We arrived early and the room was ready for us, with a beautiful view of the pools and expansive golf resort. The beds were heavenly, the food at the reasonably priced Market was great, and the staff were all friendly, courteous and ever helpful. "When we first arrived we noticed how clean and well kept the property was. The front desk clerk offered to up grade our room at no chg. so we'd be closer to the elevators and pool. The pool is heated and very clean. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Maid service very efficient and friendly. The six or seven restaurants in the hotel are fabulous! We had sushi , tacos, sandwiches, filet mignon, sea bass, at a few of the places , and breakfast at the buffet. All was delicious, especially A Land Remembered steakhouse, it is worth the money! The prices in all the restaurants were reasonable and food was plentiful. the valet parking is nice and some reviews said that the parking lot was too big to walk if you self park, but it is not. All the staff were friendly . We would definitely stay here again."

"We had the best time! The hotel staff was really friendly and the grounds were awesome! We were there during a huge convention which had the double bed rooms all sold out so they upgraded us to a studio. In there we had a bar area with a large fridge and microwave, a dining table, a couch, coffee table and 3 side chairs. the doors opened up to the golf course. it was stunning! the location was great 4 miles to universal and 5 to sea world! We would definately stay here again!!"

"My family stayed here for one night after a long day at Sea World. I found this beautiful hotel for a great price and thought it sounded too good to be true, but really it was even better than I expected. The resort was amazing, the pools looked so nice but sadly it was a little too cold ouside for us to enjoy that amenity. The hotel staff was very friendly and the resort itself was very clean. I was expecting to have to pay $16 for parking when I checked in, but found a pleasant surprise when told my reservation came with free self parking, free use of wifi, free use of the fitness center, and 25% off food and other resort amenities. I really wish I could have stayed longer. The room was nice and overlooked the tennis and volleyball courts. The beds were wonderfully comfortable and the shower worked great. I really recommend this hotel if you can find it at the right price."

"The hotel was beautiful, we booked two rooms and when we checked in they only showed one reservation. Luckily I had my confirmation with me. Once I showed them the confirmation they gave us two rooms close to each other. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Valet parking was a nightmare. "The resort did a great job of exuding the 'Christmas spirit' by having in lobby performances by Carolers and Dancers. The Hotel itself has a Grand presentation, and is clean. If the resort falls short in areas it is in the fact that while the front desk is amply staffed the rest of the place seems like a ghost town. Plenty of Guests and few employees to help in overall directions or helpfulness. The rooms are pretty average size, and Offer very little noise buffering from the halls. I heard every drunk come down the corridor from the elevators to their rooms. Very Loud. I also did not see any other security past the front gate coming into the property. Great pool areas for kids and adults. Overall an alright stay, but the hotel could use some 'warming up' Add some security in plain sight and a few more 'friendly' staff."

Apartamento relativamente pequeno, poucos recursos no apartamento (apenas um quarto com banheiro). Realmente esperava mais de um hotel 4 estrelas... Desapontado. A luxury hotel, 4 star hotel where when you shower fills the bathroom water, where they forget to tidy the room, where all you need to use expensive and is charged, except the internet. The hotel is very beautiful and the golf course around them give a special charm, but do not expect more comfort than that which you have in any small roadside hotel. Apartment relatively small, few resources in the apartment (one bedroom with bathroom). We really expected more from a 4 star hotel ... Disappointed."

I researched the pros and cons in reviews on several sites and the only con that was persistent was the extra cost to self park your car. I went prepared for the extra fee and was pleasantly surprised when I found out that I didn't have to pay the extra fee. That was AWESOME! "Stayed at the Rosen for 1 night last Sat. Booked a king for a special anniversary weekend. Got in the room and it was 2 queens. Called front desk and was first told there were no king rooms available, but they soon found one. Made the switch no problem. Got to the room and had to go out but realized there was no phone service and no dial tone. We were in a rush to go out, so when we returned we stopped at the front desk to ask to have the hotel get the phones to work. The girl at the front desk basically told us that we did not know how to use the phone and there was no problem. We insisted that there was a problem so she said she was going to put in a work order. She said she did not know when someone could come to the room, that we would just have to wait. Long story short...no one ever came to fix the phone, had to use cell phone to call front desk and room service. Front desk manager was told and said she had to ask a hotel manager to contact us. We waited yet another 20 minutes for a return call only to not really understand our issue of poor service, no follow up and rude staff, also 2 times maids banged at the door to clean the room until we actually opened the door to tell them we were still sleeping, neither apologized for disturbance. Had bad customer service at bar also. Service at this property is not 4 star, more like service at a motel. Beautiful hotel, very comfortable bed, nice furnishings, clean, but service and employee attitude ruined a nice weekend."

"The valet parking service ruined what could be a five.
The valet parking is run by an independent operator and there was an issue with the payment of the valet bill. I had to go back and forth to figure the issue.
Also, the driver parked my new car next to the sprinkler system and when I complained no one took responsibility. You may ask why i would give my new car to a valet parker right? because of the class of hotel I think this is I felt that would not be an issue."

Also, a very honest and helpful staff. ( I left my Ipad and was almost home when I remembered that I had done so. I immediately pulled over and called the resort where I was connected to Lost and Found. The lady I was connected with was very helpful and told me that my Ipad had been turned in and they would send it to me the next day) How often does that happen? I am forever grateful! Thank you."

"Overall a very lovely place to stay and for the price you can't beat it. The room was large and very clean. The beds were comfortable. The staff was very helpful and quite friendly. We did find the pool to be a bit strange. We were on the 10th floor and when looking down at the pool it appeared to need vaccuming. When we went to the front desk to ask about the pool the front desk clerk seemed to be unclear of the question and did not really offer any info. We are still unsure if the issue is paint wear on the bottom of the pool or just a much needed vaccuming. Beside the pool issues a good value."

