good option for anyone other than a group of college kids that want a place to party. Certainly not a place for people that expect class in a place where they vacation. I feel like I was scammed in what was paid."

"We arrived at the Origan at Seahaven not knowing we had to check in at a different location. As I was checking in I was informed I owed an additional $85. This was for a damage fee (non fundable) and a cleaning fee. I would have understood about a damage deposit but it should be refundable after check out if we didn't mess anything up. I had requested a ocean/pool view and recieved a view of the swamp in the back of the buliding. I did asked for a room upgrade, which was an additional charge, and this room was much better. The view was beautiful, but the carpet was filthy. We had to wear our shoes in the room because the carpet was so nasty. "

"Shower didn't work upon arrival. It took contacting the front desk 5 times to get shower fixed. The rooms were very nice and not the normal beachy/cottage theme. The carpet was filthy though. It needed cleaning very badly. Our feet were filthy if we didn't wear shoes inside. Pull out mattress needed to be replaced and no additional sheets or covers were provided for it. Also didn't like paying a $40 damage fee which was non refundable. I would have understood a damage deposit but this was an outright fee."

"The Origin was a real nice place. I would stay there again. Very nice and clean. Very good view on the sunset decks. Nice pool area. The only thing is when you get there they charge you another $40 insurance fee and a $40 cleanup fee for the at the time was a $89 a night room. So bring a extra $100 because youll need it when you check in. Overall very nice place besides the hidden fees."

"When we arrived the sign at the building reads 'Registration' so we pull in and go inside...the two at the desk really don't even look up at us before saying check-in is across the street. OK we drive across the street and the front desk person ( Young female) never welcomes us or really makes eye contact, then tells us that in addition to what we already paid, there is another $160.00 ish in fees and cleaning charge. Again we're here and try to make the best of it! We go to the room and the size was nice 3 Bdrm 2.5 baths as promised..one of the penthouses! The furniture was in horrible condition (sofa is broken in the middle of its back and the rest has definitely seen better days! The worst disappointment is that from the balcony there was an obstructed view of the gulf (maintainance type of building directly in front of our balcony) and for such a large unit only 2 chairs and small round table on the balcony. At one point the sink in the kitchen started to leak and the maintanance staff member (who happened to be working on our floor converting cable boxes) actually said to us 'Oh I see the problem...you used the disposal, there so cheap anything stops them up, I'll have to replace the whole thing soon as I can'. We were not impressed with this property at all, for the two night stay to be over $650.00 we could have at a Ritz Carlton!!! "

"Me and my sister stayed in a king bed studio room, is was perfect we had no problems, the pool area was very nice and clean, the walk to the beach was not bad the beach is right across the street. I would stay here again and my sister said the same thing, the only thing I would do is request or get a ocean view room cause the back of the hotel is not a pretty view at all it kinda just looks like a marsh. A big plus for us was that our flight the day we left was later in the day and the hotel was very helpful in letting us stay till 2pm with no late checkout fee!"

"My trip with my family was great. After reading the bad reviews about this facility I was very prepared to walk into a disaster, but this place was awesome. Pier park is about 1 mile away and my 2yrs old enjoy the amusement park and train ride at pier park...there is so much to do for kids on front beach road was very pleased with all the activity. "First off I want to say that I have read plenty of Reviews about this place. The few I read I was totally in shock however I wont repeat what I've read. I booked three rooms back in March for a weekend vacation me and 5 others. There was a little problem with the rooms that we was unsure of but however we kept our reservation we did think that the cleaning fees etc was a bit over the top. May 18 was when we arrived, check in was awesome however the rooms we booked two of them were different. We were ok with that, staff was excellent, on some of the reviews I've read said that the staff was very rude well we didn't experience that. Now the rooms all I can say is wow when we saw our rooms we were shocked because this was not what we booked but we didn't complain one bit. The rooms were great, stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishes, pots and pans, I mean what more can you ask for when this wasn't suppose to be the room that we booked. Now as far as the elevators lets just say we had to take the stairs the last day we was there. The room me and my girlfriend had wasn't a pleasant view it was actually the back of the condo not a good view but my friends rooms had a great view so to wrap this us I enjoyed my stay here and I will return and I do recommend this condo to anyone."

