"We didn't know that the condo was owned by an individual. We had to check in a mile away from our condo. So the front desk at our condo actually didn't have anything to do with us if we needed something. The phone in the room didn't work. The furniture had been drawn on in several places and was dirty. The TV's didn't have cable or satellite. If we would have known this information up front, we would have picked somewhere else to stay."

"Taking our children and grandchildren to the beach. We got a three bedroom three bath condo with bunkbeds on the 6th floor. Condo had plenty of room, but beds were hard and pillows were flat. The lighting was very poor, but all in all the condo was wonderful. Beach could not have been more perfect and walk over is no problem. Even our little ones didn't complain! Pools were great but I do think they should let you stay in hot tubs later than 10 pm. We got ran out most every night. We stayed 5 nights and the place is truly wonderful. Would definately go back.."

"We stayed two nights at Laketown Wharf. It took some time to find the Royal American Hospitality location. Once we found that we were able to check in with no problems. The main elevators are ridiculously slow, but once you find the side elevators it is quicker! One pool was being renovated, but the others were fine just a little small. My 3 year old loved the kiddie pool, and the entertainment around the main pool was fun. The mattresses were horrible on all 4 beds. We had a king, sleeper sofa, and two bunks. The rooms were very clean, but we kept getting the run around about the wifi. Laketown Wharf told us to contact Royal Am. Hospitality and then they would tell us to call the other.

We ended up staying an extra night. We were moved to a different room which was nicer. All of the beds were MUCH more comfortable, wifi wasn't an issue, hair dryers in both bathrooms, and the cost was basically the same and the service was better because we were dealing only with the staff at Laketown Wharf.

We would stay at Laketown Wharf again."

"We really enjoyed Laketown Wharf and would stay there again! The walk to the beach is a short distance and really no burden at all. The pools are a lot of fun as well. Only downside to the Cabana Pool is that no outside coolers are allowed, thereby requiring you to buy from the Cabana when thirsty and/or hungry. No other cooler restrictions at the other pools around the resort. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Although arm bands are required for pool access, they were more than willing to provide an addtional band for our guests that visited for the day. As with the other reviews, the elevators are a little slow, but with a resort of this size its to be expected. I've stayed at several other resorts w/i PCB and elevator slowness is always experienced. The only downside was that we were not granted the free wifi service since we booked through Royal American (RA) Had we not had access to an aircard, I couldn't state for certain that we'd stay at Laketown by ways of RA again. All in all a cool resort and our kids had a blast!"

"We stayed at Laketown Wharf for a family vacation for 5 nights. Overall the place was nice. Our younger kids really enjoyed the nightly light show and the pools never seemed too crowded. The place is in a great location too. Wal-Mart is right across the street and you are right across the street from the beach. There is a restaurant in front of the place and the beach is behind it.rnThere were a few problems we encountered though. rnFirst of all the elevators were really slow the entire time we were there. We found the elevators at the ends of the building were a little faster than the main elevator. We also had trouble with the elevators in the North parking garage. Second, we have small kids who loved the pools. but from our room, the kids pool on the 4th floor was over a five minute walk to get to. The pool out on the lake was also a 5 minute or more walk. The place was so big and very spaced out that it was a little difficult with little kids. The room itself was big enough, but there were a few things missing....mainly a trash can. rnI would stay again though if my kids were older."

"Everything was great. Stayed only 3 nights (was way too short) but enjoyed it. We only visited two of the pools but they were great. We were on the 19th floor so could see the beach and ocean from our balcony. The one bedroom with bunkbeds was good for our family with 2 teenagers although next time we will get a bigger room if we can. The condo was spacious. We used the kitchen and liked being able to grill out one night to save money. Enjoyed being able to do a little laundry before we left for home but beware the last users may not clean the dryer lint out. The main elevator was a little slow when it is normal check in time so we just used the elevators at the ends of the hotel. The bar has awesome margaritas but was disappointed that it closed at 5pm. I liked that Walmart was behind it and a restaurant across the street (a little pricey for not being a great restaurant though). Checking in and out was easy and the employees we curteous. Parking really isnt that bad just expect to use the parking garages. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay and are ready to go back but will plan for a longer trip for sure so we can enjoy everything in Panama City and the condo too!"

"Laketown wharf is a really nice resort however, was not happy with the fact that some basics were missing - there is no wifi for royal american guests and the tv we had no cable and we couldn't use the dvd player. The nightly light show was cool and the entertainement around the main pool was also fun."

"The Room was very nice and we loved the view. Very Clean and pleasent quiet place to stay. Just seconds from everything you could want to do at the beach. Only down fall was the elevators! Dont get into a hurry trying to get to your rooms or the ground floor because they are very different from anywhere else i have ever been. At one point we decided to take the stairs from the 13th floor and it actually happened to be faster!"

"Did not get into room until 7pm Was moved to different property. Even after that the room was not cleaned, had to find food under couch. Staff was efficient but after a call had to be made. Room was nice and location good but the delays are tough after having a long trip."

"The room was very nice, we apparently were renting an 'owners unit' and everything was fully stocked including plenty of pillows and blankets. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything required to cook, eat, drink, or anything else you can think of, The elevators were beyond terrible, you could wait up to a half hour for an elevator easily. The elevator systems were beyond ridiculous. We asked for additional towels and toilet paper and were rudely told to go buy some on our own. The security guards were rude all the time, can understand because its spring break but they need to use better discretion. We were carrying up bags, food, and had all our hands full, we waited 20 mins for an elevator finally it comes and there are employees in it who told us to wait for another one, i attempted to get on and they said too bad its full. This is completely disrespectful as an employee should wait on a guest to use an elevator not disrespect someone who is paying good money to go on a vacation and enjoy their time not having to deal with the rudeness of employees."

"As a group of teachers my friends and I wanted to get away for a relaxing week at the beach at a small price. We were amazed when we entered Laketown Wharf! It was incredible! There was plenty of room, it was spotless and over all exceeded our expectations! We will definitely be returning!"

"A party of 8 stayed at the Wharf and it was an awesome experience. Everything was clean, beautiful view, the unit had everything you needed and it was comfortable. The swimming pools were all well kept and clean. The beach was beautiful and such clear waters was very much to my liking. I can't say anything negative about the place. I would love to go again and would recommend it to anyone else. "
