"Not even a one night stay... there was old smelly rotten milk and juices inside the refrigerator , the heat wasn't working and the engineer on duty was very rude, front desk at check out time was extremely rude/.the only good thing about this place is its location and the restaurant for breakfast is very good ... the waiter was very polite and attentive. Overall experience /never coming back again!"

"Upon driving up to the International Palms, I was bit skeptic. It's a huge property across from a lot of traffic and touristy area (which is fine - just letting you know).

It did look like a older style 'motor lodge' but then some additions added - like another newer 5 or 6 story tower.

The lobby was in good condition with what appeared to be some recent renovations. As well there were other areas that were under renovations as well.

The pool area is spectacular, lots of seating, nice size pool, manicured lawns (with volleyball nets) - a great family location. Even hammocks for relaxation and a koi pond, though it was terribly green and all I saw were two sliders (turtles).

Now for the room... OUTDATED to say the least! Though the bedding was fairly up to date, the bathroom faucets, shower head and condition left little to be desired, though I will say the water pressure and heated water was much nicer than many other places I've stayed. I was quite taken back by the old style television (no flat screen here) and too small of a TV if you plan on viewing while you are visiting.

All in all though, despite the condition of the room that was not cozy or inviting, I was actually welcomed and pleased with the staff (except a bartender who was too busy flirting than taking my drink order)... the front desk staff and every one I came in contact with was friendly and helpful. (even the flirting bartender was pleasant, I just got a bit irritated standing there for literally 8 minutes when the bar did have quite a few patrons. "

"I went with my daughter nd husband nd had a wonderful time. Everything was within walking distance nd the trolly stopped almost in front of the hotel. Te pool is fabulous nd gorgeous. The bartender Imad was great always made sure we were taken care of nd suggested many places to go to nd informed us of the restaurant inside the hotel. We did agree that night we went to dinner inside the hotel the portions were big nd the food was very good.nnI would recommend this hotel nd would love to go back.nnPS.. Love how the only way u can get to ur room is by swiping your hotel key to get te elevator, sweet. "

"We arrived at International hotel to find one Customer Service Rep to help you with checking in. This took way too long. Then when we got to the room, it was said to be remodeled deluxe king room. Well if you call painting remodeled than we have a problem. Oh yes the floor tile was new and so was the paint and thank goodness the bed was new (very comfy). The cleaning staff were always very friendly and courteous, but the customer services reps were nasty. They over charge for everything and I mean everything for eg......a bag of chips that I went and got myself off the shelf at the pool bar which was told to be a $1 came to $1.21 because of tax which ok I get but a 15% gratuity on top of that......come on get real, I am paying for resort fees and being charged even for a local call which was $1.50. Do they really get charged extra on their phone bill for any guest to make a local call. Total rip off. Not impressed with the restaurant there either. Who ever is doing the cooking needs to take some classes, they couldn't even make eggs properly. Really how hard is it to make over easy eggs. When they brought them to the table they were over hard and sent back to get very runny not cooked eggs, so they got sent back again and I guess I was suppose to be very grateful when told the third time that they made me up a brand new plate. This should have been done anyways. We paid $25.00 for breakfast for two people having bacon, eggs, home fries and toast. The customer service reps were all very rude. Where I come from, if you don't give the best of customer service than you have nothing. No one will recommend the establishment to anyone. It is word of mouth that keeps a business going or not. The pool area was very nice and the hot tub area was nice as well, especially when gathering with other people from around the world. From the pictures on the net the resort looked very inviting, please don't be fooled by the pics because the rooms look nothing like they do in the pictures shown."

"The prices was soo reasonable that I almost felt like our room and stay there was free...So there is no way I can even think about complaining at all... plus the room was very clean, the services there was excellent and very accomendating, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the room services was very pleasent... the enviromental services was also on point with making sure when we returned back to our rooms that our bed linen were changed and was made ready to sleep in, we always had enough clean facial, hand and bath towels that were changed out daily. I really enjoyed my stay there because everything was very close and very convient to find, with us being off of International blvd, 'where the hotel sits off of' sorta put me in the reminder of the how the 'Stripped' In Miami, off of Collins Rd' So yes, I would defint. recommend this to family, friends and anyone else who's intrested in looking for a great place to stay that's near all the attractions, in Orlando Florida"