"I booked a king room for $89....after taxes and fees around $132. Needless to say, make sure you save an extra $100 for some type of cleaning fee they charge at check-in. An $89 room cost $232!! Totally ridiculous!!!! Check-in has a ridiculous time of 4p, but you have to check-out by 10a. For a late check-in, there should be a late check-out. Also, make sure you have proof that you're staying at this hotel if you eat at Sharky's. If you don't, you're free meals for kids under 12, won't be free. All in all, the hotel is really clean and quiet, the pool is clean, there's movie times for kids or family, it's close to Pier Park, and the bed is SUPER comfy!! I wouldn't come back unless the fees were cheaper."

There's stains everywhere in the carpet, the counters are dirty, the lights in the bathrooms were burnt out,the blender didn't work, and the pool area was nasty and dirty. "The Origin at Seahaven was a nice hotel/condo that met our every need. The elevators are very slow here, especially since every teeny-bopper on spring break was a guest here. I love Panama City and the way it has grown (esp Pier Park), but I vow never to return during the Spring Break weeks. These kids were absolutely nuts! I found the frony desk people to be very helpful and courteous, but the Sea Haven worker dude outside of the check-in building was making frequent trips to the hotel next door, doing something illegal. Not my business but it is when my little 6 year old was asking questions and having to smell it...and quite frankly, he didn't care who saw him. The only 2 complaints I really have about this place is only 3 ice machines in whole 17 floor hotel, and only 1 worked. Also...elevators terribly slow. Nice and much needed insulation though, to keep the hollars of the teeny boppers to a minimum."

"Worst place I have EVER stayed. Not as advertised!! Sofa was broke, bed in the master bedroom was broke. for a 5 yr old resort the furnishings were straight out of the 70's. Almost like it was picked up at the Goodwill store. Managements stand by excuse was the spring breakers were to blame. well a good mngt team wouldnt have turned their head and allowed their resort to be trashed like that. Obviously they didnt care about the FAMILY vacationers. I would not recommend if you are looking for a nice family vacation."

"The rooms are very lovely and clean. The customer service is awful! You must put a parking pass in your car. Ours fell down and the 'homeowners association' had it towed at 4am! When we asked the desk clerks why they werent notified, they looked at each other and said 'I dont know. Shouldnt we have been notified?' They took our tag numbers upon arrival! Needless to say we had to pay a $125 tow fee to get our car back. I tried to complain to a manager, but never got a call back. Their fees are absolutely ridiculous! For some reason they dont have a service elevator, so you have to wait on the cleaning staff with all of their supplies to go up and down on the elevator. Loved Panama City....hated the hotel. "

"I would not recommend this to anyone. I have NEVER had to fill out a 2 page inventory of everything in a condo. It was absolutely ridiculous. I was so mad by the time I completed it and I had a huge headache. I felt like they thought I was going to steal everhything in the condo. The carpet in the room had so many stains and the walls were some what dirty. All the extra charges were not disclosed until after I had booked my stay. I chose to stay rather than lose the money. I will not return."

"I didn't see the fees until after I committed to the purchase either, but when we got there, the bigger surprise was when the front desk told me I had cancelled two days earlier. I had not. Fortunately, other than patience required as the gentleman at the front desk worked it out, all went okay. He even snagged us a room upgrade for our troubles. And, since we were not true 'Spring Breakers', he removed the added security deposit fee. Elevators were a bit iffy because 3 of the four were down for maintenance. No problem with walking across the street to the beach. It's actually a secluded beach area. Overall okay stay."

Staff not helpful at all. Ex. asked about the local trolly. Had no clue, was shocked, especially since it's 1 block away from condo. Have a theatre. movie room. Was locked every day. Asked about it, they didn't know. Elevators being worked on when we were there. So, had long waits or had to use stairs. (on 8th floor) Rugs throughout facility dirty. Cleaning people were using brooms to clean rugs, no vacumes? Not worth the cost I paid. Will not come back to this place...."

