"I went to orlando with two tennage girls age 17 and 15 we were doing college visits. So having tennagers we wanted to visit some of the beaches around the area. The staff had no clue how to get us to daytona beach was not impressed that they could not help us with this information glad I brought my gps. the hotel was clean very quite hotel some of the staff was more friendly than others. if you are wanting to be closer to the action I would suggest staying in downtown disney!"

"The housekeeping staff at the hotel were so good at what they do. The rooms were very clean except for carpet stains. It was VERY difficult to communicate with the staff behind the desk. There was a language problem. The furniture in the main lobby and the carpeting thru the whole hotel needs replacing."

"Yes, this hotel is a little neglected but the value was terrific. There were no complaints about the cleanliness of the rooms or the helpfulness of the staff. Thankfully it was not hot while we were there because whether by choice or necessity, there was no air conditioning in the hallways or elevators. It would also be nice if at least the spa was heated. If I was looking for a place that provided all the amenities I probably would have looked for looked for something that cost more. I would recommend this hotel to anyone."

The only drawback was the shuttle bus to Universal Studios. The driver was 25 minutes late the first day and 10 minutes late the 2nd day. The first day, the driver tried to make-up time by driving recklessly. The passengers were concerned for their safety. The park closes at 6:00 p.m. but the bus does not return to pick-up passengers until 8:00 p.m. We took a cab back to the hotel both days. This service was not what we expected."

"The room was good for the price and the location was great as far as distance to Universal. The room did smell a bit like mildew but it wasn't awful. The breakfast buffet was really convenient and pretty good. The big con for this hotel was the free shuttle service. They have one pick up and drop off time for Universal and they nearly an hour late in the morning to pick up a group of 20 waiting to go to Universal. That took an hour from our time and made for a frustrating start to the day as several people would ask the front desk person when they were coming. His only reply was 'They are coming. He will not wait on you if you are not standing there.' Finally, after 45 minutes my husband asked the person if there was a supervisor he could call to see when the shuttle would be here. The staff person told him that it was a contract service and finally gave him the number to the service and told him he could call it (rather than the staff person calling)."

The 'free' breakfast was adequate. We were both disappointed in the scrambled eggs. They had a lot of water in the bottom of the serving pan which led us to believe the eggs were made from powdered eggs. They didn't taste like real eggs. The pancakes were good as long as you got them from the middle of the stacks -- the bottom ones were like rocks and couldn't be chewed. The assortment of bagels was poor. Juice, milk and coffee/tea was quite good. We were able to get an 'adequate' breakfast from what was available.

"We got a terrific deal through Bookit.com last September for the week before Christmas. We enjoy taking our two kids (17 and 12) to the theme parks for Christmas. I was very pleasantly surprised with this hotel, especially for the price I paid. We booked 8 nights, but only stayed for 6 nights. We couldn't face two more days in the theme parks. We booked a one bedroom suite, and we were all very pleased. The location of the hotel is superb if you are going to either Sea World or Universal Studios. The housekeeping crew at this hotel works very hard and does a great job. The only problems I had was with the a/c, it was too loud when turned above low cool, which wasn't cool enough to suit us. Also, the kitchen and full size refrigerator with the ice maker was great, but no pots to actually use the stove top. Also, we were on the fourth floor, and internet was, at best, average to poor. I have a seventeen yr old computer geek, he was not amused. However, the beds were comfortable, and the room had two bathroom sinks and counter tops. That was very useful for four people to get ready for the day each morning. The furniture was outdated, but functional. The rooms were clean and well maintained. There were two tv's, one in the bedroom and one in the living room and we all enjoyed having two choices to watch. We actually only tried the breakfast buffet once. My teens aren't breakfast people, but it was one of the best I've seen so far. The waffle irons were available for fresh hot waffles, plenty of bacon and sausage, hash browns, scrambled eggs, and lots of fresh melon. It was very good. We feel we got more than our money's worth with this hotel."

"We booked this hotel based on other guest comments and found it to be wonderful. For the price the value was excellent and all the staff were all fab. The location was brilliant, very close to everything and the included breakfast was wonderful value.

