Richard from Southampton, NY had this to say:
"The hotel was very accommodating. The staff member at the front desk was fantastic. She went out of her way to make sure my family was satisfied. The tower room had great view of fireworks at night. The pool was great for the kids. The location is key - you are on the Disney grounds, but close enough to the outside world to enjoy other Orlando attractions. I especially liked being right next to downtown Disney, the adults have more diverse dining and entertainment options at their disposal. Regular bus service to the Disney attractions is a plus as well."

"We found the room clean and the staff friendly. We did not use the restaurants or pools. The only thing is there is a Spa charge and we were not made aware of that through Bookit.com. Also, the driving directions were not correct. "

pamela malky from Lake Wylie, south carolina had this to say:
"We all had a great time, our 15 yr old son enjoyed the pool and the lobby and store while checking out all the people! The room was clean, although the beds are only FULL size not queen so they are a bit snug when you are used to queen size. The location is great, near shopping centers and all kinds of eating options and the highway is nearby, Universal is only 10 miles away. We loved the pool as it was so big that no one felt crowded and everyone could splash around. I would recommend this hotel, get a tower room!"

Heather from Roanoke, AL had this to say:
"First of all, I was very weary of using this site. I had never heard of Bookit.com. But, to my surprise, I received an e-mail, within minutes, from Disney and the Regal Sun booking to confirm everything I had just paid for. I would recommend using this site, as it saved me a few THOUSAND dollars!!!...AND it is legit!! Now, the hotel.....It was awesome for the money. I expected WAYYYY LESSS! AND it is the first one outside of Disney. If you`re traveling with children schedule some time to stay at the hotel, they will not want to leave the pool area. I had the kids eat free with what I booked, but for some reason could not get it. The hotel restaurant was really expensive, though. The character dining isn`t worth the cost, AT ALL. You`ll see the characters at the parks anyway...ESPECIALLY ANIMAL KINGDOM (HINT HINT-Hit the park for autographs!) The shuttles aren`t what you`d expect. Personally, I`d pay to park in the park. You can park at all the parks with the one pass you purchase at the first park, for that one day. Then, purchase a pass each day. And no matter what you`re told, DO NOT try to take the hotel shuttle to or from the water parks. You`ll be sorry! VERY SORRY! Final word of advice, lots of nearby restaurants outside of Disney offer kids eat free or Buy 1 Get 1 meals. It`ll save you A LOT! We booked a Disney resort for a family of 4 for a third of what I was expecting to pay! As cheesey as this sounds, THANKS BOOKIT.COM!"

"I booked two rooms for three days on the 4th of July. Everything was clean. My two girls loved the pool. All staff was professional. I thought that the 518.00$ that the rooms cost were a good deal. We also took buses to the parks that run about every 30 minutes."

"If you want clean, affordable, friendly, and a great pool, this is the place to be! The new pool is great for kids and adults alike, the construction is over and the renovations look great. You can also walk to Downtown Disney in about 3 safe minutes. There is also an inside area for the children to play, could be more structured activities, but better than most other area hotels!"

Daniel from Muskogee, Oklahoma had this to say:
"We enjoyed the stay at Regal Sun. Our room was cleaned every day that we spent on it and the pool was clean and safe for my kids. I personally enjoyed the Jacuzzi; it was good and relaxing, plus at night when the Disney lights come out at ten, you can appreciated the show sitting at the Jacuzzi. Our view at the room was great from Downtown Disney. If you ask me, I will say yes- I will go back to the Regal Sun Resort."

A Recent Traveler from Mechanicsville, Va had this to say:
"Well worth the money to be so close to Downtown Disney. Room was nice and clean. The pool was a hit with my son. The only negative I would say would be the buses. Since they pick up at several hotels, they were crowded in the mornings and you might have to wait an extra 30 minutes to leave for the parks. You would hope that you could get on the next bus that would come. "

"The price was excellent....Everything was clean (maybe not spotless)....but it was clean. The staff was very nice and efficient. Loved that Downtown Disney was walking distance! Our 7 year old loved the pool....I loved the whirlpool tub. The beds were very comfy and the air conditioning worked perfectly! "

DDahl from Blackwood, NJ had this to say:
"Just returned from a 10 night stay June 2009. The pool was wonderful as well as the bus service. Cleanliness was not so good. We arrived 6:30 pm, checked in, and upon arrival to one of our rooms, it had not been cleaned (i.e. bed linens changed, towels etc...) Although they responded promptly to correct the matter, we had to remind them to change the pillows. The food was overpriced and not good at all but with the short walk to downtown Disney we really didn't eat that much in the hotel. One of our rooms was right outside the rental car location and their trash dumpster, with stink and early morning delivery trucks. Not the greatest; I will not book here again."