"When we arrived we were told on top of the room fee we already paid for, was a $7.99 resort fee per day for parking, shuttle service to Sea World and Universal, free wi-fi and something else. I said I am not going to any of those places but Disney (and I was told the shuttle to Disney is extra money) I had no use for the wi-fi or anything else but just the parking. So I am going to pay basically $25.00 just to park my truck here where my room is. It didn't matter to them you have to pay this fee to stay there. When we got to our reserved deluxe newly remodeled double room, it was the old stranded double not the deluxe newly remodeled room. I tried to explain to the front desk this is NOT the room I reserved online so they gave me another key to a room next to ours that was exactly the same...why? I felt like I was on a different planet trying to get explain this to them it was a very upsetting situation that I was to tired to deal with and just finally accepted the room we were given. I realized they didn't care and where going to do nothing about it. We were placed by the main hall elevators and doors which we could hear open and close all night and was the main use of all the housekeeping staff and carts. Very noisy! The pool area and game room were all that seemed to be exactly as advertised. We are coming back to Orlando this year and we will NOT stay here again or recommend this hotel to anyone."

"This was a horrible experience. I purchased this vacation as a present to my niece, when I got to the hotel, they didn't have the poolview room I had booked, and instead of telling me that they told me that didn't see that I booked a poolview room. They gave me a different room and assured me that it was a poolview, when I got to the room and opened the curtains I was looking at the express way. I went back down and that is when they told me that they didn't have any poolview rooms but that they were going to put me in a newly renovated room. The only thing newly renovated was a flat screen TV, there were stains on the ceiling and they never changed the sheets on the bed. There is a $8 resort fee but for the life of I am not sure what it is for. You have to pay for anything, including the business center of which didn't work. The only good thing about this place was the pool."

"The hotel is in need of an update. The room was OK. Not the best, but OK. However, it was clean. The location is very convenient. Within walking distance of restaurants and parks. The shuttle to the parks (Universal Orlando) is a plus. Free wi-fi in rooms is great. I had two major issues. One was that the safe in my room was not working. I reported it, and even though I was told they would fix is, nobody came. The second problem was that the vending machines in the tall building (which is where we were staying) were not working. I checked all 13 floors and not a single one would accept bills."

"Do yourself a favor...if you are even contemplating staying at this hotel...DON'T DO IT! I don't usually do this because I was taught that if you don't have anything nice to say...don't say anything at all...but honestly, I feel compelled to warn others of my horrible experience.

The only good part of my stay, is that I was on the ground floor and this is important to me because I have a toddler.

Now for all the bad: the toilet ran constantly without stop, if you took a bath...you also took a shower because it leaked to the point that it felt as though you were also taking a shower, not to mention that they didn't clean the tub everyday, as the ring of soap and hair remained daily and the tub must have been stopped up because it would take literally the entire day to drain after we all took showers. The air conditioning unit made some crazy noises constantly. Although we had four people staying in our room, they insisted on only giving us two towels. The microwave did not work. There were silver bugs crawling in the bathroom. The safe in the room did not work and so we were forced to take our valuables with us and leave them in the car at the parks...we figured that that was probably safer than leaving it in the room. And finally they did not change the bed sheets.

I urge you to find another place to stay. I will never stay here again. For the price that I paid, I could have stayed at a much cheaper hotel and gotten a better result. In this case, I definately did not get what I paid for. SAVE YOURSELVES AND FIND ANOTHER HOTEL TO STAY AT...THIS ONE IS NOT WORTH IT!!!"

"It was my family's first time staying at this hotel and definitely our last. We travel alot to Orlando throughout the year and we have never stayed at such a low graded hotel. I have stayed at hotels where I have paid a lot less than what I paid here and the room, staff, and service was outstanding. We didn't pay for a remodeled room because we didn't think the unremodeled room would be as bad as it turned out to be. The room had webs all over the place even on the lamp shades. The ceilings were cracked. They put us in a room in the far back of Bldg E next to to the entrance where the service people walk in and out with their laundry carts. Not only that, the guests walk in and out of there because it is where the vending machines are at whatever time they want. When I asked the front desk for another room because there was too much noise they responded that they were all sold out....which it was a flat out lie...there was not one day or night that the the hotel's parking lot was completely full. On several occassions we would leave early morning for breakfast and come back late at night from the parks and there was lots and I mean lots of open parking spaces...so open that there were tourist buses parked in the parking lots. I had to wipe down the hotel room with Clorox Wipes because I was afraid my children would catch something. What really made things worse for us...was one day I put the bed spreads on the floor because I do not want them on the bed and on one of the beds they put the same bed spread. Not only that one of my boys spilled ketchup on one of the pillowcases and on the comforter we use to cover ourselves to when we go to sleep so I decided to put them on the floor so they would give us new ones to my surprise the put back on the bed the same comforter and the same pillowcase because the same stains were there. Thank goodness I use a lot Lysol!!! FYI they do not put new bed sheets daily...at the other hotel I stayed they did everyday new sheets especially if they were stained. We will never stay at this hotel again. By the way...do not be fooled by the pictures of the rooms...this room 'Standard Two Doubles' does not look like anything as the picture on this website. Make sure that you read the print carefully, you pay resort fees for self parking, for using the refrigerator and microwave, the gym, and having access to internet....better to spend that extra money at a better hotel. Terrible!!"

