Joan from Glen Burnie, Maryland had this to say:
"We have stayed at the Royal Plaza for the last 3 trips to Disney World and have never had a bad experience. The rooms are very nice and it is convenient to everything. The shuttle only runs every half hour, but we always rent a car anyway. I highly recommend it."

A Recent Traveler from Louisiana, Fort Polk had this to say:
"It was a nice hotel. Staff was friendly, and shuttles to the parks were nice. It saved us a 12 dollar parking fee. Everything was close by. So it was easy to eat anywhere. Rooms were clean and beds were very comfy. We got back from the parks so tired; it was easy to fall asleep. I would stay here again."

Paul from Raleigh, nc had this to say:
"At first I had I was not sure if I should make a reservation at this hotel, but my intuition said go for it based on the cost vs. quality of hotel. When I arrived, I was very happy that I listened to my intuition. When I walked in the front lobby it was massive and open, very neat and organized. My experience with the front desk personnel was that they were professional and extremely courteous. When I walked into the room that I was given, I was very pleased with the appearance and size of the room. When I went into the bathroom area, boy was I impressed! There advertisement did not do it justice: a large garden tub, separate glass shower enclosure. In fact, I believe 3 adults could easily move around without bumping in to each other! Happily, there were plenty of fluffy towels. Transportation was efficient to the Disney parks and transportation center. Their breakfast buffet was good and not overly priced for the area. I can say that when my travels take me to the Disney area again I will have this hotel on the top of my list. I highly recommend to anyone who comes to the Disney area, their room cost is well below the local market when it come to comparable quality. Their 25 million dollar renovations produced a finished product they should be proud of."

Mike from Pembroke Pines, Florida had this to say:
"I have been coming to this hotel since 2007 and I have enjoyed every bit of it. The employees are very polite and helpful. It’s a free shuttle ride to all Disney parks which is a huge plus and it’s walking distance from downtown Disney. I introduced the hotel to my fiancee and she fell in love with it as well. As a matter of fact we are coming back this August. The rooms are beautiful and we always stay in the tower which always has a beautiful view especially when you have a view of Epcot, at night you can actually see the fireworks. For anybody who is contemplating staying here or not, trust me you should. To this day I still have not had a bad experience there."

Steve from olando, FL. had this to say:
"The staff didn't know anything about anything except selling me maps that I didn't need. The valet was know where to be found when I got to the hotel,I had to carry my bags to my room that the key didn't work had to go back down to get another key made still carrying my bags (no cart). Went to the bar to just relax a sec. Another bad idea beer was flat, got a lemon instead of a lime, bartender couldn't answer any questions about anything. OH! the concierge (if you want to call her that) couldn't help me with anything but maps and a bus. All I was doing was going to the House of Blues for the night and didn't want to drive back from the show after having a good time with my new girlfriend. The hotel was very nice and the staff just really didn't care about me or my girlfriend. And BOOKIT.COM was so easy to use and FAST! Thank you bookit.com."

"We stayed here May 2009 and was very pleased. It is a great hotel with everything you need. The room was very nice with lots of room. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our daughter loved eating breakfast at the Giraffe Cafe. The location is very convenient to other attractions as well as Disney. We would stay here again."

Lorraine from Tacoma, WA had this to say:
"We stayed in a Traditional room - small, but clean with comfortable beds -which is really all we were looking for - March/April 09 - we didn't spend much time in the room as we were at the Parks - but for the money and proximity - good deal."

B A from Savage, MN had this to say:
"Despite starting the trip with a canceled flight out of MN, we arrived at the Royal Plaza past midnight and were greeted by a very friendly front desk staff person. We were actually upgraded to a premiere tower room! I found the room to be well decorated, plenty of space, and the bathroom nice - a bit of the linoleum was dirty like it needed to be scrubbed. Always had plenty of new towels. The ironing board and the ceiling fan were not working and both were fixed upon returning from breakfast! Pool area is great - get a chair away from the speakers if you want to relax with quiet background music. Within a great walk from downtown disney. We took the shuttle to Animal Kingdom and it was the expected wait, bus not crowded. We will go there again!"

Hari from Shanghai, China had this to say:
"I was lost which hotel to be booked for my first vacation with my family to Orlando, as well whether to use any travel agent or not as i am based out of Shanghai, China. I first picked BOOKIT.com as my agent and hesitantly took the phone. It was a pleasant surprise to get quickly to the agent by name Mr.Shaun who guided thro very professionally and recommended Royal Plaza. Royal Plaza is a great place 10 minutes walk to disney downturn and having free shuttle buses to Disney parks, it is a great value for money 3rd night being free. Hotel is great with good buffet for kids and adults. it is bit expensive for dinner, but there are more choices in downturn. Hotel is very good and have counters to buy tickets for Universal and Disney. Also BOOKIT.com booked the airport transfers. i am pleased with a hotel and the agent."