LeAnn A. from Chilhowie, VA had this to say:
"I research the best deals with bookit.com. The Regal Sun Resort was the best deal out there. We stayed in the Tower with a view of Downtown Disney. It rained everyday we were there, so I don't recommend paying the extra to have a room with a 'view'.....we didn't see anything that anyone else would have seen. The room was small, but clean and in perfect condition. We didn't receive the paper we were supposed to, but the breakfast with the characters was a BIG hit with our little girl. The characters and staff were very friendly and willing to take lots of pictures. All in all, the staff was very friendly and helpful in any way. It was a good experience."

The pool was great, and I actually liked walking out of my room into the sunshine and pretty gardens instead of a hotel hall! Our room was clean and functional and was an exceptional deal for the price we paid! The location was fabulous too! And the shuttles were great and efficient!! I would go back again for sure!"

Brandy from High Springs, FL had this to say:
"We stay here often discount or not and we love it. We return often. We find that if there is anything wrong, which is very rare, they fix it right away. The best part is the shuttle service and the lounge upstairs. The renovations over the past couple years have really made a difference in the children enjoying and wanting to be at the hotel and the pool more often. I would recommend this hotel to anyone especially if your coming for the parks because their 30 min. shuttle runs make leaving the parks and then returning as often as you like easy. You never have to wait very long for a bus. Their staff is very friendly as well. "

"We had a great stay in Nov 2008! The room was clean and the pool area was fantastic! My kids loved the pool play area and the jacuzzi tub. Also, the shuttle ride was fast and convenient to the parks (and we used Disney's shuttle to get to Downtown Disney to eat). PLUS, this hotel is the CLOSEST to Downtown Disney - just a short walk across the intersection and you are there in the action."

Family of 3 from Lafayette, LA had this to say:
"We had an excellent stay at the Regal Sun and would return again. The outside pool area was fantastic and our 10 year old loved it. The pool bar was staffed until late in the night. Our vehicle was safe, secure while parked and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We had an outside entry room which was rather noisy in the early morning, so I would prefer a Tower room on future visits. "

Katrina from Willingboro, nj had this to say:
"There is nothing 'regal' about this place, it is a 2star motel with a cute pool. The website pics are very deceiving, there is a renovated hotel tower but I was repeatedly told by the staff that the rooms in the tower were identical to the exterior corridor motel rooms, and if that is true then they really paid someone well to get that 3.5 star rating. The rooms are small, poorly finished, and you can only enjoy the poolview if you are an exhibitionist. The zero-entry pool had orange safety cones in place of where the activity center was supposed to be, it's heated to a cool 75 degrees, which felt like 60 degrees during our April visit. The other pool is not heated at all. Plan on lots of small kids sharing the only hot tub, which isn't that hot. Bring your own racquets to play tennis, they only have 2 and one is broken. This place was a huge disapointment, my 14yr olds were bored and I was too. You can walk to Downtown Disney and there's plenty of close dining and shopping, but if you're expecting a resort experience GO ELSEWHERE."

Shelley from Pace, FL had this to say:
"The hotel is seriously (after renovation) a 2 star hotel. It is old and several things did not work. They tried to charge us the $15 resort fee and I flat out told them that I wouldn't pay it. I showed them the Bookit print out that specifically says that it is waived and they still 'had to check to see if they could wave it' which they magically could. All in all, for the price and location not a terrible deal. I'm still not sure I would stay here again."

Trina from willingboro, nj had this to say:
"I booked this 'resort' from the pics on the website, and the list of amenities and activities on the hotel website. The info and pics are misleading, there is a tower hotel with a nice, but not overly impressive lobby, but more deceptive is the motel exterior corridor rooms that flank the tower. The pool area is nice, the aquatic playground was not here during our visit however, there were several orange cones with yellow caution tape smack in the middle of the zero entry pool where the equipment should have been. For our early April visit the 78 degrees 'heated' pool felt quite chilly. The 2nd pool is not heated at all. The spa tub could stand a good cleaning, and expect lots of small kids to hang out there with you. The tennis courts which was a major selling point for my family are nice, but bring your own racquets because they only have 2 loaners, and one is broken. I booked this place thinking my 2 teens would have plenty to do without going to the park everyday of our 8 day vaca. It's not that type of resort, and for the quality of the renovated rooms, staying at a cheaper 2-3 star would save a whole lot more money. The bathroom towel shelves were dusty, the door's dust strip at the bottom was uneven allowing cigarette smoke from outside to flow into the room, and the room and bathroom are too small and missing resort like luxury appointments. This is just a place to sleep after exhausting all the parks, not a resort to enjoy wholly on its own."