Even though the parking lot is a bit of a walk, it was not even that big of a problem because in the evening/late at night the awesome security picks you up from your car and brings you to the front of the hotel! Such amazing service from everyone!!"

This hotel is better for adults and business travelers, you don't have to worry about kids running around everywhere...you get your fill of that at the amusement parks! There is so many amenities at the hotel for you to do also. The only thing I suggest is as always at any hotel we stay at we bring our own drinks and snacks, because all hotels are highter on that kind of stuff. The self-parking was free, received 25% off the spa and one of their restaurants on-site. So many things to take advantage of, didn't have enough time to use it all this time but will definitely be going back and staying longer. Pools/Hot tubs opened until midnight which was nice after spending the whole day at Epcot."

Simply put, this was one of the finest stays that we have enjoyed at any hotel. In our travels, we have stayed at hotels on four continents. Shingle Creek compares very favorably with the best of them. The level of service at this wonderful hotel is superb. The quality of facilities and rooms is exceptional. We received an upgrade to a suite upon arrival. Check in was quick and professional. Staff members were extraordinarily helpful, polite and friendly.
In the future, Rosen Shingle Creek will be our first choice in Orlando. We would like to thank the staff of Rosen Shingle Creek Resort for a wonderful first stay. It will definitely not be our last.

" This trip was our first to Orlando. We stayed with friends and decided to spend our last night at a hotel to get in some quality couple- time. With all the choices of hotels the area has to offer, I spent many hours just trying to figure out where to stay. My husbands only request was a golf course. Not just any golf course, but one that would make his trip memorable. Well Rosen Creek delivered with 5 stars. We arrived very early and had no problem getting our room. After seeing the course, we stayed an extra night. The 18 Monroe St. market was fabulous. We ate there everyday. The prices were very reasonable, and the food was awesome, with very large portions. We really wanted to see the sites of Orlando, but found ourselves not wanting to leave, so we didn't. Our friends, who are residents of the area, decided to stay one night as well. They were so impressed, they are planning to spend their anniversary, next month there. Lastly, the price was unbelievable. not only did we get a low rate, but my husband received 25% off golf. Free self-parking, free gym, and free wi-fi. All I can say is , thanks for a fabulous hotel at an awesome price. We will definitely be back next year."

"The coupons that came with the reservation made it practical to use the spa and eat at the hotel restaurants. Everything was wonderful!! The staff was friendly and accomedating. The lemo service from the hotel was the same price as a cab and it was a clean town car!! The pools were great (not as clean as should have been) and the view from the room was amazing. One hic-up was that we had to check-out and back-in to change from the two different reservations, but we were able to stay in the same room. I would love to stay there again!!"

"This is a beautiful hotel with wonderful amenities. It's large though, so don't stay here if you're looking for an intimate style hotel. The self parking lot is a bit of a hike from the front entrance, but not as bad as other reviews suggest. The forecourt of the front entrance was constantly filled with limos, taxis, cars, which may be unavoidable, but doesn't look good. The pools were great, the location for Disney/Universal/Convention Center fabulous - it really is a hard to beat hotel. Only drawback was the restaurants were not vegetarian friendly and were pricey, but it's a hotel, so to be expected."

"When we can book at a reasonable price, we always stay here. The rooms are large and the service is excellent. The pools are nice and remain open until midnight. We've only eaten in the Osceola restaurant for the buffet breakfast, which is pricey, but nice. The parking is $16 / day, so try to get a booking that includes the parking. There is a Publix (grocery store) across the street. I've always had a car when I go, so I'm not sure what transportation options are available. It is close to all attractions, and is the nicest Rosen hotel in the area, most of which are quite a bit older, and no where near as nice."

True to its word.I have been coming to Orlando and stayed in many hotels, so far Rosen Shingle Creek is the most Wonderful hotel I have ever been. Presentable to family and friends who I brought to Orlando..Just by the look of the hotel, it's beautiful, from the time we checked in, every body was so friendly and helpful, we were still outside unloading and were we're already assisted by hotel staffs..the room is beautiful, comfortable bed and clean, one thing that this hotel has that makes you special is, you will be Greeted in your hotel room ones you turned on your TV..the restaurant, oh!!! Not only that the food was Great, but also the waiters were all so friendly. We were entertained. We had so much fun..the pool was beautiful, the 24 hour store was so convenient..I love everything in this hotel, the parking? Well it a big hotel, it explains why the parking is far, but no shortage of parking space..we came home late one night and was taken back to the hotel with a golf cart by another friendly hotel security. I think a golf cart is the solution to all these complaints..if those golf carts are available for people who parked so far then that solves the problem. Rosen Shingle is Excellent on everything. I will come back here and will recommend this hotel to family and friends. Thank you."

"The place itself was monumentally fantastic and completely self-sufficient. Restaurants, bars, snack shacks, etc. The pools were wonderful, the grounds were beautiful, the staff were incredibly friendly. People check the reviews to see if there were any negative points, right? The only one was this - the hotel is so freakin' HUGE, if you get a room at the end of one of the maze-like wings, you'll be walking forever. I didn't mind it overall but I'll tell you - if you're at the pool having a few drinks and go to the room to shower and then start wondering if you should go down for another round or two vs. pouring them in the room... no way. You're gonna plop down on the bed or call for some room service and mix 'em up youself. It's a loooooong walk - and I'm one of those quasi-health-guy-gym-freak people. Dudes! Install some more elevators! Ay caramba! Aside from that, whether you're staying for a long or short time, there's plenty to do and see. You won't be disappointed, especially for the price. And if you're a golfer (I'm not), the course looks pretty impressive."

Day Two... over charge and appt time change for Sunday was not done... Day three a call at 8am in the morning asking if we were coming for our appt that was booked wrong... Day three massage was booked and a scalp massage should have been done and it was not... by now I just wanted out! If your not going to the spa then I would recommend this property. Spa desk staff is not seem sincere in thier delivery ots as if she was singing excuses while saying nothing."

