"I am so grateful for the lovely accommodations at the Laketown Wharf. It absolutely made my stay in Panama City Beach near to perfection. Everything in my condo was right on. The first thing I looked for was the gulf view and it definitely was there. Everything was very clean...how I loved that!!! The condo was equipped with everything I needed, even a washer & dryer. Loved the pools & the fitness center. And Walmart right across the street. I definitely would return to Laketown Wharf on my next visit to the Emerald Coast. "

"There is not one bad thing I can say about this Laketown Wharf..
This is absolutely the best and most stress free vacation I have ever been on.
Staff is so friendly and helpful.
We had a one bedroom and it was huge for four people, there could easy stay 2 more if it allowed it.
Walmart is right across the street making getting groceries to cook easy.
I will come back next break and stay for the whole week.
Loved the nightly watershow and all the pools.
If I could rate this hotel higher than 5 I would give it a 20******

"Excellent, Excellent, Excellent. The rooms were just as pictured. I had the two bedroom with bunk bed condo. The rooms were very clean save one very small spot (penny size spill/chocolate stain?) on the carpet against the wall and under the tall dinning table that looks as if somebody missed when cleaning. Extra towels in the rooms as well as laundry area so never had a shortage of towels. The staff was very friendly. My wife is very hard to please when it comes to hotels and she was even impressed! Yes the elevators were slow during peak time but I often had zero wait time and maybe 1 - 2 minute wait. There is also another set of elevators midway down the side of the building. Not bad overall though for a resort this size and I was on vacation so no hurry here. Wal-Mart right behind the hotel was very convenient. I would recommend Laketown Wharf to anyone that asks. I will stay their again next year. The light show was cool for the kids and the pools were nice. Hot tub pretty roomy, not huge but fits 20-25 easily. Walk to the beach 70 yards or so and I had a great view of the gulf. One major complaint... sorry but I do not have one other than the room was so nice it almost made me want to stay in!!! If you can, get a room here and you will not regret it."

"Beautiful development with alot of potential when the economy turns. All of the retail shops on the first floor are vacant, so you have to shop elsewhere (no problem for my wife). The development is perfectly centered within an equillateral triangle with the points being the beach, walmart, and a full service liquor store. Even the Mayans couldn't plan it better!"

"The hotel was nice. We enjoyed the pool on the ground floor. We liked that it had the bar with food and drinks available. The room was nice. The beach access was very convienent.
Our only problem was with the staff at the front desk. They were very rude. We got to the hotel at 2pm under the impression that we could check in around 3pm. The guy at the front desk was very arrogant and told us that check in was not garunteed until 6pm. Check out is at 10am so you are loosing almost a whole day waiting on your room to get ready. I am not sure why they need that much time to get the room ready.

"Everything was wonderful. Felt right at home. The condo was very spacious and clean. Its was everything we needed. Plenty of towels. Restaurants within walking distance. "Excellent! Although there was construction where the nice meditation deck was I enjoyed my stay. I had the two bedroom condo with the balcony overlooking the gulf and front door facing the nice lake. I am already planning my stay for next year! I traveled with my three kids and husband and everyone enjoyed the condo and all the amenities. Sure the elevators were slow, but I already knew that and did not affect me. "This was our second stay at this resort. The resort is a good value and is much cheaper than other resorts with views of the gulf. My biggest issue was the onsite construction of the property. We were not told of the construction when we booked our room. The construction caused one of the pools to be closed and made the others very dirty. Styrofoam particles were ALL over the other pools and the staff didn't seem too concerned with the trash. The construction was done during 'normal' business hours, but it is hard to relax and enjoy the ocean with all the construction noise.
My other complaint involves the grills onsite. We were told that there were grills onsite for use by the guests of the resort. However, when we wanted to use the grills, we learned that the grills and the area around them were rented out to a private party. Our night in turned in to an unplanned night out. This was very inconvenient and expensive for our group of 6."

"I booked a vacation for my birthday with some of my girlfriends and this was truly a great trip. The hotel would have been perfect if it wasn't for the slow elevators and the parking. We were on the 21st floor and it took an extremely long time to get on and off (because it would stop on every floor going down) the elevator every time we had to use it. For such a large establishment 4 elevators is not sufficient to accommodate everyone. The hotel should really invest in installing at least 4 more elevators. Other than that the room was great and the view was amazing. It was in a great location and there was so much space so everyone was comfortable. The hotel offered a lot of different activities and the staff was very nice and helpful. The only other thing I didn't like is that they served small breakfast items but they charged for each item. To me it should have been free seeing that it was such an inconvenience to get downstairs to get them. Yet, I would definitely stay there again. The good outweighed the bad and the view of the ocean I woke up to each morning made the overall stay and vacation a great one."

