"I was very disappointed in this resort. I was ready to leave after the first night. First, I am met with a time share presentation to upgrade to a VIP status. What did I get? Nothing really. Just a few sandwiches that you had to wait in line for. One time they ran out before I could get there. I was in the north tower which is older. The rooms were small. The kitchen is large enough for one person. The master bedroom did not have any windows and you could hardly put your suitcases in because they were so small. The elevators took forever. The pool was smaller than the pictures represent. The staff was excellent. However, I was not impressed with this resort at all. Will I be back. Nope."

"This was our second year staying and it was a great vacation. We had 40 family memebers staying at this summer and everyone of us enjoyed our stay. The staff is great they are all very friendly and make sure your stay is pleasant. I really liked the concierge, he came out by the pool after we had been there several days and made sure our visit was going well, visited with us and asked if there was anything we needed. The resort is very clean, rooms are great and pool are was a hit with the whole group. WE are planning on returning again next year."

"We had a great time. The hotel was very nice. Our refridgerator went out the first night, but they came right up and had a new refridgerator in within the hour. The staff was very nice and they had fun games and activities for the kids. The pool is excellent for small children. This hotel is a little way out from the boardwalk and all, but that meant less traffic for us. We couldn't walk to stores and all, but it wasn't a far drive. We had 40 family members staying at this hotel and everyone was happy. We are already planning our trip for next year."

"This was our 4th time to stay at The Cove, but we won't be returning. We had to pay a lot more this year, and we were not happy with a few things this time around. Ownership has changed, and they are obviously cutting some corners. Any time we visited the front desk (at least once a day to swap out linens, etc.), we had to wait in line, as there was only 1 clerk whereas there were at least 2 in previous stays. As a more serious issue - a safety issue - our dishwasher was not attached to the floor or counter and almost fell out on me. Also, the condo played loud music at the pool and we could not enjoy a quiet time to just listen to the sounds of the ocean. We finally complained about the music after a few days, and they did turn it down, but it was still loud and annoying."

"We had a couple of minor issues with the interior doors not closing tightly and our balcony door did not lock properly. Be prepared for the tour offer from the 'club' people, but they accept a 'no thank you' without further pressure. Overall, the room had a good layout, great view and was well equiped. The hotel is in a great location, has an excellent staff and we had a wonderful family vacation on the beach."

"Had a great vacation but there were a few things missing from the room. The door did not have a chain or latch on it so it was very unsafe. One of the children staying with us sleptwalked and was able to leave the room in the middle of the night. Would really like to see something much more secure. Also, the shower did not have any shelves or places to put toiletries. It was very difficult to manage toiletries for multiple people using the same shower. If you are using a sleeper sofa I recommend bringing your own blanket; the one provided by the resort was extremely thin and cheap; it was like not having a blanket at all and we had to buy our own. The pool is great but for the price paid I think the daily activities and snacks provided should be free of charge. I would probably stay there again mainly for the pool area which the kids loved."

"This is our second year staying here. It is the most kid friendly place we have stayed. Great deal for condo with washer and dryer. Keep in mind they do try to get you to do a 90 min presentation to sell you some timeshare like deal, and lure you with free breakfast and lunch. We avoid it and really aren't pestered too much during our trip, thankfully. The kids activities this year were not as fun as last year. Only thing I saw was a hula hoop contest. The guy last year was great witn a pirate game in the pool. We definitely plan to return, though."

"I was so impressed when we arrived at our condo. Clean, the view from the 5th floor was great, the pool area was a lifesaver because the weather wasn't the greatest to be in the ocean. There are grills to cook or a fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, cleaning suppllies. The only thing I was disapointed in was that I was told we could smoke on the balcony-YOU CAN NOT. DO NOT EVEN TRY, they'll fine you. Not in the pool area either. I can understand that though as it is a very clean facility. They also have beach chairs and umbrellas to use. Internet was $30 for the week. Overall, great vacation, fabulous facility."

"Beautiful condo! We stayed 2 nights in the South tower in a two bedroom unit, and it was very nicely decorated, large, and had comfortable beds. Pillows were a little too pouffy for me though. We called the staff when had a problem starting a DVD, and they came right over. The pool wasn't heated, but we're from Florida, so that was a little cool for us, and we were going through a rare cool spell. Beach was great!"

The only draw back from our stay was, when we needed clean towels we would have to take our dirty ones and exchange them for clean towels at the front desk. Not a fan of dragging dirty towels down to front desk, where people are checking in and out.. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.."

"Our overall experience was good. My first complaint is about the wifi. It was terrible. I was not told in the 'amenities' section that wifi was extra, it just says 'available'. Available to me was that I would need a code or something. No! I had to try to go online with the 'limited' access, then pay $30 for a week of wifi, then not be able to use it when I needed it. Calling the front desk was useless because they did not provide it. I spent 2 hrs. on my cell phone( their phone costs .75/call). I kept getting a message saying 'invalid IP' ? Tech support asked me to go to the lobby and try to sign in so they could see what was wrong. No! I had paid for this service. Upon checking out the lady at the desk said that no guests in that building had been able to get wifi and that I should contact the co. Easy to pass the buck. i would like my $30 refunded please! Next gripe, the consiere(?) service calls everyday and pushes your participation in activities so they can PUSH timeshare junk. NO! Leave me alone! Also, outdoor pool closes at dusk, along with the hot tub. This just stinks!"

"We had to find a place to stay for the last 3 nights of our vacation. Our ownership condo was full, so I looked online for several days to try to find something 'comparable' with at least one bedroom, and directly on the ocean. We stayed on the 6th floor of the south tower for 3 nights over spring break. They did have our room ready by 2:00, 2 hours ahead of when check-in officially started, so that was good. Parking was good, very close to the building, and free. However, there was only one elevator for the entire building, and it was pretty slow. We found that during the evening, when people were checking in with the luggage carts loaded, you could wait in line for a time or two for the elevator to be available. Our room was pretty clean, with 2 full sliding doors overlooking the ocean. Bedroom was a decent size, with a safe in the closet. Bed comfortable, but every pillow was like a big poofy rock. Nice television, flat screen, in the bedroom. Couldn't hear any noise from other units/hallway when in bedroom. Nice view from the balcony. Pull out couch, shared by my son and his friend, had a pretty flimsy mattress. But overall, not bad. Great TV, very large flatscreen, mounted on the wall in the LR. Very clean unit overall, and the washer and dryer, though extremely small, worked very well. They gave us 1 packet of detergent and charged a dollar for each additional packet needed. After paying almost $600 for 3 nights, felt they could have given a few more for 'free.' Also, the towels were a joke. Only given 1 towel/guest. Could exchange them, but again, were not 'allowed' to have more than 4 body towels. Every woman I know uses an extra towel for their head. Therefore, did a lot of laundry of towels. Jetted tub worked well. Sink area small- but overall, bathroom, with ventilation, cleared of steam rather quickly. Great how they give you chairs for the beach. But at the same time, you had to go onto the beach because the pool area was so SMALL and SHADED for people who like to lay in the sun. Very disappointed in the pool, and that can be a deal-breaker for me. Had a great time in Daytona, but will hopefully stay in our unit next time."

"My sisters and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cove on Ormond Beach. We stayed in the North tower in a two bedroom suite. It was beautiful. Very clean and well furnished. We did use the kitchen facilities, and found everything we needed. The pool area was great. Everyone enjoyed the lazy river and flume ride. We just wished the water in the pool was a bit deeper as it's less than 4 feet deep. That is really the only improvement I would make to this whole place. It was awesome!!"