"As soon as we get there the lady at front desk had a attitude! We had to carry all of our luggage to our room due to no carry carts! As were walking down hall to get to our room there was a wrapper on the floor! I watched a cleaning lady walk by this 5 times! Might I add I had 2 children under the age of 12... The 1st nite someone was beating on our door at 2am. The 2nd nite people were singing so loud off there balcony who could sleep. No one ever came in our room to clean, change sheets or give us clean towels. We decided to leave at 3am on sun morning to only find out that someone had started a fire on the 8 floor & everyone had to get out of building..EXCEPT the 5th floor in which we was on. So once again we had to carry ALL our bags down the stairs. If you are smart dont stay here. The room was NASTY! Carpet made our feet dirty & the bath tub was GROSS! I will not ever stay here nor will I recommend to anyone I know. & yes I called the front desk no one cared! I could not get out of this room for any reason! When I checked out the guy looked drunk & couldnt tell me if i needed to bring key down upon checkout! IDIOT! I would rather pay 500.00 a night then ever go back here!"

"What honest reason would a hotel have for not revealing the addition of any and all fees upon booking? Possibly the knowledge that no one would ever agree to a $50 per night cleaning fee. When we checked in and were asked for an addiiton $100 for our 2 night stay for cleaning, I was shocked. Of course, I had already paid for the room on-line and knew I would never see that again, so of course, I chose to stay and pay the undisclosed fee rather than forfeit the entire thing. I have no doubt that the desk personnel had heard the complaint MANY times before because her explanation was curt, to-the-point, and no discussion was allowed. Also, there is a $50 per night charge, BUT no cleaning is done until you are gone. As was pointed out to us, it was all in the 'Terms and Conditions', however, not including this in the information on the first booking page was just plain sneaky. In addition to this underhanded tactic, there were no batteries in the TV remote and when I asked at the front desk if they had replacements I was told 'No'. That's it. I would not return there uness totally desparate."

"My wife and I took a trip down memory lane to Panama City Beach, the resort was great, if you read the material there are no supprises. The efficiency condo was very roomey the view was awsome.The resort was as advertized. Location was wonderful, our reservation was handled correctly,even though we bookit on Thursday and arrived on Friday. If you are looking for a motel experience don't go, this is a first class condo resort were the travelor has some responsibility for the room and supplies. Free Parking was a nice touch. although the beach was accross the road, there was a padestrian crosswalk. I will return and I will recommend this to my friends."

"I must say that after reading all of the reviews, my family and I were horrified of what we would find when we arrived at the Origin at Seahaven. I was well aware of several items that people had listed as dislikes, so I had prepared my family. We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival. Yes, the carpet was not the cleanest and there was paint peeling in some places, but overall, we were happy with our accomodations. We had 2 gulfview condos and for the price that we paid, we were satisfied. Yes, the building is across the street from the beach, but we were on the 13th floor and our view was wonderful. Yes, the elevators took some time to get to you, but that was expected. We were on vacation and were not in a hurry to get any place. Yes, there was a cleaning fee and another fee, but I expected that too from reading the reviews. All in all, it was a great value for the money! Thanks for leaving reviews though. That helped!"

"we had a one night stay as soon as i arrived they demanded a fee for cleaning about $50 they would not give me my key untill i paid even though i pointed out that the online deal was all inclusive but with a tired missus and 5 grumpy kids i paid the next day on leaving i had found my online receipt which i showed receptionist who promised to refund me via card which they never did they advertised taxi trip to airport for $20 i asked the receptionist for confirmation on price which she did when i got to airport the driver demanded $70 $10 for each passenger including a 3 year old ,the car was not a taxi or mini bus and did not have enough seat belts or baby seat the child sat on mothers lap this hotel is run by cowboys the room we had was filthy we had a room by the pool the balcony part had been used as an ashtray the inside was also filthy which made me wonder about the cleaning fee the bar across the road tried to overcharge me on drinks when i pointed it out the barman re-did my bill then slammed the change on bar ,shame on me for catching him out do not even think about using this hotel they are scum who do not deserve your honestly earned money they certainly dont earn their money honestly I am still waiting for my refund 3years on"