"This is the place you need to be if your visiting Panama Beach. This was our first visit and our next vacation, will be here as well. Everything was excellent! This was the safest I have ever felt at a hotel/condo. All you want or need is right there, or across the street at wal mart.We didn't have any problems with the elevators, and had a great time at ALL the pools, (remember to take your own beach towels) This is a great place to take the whole family! Me, my husband, and son were on the 7th floor and saw the most awesome view of the gulf of mexico (I couldn't tell I wasn't on the beach)it was almost like being on a beach in Hawaii! (humidity/here) I will definitely choose this hotel for my next vacation/visit to Panama Beach and would recommend this place to everyone! The staff was very friendly and helpful, I wish I had written all their names down so I could thank them-AGAIN-you all are wonderful :-)"

"This is my third visit to Laketown Wharf, and I have been very satisfied with the hotel from past visits; however this particular visit was AWFUL!!! I booked a vacation with Laketown Wharf for June 3-5, 2012, only to find that upon arrival there was a notice posted on the elevator that their water would be shut down for 4 hours! Well, it lasted 6 hours! Due to this error, we lost money and our vacation was ruined! I called to inquire about the shutdown and the desk clerk rudely informed me of how unpleasant SHE felt about the whole experience herself and that SHE was not having fun either!!!Another front desk clerk actually suggested that we shower at the pool area!! I will not return to this hotel. This is very unfortunate, because I have booked through their company in the past, and it is usually my first choice, but I am very disappointed with the treatment we received, and the time and money lost on this vacation. Also, there is an adult pool on the 10th floor that was ambushed by teenagers and kids. Management should provide better accomodations for adults who pay good money to relax at their establishment. We did not get to enjoy anything on this trip! Highly dissatisfied."

"We stayed at LakeTown Wharf in 2010 and were very,very pleased! I am a VERY picky person & very hard to please when it comes to where I stay somewhere. We stayed in the 2 bedroom/2bath and it was HUGE!!! The masterbath was as big as my kitchen! We are going back to PCB,FL in 11 days & we are staying there again this year. I am sooooo EXCITED!! We stayed at The Boardwalk condo beach resort last year & I was soooo disappointed with our room. It was supposed to be a queen size bed & it was a full size in the master bedroom. The floors were so nasty. Anyway,I HIGHLY RECMMEND LAKETOWN WHARF!!!! Can't wait to stay there again this year!!!!!"

"I was disappointed to find there is a RESORT FEE. They call it a non-refundable damage waiver that you cannot opt out of. The woman at the front desk even described as being like a resort fee. "'LOVED, LOVED, LOVED IT!' We have been looking around Panama City Beach for the perfect condo and I must say....We've found it! They had everything there like we never left home. Wine bottle opener, toaster, blender , mixer, pot& pans, plenty towels (and you know hard it is to come by towels on vacation LOL)! The view and the breeze from the balcony was beautiful. I like the fact that it was not directly on Front Beach Road but right on the beach. Front Beach Road is always busy and noisy, but we were in a perfect spot. We could literally sleep with the balcony door open without the disturbance of the noise from street. My kids were super excited! The light show on the water at 8:30 every night was a special treat for us...I think we made plans around it! There were 3 pools - one on the ground floor, a hot tub and a family pool on the 10th floor, and a kiddie pool on the 4th floor. We visited all three and they were well maintained. There were a couple of grills and tables on the back of the condos if you wanted to grill out. SWEET! I wish I would have known that before I came, I would have squeezed that into my itinerary! And the piece de resistance of the trip was...drum roll please...A Wal-Mart right at your back door! It's as if you cross the street and you're in Wal-Mart's parking lot. If you have kids, you know how important a nearby Wal-Mart is! I didn't deal much with the staff because everything was right at our fingertips. Oh the side by side fridge was a plus too..no need to look for an ice machine, because your fridge was full of it! I could go on and on but I think this is enough. WE will most definitely be back in July and we will be staying at the Laketown Wharf!"

"I am really pleased with Laketown Wharf, it exceeded my expectations. Nice clean, comfortable, and they even gave me a 3rd bedroom. The view is beautiful although not directly on the beach. i was on the 15th floor ocean view, very nice, They have free wi-fi and parking. The beach is only across the parking lot, a few steps away. Water dancing, was pretty!"

"I loved the property and the rates were great! The room was amazing and had a great gulf view. Our only problem was that someone kept trying to come into our room early in the morning on the day we were checking out. The rooms don't have keys just a combo key pad. Two different people tried to come in. This was a little concerning to us."

"Our stay (my husband and I) at the Laketown Wharf in Panama City, FL was awesome! The condo was very clean and provided enough of the necessities (paper towels, dish soap, etc) for the entire time we were there (three nights). All we had to do was buy our food. The view of the Gulf of Mexico was excellent even though the condos are located across the street from the Gulf. The 'Dancing Fountains' were also awesome to watch. We will definitely stay there again!"