The only downside was that the wifi does not work on the top floors of the hotel, but even then when we mentioned it to the concierge they offered to move us to a lower level so we could access it, what service!!!! All in all we loved this hotel and when we return to Orlando we will stay there again."

"My wife and I visited Orlando for four days to visit Universal Studios and the Islands of Adventure. The hotel is at a very covenient location, only 2 miles away from the park and right next to International Drive where all the bars and restos are. The parking is free which is always great, and the people at the front desk were helpful and friendly. There is shuttle to universal at 8:30 AM every morning, which is right after the breakfast and there is a pick up back to the hotel every evening. The room is pretty basic, but decent and clean. The washrooms were clean as well and I would definitely recommend this hotel for travelers who spend more time outside and head back to the hotel only to sleep and freshen up."

The only thing was that it didn't have an airport shuttle and it was 40 bucks both ways to the airport. Although they did have a free shuttle to Universal, it was only once in the morning and twice at night.

"Pleasantly surprised when we arrived for our 9 day stay. Centrally located in the heart of all we needed to do. The rooms were large, clean and very functional. It had a dining room, full kitchen, (minus an oven) and a work desk that you can use vs the kitchen table. Staff are all very nice and friendly and the breakfast was nice.
Only drawback was the internet was down a few times while we were there, which was an issue for me because I was there on business. Also you must borrow ($10.00 deposit) a cable to use to connect to your computer (not Wifi)"

"After reading some of the negative reviews, I didn't know what to expect upon arrival. Fortunately, I was pleasantly surprised! The staff was very courteous, the hotel was large and clean, and for the price, you couldn't beat our room! Double sinks were SO nice to have with the kiddos, as were the two TVs. The furnishings, kitchen counter, and wallpaper were a bit dated, but that didn't bother me in the least...after all, I didn't pay to critique the interior design of the room. I wanted somewhere clean, comfortable, and convenient to stay with my family, and that's what I got! The breakfast buffet was a HUGE plus with the kids. We had two adult buffets each morning included in our room rate ($57/night) and our two kids ate free! WELL WORTH IT! The breakfast buffet included eggs, sausage links, bacon, pancakes, cereal, waffles, bagels, etc. Thee kids loved making their own waffles! :) Perfect meal to start out a long day at Universal Studios! We did have a little trouble with the return shuttle service - it was 20 minutes late picking us up - but we didn't complain. We just drove the next day. Honestly, driving, in my opinion, is the way to go...that way you can leave when you're ready without having to wait in a parking lot. Well worth the $15 to park at Universal. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here again when we return to Orlando! :)"

Our only problem we encountered this stay was unfortunately there was a large convention being held, and the parking is quite limited, you had to fight for a place to park and with the more than a hundred people being there all at once for the convention, the breakfast was good but limited due to the mass number of people, and we couldnt sit where the food was we would have to go back to the room just to eat instead of sitting in the dining area. ALSO if you take a cab, and they dont know what hotel you are talking about, it used to be a holiday inn, then they know what you are talking aout. "This hotel was perfect for my family for our short trip to Orlando. Not fancy but great location. We went to Islands of Adventure and it was only a 5 minute drive. There are shuttles available daily to most parks also. The room was clean, nice feather comforter and pillows. The room had a slight musty smell but you got used to it. AC was one of those window deals, worked fine. Plenty of towels. Hot tub might need some work though because the water level was really low. This hotel was perfect for us because we were only there to sleep and shower. Rate was great and it included breakfast buffet for two each morning, nothing exciting but it held us over until lunch. Fresh fruit, eggs, cereal, toast, English muffins, bagels, pancakes, breakfast meat, coffee, and OJ. So all in all, we would stay there again because the location and rate is really good! "

"I ordered two standard rooms and got a great a value for a long weekend at universal studios with the family. The rooms were clean and the hotel was very nice. It also included free breakfast every morning. They sad it was free internet but the internet didnt reach the top floor. We also had a leak in the bathroom. I told the front desk about both issues and they upgraded both rooms to a suite. The pool was heated and the location is awesome!. Overall a great experience and would defintely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice hotel with a great value. "
