"The room was very nice and the staff were very courteous. My wife and I were extremely dissapointed with the supposed 'Resort View'. Our room looked onto the backside of a large hedge that was around the pool area. We had a view of bushes and nothing else. Also the schedule for the shuttle return from Seaworld had been changed and the new schedule didn't make it to all the right people. We had noticed a difference in the dates on the schudule and even asked about it, but were told they were correct. We had to walk back to the hotel at 9 pm. Fortunately it is not to long of a distance but at the end of a long day ay Sea world it wasn't exactly pleasant."

"WOW!! I had never stayed outside of Disney and so the Doubletree was the first. It was fantastic!! When we arrived to the area I thought ugh!! This place is going to be noisy with all the traffic going on and all the and the craziness around it. We entered the beautiful lobby and the front desk staff was very friendly, accommodating and easy to work with. It was as though we stepped out of craziness and into this peaceful and beautiful resort. The room - not in the tower - was perfect. The beds nice and comfortable - towels large and soft - lotion, shampoo and conditioner were awesome! Even the in-room coffee was pretty good (Wolfgang Puck)- and thats coming from a Starbucks snob (they do have a place to buy Starbucks on-site)! We could walk out our door and take the path anywhere, no waiting for elevator! Having a child this was great. The breakfast is abit expensive, but all the food was fresh and there were a lot of choices. They offered: eggs - they even had a made to order omlette area , french toast, waffles, bacon, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruits, yogart, cheese, meats, etc. The grounds were beautifully manicured and lush, music playing by each of the 3 pools (open to swim in until midnight) was very enjoyable - not loud or obnoxious! They had a ping pong table, pool table, 9 hole putt putt, foosball and life size chess outside for play. We would stay again - this place was wonderful! I dont know what other places around the area of this hotel are like but this place was awesome!! It should have at least 4 stars if you ask me!"

Posted: Thu, Jan 20, 2011"Recently my son and I were able to take a short vacation to Disney/Universal and stayed at the Doubletree Resort. Our room was very nice, staff was friendly and helpful. Their special check-in chocolate chip cookies were great. This resort also has the free shuttle bus that will take you to Disney, Universal and other places in Orlando, this saved us on driving. I would highly recommend staying at the Doubletree."