"This was a great place to stay! I researched commentary and it was right in that this is the right selection to choose. I had family stay at the Boardwalk and I'd suggest Laketown Wharf over those condos. Laketown Wharf was much cleaner, much more modern/decorated very nice and spacious! We were very happy with our selection. It was nice having a full kitchen in the condo also and Walmart is very close by so you can get items you need. The beach was in short walking distance from the condos. My 3 year old did very well at this place. It took me a second to figure out the elevators in that you push the floor you're on and then it automatically shows you which elevator to ride and brings you to that floor...neat after you figure all that out (no pushing buttons inside, so don't just hop on one without putting your floor number outside the elevator key first). I'd suggest staying here to anyone!"

"This was the first time that i had choose to accomodate myself at the resort. I was very sceptical but i very happy with the choice i made.
This is a very beautiful resort, the room are very big and spacious. the location is very convenient since it has all the convenence to walmart, walgreens, macdonalds gas stations and the beach.

"As always- this condo was so comfortable. Very safe and beds in all of the rooms were exceptionally comfortable. Would have been nice if the 10th floor pool area would designate a smoking area and enforce it- it is large enough that it would be respectful if folks would smoke in the far corner near restroom end - and pool hours need to be extended. 10 pm is way too early to close a pool in pc. We like to have dinner and then chill at or by the pool and use hot tub. As for the inside of the condo- I have never seen one nicer and I have checked at much nicer appearing resorts but nope they can't compare."

"It was off season and the rate I got was unbelievable - can't get a one room hotel for the price I paid for a 2 1/2 bedroom (bunk-bed built into a small hall area) and 2 bath, full kitchen with eat-in bar and living area and huge patio over looking the gulf. We were thrilled! I will be back!"

"I own an older condo at the other end of Panama City Beach which was occupied by family, so I decided to stay at Laketown Wharf for a quick getaway. I enjoyed my stay. The condo room was spacious, clean and well equipped. My only complaint would be the elevators. I stayed during the off season, so I can't imagine what the elevators are like during the summer time. I am used to hopping on an elevator and being on the ground in about 1 minute. You should not be allowed to have such a large building with so few elevators. I would stay again at Laketown and I would recommend it to people, but I would advise them about the elevator situation. Be prepared to wait 10 - 15 minutes for one when it is busy! Plan ahead when you and everyone else is checking out!"

"Absolutely amazing stay at Laketown. The location was in almost the middle of the Thunder Beach Rally and all the activities. Across the street was Pine Applle Willy's where we enjoyed great food and entertainment. The staff at the Laketown Wharf were out standing and willing to answer many questions from the first timers to Panama City Beach. The rooms were excellent in everyway and I could not have been happier with the cost through Bookit.com. I was not aware of the $40.00 cost at check in but that was probably my own fault for not reading the conformation email completely. I would recomend the Laketown Wharf to anyone looking for comfort at a good price. The fountain in the lake was worth the stay in itself. Remarkable show!!!!"

"Excellent stay, resort nice, staff friendly nice and helpful, cleaning people friendly and helpful, dazzling light show at night stunning. This resort is very nice it has 5 pools that are like ice water for the hott afternoons in Fla. I would highly recommend anyone to stay at this resort. Also, on 9/10/11, they had a tribute to 9/11 tragedy. Fireman came and climbed 21 flights of stairs 5-6 times for the 10 year anniversary to 9/11. It was TOUCHING and AMAZING! Hats off to them and the resort crew! I will stay again and recommend to all!"

"My family stayed there for 4 days - it was wonderful! Tons of places to eat, things to do and walking distance to the beach. ONLY 2 complaints - the construction right in front of the building makes it hard to get on and off the property and housekeeping beats on your door so hard in the mornings it will scare you right out of your sleep!
Super Walmart is acorss the street so grocery shopping was easy and we saved tons of money cooking in the condo and only going out for dinner.
My 4 teenage boys loved it and want to return ASAP : ) "

"This is the most amazing hotel I have ever stayed in and at the time we stayed the rate was only $99 per night. For a hotel as nice and clean as this one in the perfect location that it is in, if I had to stay again I would probably pay twice as much. The staff is the friendliest staff of any hotel I've ever stayed at and everybody is just so nice !!!! The pools were crystal clear. There are a few different pools to choose from. The hot tub was really nice and big enough to probably fit 20 people so there was plenty of room for my wife and I to sit by ourselves away from a group of about 10 people sitting on the other side. The light show every night is really cool too. Our balcony overlooked the beach and out our front door overlooked the lake. I was extremely surprised that we got as nice of a room as we did for only $99. As my title for this review says, my wife and I went on our honeymoon here. Being that Pineapple Willy's is in front of the hotel and WalMart is right behind the hotel, anything you need is walking distance away LoL. The beach is right across the street. I would say the beach is probably around 100 yards from the parking lot of Laketown Wharf. I would highly, highly, highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone !!!! If you want a really nice, clean hotel to stay in with an amazing view, a super friendly staff, and right across the street from the beach, you should definitely book this hotel. I just can't say too many good things about this place. It is truly an amazing deal !!!!"
