Decent breakfast, clean rooms, and courteous staff. Power outlet locations definitely not built or updated for today's era (no spare outlets by nightstand or desk) TV automatically turned itself off every couple hours randomly. A/C did same thing on 3rd day/night and had to be manually turned off, rested 30min, then turned back on to cool then randomly just stops doing anything and won't respond to controls except off. Would have rated 4 stars if not for the AC problem on last night.

We came to visit Universal Studios as family vacation. Good location, hotel is a bit outdated but it's clean, has complimentary breakfast and free shuttle to the Universal Studios. It's recommend that you book the shuttle day before because the early hours fill quickly. Staff is nice and helpful. Housekeeping is good. You can enjoy the swimming pool late (10 pm) after long day spent on rides. We enjoyed our stay.

The only issue was the size of bathroom. It was entirely too small. Each of us had to squeeze between the toilet and the door to exit. Also maybe it was just us but we both agreed that the pillows were mostly uncomfortable

We were here on 11th April 2016. We wanted to visit universal studio for my birthday next day. We were warm welcomed by receptionist. We had good breakfast and one of the staff lady did brought a small cake abd and candle for my birthday and she made everyone there sing a birthday song for me. It really made my day and made me feel very special. Thanks to her once again. I don't remember her name. I will surely visit this hotel in future.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was CLEAN. There was a post-it note that said that the sheets as well as the comforter were changed between guests. We were able to sleep there without that icky hotel room feeling, if you know what I mean. The breakfast buffet was nice. Brand name cereals, nice pastries, waffle maker, hot foods which were replenished regularly. Every item looked appetizing. The wifi was great.

The staff minus one of the ladies that deal with the breakfast were all friendly. The room was massive. You can tell the rooms a bit old, had a funky smell. Damp like and the shower was rubbish. The bathroom was a nice size but the toilets a bit too low. But I loved the room. Great location. Lovely breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

We have stayed at this property three times. Breakfast is always really good and changes everyday. Usually at 9 is the busiest time but there is always a way around and enough seating. I cannot comment on pricing as we used points and our stay was free. The parking was easy, the staff were excellent, the room/hotel was clean, breakfast was good (typical Hampton inn). The location is not the best side of town, but it's ok. There is a free shuttle to universal and Disney! The pool is ok. Little ones might be pleased, I did not bother with it. The Hampton is a friendly, clean, and enjoyable place to refer to as your "Home Away from Home". The Staff welcomes you as though you were missed, although it is your first venture here. The hotel is close to Universal Studios which was a plus, however it is a little far from the Disney Parks. They do provide a free shuttle to and from the parks, but you must reserve seats for the shuttle to Universal because it does get full. Overall was a decent experience and just felt that all not some staff at the front desk could be more pleasant, to the children of guests if not to the parents. Hotel is not the most convenient for drivers which make it difficult for entry and exit onto busy Kirkman Road. Property is located across from a very bad section of Orlando known as Tangelo Park and those transients tend to be near the property and area often. This is a very nice hotel that is close to Universal. I t sits right behind Portofino ( on property). The staff is very accommodating and is only 2 lights away form Universal! I completely enjoyed this hotel. the rooms are nice and the staff is very accommodating. the breakfast is good and I would stay there again. There is a shuttle bus to pick you up at the hotel and take you to Universal and lots of restaurants nearby.

My wife and I have stayed at the various Hampton's in other states have been very pleased. No different here, despite that they were going through renovations, made the stay still very pleasant with warm smiles and greetings and the great service that we received in the other ones. Great that there was a shuttle right to Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios and complementary as well. Highly recommend!!

Great staff, felt like a 2nd home. Raymond was wonderful!! Was there during hurricane Mathew and received best service. Made experience fun by taking pictures of guest and putting it on wall. They provided boardgames and candy to kids. Coffee and hithot chocolate always available. Kept us informed of storm updates and more. This hotel was just fantastic!!

We flew into Orlando, tired after 20 hours travelling. We were due to pick up a rental car and drive to Vero Beach on the East Coast...but, Hurricane Matthew got in the way. We immediately decided to stay the night and go west in the morning. Having used hampton many times I used the app on my phone whilst in the airport and booked a room in a nearby Hampton. Tried and tested and a great stay every time. The hotel was central, clean, tidy and the staff friendly and helpful. The room was comforta... Read more

Even though I live locally, I stayed at this hotel with my mother overnight so I could enjoy Halloween Horror Nights at Universal. Regarding location, this hotel's located approximately five minutes away from the Universal Orlando Resort on Kirkman near I-Drive which puts you close to several restaurant options. The hotel's General Manger, Suzanne and her staff worked long and hard looking after their guests as the effects of Hurricane Mathew were roaring through the area. The beds in our room were a bit on the soft side and there was a black, crusty substance observed in the ceiling vent of our bathroom.

Stayed one night. Good = price and proximity to Universal Studios. Bad = lousy beds and tiny bathrooms. Ugly = bed big bites upon leaving. I checked in and found the accommodation lacking. I spent the night and checked out a day early due to bug bites. There are at least 50 hotels of better quality in the area at similar pricing. During Hurricane Matthew we relocated to this hotel due to its proximity to the airport and Universal Studios. Suzanne, the GM kept us abreast of the progress of the storm and went out of their way to make sure all the guests were safe. Suzanne was readily available during my 48 hrs+ hours of stay and was probably multitasking in her sleep because she never stopped while she was awake. Friendly and helpful staff but the hotel is undergoing renovations (much needed) which are causing some current issues. 8 Floors and only 2 elevators (only 1 worked during my 1 day stay). Rooms are small and bathroom is even smaller. You can barley open the bathroom door enough to get in and bam! your on the toilet. No such thing as two people getting ready at the same time but there is a second vanity and sink outside. Door and door knobs wiggle a bit and don't always open/close correctly ... Read more

Despite current room renovations going on the hotel was fully functional with no disruption to guests. The staff and Manager went over and above what might normally be expected to ensure guests were well taken care of. Our stay went extremely well. The hotel is well positioned for a visit to Universal Studios and the free shuttle was great.

I've always had great experiences at the Hampton Inn and this one was just ok. Service was great as usual and they never let you down when it comes to being friendly and caring about their guests. What I didn't like was how tight the room was. I was in room 626 and it was very cramped. It really feels like there is too much furniture in the room. Large buffet, something different each morning. Kids loved the waffles. And I loved the idea of a bagged breakfast to take on the go. The hotel is under renovation, and it really needs it. It's not in a bad location as it's close to Universal, even though the immediate area around the hotel isn't great. The rooms, lobby and fitness center all are a bit dated and in need of freshening. The rooms were clean, the hotel is priced affordably and the staff was extra friendly and helpful. Seems like most Hampton Inn where we have stayed lately, have been under renovation. We don't mind and know this going in, out of all our recent stays this one was the best. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. My mother-in-law had a shoe break and they helped us find some glue just to get her by so we could go get her another pair. Parking is an issue with shipping crates and trash dumpsters, but I'm sure that will improve when renovations are finished. We will definitely be back!