D Noonan from Orland Park, IL had this to say:
"I was very disappointed with our stay at this hotel. You pull up and everything looks great. The money spent on this renovation was definitely spent in the lobby. Once checked in to the pool view room, we went to our room and that was disappointing. It was overall tidy but the bathtub was disgusting with rust stains. Filters in ceiling where filthy. I assumed we'd tolerate it because we wouldn't be spending much time in there in the 2 night stay. The pool area was nice but water was cold. I had requested 4 additional towels which the staff gave me an issue about. I did finally get them. Later went to sleep, one of my pillows smelled like sweaty body odor. I was disgusted. Breakfast with the characters was another disappointment! Not cheap and when Goofy left, Pluto came in. 2 characters the whole time and not even at the same time. If I only knew I would of done it at the Magic Kingdom. When the guest next door checked out, I observed the housekeeper going in. I seen her wiping down through the open curtains. I noticed when she left, there was no bedding, quilt or pillows with her. Beds were made and room ready to go? Don't they change all the bedding? That explains why the pillow stunk. We left upon check out and moved quickly on to our next destination for the week. My 4 year old became very ill that evening with a stomach flu. I think he caught it from our stay (the germs). I will not go back."

Mandi from St. Petersburg, FL had this to say:
"My experience with this hotel was really good. We arrived Friday, March 27th and checked out Sunday March 29, 2009. Check-in took only 10 minutes, if that. We had a Disney view Tower room. Got to see the fireworks from Epcot and Magic Kingdom. That was really cool. The room itself was nice and clean. Stayed on the 15th floor. Didn't really use any of the amenities of the resort, but did take the shuttle to Disney and that went great, no problems at all getting around! We also walked to Downtown Disney one night and that took a whopping 3 minutes. Seriously, you can't get any closer to Downtown Disney. The location of this resort is fantastic! The view from the tower rooms, amazing. We parked on Friday, and the car didn't move until we left on Sunday. Check out took 2 minutes, no unforseen charges. We got the $15/night resort fee for free since we booked through Bookit. The only thing I wasn't really impressed with was the pool area. Not as pretty as the pictures looked. I also thought the restaurant/room service prices were insane, so we ate at House of Blues instead. Overall a nice place and a great weekend getaway."

"The rooms and lobby in the tower are great. You can not do better for the price. Rooms were small but nicely renovated, comfortable and clean. Pools are really nice, not at all overcrowded. While the main rooms (tower) are more resort like, the other rooms are less attractive and seemed more like a motel because they had outside access. Try to request a tower room. Did not have any problems with the staff, everyone was very attentive. "

SML from Live Oak, FL had this to say:
"We spent two days at the Regal Sun Resort and had an overall pleasant experience. We stayed in one of the 'traditional' rooms in the east wing. The room was your standard, everyday, run of the mill room, nothing special... just a room. The pool area, was awesome, my daughter had a blast playing in the heated water play area. The hotel was clean, and the location could not be better. If you plan on visiting Downtown Disney in the evening, it is quicker to walk there that it would be to drive, it's just a short five minute walk. I would skip the breakfast buffet though, it was entirely over-priced for what you get ($22). They do charge a $15 a night 'resort' charge that is not advertised, but that is probably due to the location of being on what I believe to be Disney property. I didn't get a chance to visit any of the rooms in the 'tower' but that is probably where the 3 1/2 star rooms are located. The parking was abundant and convenient. Overall I was pleased with the hotel, and would stay there again."

Scott from Carbondale,, Illinois had this to say:
"We started our vacation at the Regal Sun Resort. It was a very pleasant 3 days, I was glad that the fee for staying there of $15 was waved with the deal I received through Bookit. The only annoiance we experienced wa the front dek staff either not there, or had to wait in line since only one person at the desk. Room was small to midsize, but wa clean and comfortable. Renovation is done, but till have a few minor dinks to resolve, staff gets right on them. Water wass cold, what do I expect for December? Second hotel we went to was similar price, but left u wanting to go back to the Regal Sun. I used to Manage a hotel, so my numbers may be more picky than most. Final note. I had a different hotel booked originally through a competitor. When I saw the deal Bookit had I called them up and they said that they couldn't match it like their guarantee says. It was over 25% lower than the lowest they could go."