"Pretty property, but the room was disappointing. Very dirty carpet, broken coffeemaker in the room. Hotel management should inspect these rooms on a regular basis for these issues. Also shower head dripped continuously.
Even though we self parked, we had to swipe our room key when leaving.
we parked a football field away, hotel should have a golf cart for transportation to your car. Security is driving around, but will not assist you with transportation,many cars in the self parking were parked illegally, not in spaces."

"A beautiful resort hotel. Three wonderful, clean pools--so nice that we almost forgot about the theme parks we were in Orlando to visit. The hotel staff was friendly, responsive, and professional.
We ate dinner in the Oscela Cafe. The swordfish from the menu was really delicious. The kids enjoyed the buffet, though I thought the food was a bit dry--but the restaurant was not busy, so the food had been sitting for a bit.
My petty complaints- towels were subpar for a 4.5 star resort-- rough and thin. The self-park lot was a bit of a hike from the hotel entrance, and it's a sprawling property, so the walk from room to car is substantial. But really everything else was wonderful, and at the bookit.com rate, this hotel was an outstanding value. I will definitely return."

This was our 2nd time here at a great price. We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very freindly at check in and out. We had no issues whatsoever. We stayed for 4days and 3 nights and not one thing went wrong. Our rooms were very taken care of. We also enjoyed the fitness center it was suitable for the very fit and the not so fit. The pool was again was very nice we only wish that they were heated a couple days the temps dropped and the water was too cool to get in. Nontheless we enjoyed it anyway. "Excellent accommodations and service. My husband and I have missed staying at this hotel only one year since it opened. He likes both the golf course and tennis court. I enjoy the pools and restaurants, especially sushi.
This is much better than the Winn in Las Vegas. It is cleaner, has better food, and the staff is much more friendly. The Winn is more expensive and I will never stay there again. However, we will be back to Rosen Shingle Creek."

"We spent Friday - Sunday at Rosen Shingle Creek. Its a very nice resort hotel. We felt like we were in one of the large casinos in Vegas - but without the Casino! Check-in was easy, the room was excellent, clean and a great view. I asked to be put on a high floor when I booked and we were put on the 11th fl. We had the breakfast buffet at one of the restaurants which was very nice. I especially liked the made-to-order Eggs Benedict and the great fresh fruit bar, including sliced mango! The service at the tiki bar by the pool was excellent. My only complaint would be the 'quiet pool' which wasn't quiet at all. Its one of the reasons I chose this hotel because it said it had an adults only quiet pool, however the entire weekend there were lots of screaming children playing in the quiet pool and loud music blaring. That was the only thing that let me down."

"The hotel is very nice. You never feel crowed. It is so spacious. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The view from our window was beautiful. You could see the peaceful golf course and the pools. We had the buffet breakfast at the Cafe and it was very good. Also the marketplace is open 24 hrs with all kinds of snacks, sandwiches, etc. The staff was always friendly, and helpful at all times. The valet people were great. Great hotel!! I would recommend this hotel anytime. We had a great time. I plan to go back soon. This is our third time at this hotel."

"Stayed at this hotel because we would be visiting many Orlando destinations: Disney, Discovery Cove and Universal. It is close to all - we rented a car. 12 miles to Disney but it's an easy trip. 3 or 4 miles to Universal and Discovery Cove.
The hotel is extremely nice. Large - you never feel crowed by other guests. The pools (4) were never over-crowded. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated (and I am extremely picky about clean). The marketplace is open all the time below the lobby and has a lot of snacks, beverages, food and other things you may need. We only dined in the Cafe for a dinner buffet and it was very good. The staff in every area of the hotel was always friendly, efficient and helpful. We had one problem with one of the rooms and they took care of it immediately. My daughter and I visited the spa and found the staff there to be excellent. The showers, lockers and hot tub were all clean. The view from our window was beautiful. The only thing missing for me was a nicer jogging trail - they do have a nature trail - but it was closed for renovations during our visit."

Other than everything in the hotel being very expensive - I.e. food, drinks & toiletries and there was no shuttle to Disney or other parks, we would stay there again. "First class resort and absolutely beautiful. This was the second time that we stayed there and were very familiar with the facilities / layout. I have two negatives to report that continued throughout our 12 day stay: (1) We checked into the room and it was not finished with cleaning...had to ask for pillow cases, towels, have the room vaccummed etc. Halls were left with debris thoughout our entire stay and were not cleaned. A/C had problem and would not keep the room cold even when set to min 60 degrees. Fridge would not keep sodas and milk cold. We had towels 'forgotten' or dirty ones left so routinely, that I started making a morning trip to the housekeeping cart to take what we needed. I got so tired of calling and complaining about housekeeping that I did not report the a/c nor fridge...just lived with it. (2) The beds/pillows were horrible. When we stayed in this hotel in Dec, the beds/pillows were great...not this time though. I am not sure why there was so much difference in comfort this trip. Staff overall were polite and very efficient to respond to anything we needed. Breakfast buffet was tremendous. Parking was a bit of a hike....but ok when you cut through the convention center. Overall, a very enjoyable stay and will definitely return."

Cleaning service throughout our stay was below expectations (cleaning rag left in room, forgotten hand towels, ice bucket left full of water, dust around the perimeter of the carpet, employeed walked in the room to clean at 10:00 AM,hallways contained noticeable debris that was left unattended for days, the stair well was filthy.) "We loved the price for this 4.5 star hotel. However, when we arrived the room we got was filthy. It hadn't been cleaned. When we called down to Guest Services, we never got an apology. Rather, we were told that they will try to send someone up to clean. We told them that we didn't want it cleaned, rather a new room. Then that took over 45 minutes before someone came up with new keys and room number. Still no apology.
The new room was better, but not 100% cleaned, however, it would do. The room was fine, however, through the vents we could smell cigarette smoke. Though no smoking room. Then, day two our safe broke and needed to get repaired. Still no apologies.
On the plus, the pool was nice. Four beautiful pools and great options to eat on the resort. That our family liked.
While there were a few good things, I won't go back based on the level of service provided."

