This was our second stay here, but the first in almost 4 years. It was brand new the first time and had better service. Please see my prior review for more details. This was our second stay here, but the first in almost 4 years. It was brand new the first time and had better service. Please see my prior review for more details. We were in room #436, which, I assume was just above the room #336 where we stayed in December 2012. We stayed here the night before one of our weekend trips and booked the ‚??Park and Stay‚?? rate. The rate for the king with Jacuzzi tub was better than the rate for the room without a Jacuzzi tub? Last time, the Park and Stay rate was good for 14 days, but now it‚??s only good for 7 days. Last time, we were on a 10 day trip to Europe, but this time, it was just a weekend trip to Notre Dame for a football game. Check-in was quick and efficient, and I had no complaints above the front desk team, either at check-in or in the morning the next day, except for their apathy about the breakfast service. Breakfast was supposed to start at 6 am, and we had reserved the 6:30 shuttle. I like to floss and brush plus I was going to change my shirt after breakfast, just in case! I arrived downstairs at 6:01 according to my phone and saw a guy in the dark restaurant by the buffet station with his head down possibly texting or something. I had to get my license plate for the parking form so I decided to go out and do that plus move the car closer to the front area. When I returned, my phone said 6:04 with the guy still in the dark in the restaurant. I approached the front desk, and they woke (got his attention, at least) up and got breakfast going. I ordered an egg white omelet with lots of cheese and got one with a little cheese and lots of mushrooms. I added some meat once they brought the incorrectly prepared omelet since I said it was ok. Had there been onion, peppers, etc., I wouldn‚??t have taken it. There were other issues plus it was getting close to 6:20; I didn‚??t want to miss the shuttle. I ate about 3 bites of my omelet and walked away. Breakfast was complimentary for us due to our Diamond status; had I to pay for it, there would have been more issues! I commented as I walked by the front desk and got this ‚??It‚??s not our problem‚?? look! The room was fine, but the bathroom was ready for an update! The counter appeared to have been partially damaged. The end by the tub seemed to be broken off! The tub was ok, and the jets worked. The shower was ok, but it was hard to get the water to a decent temperature without starting out with cold water since it is so small! I do have to say that the room was great, the bed with the adjustable settings was fantastic, the tv worked well and had many clear channels, and that there were no inside or outside noise issues. When we stepped off the elevator upon arrival, there was a big leak from the roof. An employee was there, and she said she would report it! It was downpouring outside as it has been too much lately here in Orlando. The shuttle service was great even though they were working with a challenge: one van was in the shop for transmission issues and one had been in an accident! The one we were on going to the airport had Renaissance on the front? The driver was great and said his manager was using his personal vehicle for overflow which we had for the 6:30 shuttle due to both passengers and some Copa crew as well. We were flying Delta and were the last to be dropped off since everyone else was side A! On our return, we lucked out since I called once we had our bags and told the guy that we only had to descend the escalator to be at the B4 pick-up. When we got downstairs, a shuttle was there for the Hilton Garden (and Marriott). I heard people on the van say that they had been waiting 40 minutes, but we only waited 30 seconds so lucky us! We were the only ones for the HGI and were the first dropped off. Our car was there, undamaged, and ready to go. In conclusion, we would stay there again. I hope this review prompts management to do something about the apathetic breakfast team. Also, in 2012, when they thought we were Diamond but we were only Gold, they gave us some drink coupons plus a free appetizer coupon, but not this time! The bathroom is ready for renovation, and they need to bring back the 14 day ‚??Park and Stay‚?? rate, but, at least, they don‚??t charge for everyday parking like the Embassy Suites (also Hilton property) and Holiday Inn, both In shouting distance, do now! I was very disappointed in the breakfast experience, but I am still going to give it a TripAdvisor 4. Management, you‚??ve got a to-do list now! Check out my review for the Hilton Garden Inn South Bend where we stayed the following 2 nights. They know how to operate a Hilton Garden Inn!