"This hotel is a disaster! The staff was sooo unfriendly and everything just says about a very poor management. WiFi works only in the pool area. After our first stay in the hotel we traveled to Orlando and after we cam back we were supposed to check in on June 10, but at arrival we have figured out that we were not in the system!!!! It was almost midnight and we were exhausted, but the receptionst kept saying that she did not have our reservation, although it was confirmed by the hotel. . "What's not to love??? The front desk experience was FANTASTIC, they were so nice and helpful including allowing us to check in extremely early!! When we got to our room, we loved it, could of stayed in the room the entire trip and been completely satisfied! I have absolutely NO compaints about our stay! We stayed 4 days, 3 nights and did not want to check out Monday! I would recommend them to anyone and have already recommended them to family and do plan to stay there again soon!
There is a $39 non refundable damage waiver, but that was fine with us as the prices were awesome and they do inform you of this before booking. Our total experience from booking our stay up until check out was nothing but pleasant!
We travel with ourselves and our 3 children, there was plenty of room and a great location. Had a great view, the heated pool was wonderful as we expected the ocean was still cold for swimming. :)
Don't have any doubts when booking with the Origin, it was nothing less than AWESOME!"

"1st stay in summer had a 1 br condo that was fantastic!!! Clean, furnished nicely and view to die for!!! This go round had reserved a 3br 3ba..Upon check took the advice of a previous customer and requested to see condo before unloading...1st condo 1701 was unacceptable, carpet so filthy you coudlnt' take your shoes off...walls dirty and is some disrepair of furnishings...2nd condo can't recall # but almost as bad as the first one shown...the 3rd one was actually nicely furnished and failrly decent but our balconies were adjoined to common areas and offered no privacy. The final and fourth one we selected 1504 was fine...Clean, nicely furnished and fully equipped with balconies in each bedroom and a view to die for!!! @ the damage waiver fee, it is fully disclosed if ppl would read the entire info. packet and the wifi leaves much to be desired since it's so spotty in the condo...but otherwise a great expernce...."

"The 'Condo' was smaller than a conventional Motel room and more expensive. We had to supply our own pans, coffe and coffee filters if we wanted to enjoy meals or coffee in the resort. Of course you are not told that beforehand. At least other motels offer coffe and Continential Breakfasts. I stayed at a much better Motel during season for a lot less and had more room and free coffee and breakfast. I would not stay again or reccomend to friends. The pool and the Jacquzzi were both pretty dirty. The fees that were added on upon our arrival sucked too."