"We were returning guests and we were more impressed this time around.The hotel is very well appointed. The rooms were very nice, however it would be nice if they offered something between the standard room and a suite (i.e. - jr suite). The rooms have a mini-fridge so that was very convienent. We were there for a conference and stayed an extra night to enjoy the time away. The restaurants and mini-store are over-priced, so visit the grocery store (Publix) across the street for all your needs. The staff (with the exception of two back-to-back early morning wake up knocks on the door by housekeeping) was second to none. They are accomodating and left you feeling well cared for and even conducted follow-up contacts to make sure a matter was resolved. Security was highly visible as they walked the floors, pool areas and grounds. We will stay there again and I would recommend others to stay there."

"First of all, this is my 4th time staying with my Family at the Rosen Shingle. I find this Resort to be one of the best I have stayed in the Orlando area. We did not pay for Wi-Fi, neither for Parking ($16 per day) and gym. And even thou this was a very busy weekend I did not care of the pools being full, and children running around! This is what a Hotel/Resort should be...and when you find it to be 100% Booked that means something....GOOD! The check in process was very quick...even for the amount of people inside the lobby area....the parking attendants were extremely busy....but kept it cool and easy, so car flow was very quick....'The man at the pool Bar made for me and my friend the 'Shipwreck' drinks even thou this drink has been REMOVED from their menu!!!!!! To me that is great customer service!!!! And for those who complaint about the 'food prices'...what can you expect??? Rosen Shingle is a RESORT!! not a Motel...overall my experiences with Rosen Shingle has always been pleasant!!!"

"the facility is great its huge and clean, a great variety of pools some with cabanas so your not around kids all day long if you don't want to be and they have a separate kids pool they also warm them at night, the Jacuzzi had way too much chlorine in it and they charge you for the gym $10/ day or $20 for your whole stay, they have a nature walk that is not open right now but i'm sure it would be lovely, and everything is at the resort that you need they have an over priced food market and several really nice expensive restaurants, so hint if you have a vehicle which u need just drive to one of the near by targets and stock up, they have a spa, and a place to buy your park tickets too so you don't have to wait in line at the parks to buy tickets. the staff is great"

"The hotel was beutiful, and the room was nice, but we could not get to sleep till almost 3am because of all the running and screaming in the hall ways. I no there were alot of teenagers there that weekend but there should be peace for the other guest. Also my wife cut her lip on a broken coffe cup in the room which we did call the front desk about. We would retur if it was a weekend when there was no tournaments for teenagers."

"The first time we stayed (a year ago) everything was was awesome, this time not quite as good. The room had Cheerios and orange seeds from the previous guest on the carpet.Obviously it was not properly vacuumed. In the vanity area it has scuff marks from the retractable mirror.The wall behind the garbage basket and by the toilet had some small brown stains, so the room was not as clean as you expect at this hotel category. We hope the front desk clerk let the housekeeping management know about our voiced complain. The rest of the hotel appeared clean. The staff at the spa and front desk were really friendly. The staff at the front desk has been reduced, so expect delays and lines at check in/check out. They had teenager teams of lacrosse players who were playing all over the hotel with their sticks and balls, including inside the lobby area and the corridors, banging the walls, etc., creating a nuisance that the hotel management didn't addressed at all. The spa services were great, but at the breakfast buffet at Osceola was not. It would be a shame if this beautiful and luxurious hotel continues having these problems because we really like the place."

"We were impressed with the great deal we got during our Memorial Day vacation. Rooms looked great when we booked online. When we got there, our room looked decent. However, the sheets were ripped in places, as were the pillows. The floors looked like they were not vaccumed and the carpet was stained pretty badly. And during our last night, I noticed tiny bugs on my children's comforter on their bed. I was not sure if they were bed bugs but there were at least a dozen in one area. I wanted to complain but it was 11 at night when I found them and we were so tired that I did not want to fool with it. Maybe because we got such a steal in price, they gave us a crappy room in return. The grounds, pools and hot tub were nice. And the lobby of the hotel was nice also. I just wish our room was cleaner because in the end that is more important than what the pool or check-in desk look like! "

"We recently stayed 3 nights in Orlando at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort. All I can say is that we were beyond impressed and wish we were staying our entire vacation! Everything was comfortable and made us feel at home. We were on the 8th floor and had a great view of the sunset every night. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The pool areas were immaculate and spacious, making it easy to relax without being over crowded. nThe only negative would be the prices were pretty high for anything on the resort. We opted to save some money, went across the street to the grocery store, and bought a few things to put in our fridge. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, especially at the great rate we got, and plan on staying here many more times to come in the future!"

This is truly a wonderful hotel, very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. every time that I had to call the front desk for something they answered the phone by addressing me by my last name saying'Ms.W...' how can we be of service to you today. Very impressed! Also the hotel spa is the BEST that I have been to, and I frequent the spa a lot. Lastly, the greatest thing about this hotel is that it is within 6 miles one way from Universal Studios, 8 miles in the other direction from sea world and up the block from international drive which has a plethora of activities and while it is close to all of the attractions it is far enough away so that you can enjoy a peaceful nights sleep! I am already planning to go back in August with my children...can't wait!!!n"

"Beautiful hotel, however when our team requested to be put close to each other prior to arrival, they were unacommodating. After settling in and catching up with the team we all realized we had been given rooms at the very end of any given floor, which in a 'normal' hotel may not seem so bad, but these floors have wings. The last room was at least a 200 yard trek. That gets to be a lot going up and down say to the pool or grab a snack and back up all day long. "

