The hotel is elegant, yet great for relaxing after a long day at work. My room had a view of the golf course and I could see fireworks in the distance every evening around 9:30 pm. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. My only regret, I didn't have enough time to explore the spa. They open at 9 am and close at 7 pm, so if you are there on business plan to stay an extra day so you can enjoy the amenities. This is my new, favorite place to stay in Orlando.

I'm not really a resort person, but the JW Marriott exceeded my expectations. Katie at the front desk was very friendly and competent, and throughout our stay we found the entire staff to be similar. Granted we are planning a corporate meeting there and had been flagged as "VIP"s, but random housekeeping staff, the guy at the towel hut, etc. didn't know that, and they were just as nice and professional. The rooms were very nice, if a little small, and the pool and lazy river area are gorgeous an... Read more

We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel and enjoyed the property very much. The staff there are excellent! The breakfast buffet it awesome! The spa is also a terrific facility... and we enjoyed our treatments there very much, but ... when we got the bill we were in for a big surprise. This is one of my favorite Marriott properties. The property is amazing and has something for everyone. The lazy river pool and the fitness center are over the top in a good way. The hotel staff goes out of their way to make sure your stay is enjoyable. They also do a great job of valuing Marriott rewards members. Whether you are here with family, for business or just for a romantic weekend, this is the best property in the Orlando area for all of it.

We've stayed at this place many times through the years and it was our favorite Orlando resort. It had been about three years since our last visit, and we were very disappointed to discover how the place has gone downhill. It's still a decent place, but it's obvious that the the hotel's ownership/management has decided to reduce expenses and cut corners. The pool area is dirty and the landscaping budget cut to the bone. The common areas and restaurants need to renovated (the upholstery at Primo... Read more

Visited for a few nights in February. Kind of cool, but nicer than NJ! Joined my husband, who was presenting at a conference. Beautiful lobby, rooms & grounds. It was a bit too cool for me to use the pool, but it was quite inviting. Restaurants were overbooked. Had a mediocre overpriced meal at the bar in one of their restaurants. Usual menu. Nothing special.

Beautiful property with everything you need for a family getaway. Golf course, lazy river, kids activities and a Starbucks on the premises. Our room had a balcony although it was too small to have chairs. (That would have been nice.) They did have fireworks on the weekend which we enjoyed from the balcony. The room was well appointed and everything from check in to check out went smoothly. Our first night, we opted to enjoy dinner at the pool side restaurant but do note that it closes rather ea... We love JW Marriott's! We totally enjoyed our stay even though we were there for a convention and the weather was not the best. The resort is beautiful and the rooms are very nice, the staff was accommodating and helpful. Even though we had requested a room with a walk-in shower when the reservation was made,we didn't get one and had to switch twice to get one. Luxury and comfort in Orlando! Just the place to relax after a fun -- but hot and exhausting day at Universal Studios. The pool complex is well appointed, spacious with a lazy river. Our family enjoyed evening swims after dinner. There are various dining options from casual meals at Quench by the pool, to at least 3 restaurants in the hotel. Beautiful lobby, super comfy beds, and free shuttle to Universal added to the great experience.

My husband and I stayed here for five nights in May for our anniversary. I cannot remember the last time I enjoyed a hotel of this quality. The rooms were quiet, the beds were comfortable, the staff was friendly, the lobby was beautiful. If I had only one complaint it would be the times of transportation to and from the Disney parks. I had a conference and checked in for a five night stay. Great valet and bell staff upon arrival but it got even better. Jazzie checked us in and couldn't have been more accommodating. She gave us two adjacent rooms (two adults/two kids) on a higher floor with lake/pool views. The next day we came in to find a super kind hand written note with what was probably a $100 tray of snacks and iced local craft beers. So, so nice. The housekeeping staff was also amazing. Mireya was prompt and wen... Read more

We added an additional night to our holiday to grab an extra night in Orlando and chose to stay here. This is a gem. Great, great hotel that is really first class. Facilities are great - plenty of them and well maintained. Service is immaculate and staff are genuine and interested. This will be at the top of our list when we return to Orlando. Great hotel, great location, great facilities and accommodation (beds are even better than Marriott usually high standard!) and above all else wonderful, ... Read more

This was a very nice hotel, very pleasant grounds and I loved the pool area and it's lazy river. We were 5 adults (family) across 2 rooms but were told by a surly attendant at the pool that we could only have 4 tubes and would have to pay $7 for the fifth one. Seriously?, we paid $4000 for 4 days, on top of that a resort fee, and were asked to pay a few dollars more for a tube? (We didn't by the way because of her snotty attitude, we just grabbed one of the ones floating around). Staff (with t... Read more

Whether we are in Orlando to visit theme parks, or just some R & R, we always stay at this hotel! It's clean, convenient, and has lots of on-site restaurants and activities for everyone in the family. JW has never disappointed us! The kids especially love the lazy river.