A Recent Traveler from Cumming, GA had this to say:
"Regal Sun was a great deal. The rooms were newly renovated and clean -- a little on the small side, but who is going to spend much time in the room anyway when you are at Disney! I can't speak to the quality of the restaurants because we did not eat at the hotel. The shuttle was very convenient. I only have two complaints. First, the resort tried to charge us for parking even though the resort fee was waived in our Book It package. It clearly states that parking is included in the resort fee, but they said it is not included for Book It customers. After I asked to speak to the manager, the parking fee was waived. Also, check your credit card bill when you get back. We gave the hotel a credit card for incidentals and even though we had already paid in full, the hotel charged our credit card again for the hotel room. We had to call them to get the charges removed. "

"Very friendly and helpful staff. Outstanding pool/hot-tub area. We were in older, low rise building. Stairways show thier age. One room had no heat for three days, but maintenance folks kept trying to fix it, and they were alway pleasant and accomodating. Front desk folks were patient re: the problem, and took off 'resort fee' for both rooms because of the heat problem. Location could not be better -- a short and easy walk to Downtown Disney."

POOL IS VERY NICE FOR THE KIDS AND SO IS THE OASIS. THE ONLY DRAW BACK IS THE PRICES FOR DRINKS AND FOOD IS HIGH. EVEN HIGHER THAN DISNEY. THEY HAVE TONS OF STUFF FOR THE KIDS TO DO. "I surprised my two grandchildren by arranging a one week 'Disney Vacation' We were without a doubt surprised! This hotel was filthy! Once we checked in and went to our room, it had not been cleaned from the previous guests. We were given another room. This room had a musty odor, stained carpets, and the sheets had not been changed (they were wrinkled, and had crumbs and hair) another call to the front desk. The staff was rude and said I was imagining it. They said no other rooms were available. We were exhausted as it was 10pm. I took the sheets off the beds and brought them to the front desk to show them. They quickly had housekeeping summoned to 'reclean our room.' Walt Disney is probably turning in his grave, this is not the dream he had. From now on we will be staying in the 5 star hotel on I Drive!"

"WE HAVE BEEN STAYING THERE A NIGHT OR TWO SEVERAL TIMES WHEN WE GO DOWN TO DISNEY EITHER AT THE END OR THE BEGINING OF OUR TRIP(WE ALWAYS STAY IN ONE OF DISNEY'S RESORTS FOR THE REST OF THE TRIP.) WE USE TO LOVE THE BEAUTIFUL LOBBY AND ALWAYS LIKE UNWINDING FROM THE DRIVE THERE. THE FIRST TIME WE WENT AFTER THE RENOVATION, WE WERE EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN THE NEW MODERN SPARSE LOOK. I TOLD THE FRONT DESK CLERK THAT AND SHE GAVE US A TOWER ROOM WITH A DISNEY VIEW--WOW, WERE WE IMPRESSED WITH THEIR NEW LOOK IN THOSE ROOMS, WHICH WE HAD STAYED IN ONCE BEFORE (AND WERE IMPRESSED THEN BEFORE THE RENO). WE USUALLY STAYED IN ONE OF THE OUTER ROOMS BY THE PARKING LOT--THEY ARE QUITE COMFORTABLE BUT ALSO NEED RENOVATING-MAYBE THEY HAVE BEEN BY NOW. WE LIKE THIS HOTEL, ESPECIALLY FOR THE LOACATION-LITERALLY A WALK ACROSS THE STREET TO DOWNTOWN DISNEY. WE LOVE STROLLING AROUND THERE BY THE LAGOON AND WATER FOUNTAIN BY PLANET HOLLYWOOD. THERE ARE SEVERAL REALLY GREAT RESTARANTS AT DOWNTOWN AND WEST SIDE, TOO. IF YOU STAY THERE, GO FOR THE TOWER ROOMS WITH DISNEY VIEW-YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED AND ITS WORTH IT FOR THE EXTRA BUCKS. WE'RE GOING AGAIN IN DECEMBER THIS YEAR."