"Without any plans for the family for the holiday weekend, I decided to look into a staycation. We have never done this before, but I thought my 3 year old and 6 year old would enjoy spending the weekend 'away'. I read the reviews and checked out other 'family' reviews, and was excited for this get away. It was important to me that it was family friendly. I know this resort is located by the convention center, so I was worried that it would be geared mostly toward business people. I was thrilled to find out it had a family pool (with a pool bar close by) and an arcade for my son. The employees were very accomodating. We arrived early the day of check in, and the hotel stored our luggage until check in time. We were able to go to the pool and start our weekend. Located by the pool is a wonderful market stocked with everything you could want, including very affordable pool toys! The room was beautiful. The resort itself was beautiful also. On the day of check out we stored our luggage again and was able to spend the day at the pool before heading home. I thought we got such a wonderful deal on this resort. We will definately stay here again. And lucky for us, it's a short distance away! "

"Ever since I rented my home in Orlando, I have had to stay in hotels when I go back and forth a few times a year. I found this hotel last year and just got back from another 11 days there. I can't say enough about how wonderful the service is at this hotel. You would never imagine that you could get such personal service at a huge property---but at Shingle Creek, once you check in, even when the hotel is full, you can find your own spot to call home. Every person who works there deserves a thank you for their exemplary customer service. The housekeeping staff is accommodating, the front desk, thanks for your help when my Mom was ill while on this trip with me. The valet staff is quick and efficient and all of the restaurant staff, bell staff, etc.....are great. I have lived in Orlando for 18 years so I am well aware of who the owner is and I saw him on property EVERY day! How's that for a hotelier who really cares for his guests! Bravo! There is nothing that is left to chance at a Rosen property----the guest comes first. What a nice change from some of the luxury chains! I have already booked my next trip 'home' to Shingle Creek for 2 weeks in October. "

"My trip was part of a diaster, but the nice people at book it made it alot better. When we arrived at The hotel we were told there was no room available for us. I was stuck there with my 10 year old daughter for hours, then they decided to send us to another location for 1 night then the next day we had to check out and go to yet another location. this hotel is a very nice hotel, very clean ect but it was hard on me seeing that the hotel was rather far from Disney. I had booked the original hotel because of the closeness to Disney and the free Shuttles. I therefore ended up spending lots lots more money on tranportation which I had not budgeted for, Due to the mess up I spent more than double the money I would have spent. Taxis were very expensive and the bus takes for ever, It hurt my heart when ever I passed the hotel to know how much more money I was spending on transportation and the extra drive, one night we passed it in the cab and my daughter said , daddy if we were staying there we would be home already and the taxi meter was reading $12 at that point but we ended up paying $30. The trip left a sour taste in my mouth and now I have time to reflect when I realize how much extra I spent I feel depress."

"We have an Annual Dealer Meeting for the Invisible Fence Brand every year and this was our 19th meeting. This was the nicest hotel that they have ever chosen to have the meeting in. Much nicer than the Hiltons that we have had the meetings in. Since we booked the nightly special we thought we might have poorer service and shoddy rooms, not so, it was a fabulous experience. The staff were super and they did not even require a credit card for incidentals when we checked in. The room was luxurious with a beautifiul view and lovely bathrobes too. The restaurant food and bar service was excellent! We loved the breakfast buffet. Dining prices were very reasonable...better than the Hilton! The meeting facilities were great and since we had to walk to the conference center there was no concern about eating too much at this conference. We will consider returning for a holiday when we can just lounge and really enjoy the facilities. The Christmas festivities and entertainment were a real treat! "

"I booked my trip the the rosen Shingle based on the reviews I read. boy was I in for a shock. I would like to preface this by saying that in my earlier years I worked for Hilton and then Sheraton so I do know a little bit of which I speak. I checked in and was given keys to my room and was asked if I would like to leave a credit card number with the desk for potential purchases as my account was already paid in full. I asked if they put a hold on my credit card and I was told just for 50 dollars. I said this would be fine. My family which consisted of myself, my husband and my two children, proceeded to the room. We walked in and imagine my surprise when we entered a King room, surprised because I had paid for a deluxe double queen room. I was very upset and promptley called the frone desk. I spoke with a man who was rude and unfriendly. He told me they were sold out and there was nothing that he could do about it. It said he would however give us two rollaway beds which would cost us 20 dollars each, but he would not charge us for them. Considering I had already paid for the deluxe double queen this made me very angry. Did I mention I booked this trip in March and now its the last week of July? He also told me..now listen well to this part... because I booked with a third party, they only guarenteed a room and not a type of room. Future travelers be sure you are going to get what you paid for!!! We got our rollaways and one was jammed up to the window with the desk at the bottom and the chair at the top rendering them useless and then the second one was jammed next to the first leaving about 1.5 feet from the King bed. On Saturday night I was out with my family and went to use my credit card which was declined. I found this puzzling sice I knew that I had plenty to use on it. I returned to my room and called my credit card company only to find out that the supposed 50 dollar hold was a 600 dollar hold. In the morning I went to the front desk and asked them to remove the hold. They did so with a bit of an attitude. I then asked if the room I had pruchased was ready and was told they had a room to move me to. They didn't offer the information, I had to ask. This leads me to believe that had I never inquired about it, they would never had offered it. The housekeepers stunk. My son was eating frosted flakes and spilled some on the floor. Whenwe returned to pur room after a long day out, the beds were made but the frosted flakes remained. and remained and remained. The bureau top was covered with dust and wasnt wiped by any one but myself and my husband. Nobody in this hotel went out of their way to make you feel welcomed. After the fiasco with the room and the credit card you would have thought someone would have made an attempt to apologize for the inconvenience but their was nothing, not even a free cup of coffee. Would I return? NEVER. Will I go out of my way to let everyone know about my experience? Absolutely. Good Luck if you decide to go to this hotel but you've been warned."