"Everything about this condo was top rate. From the pleasant quick check in, very friendly staff, spotless, well maintained and stocked unit. We had the King suite with ocean view on 9th floor. This was one of the nicest places We have visited. We stayed in October 2011, The beach wasn.t crowded, it was still warm enough to swim, seashells were abundant. Just a great time all around. Sharky's is right across the street, it is very nice, but the REAL DEAL is just down the street at SHUCKUM'S. They have the quickest service, coldest beer and largest oysters in town... and we went to ALL of the usual spots. We are definately coming back next year. "Sinc I took the time to read ALL of the info concerning our stay at Origin at Seahaven I had no surprises. All fees and charges are explained before you book. Our room was clean and very comfortable. It offered us walk out access to the pool and spa as well as excellent views of the Gulf coast. Great food was close and easy to find. Funny our two free drink coupons were given at check in for Sharky's across the street, (but we don't drink alcohol so they did not get used). The staff was helpful and friendly every time we were in need of them. Activities were all around for all ages. We had no surprises just a peacful relaxing time to enjoy one another. "Picked the ocean instead of mountains this Fall; weather cooperated! PRO's: Spacious non-smoking rooms, roomy bath and large closet, plenty of hot water, full kitchen w/ dishwasher, washer/dryer in unit, 2 TVs, great balcony with a view. Super comfortable king bed, fairly good black-out curtains, quality towels, this place is clean-clean-CLEAN (says a lot, being the beach and just after bike-week). Easy beach access, Pool/spa/patio with grilling area really enjoyable, lanscaped grounds, elevators fast and roomy. Very family friendly establishment; Helpful, courteous desk and housekeeping staff and at Sharkey's across the street. Easy parking. View of sunsets and fireworks from roof unbeatable. A few jellyfish but clear snorkeling near the jettys.
CON's: could use few more towel rods or hooks for beachwear; 'high-speed' internet a little slow and wireless very slow. Living room layout a little awkward, fold-out sofa NOT comfortable for 3rd guest. Bare minimum pots/pans, irritating tv remote (scrolls) and no tv programming/movie listings available. Nice theater room available in lobby, but movie rental and grocery shopping a little distant. Towel exchange advertised but not availabe on weekdays, shower pressure a little weak. Rental bike or scooter parking discouraged on property. Requested western-facing room but granted eastern side--meaning early sunsine and 5am garbage collection wake-ups! Room rented for $77, multiple add-on charges brought total to $108/night--a fair price for off-season, but not the killer-deal advertised. Charged $1 for 'free' Pier Park coupon book that was pretty much useless; two free welcome drinks never materialized. No major ugly surprises, we enjoyed ourselves and the uncrowded off-season beaches. Left rested and tan!"

"We had a great time at this hotel. It is beautiful and the staff was great. I find it interesting how other reviews question the cleaning fee when it is very clearly stated. The only thing you need to know is that this hotel is NOT beachfront, it is on the other side of the road. But they have their own beach which is nice. I would recommend it and we will probably stay there again, the pool is perfect."

"The condo was well worth the money. Out condos view wasn't of the ocean but we didn't care. We came to enjoy the beach not to watch it from the balcony. Our room was clean and cozy. The staff was pleasant and respectful. The cleaning fees are an added unnecessary cost but its ok. I wouldn't recommend staying here for less than 4 days because you wouldn't be really getting your moneys worth . Overall our stay was superb !"

"This was our first time in Panama City Beach and it was awesome. There was a slight mishap when checking in but the front desk associate quickly took care of the problem and compensated us with free dinner at Sharkey's. The view from our room was georgous and so was the room itself. At first I was sceptical about having to cross the street to get to the beach but it was no big deal. We are already planning our next trip to include a few friends because we want to share this beautiful city with others.
Also, I read the comment someone left about hidden fees...there are no hidden fees if you read all of the info about the property. It's all there so I knew exactly what to expect."

"The facility was in a great location. Very easy to access the beach from across the street. Love that Sharky's is right across the street. I did not like the 'hidden fees' upon our arrival. I have used bookit.com on numerous occasions. Once there was no extra fees. Once there was a small $60 refundable fee. This time we were hit with a $100 fee and none of it was refundable. It is written in tiny print, but gives no indication of the amount."

"My husband and I enjoyed our 2nd anniversary trip at the Origin at Seahaven Sept 16-19. Our condo was beautiful and spacious. the hotel as nice and clean with polite staff. I appreciated the fully equipped kitchen and the closeness to the beach and other attractions, and the excellent value i received through book-it. My only complains would be that parking got a bit scarce around midnight on Saturday but hey that is to be expected and the wireless as in and out and we were on the 6 floor of a 15 story building...i didn't think that would have been an issue. Overall the condo was nice and i would defiantly stay there again when vacationing in PCB!"

