"Overall the hotel was adequate at best...they are currently renovating it and therefore hallways with baseboards gone are common...they offer a shuttle to and from Universal that if you choose to do picks up once in the morning and returns at the end of the day. Expect about a 40 minute trip for 4 miles with frequent stops at other hotels. Hot breakfast is adequate, very little variety. Pool is very good and enjoyable, but this is about the only highlight of the hotel. Rooms were spacious, but outdated in their appliances."

"This hotel was a great bargain for a big family. It's hard to find good places to stay with a large family that won't kill your pocket book. Hawthorne Suites was great. The main meal for the day breakfast, hot and ready to eat. With a excellent menu of things that change daily to make the meal different. And the rooms are well kept. It truly is a three to four star bargain."

"This hotel is just finishing their renovation. The hotel looks great, we have a lovely time. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Will reccommend this hotel to my friends and family who want to come to Orlando. Good job, now that you have a Tiki bar, we don't have to go for a drink anywhere else in the evening. "