"I stay at this hotel about twice a year and always have a great experience. The only unhappy experienced I've had was at check in. It seems as though everytime I check in I'm not given the type of room I reserved. I get to my room and its a double instead of a king. So I had to call downstairs and they were happy to move me, but then I had to move all my stuff as well and as you know its a huge hotel. All in all it was a good stay though."

"Was impressed immediately by grounds. Once we checked in the disappointment began. They put us in a dirty room. Beds were made but the floor had not been vacuumed. Garbage was on the floor and the dresser was packed with open foods, wrappers, empty bags and garbage. The vanity in the bathroom had sticky stuff on it. We called the front desk. they appeared to be bothered and told us to call housekeeping. Housekeeping told us they would get there whenever they could find someone free. We called and asked for a new... Clean room. Thisvtime the front desk sounded like we were inconveniencing them. They told us to wait in the dirty room and the bellman would bringbus keys to a new room. We waited almost an hour. We had to call again and ask for service. The front desk never apologized. Finally, a housekeeper showed up and was embarrassed. She said nothing was done but the beds. She apologized and told us to call for a new room. Then the bellman showed up with the keys to the new room. He just handed the key over and left with no apology for the dirty room...the wait nor did he offer to help us move our things. coupon for free wifi and parking is great otherwise it is very expensive. The pools are nice but crowed on the weekends and there is very loud music and a DJ there from noon to five. Don't count on a quiet read or a nap. Everything in the hotel is VERY pricey. The hotel is so big and has too many people to take care of, they can't really provide 4-5 star service. I don't think I can give it a second chance with so many other great places Orlando offers."

"Restaurants at the hotel are pricey and have no health food. The convenience store downstairs is insanely expensive and the deli serves mostly junk food. My wife is a vegetarian and she barely could find something to eat there.
What is with the town cars in front? $80 flat rate to take you to Universal Studios? You have to be kidding me! Everything is setup so to suck the money out of your pockets, no convenience, no shuttles and the concierge also peddles the town cars. Only after we insisted he call a regular cab, he did.
While at a conference last week, we were served water in the blue hotel labeled plastic bottles. The bottles were reused. The caps were not sealed and the bottles were refilled with the tap water. It is a shame! And I caught a bacterial infection from either 'fresh' deli food or this water.
Shame on you Rosen! You could do better then chase a bottom line by using such transparent and unclassy tricks.

"Our experience was wonderfull till the check out. We stay an hour to pay our bill with an inefficient lady and a supervisor. They made a first bill but not the exact amount so they have to cancel it and do it again. They do it twice and each time we had to wait to have the print. Happiness we did'nt have a flight but we drove back to Miami where we live."

"Superb experience!!/. The facility is excellent and maintained like new/a big commendation to the hotel staff, especially the Hispanic and Afro American staff/one special commendation to the employess at the Osceola Cafe. They are really effective team-players and protect the image of the hotel by going the extra mile to provide customer satisfaction (my wife was very impressed when they did their biggest effort to get her a cup of hot chocolate that for some reason was not available at the time)/. also would like take this opportunity to suggest a little bit of re-training to the 18 Monroe Street Market supervisor who apparently was not very happy working the night of 01/02/2012 (we were there for a snack at 19:52)/ we were very much surprised watching her throwing things and slamming chairs/I tried to cheer her up however it was a little hard for me even to get her name since she was not wearing her name badge/.I guess a little bit of re-training it's all it takes/.even with that little negative impression we would give the highest rating to the Rosen Shingle Creek hotel facility/

"We stayed at Rosen Shingle Creek for the first time last week. The resort was absolutely Beautiful! There are some things I would like to see change though before returning. When you go on vacation you expect things to be costly. When you stay at such a high end resort you certainly shouldn't have to pay to park there. I have never had to pay to park at a resort before and this adds substantially to the cost of your stay. When I booked the trip it was $12 a day for self-parking. When I got there it was $16 a day and $20 plus for valet. The parking is quite a distance from the hotel entrance. This is more than it costs to park at the theme parks and where are you supposed to put your car? I was very put off by this. As we were checking into our room there was a repair man in there. I was apprehensive to stay in the room but I was told he was just checking the fridge because the top was VERY hot and it is encased in a wood cabinet. It was indeed VERY hot. The man was very nice and we were heading out for a few hours and he said he was swapping out the fridge then. We returned 4 hours later and the hot fridge was still there and I had to call again. The first day of housekeeping they came in and left towels on the toilet :( and made one bed. Nothing else was done. Someone must have gotten a phone call and forgot where they left off. I loved this resort. The location was great and the grounds were beautiful. If you don't mind VERY expensive drinks and parking and can overlook the housekeeping and maintenance then GO! It was CLEAN and BEAUTIFUL! If they sent me a discount and a voucher for free parking I would go back for sure!"

"My parents and I stayed at Rosen Shingle Creek during the week of Christmas. I can only describe our initial reaction as shock. The hotel is huge with several pools. The rooms are nicely sized with double sinks separated from the shower area. The only negative thing was that you had to pay $10 to use the gym; however, that seems a very normal charge at hotels like this. But for future guests, know that you get charged $10 every time you use your room key to the gym. In addition, parking was $16 per night but I suspect that is because the hotel also has a conference center. We were told all 1500 rooms were sold out but we never heard other guests through the room and the front staff were very courteous and helpful. We would definitely stay at this hotel again and all my parents can talk about is how amazing their stay was. Also should mention that the location is very nice. Only a few miles from the outlet mall on International Drive and Point Orlando but off the beaten path with all the traffic."

"Thrilled with the bookit.com rate of $65/ night. I have stayed at the Rosen Centre many times, so I was familiar with Mr. Rosen's hotel quality, but this place (Rosen Shingle Creek) was beautiful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Self parking presented a very long hike every time we left or entered, but was secure and well marked. My only negative was the resturants all closed too early. Something needs to be open after midnight in case you get back from the parks too late."

