"I usually do not write reviews after a stay. But, I felt compelled to do so after staying at Carillon Beach over Labor Day weekend. The room was clean, large and nicely stocked. The grounds were well kept and very quiet. We rode the kayak in Lake Carillon for about an hour and did not have to pay the rental fee. We also took a stroll around the city center and lounged by the pool for several hours.

If I had to name a drawback, it would be that there is very little to do in the evenings. The front desk closed at 8pm. The bar closed at 10pm and the shoppes closed at 6pm. This is a big drawback when you stay there with the plans of 'never having to leave the grounds' as it is advertised. We had plans to just eat at the shoppes and get drinks at the bar, but after lounging by the pool and exploring the grounds there wasn't much time to do so.

All this aside, the resort was a great deal and a great find if you are looking for a relaxing and quiet stay at a very reasonable price then Carillon Beach is it."

"Great Place to visit, only a few minor issues. There is an extra pet charge that I was unaware of, the Internet access was not working, someone was coming by to check it, but was coming to early, so they were pushed to 10:00 am, but they never came back. I was expecting a little more out of the resort, but most all there were very friendly and helpful."

"We were placed on first floor and our back balcony did face Lake Powell but since the beach is beyond a entire subdivision of houses and there's no way that could even happen. The room was adequate, but I just feel I was misled and that the price was too high for those accomdations. This was a quickly made reservation and I do appreciate finding a room on short notice."

"Our family had been looking forward to this trip for months. We also invited Friends that had kids the same age as our own. I have been to Panama City Beach several times, so I know what I want in booking a location. The first night we get there, the main pool is closed for a wedding reception, next day they are suppose to offer beach shuttle, they take you there good luck getting back!!! next day golf carts aren't working! I also thought there would be no cleaning fee, and maybe there isn't as long as YOU clean before you leave! I The next time i book a room on the beach, I will book it myself, that way when I drive 700 miles and spend $2500 to wake up to here the ocean, I will have know one to blame but myself!!!!"

"Room was very clean. No door on bedroom which was a bit of a downer considering it was my husband, my self and my two daughters--no privacy from the kids. Hotel said all rooms are that way. Scenery was breathtaking grounds very clean lots of neat shops on grounds with good places to eat. Panama city pricey to eat in for family no matter where you go unless fast food!! Beach at the carillon was beautiful no over crowded, pools clean and very pretty. Great place to get away and unwind. Not on beach but short walk. Not many fish in pond. Bar at the hotel very very pricey!!"

"We stayed in a room that was just acquired from another owner. We were the first guest to use the room under the new ownership. Overall the room had a nice apperance, but we had some issues. The tub was badly stained and we found out why after the first person took a shower; by the time the shower was over you were standing in ankle deep water. Maintenance was quick to unclog and much later housekeeping came to clean the tub. A couple of days later the toilet wouldn't flush. This was just an unsanitary stay. The phone in the room didn't work until the day we left because it had not been transferred to the new owner. Cell phone service was hit and miss and no internet access. We had a stranger to open the door the first day there. The bed/bedroom was there right at the door; along with the bathroom. It would be better situated at the rear of the room. We had four people in the room, so when other guests had to come to the bathroom, they had no privacy."

"This is an excellent choice if you want to get away from all the local traffic. It was exactly as described. The room did have one set back if you are staying at the Inn. The bathroom sink is in the hallway and the rest is right off the master so their is no privacy if you are planning on staying in the One bedroom deluxe ocean view and going to try and use the sofa sleeper for any additional guest which we did not. The resort was a perfect setting for myself and everything was as expected. I highly recommend the Spa that is on site. The beach access was a 4 minute walk and the pool access was right on site along with hot tub. If you need your electronics i.e. cell phone and lap top it is a hit or miss with reception and WIFI in the room. The front desk met any need that I requested. Pier Park is a 15 minute drive and you have Publix and a Winn Dixie on each corner. Will stay again."

"We stayed the weekend of June 9th. Loved our stay here! The views were amazing beautiful! The main pool was breath taking!

Staff was very friendly. We had a hole in our wall that we from the door knob that we didn't notice our first night and told the front office, and they were cool with it and told us not to worry about it.

Also loved how the resort was its own lil town. Very cute!

The only downfall is NO CELL PHONE SERVICE and to get into the heart of PCB was about 15 mins long.
