"After booking 2 nights, I decided to extend my vacation with a little adult time. I could not decide where to stay, so I went with the mystery hotel, for fun. It was 3 stars and in downtown Disney. My mystery hotel turned out to be a nightmare. Upon check-in I was told that they charged for parking and a resort fee which, added to the mystery $89 deal, was not such a good deal. I had to sign an agreement at check-in, before seeing the room, that I agreed to pay the fees, and, if I checked out early, I still had to pay for the days I booked. ( I have never had to fill out such a form before and it made me a little suspicious.) After checking in, while walking to our room, I noticed the rugs in the hall were filthy and thread bare, and the place smelled like carpet fresh which must have been used to mask the fact that it was not at all clean. As we climbed the stairs to our room, the metal railing was loose and shaking. After arriving in the room, after a long hot day I decided we needed showers. I then found the tub was dirty and stained brown and the drain would not go down. When I tried the knob for the plug, it fell out and was rusty. Our room carpet was also dirty and stained. The temperature outside that day was in the high 80's and the room was sweltering. I turned on the AC and found it was not working. I went to the front desk and was told the last guest must have had the heat on and that it might need to be reset. They said that they would send someone to fix it. We decided to go to the pool since it was too hot to stay in the room and wait. It was 4:30 and we went to the hotel gift shop to buy water wings for my young son for swimming. It had a sign.. Be back at 6:30. I asked at the desk and was told that they have nothing to do with the gift shop. We then decided to get dinner or a drink by the pool. However, the advertised poolside bar and restaurant was closed on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant indoors, where free kids meals were suppose to be served, was empty at 5 pm. We went out to eat instead. 4 hours later, no one had arrived to fix the AC yet . Finally, I returned to the desk to ask again about the AC. They replied, ' Oh, no one came?' Finally, someone came and climbed into the ceiling and said it was fixed. It did work, but sounded like a large freight train was roaring through my room. For 2 nights I did not sleep due to the loud noise. Finally, the TV was circa 1995 and the internet that I was promised and given a code for did not work, and our deck was full of peeling and we had a view of a large metal beam. When looking under the bed for a shoe, I found it to be disgustingly dirty and dusty. This hotel was like a very bad joke someone played on me and my young son!"