"We planned on spending New Year's Eve at Epcot. After finding out that ALL the parks were 'packed', we changed our plans. We remembered upon checking in at the hotel, we had been told there would be a new year's eve celebration at one of the hotel bars. We first had a wonderful dinner at the Osceola Cafe including champagne and mimosas. The staff there was EXCELLENT! Afterwards we rang in the new year with hundreds of people, both young and old at Headwater's Lounge. We would recommend this hotel to anyone for pleasure or business. IT HAS IT ALL, and the entire hotel staff is there to meet your needs. The hotel is absolutely beautiful inside and outside. For the golfers, it has a spectacular golf course. "This hotel should have a 5 star rating not a 4 star - Only negatives - reception staff could be more efficient but the Manager more than made up for this. The hotel is just a little off the main area's. Having said that if you hire a car this is the best place to stay within the sourrounding area by a long way (having stayed in Many places on international drive and the Disney parks in the past) A very clean hotel. Would highly recomend this hotel to anyone."

"The hotel that I booked was not available, which became known to me after the fact. The hotel blamed BookIt, while BookIt blamed the hotel. I was given an alternative hotel, which was a downgrade. Instead of a room with 2 queen size beds I got 2 full beds. Needless to ay the experience was not pleasant at all."

"One of the Best Hotel experiences my wife and I have ever had. You will never regret staying at this hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and you can tell they LOVE their jobs. "Went with another couple to this Hotel that we have stayed at many times(8 ). Had a problem with overbooking at hotel and our friends were sent to Rosen Plaza. After speaking with Bookit and Hotel Management, they were transfered back and Management went out of his way to make this trip memorable. This Resortl is 1st class and the Osceola Resturaunt has excellent buffets for brunch and dinner. WE LOVE IT!!! Our friends will be back as well!!! :)

"I visited with my 8 year old son and overall, the experience was very good. Almost everything you would expect from a 4.5 star resort. Housekeeping was a bit of a chore to get taken care of. Our room was cleaned once during our three night stay (we were gone from midmorning to early evening). Everything was either conveniently located in the hotel or nearby. We were able to enjoy everything we intended. Typical resort / easy living atmosphere among the guests and staff. It was nice to experience fine living on the cheap.....just my style. BookIt made it possible with this vacation. I would definately BookIt again next year should a similar opportunity come available."

For check out a nightmare. Breakfast charged twice . So with one, and later 2 persons we had to wait more than half an hour to correct the bill in the computer!!

"Okay, you will get a card for discounts on food, and maybe one day you will get the discount on all food purchases. But, then the next day you will not and will be told that the discount only applies to certain food joints in the hotel. Which will leave you confused, especially if the discount was accepted an hour earlier by a different cashier in the same place. Also, this is not like other hotel chains, where wireless is connect and go! Not that easy! You must go thru a registration process that is aggravating, to say the least - and will frustrate even the best of us! The room had a musty smell at first (like wet carpet) and the a/c was not on when we entered it. Therefore, we called maintenance to come and deodorize the room. It was okay after that! That bartender at the pool (where we also ordered food) was given our discount food card, then within minutes gave us a receipt to sign with 'NO DISCOUNT AT ALL' (watch these people, they're slick) I will go again because overall the hotel is nice."

"Absolutely wonderful, Rosen Shingle Creek is my first choice when I travel to Orlando which is every two months. The rooms are super clean, the beds are really comfortable, the staff are corteous and friendly. I always get this hotel at a great price, this time was $69.00 plus free parking, free wifi and 25% off at the restaurant. I travel with 2 todlers and this place is very convenient is big, clean, located really close to Disney, deli open until 12am, 24 hour room service...it works for me! staff was great, checkout was at 11:00 am I called at 10:30 askinhg for a late checkout if possible and they extended it until 1:00pm... that made my day since we have 2 little ones and needed to pick up all the toys, get them ready... and that for me is priceless, WAY TO GO!!!!"

"I will never stay at this hotel again. The housekeeping staff was the worst. My grandchild was sick during the night so I had to take the sheets off the bed. We left the room at 8:00 the next morning and returned at 3:00 pm the housekeeper had not clean the room. at 3:20 the housekeeper knocks on the door and said she's ready to clean now. I ask her if she could wait 20 minutes because we were getting dress to go to park/dinner, I told her i needed clean sheets she looks at me with the evil eye and replys in a nasty tone that she is ready to clean NOW and why do I need clean sheets. Finally she left and said she would return. We finished getting dress and left the room in about 20 minutes. We returned back to the hotel at 1:00am and the room had not been touched. I called the front desk and they sent one sheet to the room for me to put on the bed. The next morning I get a knock on my door at 8:15 when I answered a housekeeper ask me if I was checking out.I said yes but what time is checkout she replyed I don't know what time are you checking out.I thought I had missed a memo that checkout at that hotel is earlier then 11:00 I called the front desk and they informed me checkout is at 11:00. By 10:30 that morning I recieved
2 more knocks on my door frm the housekeeper asking me if I was checking out. That's 3 times before 11:00. I was very disappointed with

"Just stayed @ Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando Florida and stay was great. Hotel very clean and rooms are clean and comfortable. We self parked and u have to walk a little bit to the hotel but parking is secure. We used one of the pools every night and had it to ourselves, nice ,clean and quiet. The spa is very nice and facilities were relaxing. Room service is quick and good and priced about the same as any other hotel. Very good location and close to everything. Very easy to get around. While we got a excellent price for this hotel, $65 a day plus free parking and internet, I would not pay the full price for this hotel. I only would stay if we got this deal again."