"My wife and I celebrated our first anniversary in September after I booked Origin in early summer during a special. I read through many of the other reviews, so I anticipated the $100 'cleaning fee'. Not sure why they charge such a hefty fee, when they only replace your bath towels upon request. But they did disclose the fee up front, so you can't accuse them of being misleading. But that's the only downside, but if you can get past that, I think you'll really enjoy your stay. We were there at Origin Thurs night through Sunday, and the weather was fantastic!
The view from the sundeck on the 15th floor is incredible, especially on a clear sunny day. I've always been a huge fan of the Gulf, and this is the place to be after the off season cutoff, while it's still warm!
We had a beach view, king-bed room, which was spotless when we got there. The room technically looked out over the pool, but we still had a great view of the beach. The pool deck is a great location, especially along the balcony when you can look out over the street at the ocean. It was nice because we could just cross the street to go spend a few hours at the beach, then come back and jump in either the big pool or hottub (after a quick rinse off under the outdoor shower of course ;)
There are some watersport rentals all along the beachfront across from Origin, and my wife and I took advantage of the early bird special for two hours at one of them (walk left down the beach from Origin). The guy working the front desk at Origin wasn't very helpful at recommending anyone, so we had to go hunting ourselves. Sharkey's restaurant is right across the street from Origin, and it is definitely worth a dinner on their beachfront deck! The Origin had run out of their 'free appetizer' coupons, but the girl at the front desk just called over and let them know we were coming. She was very helpful in answering some of our other questions about the area...so props to the staff.
Origin is only a few blocks away from Ron Jon and the outdoor/indoor mall. It's not too far from Walmart in case you have to buy some last minute groceries/beach supplies. We also went into Panama City for seafood dinner at a local place, Pier 77...which we also highly recommend!
The bottomline line is that we would definitely come back to Origin at Seahaven. We highly recommend it for anyone looking for a pleasant vacation at Panama City Beach! "

"I dont know where to begin! The excellent staff were friendly and very accomadating ! Check in time is 4 pm,not only did we show up at 12noon but we were also a day early....No problem,paid for the extra night and within a half hour were in our beautiful room enjoying the unbeliveable view of the gulf out of the wall to wall floor to almost cieling windows!!!!! We stayed a totel of 6 nights and enjoyed each one better then the one before!!!! I highly recomend the one bedroom condo whitch has the bedroom with tv, full closet, bath and shower and awsome and modern king size bed(very,very,comfortable)....long hallway outside bedroom leads past another very spacious closet(unit has more closet space then anyone could use)into the dining area with nice table and chairs and door to the averge balcony(spent a lot of time there)...off the dining area is the living area with slepper couch and 2nd tv....living area is next to beautiful kitchen with marble top bar and 2 barstools,all modern appliances and all dishes,silverware,glasses and cookware (although no frying pan)you need!!! also around kitchen area is closet witch holds ac unit and stack washer and dryer...closet is next to 2nd (half) bathroom....the value of what we got versus money we spent was excellent...this was our first time to panama city beach and we did far to many things to mention here but here are afew i highley recomend : screamer,sharkeys,the excellent food choices around town,pier park and the day trip to pensacola(make sure when returning from pensacola to come back i think its hwy 399 through the natoonal seashore park...whitest sand ive ever seen and beautiful water)...This was one of the best vacations weve ever had(in the top 3)!!!!!one other thing,I need to give a shout out to the awsome and freindly staff at bookit.com...i stumbled apon them on line and am glad i did... I WILL use them for my next vacation plan for sure...in closing,let me asure you i am not a paid spokesman for origin,panama city beach,or bookit .com......I am just a average blue collar american working man that enjoys not getting ripped off and loves a good deal and getting what I pay for...Thank you"

"We had to pay an additional $130 when we arrived for maid services even though there weren't any services. No clean towels, etc. At check in, the woman at the desk was uninformative and looked like she didn't want to be there. We booked a room with an ocean view. The room we had faced the parking lot. We were able to see the ocean, but it wasn't as expected. Friends stayed down the road for the same price and were actually on the beach as opposed to across the street from it and had great service. I would not stay here again."