Very nice hotel with helpful and friendly staff. A 5 star rating all around..Restaurants were excellent for all meals. The Citron Restaurant had fantastic breakfasts. Outdoor lazy river and pool were a hit for all age groups. Plenty of lounge chairs to relax in. Very impressed with this hotel. Hotel is close to Sea World and Disney.

I don't think I can say enough nice things about this hotel! The staff is phenomenal, the rooms are impeccable, and the pool and lazy river are absolutely the best part of this hotel! My family and I have been here several times and this visit was simply for rest and relaxation before I had to go to a big conference for work! It surely did the trick because I was very relaxed when I left. It is by far our favorite hotel in Orlando! If you have not stayed even one night at this hotel, you must g... Read more

Very Clean Grounds. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff too to bottom. Dining excellent. My only moment was noting that my sink in bathroom wasn't clean when I checked in. Otherwise a very enjoyable stay with a first class SPA, a lazy river and excellent poolside dining.

Just returned from 2 weeks at this resort.Have stayed at the Omni at Championsgate and the Hyatt Regency on International drive .Both are top class however the JW Marriott Grande Lakes beats them both. The resort is around 10 mins from International Drive ,20 mins to Disney and Universal studios. Our party consisted of my wife and I and our 18 yr old daughter. We had booked a double room through British Airways holidays (40% discount on room) .However on arrival we were offered a suite which we a... I am some what biased towards Marriott properties, but I am a big fan of the JW at Grande Lakes. We live in Tampa, and we stay here often when we take short trips to Orlando to visit the parks with the kids. It is a beautiful property and my family loves the pool area which has a very relaxing lazy river. In normal Marriott style, the services was great and beds supper comfortable. We decided to have dinner on property Friday night and I was pleasantly surprised. We started with apps at the... Read more

This hotel is collocated with the Ritz Carlton. They share a gym and spa. The rooms and public areas are certainly very nice, but noisy and crowded. It would guess at this time of year they cater to large groups. We did find the hours for meals inconvenient. On Sunday there was no place to go for lunch within the hotel, and Florida in August doesn't invite strolls outdoors. Liked the valet parking and the water station. The Kitchen restaurant had interesting food and friendly staff.

As always this location is my family favorite. Great rooms and facility. We go there for the lazy river pool facility. Very good location, access and a quick in and out missing most Orlando sites traffic.

We stayed here again this year for the conference that we attend every year...it is fantastic. The staff, the rooms, the location, the amenities, and the restaurants are great. With a full on Starbucks downstairs, great onsite restaurants and access to activities at the Ritz, this is a fantastic stay when in town. The wait staff by the pool are very attentive. The bar downstairs is being remodeled-to be done mid August-yet even with that, they still are making drinks and working hard to make the... Read more

We arrived to this large hotel late in the day. Had a small but delicious dinner at an on site restaurant which was on the pricey side. The bed in our room was the most comfortable bed I have slept on in years. Beautiful designed rooms. We have always been partial to the Hilton chain, but might have to reconsider!

Hotel and the grounds are beautiful. Lazy river is nice and the water is warm. Rooms are a little dated. Our room faced the car park, which was terrible. Customer service is lacking - everything seemed like a massive chore to them! A shame as it's a lovely hotel but the staff let it down. Has put me off staying with the Marriott group in the future.

We went for 5 days stayed in this beautiful property in orlando. Only 25 mins away from the airport and a city in its own. The property is well like atlantis in Dubai - the room was on 8th floor with balcony as we took the lake view room. The view includes the swimming area, hotels golf area by the lake , a vast sky with various colors al the time. The staff is very helpful , a nice souvenir kum pharmacy shop for small needs is there. Interesting business model as JW Marriot and Ritz got together and built side by side, sharing a golf course. JWM has excellent food, perfect service, beautiful hotel with little sign of group after group who comes through. Impressive. For a large group, one of the better choices in Orlando and with hundreds of hotels, that's impressive.

This review is a tad late as we stayed in June but didn't want to let it pass without having a say. We have stayed at this hotel 3 times now and every time is as good as the last. The staff on the reception are welcoming and helpful on arrival they was happy to ensure we had a high level pool view room with a balcony which is what we requested. The rooms was lovely and clean with a good supply of water and toiletries.one of the big attractions of this hotel of course is pool and lazy river. ... Read more

I was there for a conference and both the facility and services were wonderful. This is a great place to bring your family if you're having a conference, or if you're just on vacation. My room with the queen size bed was clean and spacious. The view of the lazy river and golf course from my room was stunning, but it was even better to be in the lazy river -- it just kept going, and going -- a great way to unwind at the end of the day. I particularly enjoyed The Kitchen for its small bits and the... Read more

Cannot say enough good things about this hotel. We have stayed here on numerous occasions and the staff are always courteous and professional, the hotel lobby is gorgeous, the pool is phenomenal, and the rooms and beds are so comfy. If you book early enough, the rates are very reasonable compared to other comparable resorts in the Orlando area. Try to get a suite facing the pool with a balcony - they are wonderful!
