Spent the weekend for a business trip. The drive from the Florida east coast was relaxing on 60. Had a hard time finding the check in location at night. Plenty of parking around building where I stayed, by the Saloon. Didn't like all the noisy golf carts driving around and seemed a bit like amateur hour. Not everyone drives those well. The walls of the rooms were thin, I could hear people talking around me. The store for food and supplies is open late, much appreciated. Great place for families,... Read more

An excellent destination for family and friends. We have been going to this location/resort for years and always find it rewarding and fun. Plenty of activities for kids of all ages. We had some families Glamping and others set up a full camp site and cooked on a fire. Be sure to get a camp site under the trees. November to March is best to avoid excessive heat and insects. If you decide to camp, be sure you have the wherewithal. Most dogs are welcome.

Lovely setting just a short distance from Orlando, but feels like you're in the country. Various lodging options and lots of activities including a rodeo every Sat night, rain or shine. They also have an annual classic car show every January that was wonderful. Plenty of animals to pet and ride and so much to do. Great place for a family with children.

We took our dad here for his 75th birthday celebration, which included our young children. We had been here several times before, but this was our first experience staying in the new Luxe Teepees. We also had a Rail Car in the Saddle Club. Both accommodations were excellent. The Luxe Teepee concierge, Laila (originally from Copenhagen, Denmark), was the best! She went out of her way to accommodate our requests, made good suggestions for things to do, and made us feel right at home! The only neg... Read more

Was excited to bring the kids to this sprawling ranch for a unique vaca. only to be overcharged ($280) for a substandard cavelike lodge room. Room was tiny for our family of five. No other options available upon asking. All kids activities end at around 4 pm which is around time when we checked in. Nothing four year old could do anyway because he wasn't tall enough. Pool closed at dusk which left us with nothing to do. Went to the restaurant and waited forever for average BBQ dinner. Room very ... Read more

Lots of good and bad. I knew about the resort since the 80's and before Westgate owned it. We drove by last winter break for lunch and had thought our teens would like a vacation there someday. Late summer I made our reservation for this trip. Not a lot of availability so I reserved 2 nights in a railcar. We flew in a small plane on Friday and flew out Sunday morning. First positive was the young man in security who helped us several times. He is the reason i gave 2 stars for service instead of ... Read more

We went over New Year's weekend knowing it would be busy. Paid $287.00 to do the glamorous glamping (camping) Joke- Congested area, broken lamps, dirty floor, moldy tent, broken furniture, fire extinguisher in tent 2 years out of date. Food- Got a turkey rueben it was all sauerkraut, had them take it back and asked where was the turkey, 20 min. later received sandwich minus the sides and 3 skinny pieces of turkey for 11.00. My son's burger had small pieces of foil in it and the rest was medioc... Read more

This is our third year with the glamping adventure at this time of year. It's a great time with the family. This year we discovered that the beds in the tents are real mattresses, which were very comfortable. The glamping area is very nice, plenty of shade, picnic tables, gas grills, big fire pits for campfires at night. We had our own private bathroom/shower in the bathouse which is a real luxury when camping. It's pretty expensive to sleep in a tent, but the glamping ammenities are extens... Read more

We booked 4 days at the campground for thanksgiving. Bathhouse was dirty, campground was a field with water & electric hook up. The other campers were great & we met some nice folks. I was very excited to shoot some skeet & trap & introduce my family to the sport. There are 6 (I think) trap/skeet fields but it only appears they use maybe 3. We brought our own guns & shells, the charge was $25 per game! On top of that they did not want to open the skeet range until I insisted. They push their ver... Read more

This is a difficult review to write because I had high hopes for our experience at this resort. Our family of 6 stayed the weekend before thanksgiving for 4 nights. We were unable to get into the 2 bedroom timeshares and settled for 2 hotel rooms. The hotel is a 2 story building that is more like a motel design. The rooms are furnished nicely, but are small. The bathroom is very small. There is a closet, but you must squeeze between the wall and the bed to get to it. Large TV's with cable... Read more