This Hotel will exceed your expectations as it did us. Its clean, the staff is friendly, its quiet and you get a sense of real safety. Its a beautiful resort and we can't wait to return. Now, one thing. And their is always one thing. The restaurants are top notch so don't expect to eat on the cheap. Pretty pricey but well worth it. The service is awesome. "This hotel was nice as usual. We drive up frequently for Disney, and stay here whenever we get a good deal. It is always very nice. The pool and hot tub are really nice for the family, and the rooms spacious and comfortable. Tobias flatbreads has pretty good food and an excellent beer selection, and we have found the dinner buffet quite good for a hotel in Orlando. The only issue we had this time was poor service by the housekeeper; she never gave us shampoo or lotion, and one day our comforter dissappeared. But, usually, the service is very good. Overall, it is a beautiful and elegant hotel. Be forwarned that it is more of a business/convention hotel than a family vacation hotel, with the food and amenities quite pricey compared to many of the other Orlando hotels. Regardless of this, our family really likes it, and plans to go back whenever there is a good sale."

"I had a wonderful 3 day R&R stay. Beautiful property with well trained, accomodating staff. Nice amentities, very nice spa with a well equipped, state of the art fitness center. I loved the fact that they had a lap pool so that I could swim my laps. Great variety of restaurant choices and although I only ate one meal there (at the pool side restaurant) it was excellent. I also loved that they have a 24 hour HUGE food/sundries store with just about everything anyone could possibly need or want. My only complaints are 1. the self valet parking was a long, long walk and
2. the cheezy coffee maker and coffee in the room. Mine didn't even work so I ended up going down to get my own @the Starbucks and getting it room service, which was about the best coffee I've ever had. Over all an excellent experience. I can't wait to go back!"

"We had such an amazing experience at The Rosen Shingle Creek.The rooms were immaculate, everything fresh and new. The hospitality staff was polite and quick with all requests, 24 hour room service. Our only regret was not having more time to indulge in the numberous spa services or gorgeous pool area. We were extremely happy with our decision to stay at Shingle Creek. "Needing some R&R, my husband and I decided to head toward Orlando. Since I frequently book reservations on-line, I took advantage of a last minute special offered through BookIt.com. This was a delightful surprise...the best kept secret in Orlando or on-line! We stayed at Harris Rosen's Shingle Creek Golf Resort. It is an amazing property with all the amenities anyone could want - 4 restaurants (but only needed one - The Osceola Cafe - absolutely fabulous, and we are hard to please when it comes to eating away from home!), spa, golf course and golf academy, ballrooms, convention center, a convenience store located in the lower lobby (it has anything you need or want, so there's really no need to leave the hotel to go off site for shopping)! The valet parking was a treat for us and the guys were models of efficiency. We had no issues with the room or comfort problems, so all we can offer is this: 'Try it, you'll love it!' My husband wanted to stay longer just to try the Osceola Cafe again! Unfortunately, work and other issues bade us return to the real world, but for two nights, we lived like royalty! We usuallly stay at 4 star establishments, but I can certainly understand why AAA has awarded this property the '4 Diamond' rating. It is nice to know that someone can actually think in terms of what people need and want when they are away from home, and make it happen! Thanks Mr. Harris. We will pass the word along that for comfort and value, Rosen's Shingle Creek will be our home away from home!"

"Very nice and clean, great deal on BookIt!!! Almost $200 off per night and the $12 a night parking was waived. The 'free shuttle' was not useful as it had one set depart and return time. On the map it looked far from universal but was only about 3-5 minutes away. Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean, and housekeeping was also unusually friendly. Large complex with many shops and locations to eat or drink. Pool area was kept very nicely. Only downside is i didn’t valet part so the parking lot was a good walk away. On a busy day i could imagine it being a 10 min walk each way just to get to your car. Many resorts i have stayed at like this have golf carts giving people a shuttle to the lobby but here they were all grounds crew. I recommend if your older get the valet!!"

"The hotel was fantastic! It was a very nice room and beautiful hotel. It was very clean and the bed was excellent. The 'market' downstairs was a very nice too. We were able to buy breakfast items and healthy snacks for a reasonable price. Our room did not have a hair dryer or a microwave. We also could not find anywhere to get ice. Staff was friendly and willing to get us access to these items when we asked."

"The hotel is very close to Universal Studios. The room was very clean and comfortable. I did have some difficulties at check in when I had requested a king bed and they originally put me in two doubles but it was corrected. I also had to call tech support to get the free wireless access set up. I would stay again."

"We cannot say enough how great this hotel was. It was one of the best experiences we have had. If you are looking for a hotel that will meet all your needs you have found it arcade, pools, resturants, coffee house, store, icecream you name it you won't have to far to get it. The only down fall is the cost of parking self park is $12.00 per day and valet parking is $20.00 per day. "

"This is an amazing Hotel. The accommodations were excellent. The room was large, clean, well appointed, and top quality. This was one beautiful hotel!, with amazing views of the golf course. They had plenty of pools for the family or adults, as well as the hot tubs. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a golf resort, or just a better option than the overpriced Disney hotels. It was a close drive to Disney or Universal. Go and enjoy!"

"I enjoyed my stay very much, the help was very curtious and polite, the room was extremely clean, Valet service was propt and pleasant.
My room was on the 11th floor, A King single with a Kings view.
Ony disappointment was the towels and wash clothes were not replaced the following day when the room service cleaned, a bit surprising, Contacting the front desk, they came with new towels
immediately.
I visit Orlando 3 times a year for work and pleasure, I will stay there again this fall. Thank You.

"Staying at the Rosen Shingle Creek hotel was a last minute decision, and a very good decision. The place is absoulely gorgeous. The room was beautiful the staff were excellent. When we booked we were in a hurry and didn't have time to really review the hotel. We were more than pleased.
The bedding was superior and the decor was modern. We slept as well on their mattress as we do at home.
We definitely would go back again and plan to in the future. You can't go wrong booking at this hotel."