K&S from Riviera Beach, FL had this to say:
"We chose this hotel because it's listed as a Walt Disney World Resort. It turned out to be nothing like a Disney Resort. We also chose this hotel because it advertises Pay-per-view movies and a balcony. The pay-per-view worked one night out of the ten. We had to call Maintenance three times to fix the toilet, and the doors to the 'balcony' didn't even open. Also, no matter what dept we tried to dial when we used the phone, we always got the restaurant! It got so it was a joke between the restaurant personnel and us. We'd try to call maintenance for the toilet and the restaurant would pick up and say 'ok, again?'!!! Next time we will stay at a REAL Disney Resort."

Wendy from , Kentucky had this to say:
"Loved staying at this hotel. Will gladly stay again. Huge Room & Bathroom, comfortable beds. My daughter actually liked sitting on the balcony in the evening. One morning we walked from the hotel to Downtown Disney (15 minute walk). The shuttle comes approximately every 30 mins. or so. Will gladly recommend this hotel to familys and couples without children. "

Evelyn from Bakersfield, CA had this to say:
"We booked a deluxe tower room. It was nice and clean. The first night there water was dripped from the ceiling to the sink in the bathroom. We found out that was normal. Because of our inconvenience we were moved into a one bedroom suite at no additional cost. It was roomier. The room safe didn't work. No big deal. One night the jacuzzi tub would not turn off...at midnight we had a couple of guys breaking off large tiles in the bathroom to reach the controls to repair the problem. No big deal I was still on California time anyway. One night we asked for a wake up call. We were called three times the next morning by three different methods. That was overkill. The restaurant we tried out the first night we were there. Service was poor. Meals were not complete...i.e. no veggies with my fish and baked potato. Waitress just blew me off when i pointed out there were things missing on our plates. They were out of bread. It could have been better. Good things about the hotel. Staff was wonderful. It was close to downtown Disney. Shuttle runs every half hour but it takes almost an hour to get to your park by the time it stops at other hotels and other parks. You will be charged $8 per day for a resort fee...even though they advertise free shuttle service to the parks they give you written information about the fee inluding the cost of the shuttle. Cheaper than a taxi. It will cost you $50 roundtrip to go to Universal Studios from this hotel. We went to both parks on different days and spent $100 for those two taxis. Close to the hotel: Olive Garden, TGIF, and Chevy's. Oh yeah, the one night we decided to go to the jacuzzi, it was broken. Pool was nice though. The Disney gift shop downstairs is really cool. WE DID SIX PARKS IN SIX DAYS. It was crowded. Don't go over Christmas vacation up until the second week of January. Mostly Europeans there, very crowded! But the weather was great! I would stay in this hotel again. The rate was unbelievable."

Liz from Jacksonville, FL had this to say:
"My sister and I visit Disney many times a year. This time around we were just looking for a weekend trip for a cheap price. I booked Hotel Royal Plaza for an awesome price and don't regret it. It's location is in walking distance to Downtown Disney. We decided to drive to the parks instead of taking the buses. We knew from previous experiences how long they can possibly take to get to and from the parks. We had a deluxe tower room that was very nice and comfortable. The bathroom was nice and big. There were a couple of things that irked me. There was hair in the bathtub, and the breakfast food was cold and expensive. But other than that I really enjoyed my short weekend stay there and would recommend it to anyone. Oh by the way that elevator in the middle....I wouldn't take it. It reminded of the movie Tower Inferno where the elevator came apart from the building. Just a thought."

A Recent Traveler from Atlanta, GA had this to say:
"This was our first Disney trip as a family and I was disappointed in this so called 4 star hotel. I have stayed in 4 star hotels before and this is not one. The power was shut down one night and it wasn't that big of deal to us because we didn't really have to rely on our alarm clocks but I feel sorry for the other folks who did. Also, we got the deluxe tower room and in the bathroom, the curtain rod hooks were rusted. One of the overhead lights in the vanity kept flickering on and off. The plug in the bathroom wouldn't work right, I was constantly having to reset it everytime I used anything! The room service staff was not that good meaning if you order a $10 pancake plate that comes with a meat of your choice they should ask you what meat you would like instead of not giving you any at all. I have been to plenty of restaurants that when you order a plate of food that comes with sides they always ask what sides you would like even if you don't say you want them. That happened both mornings that we ordered room service. Overall, it was a pretty clean place and the staff was friendly. I will not stay here again, but it is a nice 3 star hotel. "

A Recent Traveler from Poughkeepsie, New York had this to say:
"Just for clarity, they hotels are not located IN Disney World and are not technically the Disney World Resort Hotels -- ie., All Sports, Carribean Beach, Contemporary, Boardwalk... I think it's misleading to call the Hotel Royal Plaza a Disney Resort Hotel. It's just a hotel in the Disney area."

Nicole from Seffner, Florida had this to say:
"My boyfriend and I took our first vacation together. I am was very satisfied w/ the hotel and the room. Very clean and friendly staff. The shuttles were always on time and we didn't have to wait that long. I like the convience of being so close to Disne and Downtown disney. The pool area was huge and clean. Very great experience. I would defnitely go back to that hotel."

"My husband and I are huge Disney enthusiasts. We have been to Orlando many, many times and have stayed in a variety of hotels including those on Disney property. We stayed at the Royal Plaza during our most recent vacation (Oct. 21-28, 2008). It was a great experience all the way around. The rooms were large and very clean, the hotel staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was fantastic. We would highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again."