"My Family and I travel a lot throughout the year to Orlando. I have paid a lot less for a hotel room and have received a better and cleaner room with better service. Worse room we have ever stayed in Orlando. In a Standard Two Double Room (The picture that is posted is definitely not the room we stayed in)they stuck us in Bldg 'E' Room 1106 all the way in the back facing the highway and the room was next to the door where the cleaning staff walks in and out with their laundry carts at whatever time they feel like between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. . I requested for a quieter room where the staff would not be passing by they said they were sold out...THEY LIED...there was not one day that the parking lot was full especially where we were placed. We would leave early in the morning to eat breakfast and there was open parking spaces we came in late at night and still more parking space...Bottom Line they did not want to move us. Not only did we deal with the staff going through those doors at whatever time we also had to deal with guests going through those doors at all hours because that is where the vending machines were at. The room had spider webs, the ceilings had cracks, the room needed to be cleaned with Clorox wipes before letting my children touch anything. The T.V. is old. The door did not close properly we had to slam it hard in order for the door to close...it didn't even lock. They do not change the bedsheets or pillowcases or blankets daily. As a matter of fact I had a sleepcomforter that was stained by my son with ketchup I put that comfortor on the floor so that they would replace it with another one they placed the same comfortor on the bed. The nasty comfortors they put on the beds I take them off immediately and I spray the bed with Lysol, I put those comforters on the floor because I do not want them back on the bed while I'm there they left one off but the other one they put back on the bed after it had been placed on the floor. A pillowcase had a stain from ketchup again from my son they did not change the pillowcase. I will give credit to maintenance,we had several things broken in our room that needed replacing and maintenance came quickly and changed it and took care of it immediately. By the way, you pay for self-parking, for using the safe in the room, for having the microwave and refridgerator, and a gym we didn't even use. Spend the extra money in a better quality hotel. As mentioned before I have stayed at a hotel where I paid a lot less and I received the best of everythng on all that I mentioned above. Not a good way to spend the last week of 2011."

"My stay was not a very pleasent one... I paid for a Deluxe Kind Remodeled and I did not get what I paid for... I got the other ones that are on the site... This was for my wedding anniversary that I got this room... If I would have known that i was not getting the remodeled one I would have deffinately not paid that price for the room I got. I would have fought and argued to get what I ordered, BUT I was on a time crunch and didn't have the time or energy to do this...

My book it experience was good other than I didn't get what I paid for. The site is user friendly. BUT I will not use it again Unless I see good customer service and a good response to my complaint."

"I will definitely not plan any further stays at this hotel with my family. First of all, I paid for a newly renovated room which I was not given. When I called to inquire as to why, the night staff told me everyone paid for 'newly renovated' and we put them in the tower (which is not newly renovated). The night staff was very rude and unpleasant to deal with. After speaking with new staff the next morning, we were moved to the 'D' Building which is supposed to be newly renovated. Well let me tell you the only difference between the room they moved me from and the new one was that there was a plasma screen tv and the mini fridge and microwave may have been new but the quality of the room was the same which was 'OLD' and 'NOT NEWLY RENOVATED'. You can save your money if you're going to choose newly renovated because I didn't see any rooms worthy of being called that. If you're looking for a real resort, then you should probably keep looking."

"My experience was good with the hotel. The hotel needs to be updated a bit. I wish the rooms were indoors. I got the impression that they were from pictures. If you are heading to the parks, please beware they do charge $4 for the trolley there and back. The breakfast was great, but they do charge for that also. The staff were very nice. Overall, everything was amazing. Thank you International Palms."