"My husband and I have stayed twice at Origin Seahaven. It's a very nice hotel, very comfortable, close to many places and they have good prices. They don't provide room service but my husband and I didn't miss it and we liked it. The only complain is the couch. It was confortable but the back was broke and the internet didn't work for us, other than that everything was good. "

"My fiance and I went down on a Thursday, were checked in quickly, great nights sleep in our beautiful room, got married the next morning at the PC courthouse, then spent the rest of our three night stay doing whatever we wanted. The front desk staff was very polite and helpful. This is my second time staying at Origin and once again I've been very satisfied with my stay! Would recommend this place to anyone!
Another plus is that its right across the road from Sharky's, a very popular beachside restaurant, as well as in walking distance to Pier Park, the new tourist shopping and dining center in PC..LOVE that place!!
The only downfall is no room service, but that is clear from the beginning, rather than a surprise like some reviewers like to make out! As long as you aren't a slob this shouldn't be a problem! "

"The staff was extremely helpfull when we changed rooms and upgraded to a bigger room for a very good price. The new room was very big and comfortable. The beach was just a short walk across the street and we received a great deal on the chairs we rented at the beach that was also part of Orgins. The room was very clean excpet for some stains on the carpet. I would stay there again. It was just across the street from Sharkey's which is a good resturant and bar with good music. The view of the beach from our room was great."

"Recently stayed at the Origin at Seahaven 23-30 Sept. The hotel was very clean, the staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Our room overlooked the ocean just as we requested. When friends arrrived they were first given a room w/o a view but when letting the staff know, they immediately changed their room close to ours also with a view of the ocean. Desk clerk Stacy was absolutely the friendliest person we met while staying at PCB. Sharkey's is across the street and within walking distance and handy for a nightcap but the staff was always rude and food wasn't that great.Seems they are tired of tourist. Take a cab or the free bus to Dusty's, nice place to eat and parking is always packed. Also Mike's Diner and Margaritaville - food was awesome. . All in all our stay was great. We were happy with the great sunshine and the beach access from the Origin is right across the street. WE would definitely stay there again."

"My family and I just came back from our first vacation at Panama City Beach with my in-laws. The Origin was very nice and very convenient to the beach (short walk across the street). We enjoyed the pool and grill on the fourth floor, as well as the gorgeous view of the beach from the balcony. My daughter enjoyed the daily kids' activities. The condo was spacious. The internet and the elevator were a little slow and the carpet could have used a little cleaning, but overall, we enjoyed our 3 bedroom condo. The location was perfect. After reading the reviews about customer service, I was a little skeptical about booking but I have no complaints about anyone on staff. Because I read the reviews and the small print before booking, I was not surprised by the cleaning fees. Also, we did not mind trading our towels or linen on the 4th floor because we went to the pool a lot anyway which is on that floor. Because we had a great experience, we may go back again next year."

"This is our fourth consecutive year staying at Origin. It is across from the beach but you can't tell it is from your room. Elevators are a little slow. Rooms are very clean and very nice. I shop for weeks each summer for the best deals at the best places in Panama City and it always ends up being Origin. No place is perfect but this place is very nice and worth the money easily."

"We have stayed here two year sin a row and have recently booked our third year Very clean upscale decor , nice beach views, the bed is sooo great we were looking for the tag to see what brand it was. Parking garage is nice , always have somewhere safe to park. Staff is very accomadating. You do have to go across the street to get to beach, but it is a very short walk. Elevators are a little slow. Pool, and hottub overlooking are great and overlook Front Beach Road and the beach. HiGHLY RECOMMEND !!!"

THE ROOM WELL ROOMY FOR THE 4 OF US, AND OVERLOOKED THE POOL AREA... I DO THINK THAT THE ROOM COULD HAVE BEEN STOCKED MORE WITH KITCHEN ITEMS AND ITEMS NEEDED TO USE THE GRILL. BUT OVER WAS A NCIE PLACE! THE STAFF WAS VERY NICE & HELPFUL. I DO THINK THAT MORE PARKING IS NEEDED. THE PARKING DECK IS SMALL AND TIGHT. AND ONLY 1 PASS PER ROOM. EACH ADD.
